I can't wait to see what they do with the final movie in this trilogy. The more I analyze it, the more I'm starting to see they're slowly closing it down by killing all the famous characters either from the old movies they brought back or the new ones we saw in the 2018 film.

17:54 I loved Lonnie in this scene, the reaction felt so genuine with the "what the fuck?"
I actually found John standing there frozen to be realistic. The freeze response is very real and you don't often see it in horror movies. When your brain decides that you can't fight and win and can't run and get away, sometimes it just freezes and shuts down and all you really can do is stand there. I think they could have shown it better but I do like having that response included. Also a lot of the ineptitude of fighting is pretty realistic too- its effing difficult to shoot or fight when you are that scared when you don't have any training.
I thought it was a reference to Mike Myers killing him like that in Austin Powers

I love the fact that the filmmakers went "Dude, you look like Loomis" and made it so.
I think it's fair to give credit to the guy who plays Tommy for doing his best with the dialogue he had. A great actor can make some bad lines work without sounding silly. Some dialogue is so bad though, it really doesn't matter how good the actor is there is no way to polish that turd. Plus respect to James for the line about the firefighters preparing to be 'Myrefighters'

Personally believe that losing his husband is what caused Little John to just stand there like maybe to him it was "What's the point of going on without Big John?"

“Fuckin look at him dude!” James seems very passionate about how stupid that scene is.
Has people in this generation even seen Michael? And has people from the previous generation seen him unmasked?
Honestly, my favorite part of the trilogy is that it shows how Michael Meyers has affected not only Laurie’s family, but also the entire town. Because in horror sequels, we don’t tend to see how these killers effect the entire community- including decades latter! This is why I love these films!
Also, as for the flash mob. It is stupid, but this is how real flash mobs works. If they think that he is guilty, they all go after him because of parinoya and fear. They are understandably worried about dying and don’t want to die. And because of their hysteria, they attack an innocent guy.
I was thoroughly sad and emotional when Tyvoli died. I wanted to cry because I know there's been real life people that have probably been outed as psychotic or something and they died. Especially knowing that some people are mentally disabled and don't understand their innocence. The irony of him dying at the hospital also makes it even worse for me. People that can thrive from being helped dying from trying to get help. Such a sad part of the movie for me. And Little John dying just pissed me off bro just stood there while Myers got to stabbin. Idiot.
That scene had me bawling in the theatre. Same when they showed Loomis in the flashback at the beginning.

I’ll be honest, as much as I love this movie and it’s still a Halloween movie so I still find it fun but it was completely pointless. No new characters survived, no real progress was made, and of course Michael Myers is still on the loose

Kind of different in that Michael actually won, and it didn't have a "did he actually die" ending.
I know all of the film's faults and perceived mistakes, and I understand why it's maligned, but for some reason I still enjoy the hell of it.
Kinda disagree. Some new characters did actually survive… or well, a reintroduced one. This and well, I do feel there were actually a lot of progress made in a way, while for the protagonists it basically got them into more vulnerable positions, this is Micheal’s win as the last film was the strodes win. The progress was Micheal showing he’s not to be messed with and has gotten more terrifying compared to 78
Exactly 💯
I prefer the deleted scene ending with karen’s phone ringing while the camera pans from her laying there to it, while Laurie is on the other end the phone answers and its just breathing. Her second of grief turning to rage “im coming for you michael” before leaving the hospital. Thats a much better ending to me than the staring out of the windows. I get what they try to convey but its just a lil weak considering they just killed karen.
For those wanting to hear Micheal talk go watch the scene where Karen takes his mask and when he turns around and faces her if you listen closely you can hear Michael say “Give it back”
Out of all the horror reboots in recent times this new Halloween timeline has done an amazing job with showcasing Michael Myers and his brutality!

