  • First, Sorry if any adverts appear, I can assure you all that I'm not receiving a penny for them. A content provider needs over 1000 subscribers and 4000 views. One of the downsides of FB.
    This video is from the archives when I was still learning Chee Sow (Sticking Hands). It is a complex set of interwoven techniques which is core to the Yip Kin system. This is the first time it has been shown in full. You'll notice Sifu Yip Fook Choi's lesser body movement compared with mine. And to mention that this was filmed after his car accident, so his leg movements were painful and more rigid than they otherwise would have been. His arms were like iron from his wooden dummy work which led to skin discolouration later in his life. There are two fundamental approaches to this form: Learning (as shown here) and Using. The later incorporates 'intention' - the determination to strike your partner, therefore ensuring the blocks (and strikes) are effective. Given that there are eye and groin attacks, this should only be practised after considerable Learning has taken place.

    Doesn’t matter. These guys will get ko by a boxer or mma fighter in less than half a minute

      You would be very disappointed as this will not be happened since they will not step in the ring and those Boxers and MMA fighters will not fight with seniors as well as they know what is respect.

      Hmm. And most boxers and MMA fighters would get killed by a bear, or a sniper. I don't think the elderly men are suggesting they should use 'sticky-hand' exercises to defeat professional gladiators.

      @malaysianwingchun6279  Год назад +2

      The video demonstrates the sticking hands exercise. It is most certainly not an attempt at freestyle boxing. This is taught and practice at a later stage when the techniques are mind-muscle reflexive. MMA and particularly boxing are excellent martial arts. If other martial artists fight withing the confines of their rules, they would find it difficult to win.

    Originally Wing Chun wasn't like this. Most practitioners are doing Wing Chun techniques wrongly. It's actually easy to observe that their techniques are distorted.

      You have the absolute wrong handle on this platform to make such a narrow limited comment on a system that you probably are only familiar with one lineage, Ip Man WC, so if this is the case, change your handle, or do more research before ever commenting such a limited view of the entirety of WC and its origins.

      Yeah, I just watched your uploads, you have no structure! You make tons of false claims to attract attention! I would confidently put one of my 3 month students against one of your senior students! You need to find reality before talking any further!

    • @smartresearchwingchun494
      @smartresearchwingchun494 Год назад

      @Jay Powell and your students probably can't do anything to us. We had tested our stuff with other Wing Chun practitioners. It's sort of verified that our findings are valid.

    • @smartresearchwingchun494
      @smartresearchwingchun494 Год назад

      @Jay Powell I watched a bit of other videos of yours. You guys are Wing Chun wrongly and unscientifically like other Wing Chun guys. You haven't noticed your arms and legs are deformed? If an untrained person hits you randomly like a boxer, do you think you can block him? Do you think that your punch can hurt him adequately? How many years have you wasted.
