“Hello Pastor, or should I say *Father*?!”
I dropped my favorite teacup laughing at this. 😂
Uncle pastor father ?
( hopefully you’re familiar with arrested development and get the quote from the show haha ).
@dannystarkridesfixed I'm not but it's still funny. Made me think of Uncle Daddy from Claws. 😂😂
@@badkitty4922oh well to summarize the quote.
The dad on the show is a twin. And the twin brother has an affair with the mom on the show. And the youngest son is his child. So when they have him find out about it he starts calling him :” uncle father Oscar “though he’s a full grown adult.
Daddy?
“I just wanna stir the pot!” God girl I felt that on a spiritual level
Riley sounds like he’s having so much fun in this episode just laughing at Sam and John’s crazy 😂
It is awesome to have John and Sam on the show together with Reilly laughing in the background. THIS is OKOP to me! ❤❤❤
As a full-blooded Puerto Rican I baptize you as Boricuas! 🎉
Now you can take a Palo De Ron! (Shot of Rum) and shout "WEPA".
Story 1: My dad (also christian) knew someone in medical school in the same situation and it didn’t end well. She grew up as a strong catholic to a single mom who used to tell her dad was a “sea captain.” My dad was her friend when she found out she had multiple half siblings and her father was a pastor who was a lot older than her mother. Unfortunately, similar to this OP, she had an overly idealic view of clergymen and it shook her so hard she committed suicide.
Wow
Damn. That hit me like a ton of bricks at the end. I spent my whole life begging my mom who my dad was. She passed in 2014 and I still had no idea.
I just happen to find the place she used to work at there and talked to the owner. Got his number and what not.
I tried to call one time and it went to voice mail. Second time he answered but my service dropped.
I’m on the fence about reaching out. I really just want to know my health history. I already have/had a dad. He passed in 2000.
I’m worried I might want to get to know him to hear stories about my mom back them, because I really do want to hear them. But I don’t really want a relationship. I live in NC and he is in TX, and I have a life, kids, all that jazz. I’d let him know he has grandkids but it would be up to them, and if they say no it’s no.
"Please don't call me" Sam and John immediately call 😂
At least they didn't address the elephant.
Also 2nd story - Doesn't always have to be a Teen Mom situation to end up with your sister as your mom 👀 There are worse conclusions especially the closer they are in age
Lol the dirty pastor jokes had me crying 😅
i love hearing riley cracking up in the background 😂
As someone who was lied to about who their father is, OP definitely deserves to know
Sorry to hear that.🫂 It took my bio father a whole 15mins to run up to the lawyers office to sign off on me. I was 10.🤦🏽♀️
@@QueenofChaos80 oh man. Also it's okay the real kicker is I found out from a family friend's daughter
@@alexsagesivori6966 damn.💔 Similar happened to my youngest kid's father. He found out from a friend that his 'parents' are actually his grandparents. He was about 12.🤦🏽♀️
@@QueenofChaos80 I was 18 when I found out....
@@alexsagesivori6966 woow. I'm so sorry. 💔🫂
Oh honeys. U HAVE to do this kind of episode every week or at least as many times as u hv DNA callers to call LOL! That was the best most potent tea you’ve ever served.
I ordered ancestry kit for xmas and it sits on my desk....reddit has made me afraid to complete it lol
All I found out is that I’m very Irish. All family drama happened because of AOL lol.
WE HAVE TO KNOW
Me too!!!! I've had it for 4 years. Can't make myself take it lmbo! 😮
I did it & found out I'm 38% Scottish & found my bio uncle. He answered a lot of my questions about my adoption so far. He's only 1 1/2 hours away. We've only talked on ancestry messaging & fb messaging. I'm taking things slowly. He said his mom & my bio dad (his brother) will want to talk to me on the phone at least when I'm ready. So it's exciting, but I have really bad anxiety, so baby steps. ❤
Honestly, as someone who is adopted and has known she has been adopted since I can litterally remember, if your parents love you before finding infidelity or before you find out you're adopted, I doubt it will change how they feel about you. It could change how they feel about each other, but otherwise, you should still be loved. AND IF NOT, you've got a huge reddit community to have your back
It is always ironic when super churchy individuals are the ones that end up being the ones that do "inappropriate" things.🤔
Then they try to put up the most fake, judgy facade like they're Jesus's best friends
Always
From watching a bunch of court dealing in paternity, if the suspected father refuses to take a paternity test then the judge can just order him to pay child support until he does acquiesce to the order.
