    Hey Freddie. A little off topic but my golf partner drives the golf cart like he's competeing on the rally circuit. Bounced my bag off the cart and broke my driver shaft. I ordered several used shafts to try and replace it with the best one. A L.A. trono was one of them. X flex, maybe 3/4 inch shorter. I think Bryson was using this model at one time. It was quite light and unbelievably stiff. A center struck ball would fly straight and all of about 210 yards. Spin so low it would just drop out of the sky. It would show visible results by swinging at the absolute edge of my swing speed. I kept it but don't game it. I think it might be used as a speed training tool. You can't lazee around and let your swing speed drop under 110 and think it will go anywhere. Hurts your hands though. No wonder Bryson uses those pillow sized grips.
    Might I suggest you come up with an end line for your vids. At the present, it's a little bit like ending a phone call without saying goodbye. Maybe, "I'll be back," or "Let's get to the choppa!" Better yet, you come up with your own. (If you don't sub, I'm not sending you a birthday present) or (if we don't swing together, we will all swing seperately) Really, dont use any of my suggestions.

      Hiya Thomas,
      That sounds about right with the LA Trono, it's a "hard" shaft and wants to be abused a little ....Pillow sized grips hahaha ....I do actually have one with one of those grips on, ready for a video hehe
      There is a little strategy in the endings of the videos being like hanging up a phone call however :) ...If I waffle at the end people are more likely to click off the video and watch another, so RUclips thinks people don't want to watch all of my videos... this influences the algorithm and watch time percentage :)
      Although you are right - the strategy works for individual videos and I'm getting more of a community that watch multiple videos, so it makes sense to add a little more sauce now! "If you don't sub, I'm not sending you a Birthday present" rings well!

    Question regarding the “two degrees flatter” because you tend to flick the ball left. The more upright an iron, the more a hook/draw bias?

      Ooh they've not been on my radar!! Just looked in to them and they seem to have a very similar profile/idea to the Axiom Velocore ....I'll see if I can get my hands on them through suppliers 🤔 if they're cheaper, they could well be better value

    I swing the same speed as you but play 1" long. Would you think 105s would be fine or would the 105x be better. Im suprised you didnt use the 105x.

      @FredzGolf  2 месяца назад +1

      😋 glad you've found all the Axiom videos I have 😆 I just have the 105S in demo and the 125X - the 125X is pretty brutal and leaves no room for holding back
      105S by the time it's 1" longer will have a looooooot more play than your 130 $Tapers - I think the 105X would be just the ticket and tick all of the points you've made 😋

    You guys admit that the PXG has massive adjustability, so how does that not trump every other hybrid in the market? Not to mention you have your pick of shafts. I don't see how off-the-rack can beat that.

    • @FredzGolf
      @FredzGolf  2 месяца назад

      PXG has decent adjustability, yes. There aren't many markets (cars, phones, golf clubs) where 1 brand dominates; people have opinions, availability to test/try and preferences to looks or feel.
      What hybrids do you mean? non in the Axiom/LA Shaft video
      Custom shafts tailored to a golfers flight and swing dynamics will always beat off the rack ...even picking the best stock shaft with no upcharge will beat off the rack 75% of the time [in my opinion] and worth the time to test/get fitted

    • @FredzGolf
      @FredzGolf  3 месяца назад +1

      I'd say they play a lot siffer than the equivalent steel shaft ...I'd rather have these in a 105 Stiff over 120X steel and I hit the ball too high most of the time with a stock golf club!

    If you tip the LA shaft to length. Does it not make the club stiffer?

    • @FredzGolf
      @FredzGolf  Месяц назад +1

      Yes, it does ....progressive tipping (as per tipping instructions) allows the shafts to get progressively easier from Wedges upwards so you get stability with lofted clubs and long irons still able to get airborne
      You can soft step where you tip less if you need the shaft to have a bit more play ...I wouldn't do that too much, though, as you may as well get a different shaft

      @genescott3989 Месяц назад +1

      Looking for higher ball flight. Purchased Aseries-high-65i-3. What are your thoughts on tipping 1/4 longer to LA's spects. Think that will give me the height I'm looking for. Got fitted for them with a 7 iron. Height was good would like a hair more.

    • @FredzGolf
      @FredzGolf  Месяц назад +1

      @genescott3989 I'd go 0.5" less tipping than recommended if you haven't tipped already ...
      Tip trim:
      PW 2.75"
      9i 2.5"
      8i 2.0"
      7i 1.5"
      6i 1.0"
      5i 0.5"
      4i no tipping
      Fit them in from there and then do final lengths - I prefer to glue the heads on at this stage then cut to length once they're set (especially if the heads are used)

    • @FredzGolf
      @FredzGolf  2 месяца назад

      Didn't quite feel heavier to me ...The LA Golf shaft felt "harder" but the Axiom felt "smoother" which could mitigate anything feeling heavier

      I got (1) axiom shaft 105 to text. It was so much heavier than the dynamic gold I normally play. I’m curious what the actual weight is? I wonder if the 75 axiom has same feel but weighs closer to dynamic gold?
