I believe the scaling interpreted is based off of the amp from landing a black flash, but remember each hit brings down Sukuna's curse energy output and control of Megumi's soul. So I thought it was implying the scale has changed as Yuji goes up directly as Sukuna goes down. Wild chapter. Sukuna's had it now I'm curious how he responds out of rage.
THAT is what Sukuna meant when he said "Oh yeah, he's from back then" and "Kenjaku does the grossest things" Kinda odd though since twins are treated as one entity by Jujutsu, but then again maybe their souls are just intertwined not the same.

It's interesting how Yuji isn't just getting this power up from thin air. He couldn't use piercing blood on his own and his cleave output was very low but after this amount of black flash, his output will skyrocket, and his blood manipulation would finally be god tier. Sukuna might have to pull out the merger because going all out would not cut it atp.
I think the narrator probably means he surpasses Sukuna in the number of black flashes or something because Sukuna is still looking way stronger even with this weakened form. He's only fighting with one hand and his output is in the dust he still tanks those black flash like they are regular strong punches

Hopefully, the other heavy hitters will catch up. Yuji and Sukuna will most likely grow stronger, and stronger the longer the fight lasts. It would be a shame if Yuta didn't even get to go all out with Rika, along with showing us his monstrous potential growth. Along with us getting Maki either surpass Toji’s heavenly restriction or at least gain some new abilities to help her catch up.

I think they mean Yuji surpassed Sukuna in number of black flashes, not strength, and it makes sense since Kenjaku wanted to make something stronger than himself, so he used someone related to the only person stronger than him, Sukuna

Also, does that mean Yuji actually inherited the shrine technique from his father instead of him getting it from Sukuna being inside of him.
I think Gojo was right and he did get it from Sukuna but as said in the chapter it's a different representation of the technique since, it's like how Sukuna's Ten Shadows look so much different from Megumi's Ten Shadows.

I have no idea how strong the current Sukuna is. Even before taking 8 black flashes from yuji, his output was low enough that even Larue could survive a black flash from Sukuna. From what we've seen so far, I have current Sukuna as the 3rd strongest living character, behind Yuta and Yuji.
Even 8 flashes, 3 normal Yuji hits, 1 arm, and 1 Heart ago, Sukuna would have lost to Yuta if not for Spacial Slash. I don't think Sukuna has the output anymore to kill Yuta without it, even with a max output Cleave straight to the head.
This can, and probably will, change as Sukuna starts revealing more.
Imagine Sukuma runs away feeds his fingers into dead gojo and takes over his powers that would crush yuji fan's so much that they would go to geges house
Yo, this may be nothing but I thought it's interesting that sukuna pointed out that yuji's application of cleave was different. The death paintings all had BM but different applications perhaps yuji develops a variant of sukuna's CT and not a direct copy due to their differences in soul, character and ideals basically. Knives were used to explain sukuna's CT but we saw scissors when yuji used it and I thought that was interesting. Again this may be nothing and I may be reading to much into it but I can't get it off my mind.

What if Sukuna is the result of a loophole within the rules surrounding twins in Jujutsu?
When Mai died, she took all the cursed energy with her. What that means is that both of them got the full benefit when the connection between their souls was broken, Mai was just too dead to use it.
By functionally having both bodies, Sukuna was able to get everything from both of them without having to split it with another soul.
If one of them had a heavenly restriction, such as maki's, Sukuna would gain the enhanced body while keeping the cursed energy from the other. Or perhaps his twin had an absurd amount of CE in exchange for no technique, and Sukuna got the CE while keeping his own technique.
