I can say that Corey is an interesting idea, but his introduction this late in the trilogy was the biggest problem. Had he been just a minor character in the first film, more fleshed out in Kills, and then taking center stage in Ends would have been a more natural, more well written way to fill this idea out.
I been saying this!!! The fact he was randomly pushed in the center stage in ends is why it didn't work. Having build up with having him in each movie would have been better
I remember someone saying that Cameron could have been a good fit too. After what Michael did to his neck, it would be a cool reason as to why Cameron can't speak like Michael. Or Aaron from 2018 would be cool too after what Michael did to his brain. He would pretty much be a vegetable if he lived.
i love when horror villain actors speak in bts stuff bc it's like super intense and they look super scary and then the sweetest little voice comes out "it's okay :3"
If you ask me, the spiral staircase death is even better when you consider the overhead shot as a foreshadowing of the spiral Corey's life is about to take.

Yeah, the turnaround is so weird. It doesn't feel like the end of a well-known series. I can agree that the performances weren't bad but I can't understand why any of these changes were made.
She was paranoid for 40 years because she had untreated PTSD that she just let run rampant. After her daughter is killed, she clearly went into therapy. I hate that people can not understand that. Sincerely, someone who dealt with untreated PTSD for 20 years and now lives a much different, healthier life after getting therapy
@@giamiabiaTho it wasn't established at all if she went to get professional help. That's part of the issue with this movie is we never get to fully digest into Lori's progress, the first 2 take place around the same night but Ends is 4yrs later, making her character fill mostly out of touch with the rest of the series almost like she's in a different movie.
It’s important to note that she believed for 40 years Michael was coming back for her. She found out in Halloween Kills that he doesn’t care about her. That probably pushed her to change plus she needs to get better to be there for Allyson. She doesn’t necessarily want to move on but more so HAS to. Which is why she’s writing a book. That’s her new way of dealing with it.
If Kills and Ends really were written at the same time, it's even more infuriating that Corey wasn't written into the story in Kills if this was the plan all along. Idk I just still can't believe the story decisions this movie made, but James is right about the performances, everyone gives it their all
I mean he did say they planned it as two movies. So maybe they'd had kills written before ends. But at the same time they also added the radio tower to kills because they knew they were gonna revisit it in ends.
@shaynetrimm5268 I just wish we had gotten to know Corey a little bit, for him to be someone we get introduced to and dies off in the same movie, we just don't know about him at all. Like maybe if he had been friends with the daughter already, like have him be the Oscar role, have him encounter Michael but live, then he would have a strong connection with both him and her by the time this movie came out.
This new trilogy mirrors the original trilogy almost perfectly: 1. Halloween (1978)/Halloween (2018): Michael Myers escapes and begins his rampage 2. Halloween II/Halloween Kills: Second half of the same night, Laurie Strode spends the movie in the hospital 3. Halloween III/Halloween Ends: Wait, where the hell is Michael Myers? 🤣
She also does it instantly before the director yells "cut", which is even sweeter because it shows she'd rather check on him right away even if it means ruining a take.
Laurie: *slits Michael’s throat and wrists* Michael: HA! It will take more than tha- Entire town: puts his body through an industrial shredder Michael: …That ought to do it.
7:15 This was one of my biggest issues with this movie. Michael was captured in 1978 and was contained for 40 years and Laurie Strode never moved on. Her one single encounter with him changed the entire course of her life and she had a bad relationship with her daughter because of it. Michael then kills her daughter and hasn't been seen since and she somehow moves on within 4 years. Riiiight.
The statement that she moved on is played on in the film. We learn pretty quickly from Allyson that Laurie may be looking forward to a brighter lifestyle, but deep down she's still broken by the events. As soon as she's aware something is suspicious about Corey, she's still the paranoid woman she was prior, just without the aresnal and oversized mouse trap of a house.
Honestly the biggest bit of b.s with these movies is not Laurie being traumatized but the whole town including Tommy who Michael never targeted and Lonnie Elam. Michael straight did not care about those kids and they out here acting like he stalked them 🙄. Never have I rolled my eyes so hard at a plot point for any other movie before.
As a standalone film for Corey Cunningham, it's very solid. As a movie that's supposed to complete the story of Michael Myers and Laurie Strode, I honestly don't think it could be worse. How the hell do you have those 2 share less than 5 minutes of screen time together in their big finale after almost 45 years?
@@a.t.9572 that's literally most of her moments in the film. She's trying to be normal to leave the man that ruined her whole life path, and everyone in the wake of the rampage tears her down. Her normalcy is almost a guise weighed down by her depression and paranoia within.
i wanna see what happened right after she tells Michael shes coming to find him and walks out of the hospital like a badass. did she get sudden amnesia?
