    enjoyed your review of transition.
I subscribed and will follow, hopefully you will have some more videos on this device.
I am still in the" thinking about it" stage.
the 1-2cm gap you had is incredible to be so consistent.
glad you did this outdoors on a real driving range and not inside on a simulator.
as you know hitting off artificial green and real dirt can be very different.
    thanks
    John

I have this and love it. Ran into an issue though and it's driving me and my son nuts. I have no problems getting the Dewiz to pick up swing data for Transition and Temp. It worked for my 13 year old son the first day but last night at the range it picked up 0 of his swings. We waited for the green light and he would swing and it would just say "Waiting for Swing". I put on the Dewiz and it recorded all my shots so I know the unit is not faulty. He only gets it to work when he does pitch shots. We both wear the watch fairly tight on the left hand and have input our measurements in the app as well as created individual profiles that we change when we take swings. Have you ever ran into issues with it not picking up your swings?

How tall is he? If its used to seeing you and your height or wrist to floor measurements then if he grab it to use it wouldn't pick it up unless you changed the profile in the app

I think this could be a great product but I have one question. Is this device assuming your takeaway is on a good plane or is there a way it knows your takeaway is good / bad? The only negative scenario I can see is you have a bad takeaway but you correct it in the transition, but this device tells you that you're off plane.

They aren’t answering questions. It’s kind of frustrating

No assumptions on your takeaway plane, if you look at your backswing plane that varies from swing to swing most likely, so no “stock” takeaway. It is all based on YOUR takeaway.

Anna's takeaway is super inside so unless she corrects that, her transition numbers will likely always be highly positive. Ideally you could set an ideal plane for each club so the device can help you address both the takeaway and transition

The plane it measures isn't the back swing per se because it cannot "see" the club and shaft plane in which you are thinking about it. It's the plane of the hands. But a positive plane would be over the top of whatever you hand plane going back was, meaning over the top is over the top regardless of where you backswing ends up stopping.

I have the Dewiz and there are a lot of measurements - backswing plane is one of them. This particular video is using Discovery Mode , which captures all the data. He is looking at the which is a derived value comparing the backswing plane to the downswing plane.
One must remember that everyone is different, some are better when coming over the top a little - Craig Stadler a Masters winner would have had a positive number in his transition.
The Dewiz is a measurement tool - it provides spacial data that you can correlate to your swing and ball flight. This is very helpful when trying new things or when your coach recommends that you change something in your swing, you now have a way to measure those changes.
They now have an amazing tool that allows you to compare your swings to several pros. Would be great if they had more pros to compare to, because everyone is different and has a different way to get it done.