I'm not one for drama, but I'm one for truth. It amazes me how afraid people are of the truth.
Right like in the first story they're all talking about what good does it do for OP but like how f****** selfish of her I have lived with depression my whole life and the fact that someone especially one that has been raised by this person has decided oh I'm going to keep their choice away from them and I'm going to hide the truth away from them just cause they have depression because I like the pretend happiness that depressed people put on to deal with the world rather than dealing with problems and having true happiness. Op Has no d*** spine and it's selfish as f*** and only worried about her poor little mama who's gone through so much but apparently her father hasn't gone through enough even though he suffers with depression. Shows me the mom has been emotionally abusive and manipulative throughout op's whole life especially with how much Opie talks about her mom but barely mentions her dad unless it's drug out of her by the comments. It's a pathetic story and op is even more pathetic than the d*** pastor. Evil wins when good stands aside I'm not even sure if goods stood aside this time because I can't say OP has any good in her the way she justifies keeping it from her father the man that raised her.
The green flag on the green screen background is fascinating 😂
Loved the first caller!
All she needs to do is get a copy of the original DNA test from child support enforcement. They will give her a copy. She doesn't have to go back through the DNA test for that. Former child support enforcement officer
When John winked and pointed he looked like Buddy Christ from the movie Dogma 😂
Yay! More OKOP! It's 6am here -_- so sleepy but need to listen to the dulcet tones of Sam and John ❤
I always get so excited seeing OKOP pop up in my notif window that I can't go back to sleep without watching it!
I reckon the dad knows that she is the pastors kid, just because he made that comment.
Just be thankful that her husband isnt also the pastors kid.
We found out my Grandfather- my mom's dad, was switched at birth through a DNA test! Grandpa hasn't been with us for a long time so we thankfully didn't have to worry about it affecting relationships, mama met who she calls her siblings but tbh I'm still confused about who's family or not technically. I'd only seen it happen passively once or twice in shows but I guess it really does happen sometimes
Only cool story I have about DNA tests haha
It's centimorgans, not centimeters. That is the units that dna is measured in.
Can we please stop with the “lull” when it’s LOL 😂
The first OKOP-er sounds like she's calling from the spirit realm lol. Really enjoyed this episode!
I love the energy of this video 😂
Poor Riley is getting more out of this than John and Sam
So what happens when one of ops sibling take the same test and they are only half sinlings? Or one of the pastors brothers kids take the test and see this person as a cousin?? Come on these days the chances of someone else or their kid taking the same test at some point is pretty damn high!!!
Half sinlings!! 😂😂 you got that right! Can't keep the cat in the bag forever. It's not necessarily hers to tell, though. In private, their mom should at least tell op the truth.
As a Puerto Rican, we welcome you with open arms & good food!
13:18 nah real way to say it is “that doctor that puts you to sleep” 😴 😂
I don't usually like the call-in part of the show but these were so fun! Loved it!
Big protein just losing his shit knowing what’s coming 😂
I get that 1st OP didn't want to stir the pot but the person who gets cheated on, in this case her mother's husband, deserves to know the truth.
Lol the chaos in this one 😂
I am laughing my socks and all off with everything in this episode! I love the reasons, John and Sam! Hahahaha
OP1: I will respect what OP plans to do. It's the right thing for her (and mom). I do wonder what benefit it would have if OP spilled the beans since, yes, it will not make the pastor replace her current Chinese dad. OP had a good childhood (except for the biology and walking into the "incident).
OP2: It's an interesting story, and it seems to run in the family. I cannot blame the mom for doing what she did, especially at a young age. It will come out, and it may or may not explode!
OP3: The truth will eventually come out - "sowing his seeds" brings this story new meaning.
When I was a child in Tennessee, I spent a lot of time at my grandmother’s house. A Korean family moved in next door, and those kids became my best friends. When I was about 7, they moved to a different part of Tennessee, 2 years later we moved to Ohio. We were only there about a year and a half before we moved to the town my other grandparents lived in California… I ended up going to high school in that same CA town with my former friends from TN.
Cannot wait for the update of the the girl who is going to do the DNA test. 🙌🏻
Three people don't *Only Know* You got contacted by ANOTHER PERSON about it, She's not gonna keep her mouth shut
And it will not be the only link since anyone else doing that test even distanced family will find it
OP should test the grandparents
I swear to god, I use your posts to know when dinner time is. Omw to go make some chicken fried rice
Australia or Europe?