The fact that Halloween 2018 and Halloween Kills flows so well with each other (literally taking place on the same night) makes the decision for a time jump so damn jarring especially with Micheal Killing Karen at the end of kills something that barely goes acknowledged in Ends.
That was another thing I NEVER understood. You mean to tell me that Laurie spent 40 years preparing for the return of this man, so much so that she's completely alienated her family and developed this massive trauma...however, 4 years after seeing him, fighting him, him nearly killing her, him ACTUALLY killing her daughter, him slaughtering half the town...she suddenly gets over him and becomes Susie the homemaker?? What????? 😂😂 Killing her friends, she spends 40 years in trauma. Killing her daughter, she reinvents herself in 4 years. I CANT. 😂😂
The problem is that Ends was supposed to continue on the same night, but they had to delay it because of COVID and somehow it got completely reworked. I don't blame anyone but the studio.
Having them all take place on the same night just wouldn't have worked with how things turned out. I don't know how you could make a movie focused just on Laurie and Michael fighting stretch to fit a feature film runtime.
@coolnerdlll6053 that's also very true. However, once they got the greenlight to move on, they should have stuck with the original plan. Ends was terrible. I mean, I think some people WANT to like it for many reasons, one being to support the world's best final girl...but man, it just wasn't good.
I think this movie would have been better without Michael Myers at all. A babysitter goes nuts when he accidentally kills a kid could work on its own... maybe they could have gone the anthology route again
When you take off your cookie cutter goggles before you watch Ends, it's still a far better film than most in the franchise. People would have still complained if Ends was just another Michael on a killing spree movie, especially after the brain turn off that was Kills.
Yeah, but this point Michael is on his last legs, he’s been living in the sewers for years with untreated wounds and he’s basically running on fumes now.
I like that James took the time to give Rohan Campbell his praise. There may have been flaws in how the executed his character and story (he should have been introduced earlier in the trilogy ) but Rohan gives an amazing performance. And he deserves the lines he gets at conventions 🧡
I recently watched a review for Halloween ends that pointed out how much his character’s performance is similar to Keith Gordon’s performance in Christine and I def see it, I really hope he gets to show his acting skills in horror again, he’s gonna be in The Monkey so I’m hyped about it
@@SniperDiplomatbut that’s not a… mcu thing, that’s a movie series thing, when you know you are going to be telling a story across multiple movies you start plot points early and develop them because things coming out of nowhere in sequels lessens the impact the could’ve had otherwise
@@crizmeow8394 That is not a thing in horror. I don't think it's a good thing in general. Even SAW movies which have a lot of continuity never introduce something that doesn't serve a purpose in the movie it's introduced in.
@@SniperDiplomat But it is a storytelling device. It's not MCU specific thing and Kramer had a flashback of his wife in the 3rd movie who we then meet in the 4th. Saying it's the MCU-fication of cinema is an exaggeration when most stories follow that kind of model. It's setup and payoff in a simple format
I feel like they might have been trying to go down the path of Corey being a successor of some sort, which is a cool idea honestly. He needed to be introduced in the 2018 installment though, possibly him being a good kid with some evil intention, then in Halloween kills exploring that more then in ends full out Michael’s successor or something. In general, them adding (aside from Michael) the main killer in the very last movie wasn’t the greatest idea, unless this character was explored earlier.
I was waiting for this!! Small brag: I was at the convention where they met Rown! He cut in right before my meet-and-greet, and I was more than okay with that! It was so fun seeing them interact. Also, it was so fun meeting you guys! You are the coolest. I also think you should Kill count Butcher, Baker, Nigtmare Maker. Another crazy under the radar film! lol
What kills me the most about this movie, is that there is absolutely NO WAY Laurie Strode, who after losing her friends in 1978 and developed such severe PTSD that she became an alcoholic recluse who meticulously planned for Michael’s return and pushed her family away as a result…. Would simply live a life of peace and serenity after the Monster who’s haunted her entire life killed her daughter and then disappeared. Like come on man, if she was that messed up after the first incident and he was committed for life, there’s no way she wouldn’t be completely mental after losing Karen and at least like 20 other people she knew, with the knowledge he’s still out there. In Halloween 2018, she lived in a fortress with a bunker that would make Burt from Tremors jealous and now homegirl’s on the block just baking pies and trying to get her granddaughter laid while Mikey is out mentoring 🤦🏾♂️. Corey’s late introduction(Or his introduction at all) and Michael’s short screen time is a rant for another video
Yep, not to mention that with the killer alive and at large, this traumatized town has gone back to trick or treating and parents going to Halloween parties like nothing ever happened. 😂
James can finally sleep peacefully now that the most requested kill count is finally out after endless months of fans screaming “EVIL DIES TONIGHT” in his head
The fact that Corey came and went in 1 movie, leaves me both baffled and confused… if Corey’s future was ambiguous, it would’ve gone a long way to make the movie feel less empty…. It wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t at all what was promised.