I sincerely appreciate the practicality of the "fuck it enough pain meds can get me through this" scene. Lack of pain or not, you are still one rough bump in a hallway from being worse off than before. It is a nice offset from the typical "morphine turns me into superman and my wounds are healed"

What I love most about the drone couple is both are old enough to come from a time when their relationship would be frowned upon, and yet they rose a metaphorical middle finger to society's expectations
I love that they nailed how Micheal moves. Almost robotic, like an awkward kid. When he’s setting up his macabre little dioramas he holds his arms up to his chest like he’s really trying to make it look good instead of setting up something to cackle at maniacally.
The way Michael walks/moves is probably one of the few things they got right . I actually laughed at the beginning flashback as it was like he teleported . And that John Lumis/donald pleasance lookalike was really convincing aswell . But the movie overall was so disappointing that it hurts .

Honestly my only real complaint with this movie was, like you said at the start, Laurie was completely wasted. They did the biggest problem that the original Halloween 2 did - they stuffed her in a hospital bed the entire movie. Wasn't a good idea then, wasn't a good idea now.
Also, as a gay man, I loved Little John and Big John. I didn't find them offensive at all.
The alt ending where myer’s answers Laurie’s call and she hears him breath and tells him she’s coming him is way better than the regular breathing
You can thank Covid and the massive rewrites for Ends for that.
8:44 to 10:20 as a firefighter, this scene is so neat! I think this is the closest representation to what it actually looks like inside. You literally cannot see anything until it’s close. The kills are also so cool!

that shit was a lifetime drama movie not a haloween movie
Yeah it wasn't very good and so disappointing in my opinion
I dont know. Feels too supernatural to be in such a "realistic" movie. Feels like a lazy justification for why he can survive so much bullshit. That stab to the back of the neck is fatal, I dont care what anyone says
Chelsea said it best on their podcasts episode about this movie: it's like he's a video game boss with a regenerating health bar.
I appreciate that characters didn’t suddenly become Rambo just because Michael showed up. Flight, fight, freeze, or fawn. Sondra froze. Little John tried to fawn. You don’t get a choice in your natural response. It’s not about being “dumb”, it’s about instinctual reaction to terror.
I felt really bad for Sondra and her husband and the johns I didn't like that they died cause they tried to make Michael's childhood home a home for themselves and Sondra and Phil were just minding they're own business so much devastation
I agree! The movie is about characters failing to stop evil because they are overconfident and unprepared. I did find the Little John kill to be kinda dump tho.
@@jerrys1 I felt the firefighter kills in the beginning to be annoying too. I feel Michael wouldn't even care about killing them, but once they turned those devices into weapons that was it for him. I feel that was a bit unreal. Not that firefighters are going to be able to fight a supernatural monster like that, but if in reality they encountered some kind of killer, they would have a high chance of stopping them.
These firefighters are badasses and while they're not trained in hand-to-hand combat, they are extremely in good shape because they have to be to be able to pick up unconscious full-grown men and get them out of burning buildings.

The original Halloween 2 isn't canon, but the footage of Cyphers finding out about his daughter is canon, just not in Halloween 2 exactly since they probably didn't have a look alike to Cyphers in his younger years. So yeah.
"Kill the beast"... Gaston from Beauty & the Beast
It actually might! Apparently the radio tower will play a significant role in Ends and apparently it will "piss people off." The novelization of Kills even references the radio tower multiple times and also references the mask giving Michael some kind of power. I'm fully convinced Ends will pull a Season of the Witch and explain Michael's seemingly supernatural strength and resilience to the mask and the radio tower perhaps sending signals, much like the TVs in the original third film.
Wether you think this movie is good or bad. I’m sure many will agree it was absolutely incredible to see Loomis back. I remember seeing it for the first time and just getting goosebumps. And I’ll admit, I got a little emotional. I mean the original movie is what made me such a fan of the genre. And Dr. Loomis being my favorite character besides Michael and before the final girl. It was such a treat seeing him once more even with it being for a couple of scenes.
21:31 Jesus crist everyone is more crazier than Michael.