@@freedomcatEurope but sort of wishing it was Australia. It’s bloody freezing
@@ellenthesmellen6126 American Midwest NE IN. Freezing here too.
Slap happy Sam, Riley and John 😂😂😂😂
CM in DNA isn't "centimeter" - it's "centimorgan." The higher number of centimorgans shared in DNA matches equal the closer familial match.
I agree... at this stage in OP life and mom's life, no good will come from exposing the secret
The cM doesn’t stand for centimeter in the genealogy world. It stands for centimorgan, a unit of measuring DNA.
My husband's grandma's Dad was a preacher. She got a DNA thing for Christmas one year when she was well into her 70s. She fou d out her childhood best friend and next door neighbor was actually her half sister....surprise surprise. I guess it's atleast nice that she knew and had spent time with her sister she just didn't know she was her sister.
Puertorrican / Italian mix must be explosive 😅 thanks for trying not to mess the accent 😂
19:09 I LOVE Big Proteins laugh!
As a PRican...I approve of Riley trying! Think Tony Montana in Scarface 😂
Conspiracy theory: ancestry DNA or 23 and me wrote the good DNA story to make it seem like it's not always a shit show with DNA tests!
0:14 John’s giving me Brady Szuhaj vibes with that DAD?!
Oh, my goodness. That first caller was precious.
What’s up with Sophia’s voice change and suddenly short haircut 😅😂😂😂😂
This is the best one so far 😂😂😂
I love hearing Riley bust out laughing in the background
Guys, just ho to bed, and SLEEP!!!
The Jet sharks are gonna be so pissed
OP from the 1st story needs to notify the elder board of the church. Hopefully they will have the pastor resign for his moral failing.
GIVE **~ BRITNEY~** A GUEST STAR SPOT ON THE REGULAR!! You’re so cute girl!! I love your plug on subscribe for OkOp!!
Good luck with your father!!
OP sounds like she could be a Nancy Drew game voice actress
I need notification on that update!
My mom got my dad a DNA kit for Christmas a few years ago, he has a large family with many branches. It's still in their den, he never got around to taking it. Idk if it would even work any more
Big red flag on OP not telling her father about the affair in the 1st story. He deserves to know, and it should not be OP's decision to keep the truth from him. Exposing the truth doesn't ruin families, cheaters do
This is a straight-up Jerry Springer Episode.
I would blackmail the pastor to step down!
I cannot get over why every American run to the therapist for everything.
Not all… some run to pew pews
I have an ancestry kit, but I know it could/ would throw a light to a real dark secret that may destroy a family image for my relatives.
#1 the half siblings don't have to accept her, but her dad should know the truth. #2 I understand the parents they were just trying to make sure their daughter had a good life. I also understand the dad, he just couldn't do it and that's nobody's fault. I personally would not have taken the test though. That's a forever secret.#3 that hilarious, especially the uncle leaving kids all over the place, but being too stoned to remember. Lol!
Now I want to take one just to see…😂
Whats the last girls problem with texas? She sounds really inmature... shes gonna get told that they dont care and dont want anything to do with her anyways and shell be heart broken
the texas statement was a joke… lol
Iam trying not to be rude and get attacked, she is stating she is a Libreral or a Democrat.
Brittany is the best and really funny.
We all have a crush on John.
Op deserves the truth, the church gossips do not. If it was consensual, there's no use ruining lives, they're both adults & its their business unless it hurts someone else. It's up to op if they want to confront their bio dad for a conversation.
OP should at least tell the elder board to have him removed, at the very least. The pastor should no longer be a pastor at this rate.
John & Same together again❤ I like the others, but it’s just not the same unless it has John and Sam.
