Oh absolutely the interviews are fantastic, John Rhys-Davies made me laugh so hard talking about that vigorous attractive and virile Gimli. Doing ninja things wouldn't feel the same without them.
Two Towers also started the tradition of using the OG actors to voice their game counterparts - years later, this has honestly held up as one of the best decisions from these games 🤩🤩🤩 The sound of these games is just a legendary tub of nostalgia
You can tell Cyan is a big Lotr fan by the quality of the montage : the voice acting, the interviews, the jokes.... the age of not being subscribed is over !
Yeah I lost so many times on that level. There's these hidden random archers shooting the door doing constant damage that I didn't realize were there for the longest time. You can't see them unless you go up the stairs behind you and only then can you see them in the background to shoot. Lost some sanity to that so I feel ya there haha

Almost everyone talks just about the Return of the King game, but I prefer this one despite it having less content and no multiplayer - it just feels way more polished and punchy. RotK game is great too, but it felt more janky and lacking finishing touches.
Yeah they both rock, Return of the King will always have a special place in my heart since I played it so much back in the day. Until of course the fateful day my dog cast the Gamecube disc into his mouth to destroy it.
I concur, I have both games but prefer the Two Towers because the enemies also felt better. I just wish in either game that they had Boromir as a special character.
First played this game when i was like 13 years old with my best friend Jeff. As we grew up, both of us got into heroin addiction really bad. I celebrate 7 years clean on the 4th of December 2024. Jeff died of a heroin overdose 2 months ago. We used to spend hours at a time re-creating the scene from the movie where legolas and gimli try to out do each other. Miss you Jefro. Fly high homie ❤
Bro your VA during the video killed me🤣 The moment you said "he fell" as Gimli made me and my brother laugh so much since me and him know these voice lines by heart. We played this for hours when we were young and seeing someone playing this for the first time and enjoying it like we did brings tears to my eyes. Instantly subscribed and liked👍 Keep it up✊
Agreed. Played that 20 years ago as a teenager. Still think back often to that. It was some of the most fun co-op with friends ever. Next to 007 and halo it got some of the most play.
Replayed it recently for the first time in 20 years, I can’t believe how difficult it was, I never remembered it being as tough to navigate! Just shows you how easy games have become in recent times.
I remember seeing those cutscene transitions from the movie to the game back in the day and thinking "you can't even tell the difference" 😂 game is amazing
I love the Two Towers and Return of the King, but there was a lot more I liked about the Two Towers Two Towers 1. Enemy units were a little more tough to deal with, their shields didn't break after one fierce attack, if you kept blocking their attacks, kinda like how you can do a bane move, they also could do a move that broke through your parry and knock you down, Bane moves didn't give perfect mode instantly, the Troll bosses were tough ones and the epic bosses like Watcher in the Water, Cave Troll Balins Tomb, Lurtz and Sharku were very well thought out and an enjoying challenge, mostly because they became unaffected by Arrows after a certain point. 2. The Good soldiers were a little too weak to say the least, like I know it's about your character making it through the level, but you just notice how the good soldiers just get the living shit beat out of them (except for that Golden Soldier who was immortal) 3. The Environmental Hazards didn't do much to help, it was bombs that you didn't want to be near when you blew it up, Uruk Crossbows, threw fire bombs at you, catapults and archer fire at Helms Deep and fires that you doused with a nearby water barrels. 4. The only really helpful item was that stone you used to level up a little faster. 5. Dont forget to do it all over again and get Legolas and Gimli to level 10 to do the Palantir of Saruman and then unlock Isildur for the game. Return of the King 1. Good soldiers are a lot tougher which is nice, but it never feels like they are in the way or make the level easier 2. Level designs are a lot bigger and longer than the Two Towers, plus with all the insane hazard designs and puzzle pieces it was insane, fun and blew my mind even to this day. 3. Enemy units are a bit to easy to predict sometimes and you can always block their attack, they can't brake your defense. Bane moves give instant perfect mode which everyone abused to get prefect scores and instantly buy all the upgrades. Enemy shield warriors lost their shield after 1 fierce attack. Enemy mini bosses were nice to fight, they held higher armor so you had to use more than one fierce attack to take out their armor. Troll bosses were made tougher and bigger. 3. Bosses are still a lot of fun to fight, and with the exception of the Witch King, I though it was cheap that some bosses were affected by arrows. 4. They gave way to much help with environmental hazards, especially with those Spears, yea those spears that can 1 hit KO Trolls, 2 hit KO enemy mini bosses 5. Those goddamn fellowship bonuses, when you upgrade that and it unlocks for every character, so that way in game when they hit that level they can use the ability already. So most players would take Gandalfs missions first since he was already level 3 from Helms Deep and just buy the most of the fellowship upgrades with him.
Your humour is impeccable, sir, and I laughed so hard so many times! Love to see the soundtrack of The Hobbit 2003 getting some appreciation. Brings back fond memories.
