5.08 that scale change kills me .. the whole song is clapton signature: emotions, harmonies, charisma, fuilidity .. best in blues. jimi hendrix is like wow !! but can t make a blues like this : proper, elegant, clean, harmonious... too noizy hendrix. once in a while it s ok..clapton.,.everyday since 30 years .. perfection !!!! give the man the credit he deserves. he s the best of all times..for anyone who knows what the blues is all about ....
too noisy Hendrix....back the bus up guy...no comparison...Clapton best in class...Hendrix...BEST OVERALL...no comparison....YES I love Eric for his style...but DO NOT compare to JIMI
Eric Clapton builds his solo's the way Michelangelo painted his masterpeices, in their own ways they have much in common. All his solo's are great, some transcend greatness and become pure magic! And he lets us share in his brilliance. I feel so lucky to be able to hear this musician's musician! God bless Eric Clapton!! The Brits should declare him a national treasure!!!
You are so spot on man! Not taking away from Jimi, but Clapton brings tears to my eyes on every blues I've ever heard him do!! Vaughn is technically brilliant also but I gotta put Eric on top when it comes to a straight up blues. The word impeccable comes to mind.
I become speechless everytime I watch this video, it`s all feelings. His soul speaking through his guitar . OMG one of the best performances ever. How I wish I was there. Love you Eric.
Une voix, des mots, un son, une vibration qui me happent et me projettent dans un univers d'une magnifique beauté. Ce transport indicible qui touche mon âme dans toute sa profondeur. La musique, un cadeau inestimable!!!
An aspiring guitarist could spend months learning from this one. Clapton doesn't transcend Albert and Freddie and BB, but he has added a lot of just plain scrumptious variations on the blues. So much better live than on recordings.
I had the honor of seeing Eric in several incarnations- Cream three times, Derek and the Dominoes, in a small club with Buddy Guy.... but this.... this is as far as blues guitar goes, At least electric blues. Son House, Robert J... that's a different kettle of trout. Wow.
I agree, i like Clapton on Gibson guitars more than on Fenders - his Gibson sound on John Mayall's album and on the Cream albums is so full of passion.
Perfect....it's perfect.....I don't get people who don't get Clapton. Just listen. Perfect structure, perfect spacing....the "words" of the guitar speak eternal volumes. Thank you EC. And thanks for posting!
Never cared much for Clapton-and I couldn't explain why. That is until lately because I've started to listen to him. This man is a real guitar legend and one of the best ever!
He stated that he liked the feel of a strat, but always has been seeking the sound of a gibson... His signature is an attempt to combine the best of two worlds, but of course... only a 335 sounds like a 335!
He got his first guitar in 1958 when he was 13, gave it up until two years later, he learned the BLUES chords and then practiced it several hours a day. The rest is history. You have to love what you are doing. Clapton didn't care that much about pop music at age 13 and 14, but by 1960 at the age of 15 he discovered the blues and what a difference that made. He has a B D in very late March, so before April 1, the day that we are all reminded of who we are, the great Eric Clapton will turn 70. How strange, Eric Clapton age 70! But you know music students 200 years from now will be watching this video and learning about great rock and blues music much like we (former music students) learned about Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven.
Eric treats that 335 like going back to an old flame. It may have been while since she’s last been in your arms, but once you get your hands on her again you just instinctively know what to do. Just a man in complete control of his instrument. And we’re all witnessing it.
It is in one way, very true. What you're saying now is representative of the clapton that's known today. The greatness he presented in Cream and with the Bluesbreakers is long gone.
On a good night there is no one better than EC. No one. Put a camera on him on a good night and he's off the chart. I'm hoping for a good night in Pittsburgh on Feb. 25th
I do not understand the 142 thumbs down on this piece...just flat dont get it...this is just so good and so natural full of feeling...just real blues....shame..shame
The master of the 20th century: The Elvis Presley of guitar whether the usual Fender or this rare Gibson 335, this version shows younger players what "phrasing" means. TCB for sure!
Blues on guitar just does not get more musically and emotionally intense than this. I've been listening to EC play guitar for forty years, and he seems to just get better and better....
Damn baby!!! That is the best guitar i have ever heard in my life. I can't describe the feeling this song gives me. It's soooooooooo hot!!!! I love this song!!
Respectfully, I think its a matter of personal preference, I listened to the other version on 24 nights, its absolutely great! However, I prefer this one. It appears we are both Eric Clapton fans, so its all good!
bloody hell hes got almost the best feel on blues rock ive ever heard!!!!!!!! also angus young has this ability clapton, angus, berry, king have the best ive ever heard!
I've been to a concert in Heereveen, but it sure was worth every penny, now 9 or 10 years later, I still enjoy it thinking back. But for years He is my hero and playg the bassguitar when i'm playing His cd's.
Pure passion!! Watch this video with a glass of wine in your hand it doesn`t matter if you`re a woman or a man you can always relate to it. Love you Eric,KING of blues.

