My engagement ring was less than $200. But the stones are lab created and the ring is beautiful. I picked it out myself, I didn't want stones dug out of the Earth with slave labor. I love it very much ❤
We bought my engagement ring and wedding ring as a set on Etsy for like $950 it’s a huge moissanite and a band with small moissanite baguettes. It’s beautiful. Have had it for 10 years, and it tests as a diamond
As a cancer widow myself, I think I have some good insight here: Going through cancer treatment, even as the caretaker, is brutal. It's so brutal. If I went through all that AND THEN HE CHEATED ON ME AND LEFT ME.... Oh hell no. I think she is a freakin' saint for letting them move in.
The sister not respecting the boundaries about the swing. Total AH! I'm on the heavier side, and I don't sit on things when I'm only 2kg (think that's about 4lbs) over the recommended weight limit. When you break something like that, and you were told not to touch it, then you REPLACE IT! Also the husband sucks. I'm sure OP must have spoken about that swing a few times.
I just can't imagine my husband not giving me thoughtful gifts and then not recognizing why I'd be so angry to lose the swing. The most recent gift he gave me was both pricey and scarce. It was something I wanted but never even told him about because A) the price B) VERY few were even made and C) they sold out within minutes of being available for purchase. So I didn't bring it up because what was the point? I'd never get one anyway so let's just not think about it. Well the man managed to know it would be the perfect gift and somehow got his hands on one from a shop several towns over. If someone had broken it a WEEK after he gave it to me I'd be ready to fight someone, especially because although it's insured there are no available replacements so it would just be the cash
Im willing to bet it was waaay more than a couple times she said how much she loved it in the reddit post so i bet her husband really knew important to her. Hes a scumbag for not telling his sister to pay her for it!!
I found the receipt for our entire wedding set (his included) and it was around $150. I found this prior to the wedding. I was extremely disappointed, because he spends more on himself on a regular basis. I am more tight fisted. I ended up spending around $1500 in secret, and replaced the rings as a surprise at the wedding. In his defense, he thought I would appreciate him not spending more money. However, that did not make sense to me🤷🏼♀️. We are still married, 11 years later..
I stopped going on Reddit. Found these guys to get my AITA fix. Lol. Idk why I love listening to John and Sam so much I watch the uploads as they come up and I watch the weekly recap of all the same episodes. Dont care. I love these two. 😂🍿👍💜
@@jessicatorres9501 i was banned. Lmao. From AITA community on Reddit. Trust me you are better off bc it's so toxic. These guys are still my favorite. I try to watch an episode everyday to get my fix still. Can't help I love the AITA stories and these 2 are the best! Lol
My engagement ring is a rat. It's silver and has black diamond eyes. What can I say call my husband knew me? 😂 It was less than 150, but its exactly what i want. I don't think the cost matters, I think it's her getting what she wanted that matters.
Worst gift I ever got was, surprisingly, a really expensive pair of diamond earrings. I told him I didn't want them before he bought them, I never wore flashy stuff, and they wouldn't go with anything I owned. He handed me a pair of diamond earrings for my birthday, then a piece of paper showing me how much he spent on them, and then said "I'd better get something in return for this", implying "getting his return" would be favors in the bedroom. Barf. My current wedding ring cost $200 and I'm in love with it because my husband and I picked it out together. All about context!
On the engagement ring, mine was about $1,600 with the lifetime insurance included. My husband completely picked mine, I had nothing to do with picking it out. I told him before we even got engaged that I didn’t want a ring that cost more than $2k and that would still feel like too much for me. Every ring I sent him inspiration for prior wasn’t more than $800. 🤷♀️
The parents keeping punishment after proven incident is just like the us “justice” system where you have to prove that not only are you innocent that it was unreasonable for you to be convicted at the time
I literally told my husband that if he spent more than $200 on my engagement ring I would be mad 😂 Why waste hundreds or thousands on a rock for your hand when you can spend it making memories. Our wedding bands were only $150 each too. Etsy has fantastic independent jewelers. Also have to add that my family and I all have a heirloom plant! It's a pothos that my great grandma Dottie had for years, and now we all have a little piece of Dottie at home to pass down ❤
For the first story, I don't want to be married, so no ring is fine with me. However, I did tell my partner that if he ever wanted to buy me one that he could go to Fragrant Jewels and buy me a bathbomb and whatever ring was inside would be good enough. xD The bathbombs are roughly $25.00
My original engagement ring was very simple, we had just gotten out of college and realistically preferred to spend the money on a down payment for a house. Then for our 10 year anniversary when we were more financially stable, we got a spendy custom dream ring made using some of the elements from the original.