They should have ended it with Corey being caught alive and locked away in Smith's Grove. With Alyson leaving, it would have her avert her grandmother's path and end on an optimistic note while still leaving Corey as Haddonfield's new bogeyman.
9:06-9:28 My favorite reaction from James in this video. Also I love how James says "Hi Frank." just like Squidward in the classic SpongeBob episode: "Dying for Pie".
12:29 "He's Michael Myers, he's Michael Myers, you're Michael Myers, I'm Michael Myers! Are there any other Michael Myers' I should know about?! Michael Meowers: _Meow_
To be fair, that's what Carpenter noted about him. There's nothing to Michael beyond him just killing because that's kinda what he does. The '78 film even reflects this with how Michael is not really treated like a human but rather a creature, this unknowable entity.
@@popliuon2304 Halloween 1978 is my favorite horror movie ever. Michael has motive, he is evil personified. His motive is to commit evil. That is very easy to write for. It’s also very easy to write a town that’s been haunted by that evil. They fumbled it at seemingly every opportunity. It doesn’t need to get mixed up. I’m by no means saying I can do better, but I don’t have to have the ability to do better to recognize that someone else can.
Walking out of this movie I said that the main problem with it is that it's called Halloween ENDS. The Corey stuff would have been a genuinely fun plotline for a movie called like, Halloween 8: The Student of Michael Myers or something. But in a movie that's supposed to be a grand finale, it feels like it takes up way too much air. They should have done the Corey arc in the second film and saved Michael's grand guignol massacre from Kills for the trilogy capper.
Ends was the first Halloween movie I ever actually watched in cinema, despite its quirks I did rather enjoy the movie and how they finally gave Michael a proper send off
Ends always baffled me since I could see the makings of a genuinely really good and interesting standalone story in Cory's overall progression, but a really half baked Halloween plot got slapped on top of it and muddled the waters a lot. It's like a pretty solid glass of wine someone poured water into and kinda just ruins the whole thing
Part of the problem is: they make Michael out to be a huge threat, but during the actual movie, he's old or something, and needs Corey to be his little sidekick or some crap.
I love that I can always trust James to be the most level-headed person in the room. As someone who has mixed feelings on this movie (I think it's a decent standalone thriller that got shoehorned into an ill-fitting franchise), the toxicity and hate surrounding it is out of control. You're allowed to love or hate a movie, but that's all it is - a movie. When you villainize the other side, you forget that, and I really wish people didn't forget it.
Well tbf despite cheesy theme of Halloween , the hyper-polarization of pop culture and hyper-tribalization in merica is so weird that even if they didn't try to replace / modernize Halloween series since for some reason movie makers trying to make ppl aware of social issues is like some taboo and ppl watching these movies don't like it As if these issues don't exist in real life and would prefer to live in ignorance hoping the problem goes away magically instead of working on resolving it. So even with villanization of the other side , it's funny how both sides miss the point that both are contributing to problem since they represent the different side of the same coin/problem.
The part where Laurie looks at the 4th wall and says “Tonight…Halloween Ends…” before killing Michael made me cry. Definitely the slasher film of all time.
Glad I’m not the only one who was pissed about that lady who survived being stabbed in the neck with the fluorescent bulb. The odds of that happening are next to impossible.
My biggest issue with this film is I'm perfectly fine with making it more about Corey's fall into insanity and following in Michael's footsteps than a 70 year old dying Michael going on another rampage. As the saying goes "Evil doesn't die, it changes Shape". BUT if you're dedicating a majority of the movie to this story DON'T HAVE MICHAEL KILL HIM OFF AT THE END. Something I don't see enough is praise for the music in these 3 movie. The soundtrack especially for a horror movie is fucking incredible. Banger after banger.
Yeah, it seems like the ideal plot would be Corey survives the film and Michael's blamed for all the killing so Corey gets away, but we see him take Michael's mask so Laurie's "evil changes shape" monologue actually has some relevance. They already take Michael's mask off for the final kill, it doesn't disrupt any part of the film if Corey just doesn't get up when Michael comes to take his mask back.
Word of advice for anyone going to Korea and Japan for the first time. Treat the cab drivers like Kings. Because if you find yourself in a spot of trouble, lost or whatever, those cab drivers are going to be the ones to take care of you and get you back to your hotel safely.
Me too, well in kills. I found out Sandra was not dead. when Michael grabs a knife walk past her. I can definitely tell Sandra is still alive because she still breathing.
I always think that HALLOWEEN ENDS would be better as an epilogue to a much more explosive ending, serving as a “departure” to the Halloween series… before its inevitable rebooted
The Corey storyline could have been better as a revival of halloween franchise in 5 years or so with a complete new cast and just him as Corey being the main character and killer with michael
23:49 for those who don't understand what happens in this scene, Corey stabs himself in the neck and Laurie pulls it out right when Allyson walks in making it look like Laurie killed him