Absolutely, Steve Gadd is one of the best drummers around. He is just perfect for this song, doesn't need anything more!!
Eric Clapton purchased his Cherry Red Gibson ES-335 in 1964 and used it throughout his career until it was sold by him at auction in 2004. It became known as the “Cream Guitar" as during his tenure with the band. Eric Clapton sold his Cherry Red ES-335 at auction on 24 June 2004 to help raise funds for the alcohol and drug rehabilitation facility, Crossroads Centre at Antigua, which he founded in 1997. It sold for a staggering $847,500 and was purchased by the U.S. music retailer, Guitar Center.
Ah, the days when the guitar said it all, and didn't need words. I fell in love with Clapton's guitar playing way back when he was with John Mayall and Jack Bruce on Blues Breakers. He probably wasn't even twenty.
To all the guys that don't feel anything : I respect you, but really, ask you some questions. I'm a professional guitarist, and i can tell you that this man gives me chills everytime. He IS amazing, his unique vibrato, his inspiration, his soulful feeling, etc... Never heard in my hole life a guy with the same awesome vibrato. Never. Really, ask you some questions...
O melhor solo que já ouvi de Clapton ... e há quase 40 anos que deliro e admiro todo o seu trabalho e toda a sua carreira FENOMENAL !!! CLAPTON , SEMPRE !!!!!
This time and age etc in his life was his best...guitar and vocals...this is one of the best recordings of this song i think....does it get any better...just get lost in it
His solos have been very emotional on this song. Listen to his version on the Derek and the Dominos live album, at the time of the whole Patti-George thing. I think it is the most heart-rending blues solo of his career. His guitar wails, screams, sobs...three decades later, it still makes my hair stand on end.
we are not worthy..... have you ever loved a woman soooo much you tremble in pain... yes I have EC... Muddy and Robert and BB and you can all bring me to my knees... John Lennon once wrote... " as my guitar gently weeps, yours pours down like rain... god bless.
I find funny some people saying that Clapton is overrated...he's the master of blues and a legend of the guitar.
True nobe can play like him and he can sing.bring back great members.
He is not they steal jealous he came to Ann Arbor he can play he makes a guitar talks. That person is a liar .No no one can beat him.
Back in the day he was the best
B.B King will agree to that
SRV comes really close.
No one and I mean no one, phrases the blues and allows the notes to breathe better than Eric Clapton...
5.08 that scale change kills me .. the whole song is clapton signature: emotions, harmonies, charisma, fuilidity .. best in blues. jimi hendrix is like wow !! but can t make a blues like this : proper, elegant, clean, harmonious... too noizy hendrix. once in a while it s ok..clapton.,.everyday since 30 years .. perfection !!!! give the man the credit he deserves. he s the best of all times..for anyone who knows what the blues is all about ....
i can hear albert king
Stfu
Blues isn't about perfection...
too noisy Hendrix....back the bus up guy...no comparison...Clapton best in class...Hendrix...BEST OVERALL...no comparison....YES I love Eric for his style...but DO NOT compare to JIMI
Me too..agree..tight
Eric at his best no one to equal him when he plays like this.
Eric Clapton builds his solo's the way Michelangelo painted his masterpeices, in their own ways they have much in common. All his solo's are great, some transcend greatness and become pure magic!
And he lets us share in his brilliance.
I feel so lucky to be able to hear this musician's musician!