Even though the plot was all over the place, I still like the movie and I think that this is the most intimidating version of Myers we’ve ever seen. The dude is literally an unstoppable freak of nature here.

The scene when he went John Wick was utterly stupid
Man, those firefighters were just doing their job man, they didn’t deserve what happened to them
Micheal hate a mf on the clock 💀
You know Michael doesn’t kill children because he doesn’t think of them as a threat unlike teenagers and adults meaning though the firefighters didn’t deserve what they got Michael viewed the firefighters as a threat
@@calligraphyandgamingboy2041 Not true at all, Michael Myers is a psychopath, he doesn’t care who you are, what you believe in or how young you are, everyone is simply prey to him, the only time he wouldn’t kill is probably toddlers & little babies because they wouldn’t be much of a challenge for him
@@calligraphyandgamingboy2041 "Michael Myers doesn't kill children."
*I'm guessing you haven't seen Halloween 2018*
@@g-fanmax1838 I think he kinda confused Michael Myers for Jason Voorhees
Evil Dies Tonight sounds like something Danhausen would yell, only it'd be "Very Nice, Very Evil Dies Tonight!"
I think what makes this movie so good and rewatchable is that Michael is SOOO much more brutal than ever. Not just that, seeing how he affected more people than just Laurie is probably the best we've seen.
Vanessa’s death is unironically the funniest death I’ve ever seen in a horror movie. I laughed my ass off when I saw it
@@JollyFellownotreally Also why didnt she just go a bit to the right instead of going closer basicly having sight while being away
I SWEAR I thought it was a Scary Movie scene lmfao
@@JollyFellownotreally Yeah espacialy this one I mean close to end where Michael is being beaten up the already did the mistake to not double tap AND just attack one by one instead of all at the same time realy thought more of Thomy and his " Evil dies tonight" Stuff but just realy dissapointed also every Person having been able to shoot Michael always going close to him and you guessed it dies in the next scence exept Dr Loumis I Think the guy Dr or so sry dont realy know his Name correct lol.
I'm still so torn about this movie. On one hand, the stunts, choreography, gore, and the kills are all impressively done, some of the absolute BEST any Halloween film has to offer as of now. BUT, it's writing lets it down with some insanely dumb decisions and characters, not really giving Jamie Lee Curtis any room to shine at all, and middle movie syndrome at it's worst...
Even at it's worst moments this movie is still leagues better than some of the worst movies of this franchise. At least this movie is coherent in comparison to Curse of Michael Myers.
Hopefully Halloween ends doesn’t have bad writing
This trilogy is just making me wish Halloween was allowed to be an anthology series
@@rascoehunter3608 That's true. This movie is leagues better than the likes of Ressurection, Curse, Revenge, and Rob Zombie's two films
@@rascoehunter3608 Lol that's no defense. The bar for this franchise is really fucking low.
Obviously, it's better than Returns and Curse. That goes without saying. That doesn't make it a good or well-written film.
So glad I found this channel. I'm a major slasher film fan and really enjoy your production. Awesome work!
Love the new kill comparisons so nice seeing all the kills in every movie. So nice to have James back. Almost caught by up rewatching every episode for the 2nd-3rd time never gets old
James in June: I'm gonna put this person on the kill list
James watching the new one, October 14: God dammit! Another one survived!?
we all knew it the moment we watched the new one 😂
How Sondra survives this is beyond me.
The final to this new trilogy is such a letdown, if it wasn’t for the atmosphere of the cinema and the fans there it would have almost been pointless. If this truly is the ending. It’s effortless and extremely disappointing
yeah halloween ends is fucking garbage lmao, michael is barely even in it and corey sucks. major disappointment and a complete let down
@@ChillChrill yeah I know that’s why I only like 2018 and Kills in this new saga and consider Kills the end to this
I laughed in Ends when I found out Sondra survived, only because I knew James will have to do another Kill Count retraction if he covers Ends.
@@Rougarou99 it’s almost not worth covering. It was so laughably bad. I feel like fans deserve an explanation as to why they chose the direction they did. Also, Introducing a new character in the finale of a trilogy is absolutely foolish
12:29 Sondra actually survived this She’s in Halloween ends
He knows but didn't at the time he made this video.
Thank you dude I commented on that actually.
You don't know how happy it makes me to see James back in the saddle. All is now right in the world. The new set is perfect.
The first 2 times I heard “Evil dies tonight!” I was happy that people were finally going to rise up to him. I got over it halfway through the movie and even laughed when they let Michael kick their ass when they had him dead to rights. Moral of the story, there’s yellers and then there’s doers(Michael Myers).
Michael has too much plot armor you can throw a grenade and he would survive
Is not really that they are yellers, is just that Michael is invincible. Don't know if they'll keep the curse plot of "until all family members are dead, he can't die"
They should kick Michael Myers ASS
Dude had a loaded double barrel shotgun to his head and they didn't pull the damn trigger. I can't tell you how irritated that made me.
@@lilmoney2353and then he lose it entirely in the next movie
MAKE A HALLOWEEN ENDS KILL COUNT
Actually, Michael in the closet found by Cameron is a reversal from 2018, when Laurie thought Michael was in her closet but wasn't
I have literally been waiting for this Kill Count for quite a long time… I immediately clicked on it. As always, fantastic job. Loved Zorn’s cameo.
I literally started laughing as he was “ attacking “ James then said “ aw you can see my pants.”
I've been waiting for this Kill Count ever since I saw the movie in the theatre.
same
IVE BEEM WAITING EVER SINCE IT CAME OUT LMAO