I'm one of the people that thinks it would have been better if Corey was in a separate slasher that was made for him specifically (or introduced earlier in the trilogy). Imo, seeing someone progress into becoming a slasher villain as we see him go through a we-live-in-a-society struggle would be interesting - but what makes this movie suffer is that it was advertised as a standard Halloween movie.
Love the Killcounts; minor nitpick in the future - torch used in the Terry kill is an Oxyfuel Cutting Torch (Most likely in the scene and Oxyacetalyne system but could be Oxypropane due to the scrap yard setting). A Oxyfuel welding torch typically has a more narrow nozzle and precision - you can tell as well in the BTS shot (Prior to cutting the fake head) That it has a Dump Lever (Shoots oxygen to direct the flame in a cutting pattern.) - Welding would just burn the face.
20:34 “Para-Did him in” I love this drum pun so much and it was so unnecessary and probably not even understandable to the average viewer, it really goes to show just how much thought and effort goes into every piece of James’ videos. Made me giggle a bit lol.
Despite how this movie turned out, I loved how this trilogy really gave a personality to Haddonfield, it feels liek these people have lived with each other for years
@@gagewhite9013You didn't like it that's fine, but I like how these characters actually seem like they know each other. Makes it feel more lived in in my opinion
Fun facts 1. Laurie writing her memoir entitled "Stalkers, Saviors, and Samhain". Samhain the Celtic festival which eventually became the Halloween holiday we are familiar with but was referenced in prior Halloween movies. In Halloween 2 Loomis finds that Michael's written in on blackboard but he translates the word to mean lord of the dead which isn't quiet historically accurate. Halloween 3 Season of the Witch Conal Cochran is a Celtic witch who plans a mass sacrifice of children on the night of Halloween. Holiday is also central to the plot of Halloween Curse of Michael Myers the eponymous curse is the curse of Thorn which (in movie canon) was driving force for Michael to kill. 2. Curtis officially broke two records first one for being in most Halloween films eight (Halloween 78, H2, Season of the Witch she voice role, H20, Resurrection, and H40 timeline) previous record holders were Harris four and Pleasence five (H20 and Kills do not count since wasnt Pleasence) and second one playing same character in most Halloween films with seven while Donald Pleasence five, Danielle Harris two, Charles Cyphers three, Kyle Richards three, Nancy Stephens four, Nancy Kyes two, and Nick Castle three (H78, Halloween 2018 cameo as Michael, and Kills played Michael again) 4. Lowest kill count for Michael in any Halloween film 5. Laurie had a framed photo of her, Annie, and Lynda in her house that was a promo photo from original Halloween. 6. Second time Myers home was destroyed in Halloween franchise first time was Resurrection. 7. Halloween franchise record of 13 films most in horror franchise others with most sequels are Saw, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Children of the Corn, Child's Play, Texas Chainsaw, Scream, the Ring, the Grudge, Puppet Master, Conjuring, Romero Dead franchise, Return of the Living Dead, Insidious, Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy, and Wolfman 8. Lyndsey is the only survivor to not have on screen time interaction with Michael and not be present for Michael burial. 9. All three of Allyson boyfriends were killed by Michael in H40 timeline 10. Don't Fear The Reaper is officially the Halloween song similar to Red Right Hand being officially associated with Scream. 11. An alternate ending saw Michael completely transfers his energy to Laurie as he dies and Laurie knows about it towards the end of the film Allyson goes to visit Laurie which shows Laurie grabbing her granddaughter telling her to leave Haddonfield at this point Laurie is infected with evil. You can see footage of this being filmed a fan managed to catch this scene being filmed unfortunately this scene was cut and unknown why this wasn't included in blu ray/dvd features however photo of Laurie opening the door with angry cold expression to Allyson can be seen on back of blu ray/dvd 12. Halloween Ends novelization Michael is the one who killed Joan rather than Corey 13. Ends novelization Corey mother Joan has very dark past she was responsible for grisly accident that took life of her toddler brother she moved his chair and the poor child fell to his death all because Joan was feeling left out and unseen by her big family. 14. Halloween Ends novelization Michael has more kills 15. Novelization Michael evil spread to more people it's revealed by Laurie that after Michael arrest in 78 Michael infected his cell mate who ended up killing two orderlies and then took his own life 16. Terry Tramer who is the grandson of Ben Tramer are the people to not be murdered by Michael Myers in the franchise. Ben was crushed burned alive in Halloween 2 (Thorn timeline) and Terry was burned alive (H40 timeline) 17. Hawkins is only survivor of Halloween Kills who has no scenes with Corey despite telling Laurie that he knows him. 18. Ends is the last Halloween movie under blumhouse with the rights of the film series reverted back to Malek Akkad. Akkad himself was asked about future of franchise after Ends he half jokingly quoted his late father who always quoted series star Donald Pleasence when asked how many Halloween movies he was going to make he laughed and said "I'm going to stop at twenty two" 19. The high school kids ride in a black convertible this is a homage to Halloween 5 and the character of Mike who obsesses over his black convertible in that film both cars end up being vandalized. 20. Toward the last act of the film Allyson can be seen wearing an outfit similar to what Laurie wore in Halloween 1978
12:12 What Myers was doing is transferring his evil onto Corey; yes, infecting him. The flashbacks to Corey's memories were from his perspective, reliving the events in his life that first birthed evil in his heart through trauma. And, later, when Myers kills Doug, the stabs ARE, in fact, healing him. To be precise, as previously established in Kills's lynch mob scene, The Shape is fueled by and receives power from evil, which he creates through killing. At the start of Ends and even before in Kills, when his mask was removed, Myers was thoroughly deprived from evil, rendering him virtually powerless. Only after tasting blood for the first time in four years and returning to his real "face" during Kills's finale, respectively, was Myers able to regain his aptitude for killing and recuperate both his health and his strength. The novelization goes a ton more in-depth with the concepts of evil and Myers's supernatural empowerment.
The only way I can even remotely see this happening is if they decide to go full on Jason goes to hell which this movie already felt like it was tiptoeing into