This is really EC at his best. Beautiful playing, lots of feeling and expression. Bravo!
So thankful for the Blues and Eric Clapton.
Makes the ES-335 sing so nicely on this one. Excellent playing
Eric's a different man with that 335
When Eric Clapton is right on his game he lives every note he plays, he makes the notes come alive.
This night he was on his game!!!
this must be the one of his best plays on live performance that we can watch &listen to...
Eric is unexplainably amazing, I love him so much. # 1
This is a fantastic version, great tone, great phrasing, long but compeling throughout. Eric at his best !
He did a great job on the song as a tribute to Freddie King; Eric Clapton brought the pain and soul to the song taking blues to next level.
have you ever loved a women that you made the best guitar solo ever????
Have you ever loved a woman so much you tremble in pain? what a great song
Tone of the gods…such a beautiful touch. That ES335 sings!
Lord have mercy... this is an amazing cover. Clapton is in the zone here.
just shows why he is the best. tell me anyone who could play this song with as much venom and soul .
One of the best of EC ...... Just fabulous.
Thanks.
Have you ever loved a guitar solo?
Ohhhh jeeerr❤👄🎸🎶🎵🎼
yep, but not as much as this one! :)
So much you tremble in pain?
I would kill to get these skills, and have that guitar. MAN, this is just beautiful.
His voice was on fire in this video.still cant believe people say this guy cant sing.Fantastic blues voice to match that playing! Long live the master
Le meilleur du meilleur d'Eric Clapton : c 'est magnifique !
An aspiring guitarist could spend months learning from this one. Clapton doesn't transcend Albert and Freddie and BB, but he has added a lot of just plain scrumptious variations on the blues. So much better live than on recordings.
or years in my case
He was at a lot of jazz concerts.bavk in the day..excellent prerform.
I had the honor of seeing Eric in several incarnations- Cream three times, Derek and the Dominoes, in a small club with Buddy Guy.... but this.... this is as far as blues guitar goes, At least electric blues. Son House, Robert J... that's a different kettle of trout. Wow.
he sounds great with that 335.

Perfect....it's perfect.....I don't get people who don't get Clapton. Just listen. Perfect structure, perfect spacing....the "words" of the guitar speak eternal volumes. Thank you EC. And thanks for posting!
At the height of his powers. Old Love from this set is my favorite.
Never cared much for Clapton-and I couldn't explain why. That is until lately because I've started to listen to him. This man is a real guitar legend and one of the best ever!
His tone sounds great with a 335.
I heard you can pretty much do anything on em
Can't get better than that...Unveliavable
Makes you want to be this woman so you can be this song...
I can sing it to you :-)
I think it was george harrisons vife🙄
Well sais!
Make that Well said.
Best of the Best in Every Way! Thank you, Eric!
I like the more fluid and free-flowing melodic lines he plays on his 335 Gibson.
Yesss love this song so much. Eric slowhand Clapton
He stated that he liked the feel of a strat, but always has been seeking the sound of a gibson... His signature is an attempt to combine the best of two worlds, but of course... only a 335 sounds like a 335!
That's why the 335 was B.B. King's choice decades before Clapton.
I don´t believe anyone has ever loved a woman like he loves his guitar in this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eric Clapton + Gibson ES-335 = Orgasm.
for me he s the best blues musician in the whole history of blues
Eric Clapton - Have you ever loved a woman? BB after dinner :)
Yes. Great song!
john slattery Thank You!! I'm not surprised Lol
Michael Jon Thank You Lol!
EXCEPTIONNEL ! Comme Hank B Marvin... Des guitaristes dans un style différent, mais au-dessus du lot...
That 335 was being pleasured on that stage. And she loved every second of it.
Clapton the best blues guitarist we have ever seen .
He is so great with a 335
Mmm mmm mmm fckn legend unreal been listening to him all day...nothing overrated anyone who says he is doesn’t know the blues or his level of skill

