  • First, Sorry if any adverts appear, I can assure you all that I'm not receiving a penny for them. A content provider needs over 1000 subscribers and 4000 views. One of the downsides of FB.
This form is the rarely shown bench form and performed at a speed for other students to follow and correct their own movements. There are also a few deliberately slow movements in the form which I hope come out ok. Weapons in this Wing Chun system are mostly to enhance the empty hand form. Think of it as having a distraction in your hand which attempts to take away your focus. Yes, if you follow the form, you'll be able to use a bench effectively but as with most weapons, it takes quite a bit of practice before you're proficient. And to really make it work requires practice with other people in as much of a real situation as possible.

Thank you for sharing this rare secret art of Yip Kin Wing Chun. You have done it for preserving a precious art that may be lost if you do not intervene. Good luck and best wishes to you. I wish I have the time and opportunity to learn and study Yip Kin Wong Chun. I only managed to drop in and meet the GM Yip Fook Choi a few times and he has been most kind and generous to me. All the best to his senior students.

For history, you could search for Yik Kam, The Cho family Wing Chun and Red boat Wing Chun. Enjoy. Our history indicates Yip Kin (Malaysian Wing Chun) studied under Yik Kam.

This isn't wing chun. You're not following the 4 principles of the art itself.