As someone whose favorite franchise in horror is Halloween,I can tell you that I don't think it worked as the third film of the trilogy BUT it's also not a bad film. I think that had they set it up a bit in prior films, with us seeing Corey as maybe a background character or maybe having more Michael presence alongside Corey and had they NOT killed off Corey then the story of good being corrupted by evil and having to choose between giving in or fighting could have worked because Corey gave in but Alison didn't. It's a catch 22 because if you watch it without taking into account that it's a Halloween movie, similar to Halloween 3, it's a good movie but when you watch it knowing how It's the final piece of the Halloween 2018 trilogy it just doesn't work

This was something I picked up on too. Well technically Kills was supposed to release in 2020 and Ends in 2021 but didn't because of Covid. It is interesting to think about. I do wonder when we'll get the Halloween TV series though
This movie feels like the direct to video sequels you'd get at the video store and find out later that it was based on an unrelated script that was tweaked to fit an existing franchise. I appreciate it for that tbh
something interesting about Halloween Ends is that Laurie's house is actually the Myers house. because we learn at the beginning of Ends that Michaels home was demolished and if we look at the inside of Laurie's home, the layout looks very similar to to Myers house. and at the very end of the movie Laurie's backdoor is open when Michael comes in EXACTLY how Michael came in to kill Judith in 1963 and in Halloween Kills when he came in to kill Big john, Little John, and Karen! That's the best secret about Halloween Ends!

