    Just changed the oil on mine thanx to this video. Had no idea it is the canister style oil filter, thought it was the cartridge. Thank you. SUPER easy

  • @BluSky1

    This is common issue with Toyota oil filter, You need to crack open the oil fill cap before draining the oil or the back pressure caused by draining the oil makes removing the filter near impossible.

  • @qaibej1966
    @qaibej1966 Год назад +6

    Incase you bought warranty, whatever you dont use gets paid back to you after your loan policy.
    Edit: i use 0w-20 Pennzoil full synthetic platinum.

    • @djcan9503
      @djcan9503 Год назад +8

      Why use the 0W-20? The engine oil cover says 0W-16.

    • @wturner777

      @@djcan9503That's true. We don't go against what these engines call for.

      You guys must wanna blow the motor 😂😂 and 0w-8 is even worst hahaha. I think it can tolerate atleast 5w-30 especially in this summer heat 🥵 when 5w-30 was recommended for all season all weather for best mileage and ease of start up and pump the oil up to the top in the 90s

    • @rstuff1605
      @rstuff1605 5 месяцев назад

      But 0w-8 has a purpose because I like seeing it at the shelves and maybe good to flush the engine but some have used diesel too.. check out a video 😂 USUALLY not necessary depending on what oil driving style and ug you give it an italian tune up. Take it with a grain of salt and use your noggin /brain , common sense

It's for a Honda filter but it fit perfect on the toyota filter like a glove. Made of steal built to last forever. You will never again have a hard time with your filter . In Sweden, you pay for the oil change at service about 500 USD or 800 USD. if you change the oil yourself and skip the service, you lose the factory warranty. and last service they pull 5W30 oil in my car and claim it's ok. LOL-

    • @Wqghfxz

      Considering Sweden is a cold country, thin oil is better

  • @Szarko32c
    @Szarko32c 2 месяца назад

    Wasn't the easiest change in the world, but good job. OMy Opel has much easier access to drain plug - it's T40 and the oil filter is in the plastic case, but the access is from the engine bay, not under the car.

  • @Wqghfxz

    I live in Turkey who also has a 2019 Corolla hybrid. Toyota here basically doesn't have 0w16, instead they basically use 0w20 and the website says so too. My car is out of warranty, this time I'm going to change oil myself as it is much cheaper. Also Shell 0w20 over here is way cheaper than Mobile 1 for some reason. My question is, would my car be happy and thankful for that shell as much as Mobile 1 ?

    The car might leak oil when it is running start it before you put the covers back on. The first oil change at 10000 is too long if you do oil analysis there are particles in the oil that the filter does not remove.
