on story #1: I'm originally from South America, my WHOLE family lives there and i currently reside on the other side of he world. It takes about 24 hours one way to just get there so i don't get to go back often. That said, (and i don't have children) i wouldn't go without my husband or use shared finances to do so. I think what Sam was trying to say is that the big difference between an affair and a single instance, is that affairs can last years as well as the fact that with an affair it's not just cheating physically but full on emotionally. Which causes you to question everything. "Why did this start? For how long? How long did they lie to my face everyday? At what point did they start changing little by little fully intent on blowing the relationship up? How could someone be so okay destroying another person like this?" Ect. As for OP asking for details, there could be a few reasons. some people need to know every detail or they will obsess over it and drive themselves insane over trying to piece everything together(My brother is like that). I get it but strongly disagree! When you’re able to catch the stream it’s pretty enjoyable, and honestly when they are long streams I don’t hear every story so I still end up watching the episode when I’m busy doing things. The streams feel pretty personable to me, rather than super scripted!
It's so hard to leave someone when you have kids together. Especially if you have 2 special needs kids.. that's a lot to take on by yourself. I have so much empathy for that poor mother 💔💔 sometimes you don't know someone is going to cheat until they do. Im usually the first on the divorce train, but there's a lot of moving parts to the first story. I think her first move is to demand complete transparency with him. Going through all the messages and having him explain exactly what happened with total honesty is paramount to making it work. Right now, theyre just slapping a bandaid on a bullet wound by trying to go to therapy in this state. Divorce is extremely expensive and they also have a special needs child which requires more attention and resources. I just want to say, that men, and a girl in her early 20's have no idea the way it feels to be a visibly aging woman, in a society that repeatedly tells woman aging is the worst thing they can do, and that their worth is zero, without their looks. So here's the thing I absolutely love OKOP and I don't necessarily agree that the streams are less effort however I would say the thing that I miss about OKOP it's just kind of how the old episodes used to be but I do understand that as the channel grows you can't really act/talk about the things the way you used to without possibly being demonetized or just dealing with RUclips's strict as policies but I feel like I'm cannot be the only one who feels like the episodes are just way too clean now. Also I have noticed that there has been a couple of stories that you guys have super old episodes, and before anybody says that it's just because it was a live stream that was reposted, I know that these where reposted from the stream, but I'm actually talking about the some of the stories themselves were read like last year or the year before.

I just figured since they were clipping and throwing up sections of different live streams the ones I’ve suspected I had heard before was because I do often catch the live streams but like the last hour or so or I’ll join right in the middle of a live stream and then have to leave for work after a hour or 2. I don’t feel like they are personally rereading any stories on purpose if I had to guess I would assume that if they are reading the same stories it’s on accident. I think another thing that also makes that difficult is the fact that they aren’t all on at the same time every day so if John wasn’t there when Sophia read the story that he’s not as likely to recognize jt as a story okop has read because he didn’t read it and wasn’t there when someone else did if that makes sense. I merely used John and Sophia as an example of how that could happen I wasn’t pointing on any particular happenstance just in case they read this. Haha
Yeah, I think that waay back before Riley was on board and they really blew up, they didn't have a system to keep track of the stories they've already read and now they are organising things better but some stories from back when they weren't catalogued slip through. Also, the volume of stories they do has risen and it's hard to keep track. Hopefully as they progress this will become a smoother system.
Let me clarify I do not think the show itself Is pudding in less effort What I don't particularly enjoy Is when the video itself is just the Live stream To me it gives me no reason to watch the video because i've already seen it in the live And when the video is structured, the same way as the live( Because it is / was) It can be very boring You always want new content and I feel like the difference between live streams and videos is the live streams are obviously more personal. But when you Are taking clips from the live stream in posting them as new videos Separate It's technically less content I do know they did Announced They would be doing this But I think they underestimated That that video quality then suffers I do respect them for being able to see that and hopefully changing that in the future. For a round trip family of 3 from Japan to America there needs to be at least a 10k budget for 2 weeks. That’s what I set aside for plane tickets, car rental, food, hotel, and extras. It takes forever to save that much. I haven’t been to America since 2018 by myself when my mom was in the hospital. I couldn’t even afford to go to her funeral 2 years later. Also I have noticed that there has been a couple of stories that you guys have super old episodes, and before anybody says that it's just because it was a live stream that was reposted, I know that these where reposted from the stream, but I'm actually talking about the some of the stories themselves were read like last year or the year before.
@ashleytomlin2321 I totally agree! I really liked how silly it used to be. I liked their audio clips they would put into their edits. I still watch them now but it’s definitely a different show now.
@@ashleytomlin2321 are some of them repeats? I know there’s been a time or 2 where they started to read one but realized it was already read. I just figured since they were clipping and throwing up sections of different live streams the ones I’ve suspected I had heard before was because I do often catch the live streams but like the last hour or so or I’ll join right in the middle of a live stream and then have to leave for work after a hour or 2.
I don’t feel like they are personally rereading any stories on purpose if I had to guess I would assume that if they are reading the same stories it’s on accident. I think another thing that also makes that difficult is the fact that they aren’t all on at the same time every day so if John wasn’t there when Sophia read the story that he’s not as likely to recognize jt as a story okop has read because he didn’t read it and wasn’t there when someone else did if that makes sense. I merely used John and Sophia as an example of how that could happen I wasn’t pointing on any particular happenstance just in case they read this. Haha
Yeah, I think that waay back before Riley was on board and they really blew up, they didn't have a system to keep track of the stories they've already read and now they are organising things better but some stories from back when they weren't catalogued slip through. Also, the volume of stories they do has risen and it's hard to keep track. Hopefully as they progress this will become a smoother system.
Let me clarify I do not think the show itself Is pudding in less effort What I don't particularly enjoy Is when the video itself is just the Live stream To me it gives me no reason to watch the video because i've already seen it in the live And when the video is structured, the same way as the live( Because it is / was) It can be very boring You always want new content and I feel like the difference between live streams and videos is the live streams are obviously more personal. Put the videos should be different content to offer you more diverse Viewing experience to then encourage you to then watch the live stream Because it's different content Slash gives you another way to interact with the channel Obviously re-uploading the live streams as an episode is different. But when you Are taking clips from the live stream in posting them as new videos Separate It's technically less content I do know they did Announced They would be doing this But I think they underestimated That that video quality then suffers I do respect them for being able to see that and hopefully changing that in the future. I've been watching the show for over a year But just seeing that the live streams are Just the videos It kidda makes you Not want to watch one To fully be able to enjoy the other Not saying I don't enjoy their content but seeing The same content over. Let's say the span of two weeks or so can Get very repetitive I hope I explained this in a way that's not showing hate just how it Was personally affecting My enjoyment of the show And many others

For a round trip family of 3 from Japan to America there needs to be at least a 10k budget for 2 weeks. That’s what I set aside for plane tickets, car rental, food, hotel, and extras. It takes forever to save that much. I haven’t been to America since 2018 by myself when my mom was in the hospital. I couldn’t even afford to go to her funeral 2 years later. But also Covid so there’s that.

Tbh i cannot do the livestreams. While I love that you credit donations and chat to chatters, it interrupts the flow of the story and I feel frustrated it takes what feels like double the time to get through the content.

To me, I think having a 1 off is sometime worse, especially the way she framed it as “if she still got it”. Who is to say later down the road she might feel like she wants to try again to see if she still got it, or whatever. Some people use “ways this could’ve been worse” as a sort of consolation prize to help soften the blow of however bad the actual thing is.