Michael: …That ought to do it.
lol, Jason X had some great lines
7:15 This was one of my biggest issues with this movie. Michael was captured in 1978 and was contained for 40 years and Laurie Strode never moved on. Her one single encounter with him changed the entire course of her life and she had a bad relationship with her daughter because of it. Michael then kills her daughter and hasn't been seen since and she somehow moves on within 4 years. Riiiight.
The statement that she moved on is played on in the film. We learn pretty quickly from Allyson that Laurie may be looking forward to a brighter lifestyle, but deep down she's still broken by the events.
As soon as she's aware something is suspicious about Corey, she's still the paranoid woman she was prior, just without the aresnal and oversized mouse trap of a house.
maybe the death of her daughter was the closure she needed.
That’s actually pretty believable. When that much trauma happens, your brain can chemically change itself to think a different way.
@@travisvanalst4698 So it's likely her brain literally reworked itself to try and keep herself stable
Lori suddenly being a normal person despite Michael killing her daughter and BEING ON THE LOOSE STILL truly baffles me

Yeah it would’ve been more interesting if they showed her TRYING to be normal while dealing with the trauma and paranoia caused by Michael.
@@a.t.9572 that's literally most of her moments in the film. She's trying to be normal to leave the man that ruined her whole life path, and everyone in the wake of the rampage tears her down.

Where at in the video?
Hearing "We put a love story in the middle of a horror movie" makes me think "Why do that with a pre existing series?"
What????? 😂😂
Killing her friends, she spends 40 years in trauma.

I like that James took the time to give Rohan Campbell his praise. There may have been flaws in how the executed his character and story (he should have been introduced earlier in the trilogy ) but Rohan gives an amazing performance. And he deserves the lines he gets at conventions 🧡

I don't get the idea that he should be introduced earlier. It's the MCU-ification of cinema.
@@SniperDiplomatbut that’s not a… mcu thing, that’s a movie series thing, when you know you are going to be telling a story across multiple movies you start plot points early and develop them because things coming out of nowhere in sequels lessens the impact the could’ve had otherwise

Not an original idea though

To be fair, that's what Carpenter noted about him. There's nothing to Michael beyond him just killing because that's kinda what he does. The '78 film even reflects this with how Michael is not really treated like a human but rather a creature, this unknowable entity.
how to express "i have watched halloween 1978 with my brains off " without saying sentence so , thats you Shank5ter
Well, , The romans did love wine with water

The idea of this movie was genius on the paper but they did it terribly especially by throwing Corey's entire conclusion away at the end
Part of the problem is: they make Michael out to be a huge threat, but during the actual movie, he's old or something, and needs Corey to be his little sidekick or some crap.
Witch doesn't make sense because the guy is basically immortal or something, so him suddenly getting old or some crap is pointless and dumb.