@@WakaWaka2468 fuck oasis
the 240p have never been more hd in my ears!!!
Eric clapton always sound better with gibson...
absolutely amazing how he always picks a right note and right lick... touches my soul.
Seems like the guitare who's singing not Eric !!!
Cold Fire that’s the beauty of a 335. She just wails like an old blues singer.
He got his first guitar in 1958 when he was 13, gave it up until two years later, he learned the BLUES chords and then practiced it several hours a day. The rest is history. This is Clapton at his best! Talk about "phrasing". Gibson 335 (Kalamazoo, MI 1968)
Love those Clapton blues!!
Eric treats that 335 like going back to an old flame. It may have been while since she’s last been in your arms, but once you get your hands on her again you just instinctively know what to do. Just a man in complete control of his instrument. And we’re all witnessing it.
will there ever be a better guitarist than clapton? I don't think so. Absolute genius
It is in one way, very true. What you're saying now is representative of the clapton that's known today. The greatness he presented in Cream and with the Bluesbreakers is long gone.
One of the Greatest Guitarist. Period.

I do not understand the 142 thumbs down on this piece...just flat dont get it...this is just so good and so natural full of feeling...just real blues....shame..shame
Effortless guitar genius. Blues god. Clapton wins hands down !!
Boy o boy , if he can play a woman the way he's playing his guitar ...... he's my man !!!
The master of the 20th century: The Elvis Presley of guitar whether the usual Fender or this rare Gibson 335, this version shows younger players what "phrasing" means. TCB for sure!
Clapton with Gibson guitar........what a lovely thing to see and hear :D
Blues on guitar just does not get more musically and emotionally intense than this.
I've been listening to EC play guitar for forty years, and he seems to just get better
and better....
Damn baby!!! That is the best guitar i have ever heard in my life. I can't describe the feeling this song gives me. It's soooooooooo hot!!!! I love this song!!
one of my best guitar hero!
Thank you Eric for choosing to become one with your guitar....& giving us the a feeling of euphoria.....:-)
Apparently this song represents an "episode" in Mr. Clapton's life. So glad he found his happily ever after down the road.
He let his divinity show on this one. Best thing I've heard him do since 1971.
Best. Guitarist. Ever......Period.
I keep coming back to this. I have a life long obsession with this song, since i picked up guitar 57 years ago today, i know, i'm sad.
EC is one of the very best up there with them,he has gotten rooted and understands the foundation of the music.
12 Bar Blues...Blues...Blues...Clapton style with Gibson tone...can't beat it!
What ever happens, I am going to see him this year, sod everything else. A hero. +++++++
Poor hubert just passed away.God bless him.
That second solo is killer
Respectfully, I think its a matter of personal preference, I listened to the other version on 24 nights, its absolutely great! However, I prefer this one.
It appears we are both Eric Clapton fans, so its all good!
45 years of practise and a lot of genius !! plus the best equipment money can buy!!
bloody hell hes got almost the best feel on blues rock ive ever heard!!!!!!!! also angus young has this ability clapton, angus, berry, king have the best ive ever heard!
this 335 performance is his best to me - since 1974 when I first heard of this guy.
I've been to a concert in Heereveen, but it sure was worth every penny, now 9 or 10 years later, I still enjoy it thinking back.

The licks riffs timing and feeling makes him what he is, ( the greatest),,
gawd my eyes filled wid tears when i saw clapton pick his cherry coloured gibson again........oh he sooo godlike wid it......he just starts burning
the guitarists, guitarist, my hero & forever will be
Here the Man is playing a 355 special!! unusual for Clapton he's a Fender man most times!! great sound from this Gibson..
To all the guys that don't feel anything : I respect you, but really, ask you some questions. I'm a professional guitarist, and i can tell you that this man gives me chills everytime. He IS amazing, his unique vibrato, his inspiration, his soulful feeling, etc...

Thank You Mr. Clapton, for helping me on the path to making music- about 100 thou of those views must be mine.
God damn that 335 is as pure as the wind driven snow. What a fucking tone. Why in gods name did he get away from this magnificent instrument.
