    For anyone interested, the DeWiz is currently on sale for only £359, which is a HUGE drop from the usual price: bit.ly/3LA5nDA

    Thankfully Hackmotion measures tempo too. I use slow mo video mode on my phone to analyze my swing... Garmin launch monitor tells me I swing in to out. mobile video is not ideal compared to deWiz (it doesn't do 3D or two angles at once of course) but it helps me well enough. 1 second flat to 32 hundreds ratio, tempo is luckily one of the few things I need not to worry about in my golf.

      I quite like the look of that Hackmotion device so may look into getting one to test out in the future. Mobile video is useful if you get the angles correct and know exactly what you're looking for in terms of issues, hence I usually send to a coach for assessment.
      Which Garmin monitor do you use out of curiosity? R10?

      Thanks very much, Mike. Looking to create some more videos like this for the DeWiz over the coming weeks. Fantastic piece of kit!

    Great explanation Andy. I’ve got one of these but haven’t tried the transition mode yet. I’ll get on to that once I’ve worked on my swing plane some more. I’d be interested to see you using that section along with some on course results with the stimuli.👍

      Cheers Russell, and sorry for the delay in replying! The DeWiz is a great piece of kit and I’m still looking into many of the modes myself at this moment in time. Will defo look into the on-course mode and I’m looking to film a video soon with the learning stimuli. 👍👍

    I have been able to "fix" my tempo, but at the price of a huge decrease in distance. Could you recommend a method of practice looking at multiple data parameters per shot, and the order of which one to get, perhaps just a little bit better, at that would actually improve the overall swing. As an example (only) improve tempo, then transition and then get the best tempo with transition and check overall performance then add backswing and so forth.

      I think this could be caused by perhaps the downswing speed. It’s impotent to keep that hand speed up on the downswing but with tempo changes, I feel it’s quite easy to become a little too relaxed both in the backswing and downswing. Keeping the downswing speed up but in tempo should help.

    Really interesting. I have the Dewiz and have found my tempo is too fast. I know if I do slow down the backswing I invariably make much better contact with the ball. This is something I am going to work on.

      Yeah, it's a wonderful piece of equipment. I'm looking to start using it much more over the next few months for other areas of my swing but the tempo changes are definitely helpful, as you say. I think the data is also so valuable because there are times that I feel like I'm swinging at a better tempo, but then deWiz tells me that I'm actually not. Without the product, I'd just assume it was a better tempo.
      If you're interested in how I used the on-course mode recently, check out this video here. It showcases another great mode (although you may have already used it): ruclips.net/video/6GumFoSrDds/видео.html
      Also curious to know which other modes you've been using and if you've seen any benefits from those too?

      @@AndysGolfBlog I have been using the backswing plane in conjunction with my pro. I found that I was very flat with all the clubs except wedges. I have been aiming to be in the high 60-degree area minimum with 70 degrees as a target.

      Very interesting. A good example of using data to actually help make informed decisions about improving your swing. I watched their tutorial on transition transition yesterday and found it really useful - so I’m going to give those steps a go!

    Had a lesson recently and the coach told me I have a really short backswing. I noticed the Dewiz has a feature to help you increase the length of your backswing...do you know whether this is effective?

    • @AndysGolfBlog
      @AndysGolfBlog  6 месяцев назад

      Yes, absolutely. It’s honestly a phenomenal device and perfect for not only measuring your backswing but also allowing you to using the learning stimulus to keep working towards a specific swing length. There are also fun backswing games you can practise with and what I like about it more than anything is you can use it without a ball, with a ball on the range and out on the course.

    No way your swing is same without hitting a ball.

    • @AndysGolfBlog
      @AndysGolfBlog  4 месяца назад

      Yeah, do agree with this but I'm still convinced that I'd be able to improve my tempo whilst hitting balls, especially after working on the rhythm in the garden with the deWiz. It can also be used on the range or out on the course whilst playing.

      $539 with my code. The thing is, people spend $500 on a new driver without batting an eyelid. I’d much rather spend that money on a device that I can use as often as I like to actually get some valuable information about my golf swing. Granted, it’s not cheap, but that’s nothing new in the world of golf! Crackin’ piece of kit, though!

      Yeah, their prices vary from month to month. They someone’s drop the price considerably, so it just depends when you buy, I guess!
