Wow!!! I have been trying to do this transition sequence starting the downs swing weight shift before the backswing is complete for months! Steve is the only one that says to start it with the left knee. It is very hard but I can actually do it. I know I am gong to have to train the heck out of it to get the timing and flow correct! When I do get it right the ball most certainly goes further with all my clubs! Thank you Steve!!!

For me, I achieve the same result by simply starting and staying on my lead foot (about 85%) throughout the swing. It works like magic.

great enthusiasm steve this is the hardest thing for me correct transitions always been a struggle but love this video key for me is turning the lower body but not letting my left shoulder turn too early as well. when it works its great and yes much more powerful

Brilliant here. I have been working this season to do just this. Timely and informative. Makes striking the golf ball easier with better launch and more accuracy as well. Thanks Steve!

That is what I do before every swing!!! It helps me get the right movement and if done correctly adds effortless yards to your clubs.

This re-centering move is the key to good ball striking as no doubt it allows you to get the low point of the swing in front of the ball. Well done Steve and nicely explained

I agree with what you are saying about left knee and left hip, but when you couple these Two with the straightening of the Left leg, “oh my”. Requires messing around with to creat the Right Feel. Good work up yonder.

I like the idea of separating the knees on the downswing
… should help me STAY DOWN, as I (like most amateurs) suffer from early extension.

Steve, You refer to Padraig Harrington in your explanation of separating the knees in the downswing and the use of a beachball. In his excellent video entitled 'How to clear your hips/pelvis in the golf swing', Paddy teaches something totally different. Yes, you get height in the right hip on the backswing (hip tilt) - yes, you bump it to the left - but then drive your right glute under your left glute and squeeze them together before your lead hip explodes up and behind you. To me, separating the knees in the way you suggest is unhelpful and a recipe for coming over the top. I believe George Gankas expounds something similar. I respect your entertaining channel and would value your comment.

Love your videos - really Goode move. Would love to see it with a driver - can never quite get the transition timing right with the big stick - seem to do somewhat reverse sequencing.

Steve - Love your videos but the beach ball thing is a no-go. Great for some, but at 67 years of age it's a bit of a stretch.