Well tbf despite cheesy theme of Halloween , the hyper-polarization of pop culture and hyper-tribalization in merica is so weird

The "baby who thinks people can't change" got me
I don’t know why but Corey’s character seems to relate to the Rob Zombie take on Michael Myers more than any other imo
It was definitely studio intervention, I would love to see a cut that fully commits to Corey becoming the new Shape until the end
"So the guy we spent the entire movie following doesn't even make it to the 3rd act?"
"Correct"
- Pitch Meeting
Yeah, it seems like the ideal plot would be Corey survives the film and Michael's blamed for all the killing so Corey gets away, but we see him take Michael's mask so Laurie's "evil changes shape" monologue actually has some relevance. They already take Michael's mask off for the final kill, it doesn't disrupt any part of the film if Corey just doesn't get up when Michael comes to take his mask back.

2. Curtis officially broke two records first one for being in most Halloween films eight (Halloween 78, H2, Season of the Witch she voice role, H20, Resurrection, and H40 timeline) previous record holders were Harris four and Pleasence five (H20 and Kills do not count since wasnt Pleasence) and second one playing same character in most Halloween films with seven while Donald Pleasence five, Danielle Harris two, Charles Cyphers three, Kyle Richards three, Nancy Stephens four, Nancy Kyes two, and Nick Castle three (H78, Halloween 2018 cameo as Michael, and Kills played Michael again)
4. Lowest kill count for Michael in any Halloween film
5. Laurie had a framed photo of her, Annie, and Lynda in her house that was a promo photo from original Halloween.
6. Second time Myers home was destroyed in Halloween franchise first time was Resurrection.
7. Halloween franchise record of 13 films most in horror franchise others with most sequels are Saw, Friday the 13th, Hellraiser, Children of the Corn, Child's Play, Texas Chainsaw, Scream, the Ring, the Grudge, Puppet Master, Conjuring, Romero Dead franchise, Return of the Living Dead, Insidious, Dracula, Frankenstein, Mummy, and Wolfman
8. Lyndsey is the only survivor to not have on screen time interaction with Michael and not be present for Michael burial.
9. All three of Allyson boyfriends were killed by Michael in H40 timeline
You can see footage of this being filmed a fan managed to catch this scene being filmed unfortunately this scene was cut and unknown why this wasn't included in blu ray/dvd features however photo of Laurie opening the door with angry cold expression to Allyson can be seen on back of blu ray/dvd
12. Halloween Ends novelization Michael is the one who killed Joan rather than Corey
13. Ends novelization Corey mother Joan has very dark past she was responsible for grisly accident that took life of her toddler brother she moved his chair and the poor child fell to his death all because Joan was feeling left out and unseen by her big family.
14. Halloween Ends novelization Michael has more kills
15. Novelization Michael evil spread to more people it's revealed by Laurie that after Michael arrest in 78 Michael infected his cell mate who ended up killing two orderlies and then took his own life
16. Terry Tramer who is the grandson of Ben Tramer are the people to not be murdered by Michael Myers in the franchise. Ben was crushed burned alive in Halloween 2 (Thorn timeline) and Terry was burned alive (H40 timeline)
17. Hawkins is only survivor of Halloween Kills who has no scenes with Corey despite telling Laurie that he knows him.
18. Ends is the last Halloween movie under blumhouse with the rights of the film series reverted back to Malek Akkad. Akkad himself was asked about future of franchise after Ends he half jokingly quoted his late father who always quoted series star Donald Pleasence when asked how many Halloween movies he was going to make he laughed and said "I'm going to stop at twenty two"
If Michael somehow comes back from being turned into ground beef, I might actually lose my mind.
The only way I can even remotely see this happening is if they decide to go full on Jason goes to hell which this movie already felt like it was tiptoeing into
He'll be brought back just with another remake
@@zombieslayer2016Honestly, it's much scarier if he were to come back without any explanation.
Super easy , just introduce thorn
The ONLY explanation is the michael in this movie wasnt michael from the first 2 movies which would explain why hes so weak but i think the triliogys over
This movie is like having jaws without a shark
Yeah. It’s complete shit…
Gotta agree with that lmao
Sounds like you want a Michael Myers movie and not a Halloween movie.
That's a poor comparison. Bruce has like 4 minutes of actual screentime in a 2 hour movie.
more like Jaws if he had dentures and couldnt find his dentures.
26:23 I always love those behind-the-scenes moments of James Jude Courtney being like the nicest dude.
Something I love when it happens is when a movie retroactively proves a kill in a previous movie wrong, and James just explodes in anger because of it
Nomination for funniest Dead Meat joke and editing has to go to the “Can he get small and jump into her palms?” bit. Absolutely hysterical
"Nomination" 🤓