I don't blame the half sister for not wanting her in her life😂
My names also Brittany and I have the same problem with my bio dad
2:39 my conspiracy theory is he was just doing what was needed for them to have another kid. The dad knows. 😂
While I 100% understand wanting to meet your bio-parent for health reasons, if he don't wanna talk to you he ain't giving you a kidney anyway
Story 1: OP is doing right by herself and thats all she needs to do. She didnt ask to be born an affair baby, she didnt ask to carry this burden and the burden of telling people. That burden should be on her mother
Story 1: I understand why OP chose to let it be. Especially from a cultural standpoint. (collectivism) no winners, no matter what. It’s now about minimizing the collateral damage and impact it hold to entire community v.s a few families. Korean church’s outside of Korea are basically an extension of Korean society and cultural norms and is far more than just a church on a social standing. I’m just speculating but sounds like OP may be 2nd gen as she trying her best to balance opposing social expectations. This type of scandal usually leads for all involved being ostracized even the victims. (Based on my personal experience)
Exactly. This culture of "honesty is the best policy" and "you need closure" doesn't work in every situation. Sometimes you have to let things be.
Do we have update for last story?
I mean the secret already out if the plaster relative reached out from dna
Pastor dad story, OP really seems to be focused on what is best for them and very little thought into what is best for their father. If the truth comes out OP shouldn’t expect forgiveness from the father who raised him. Once you know the truth and choose to keep the secret buried you are complicit in the lie as well.
Story 1, OP needs a history lesson as to why there is Japanese in their DNA.
Enlighten us?
@@7ShadowMaiden7Google World War 2 and Japanese Unit 731, that should answer your questions
@@7ShadowMaiden7world war two
@@sierraalice8072yes, but there is more to it than that. There is a long history, but essentially Japan colonized Korea in the early 1900s, taking over land, tried wiping out their culture, treated the Koreans like scum in all the ways humans do. There was widespread forced sex slave/prostitution, a lot of r-wording mixes the DNA. Labor camps in WW2, but there was a lot of build up until then. This kind of story is common throughout the world and through time. But take a look at Korean folks taking DNA tests, and they all have a bit of Japanese in them.
@@7ShadowMaiden7 They called their victims Comfort Women. Soldiers assaulted women in a lot of different countries in the Pacific theater of WWII.
Story 1 church daddy: How long was the affair? And is the affair still going? Also, if others find out that is the consequences of their actions and not OPs responsibility at all.
I have a crush on Riley 😂
Personally I think id confront the pastor and tell him he needs to step down or I’d tell people. I think the immediate family of both sides need to know because it’s unfair to keep it a secret from them.
It’s also unfair to the congregation to be lead by someone leading a double life - the pastor has a responsibility to come clean.
This guy did a dna test and found out his uncle cheated and had another child, now an adult. The uncle passed away and afterwards the guy and his family saw the dna test. They didn’t want to meet the cousin and hired a lawyer to make sure the person didn’t get anything from the will. The person never had his father’s name and was raised by his single mom in the same small town. I told the guy I thought his family should meet the uncles son and I said it was not nice that the only reason they didn’t want to meet him was because of money. I got all judgmental and told him his family was wrong n you should give him something of his father.
About a month later he told me his family was going to meet the guy and the guy was so happy because he always wanted family.
Not sure what happened next because the guy moved.
I think first OP made the right decision.
This is not my family but as part of the “other side” of the family, this sucks. It truly is an unfair situation for all of the kids, even if they are adults.
OP should tell.
Your love relationship with your siblings hasn't really changed. You just put some labels on it to make you think they have changed
Being related genetically does not mean that you have to have a relationship with the person. I understand that people might feel rejected and insecure, but trying to force someone to like them because they are genetically related is not worth it. Find a therapist, love the family you have, find friends that turn into family and ultimately create the family you wish you had growing up. Begging someone to accept you because they are genetically related to you is a waste of time and energy.
John's hair looks really good today, lots of volume
why did john think story 2s OP was a girl the whole time 😭😭
I grew up thinking my oldest siblings were my cousins because they weren't around much. Turns out it's because our dad cheated on their mom with my mom. I am the affair child. I was 19 or so when I learned that we were siblings. When they lawyer called me to tell me dad had died. (My mom got custody of my younger sister and I so we didn't see him again after I turned 9.)
you guys what is up are you still paying for your bali vacay?
In the first story it's not quite finished yet but the way OP is talking about her mom and the way her mom's been through so much but she doesn't talk about her dad or our dad has the right to know no they're keeping it secret from him this shows me that she has been heavily emotionally abused by her mother and has a unhealthy attachment to her mother which happens a lot and I don't want to say abusive households by toxic households. She thinks her siblings deserve to know but not her father she doesn't talk once about her actual father the man that actually raised her. Very churchy feeling if you ask me she definitely needs therapy to get away from this religion
Love the Puerto rican accent hahaha from a latina, that was aweful