Yeah my friends and I thought the plot and progression were stupid but we didn’t go to the movie for that. We went for Michael Myers butchering an entire town and we weren’t disappointed lol. Loved the kills
So you missed the point of the first one and watched a bad sequel because of that.
Maybe horror movie fans really only watch stupid movies, like some people claim
@@balabanasireti Halloween 2018 or kills is a dumb movie watch your mouth
@@balabanasireti bro does it matter? I did watch the first one and I said the plot was stupid. I’m not an idiot. Did I say it was a good movie, no. My friends and I just went for the kills. Besides this was when it first came out how were we supposed to know it wasn’t as good as the first
@@balabanasireti This comment screams: "Lmao you stupid and horror fans too and I'm so smart"
Sondra actually survived the neck stab with the light bulb. I was stunned to see it, but she’s in Halloween Ends
Halloween Kills is still 10000000% better than Halloween Ends.
What parts are bad
@@medlyman6513 The entirety of the movie.
@@Switch72nd Halloween ends has one of the best Michael Myers despite him barely showing up because the way he traumatized the community made everyone think he’s the literal boogeyman with superpowers including the audience when in reality he’s just a man with some visible arthritis who stirred evil
Also he does not literally have superhealing in Halloween ends he just feels alive while killing
Can we take a moment to appreciate that in the flashback scene, we finally get to see Michael use the rope that was stolen from the hardware store in the original, to strangle the cop. Sheriff Brackett tells Annie that all that was stolen was some knives, rope, and a halloween mask. As far as I'm aware, he doesn't use the rope once in the original 1978 film. Aside from his stabbings, he only uses his hands to strangle Annie and Lynda. So getting to see him use that rope is something so small and quick, but creates an even stronger tie in to the original film.
So I guess that one guy hanging in the closet doesn’t count as a use for the rope?
Did he not use the rope on Bob when he is swinging from the closest
@@s.nifrum4580 my thoughts also

Halloween ends (2022) Kill Count
Cameron's death was definitely my "golden chainsaw". It just goes on and on and once he's just a drooling mess you can sort of tell he's probably brain dead or very close to it to then just get finished off so brutally.
18:05 when James said they’re putting her in storage for the next movie had me dying lol
When are you gonna kill count Halloween ends 🎃