Dude, you seem to flat out hate this channel, looking at all your comments on the channel. Go watch something else and stop being a total jerk.
@26:20 imagine hearing him in character talk for the first time and this is the voice that comes out while he's actively trying to kill you 🤣
Molly looks like she's sending signals for help😂
This movie plot should've been the first movie in the trilogy tbh.
First time I saw this movie, when they showed Sandra was still alive I went “Oh James is gonna be pissed!”
28:00 The Shape.
Kinda sad james didn't say anything about that. it's the original name for Micheal Myers.
If the recent Halloween trilogy has taught me anything it’s that neck stabbings aren’t as lethal as you’d expect them to be 😂
As someone whose favorite franchise in horror is Halloween,I can tell you that I don't think it worked as the third film of the trilogy BUT it's also not a bad film.
It's a catch 22 because if you watch it without taking into account that it's a Halloween movie, similar to Halloween 3, it's a good movie but when you watch it knowing how It's the final piece of the Halloween 2018 trilogy it just doesn't work
thank you for everything me and bestfriend i call a brother been watching you since 6th grade im 20 and he’s 21 now pls keep this going forever 🙏
11:24, please don’t compare these poor kids to Dirty Dom 😂😭
Kayfabe wise, Dirty Dom deserves a beating from Mikey MyMy
I compare dirty dom to James Ellsworth
The way James just walks away and "Michael" looks into the camera kinda looking scared and confused, lmao.
FUN FACT: The 40 Year Timeline trilogy films came out the same years as the original Halloween trilogy (sorta) Such as Halloween which came out in 1978 and its 40 Year counterpart Halloween (2018) came out in 2018 40 Years apart! Then Halloween 2 came out in 1981 and its 40 year counterpart Halloween Kills came out in 2021! THEN Halloween 3 Came out in 1982 and ITS 40 year counterpart Halloween Ends (This Film) came out in 2022 all this films came out 40 years apart!
Sorry for the long Comment just wanted to make sense!
P.s Great Video James!
I appreciate it for that tbh
something interesting about Halloween Ends is that Laurie's house is actually the Myers house. because we learn at the beginning of Ends that Michaels home was demolished and if we look at the inside of Laurie's home, the layout looks very similar to to Myers house.
and at the very end of the movie Laurie's backdoor is open when Michael comes in EXACTLY how Michael came in to kill Judith in 1963
and in Halloween Kills when he came in to kill Big john, Little John, and Karen! That's the best secret about Halloween Ends!
20:15 “Shut up, lady, before we call CPS” 😆😆
Happy midnight fellow aussies
11:30 here in SA 😁
Hi
If the Australian accent was a text font, what do you think it would be?

6am here.
i’ve been waiting for this kill count for 2 years i’m so happy
That joke at 9:58 was diabolical
@17:30 I was also hoping it was Micahel riding on the back of the bike too when I first watched in theaters
13:50 honestly spot on I saw H18 as Laurie’s movie, Kills as Karen’s movie, and Ends as Allyson’s movie