I have a horrific story about a bathroom accident and I had. Obviously this might be a little gross but the whole night was funny looking back... I have medical issues, so I'm really prone to throwing up or having sudden severe stomach pain before this night. Stress affects it. My husband and i recently moved, my friend drove the uhaul and we drove our car with our pets in it. I was already stressed out, then a semi flipped on the highway in a rural area. We ended up having to turn around, and we ended up having to go down this one road in order to turn around and the U-Haul got stuck in a massive ditch. This thing almost flipped over on its side. We couldn't get a phone signal to call anybody. It was the middle of the night and a place we didn't know in the middle of nowhere where there was a bunch of wild animals. My husband and I went back to the main road to try to find help, will my friend had to stay behind with the u-haul because she couldn't fit with the animals in the back. As we were driving I almost hit a herd of elk.. Well, that was about all the stress my stomach could handle. Imagine having really bad stomach flu or food poisoning.. i was puking first, i felt so damn sick, but i kept it together at first. I had a guy that was towing the flipped semi call the sheriff to come help us with the u-haul. We had to wait for him for about an hour, and by then I was really sick. It was coming out of both ends at that point. Also, at one point some random old guy brought our friend to us, so she was there. I had been going on the side of the road next to the car because i didn't wanna get eaten or old by those elk that are probably pissed i almost hit them.. it was also so, so cold and all my heavy clothes were packed away... The Sheriff shows up to help and im pleading that he didnt see the huge puddle on the side of the road. 😭 then we all had to wait another 2 hours for the tow truck.. the whole time i was getting out of the car, getting sick, getting in the car super fast to stop shivering, getting right back out to get sick, pitch dark with wild animals in the darker treeline, all while dealing with fixing the uhaul and caring for the animals we had in the car. I genuinely feel like I was on an episode of I shouldn't be alive. 😂 As we were finally getting back on the road to get to the hotel that night, my cat took a massive dump in her crate, so for a good 30 more minutes we had the windows open blowing icy air on us while still getting massive whiffs of cat crap. my stomach was so messed up by this experience, i lost a lot of weight involuntarily because I couldn't eat anything for a year and a half.
At least when we finally got cell service that night, I got to send a picture of my friend in the back of a cop car to my friend's mom and freak her out. 😂 i just said, "this is what happens when you leave her alone with me for 2 seconds" 🤣
My wedding ring cost $99 and I chose it, I get compliments on it all the time I have been with my husband for 13 years and married 8, best friends since middle school and now we have three kids, not one problem with my ring I can't leave my house without feeling naked without it! ❤
My husband and i picked out rings together off Amazon. We picked ones we each would like and be happy wearing for the rest of our lives. I think mine was $20ish and his was almost $40
I have what I thought was an unpopular opinion in that I think the value and the cost do not matter. But I think your idea is great. Both parties pick out something they can see themself wearing forever as a symbol of love. ❤
@@LadyKris3345 exactly! I don't care for monetary things and originally didn't even want a ring but fell in love with the one I have. Not to mention the colors in our rings match which we love. I'm far happier with it than if he had spent a ton of money on one and I ended up not wanting to wear it in fear of ruining it
My ex spent $24 ... got it on EBAY (que Weird Al). I found this out 10 years after we broke up. It was *silver* with a moonstone, though it turned my hand green so not real silver. We broke up in 2010, so I moved back with my parents but ended up going back to college *out of state* so we just put a lot of things in storage in my parents basement... so in 2020 we were cleaning and I found the shipping envelope and recipt in the bottom of a box, I guess someone used it for packaging materials? Showed he got it for $24 from a Chinese seller on EBAY... joke's on him, I pawned it after being broken up for two years for $30 ... so I guess I came out ahead?
Work is a break. Work has people that arent the kids, it has time away from the kids, there are bathroom breaks without the kids, there is a commute where you get to see the world and again be alone and away from the kids. Childcare is not a 40 hour job like a normal job. When working parents act like the stay at home parent has an easier job its really not true. Especially if they have to continue working 24/7 because the other parent has to decompress after work but the stay at home parent doesnt get any time to decompress ever.
My engagement ring was 7k but my fiancé makes around 90-130k a year. I picked it out and loved it. I think you should spend what you believe you can afford and will make your partner happy.
Less about the cost of the ring, and more about the style and longevity of it in my opinion. I have a blue topaz as my main stone because I wanted color, but colored diamonds are expensive for no good reason. If anything happens to my stone (because it's softer) it's less than $100 to replace. My setting was $1500, but we paid for what I liked. I would have been happy with less.
OP'S brother had the same opportunity to have a relationship with his uncle. I don't think that he should get the same amount of money since he didn't.
We make 130k together and our budget was 2k and we went shopping together and discussed budget beforehand. We didn’t the see the point in paying more than that it was enough money to buy good quality and pleasing to the eye. However, I’d be equally happy with cheap ring if we were broke or we both agreed on the fact a ring doesn’t matter all that much.
Homorary Bridesmaid...... Was part of a friends wedding where I was named an Honorary Bridesmaid. I was asked to work the Guestbook, i.e. direct people to sign as they entered the vestibule, also cut and serve the cake after the bride and groom cut and ate their first piece. Having never cut a multi tiered cake before, I did tutorials, video I and written and fortunately it turned out really well. I was asked to wear something really "Dressy" like a cocktail dress, as long as it was suitable for the church and given 4 colors to pick from as bride had 4 different pastel colours, a different one for the regular bridesmaids. It was all very enjoyable.
I inherited my grandfather’s WW2 medals and his copy of Japans Deed of Surrender as I was the only family member that talked to him about his time in the war, and we spent hours talking to each other about war and how it was, he promised me I could have them and told my grandmother of his wishes. Unfortunately when my grandmother passed away she promised my grandfather’s medals to my nephew and the person clearing out my grandmother’s papers threw out the Deed of Surrender. So I got nothing, and it hurts so much. I miss both my Grandparents and my nephew has no interest in the medals, hopefully this will change one day.
My husband spent $35 on mine, but I'm the one who picked it out. Sterling silver (I prefer silver over gold) opal (my birth stone) and flat (I don't like larger rings cause I catch EVERYTHING on rings like that, including myself). It's simplistic, but lovely and exactly my style. I don't like diamonds because they are not worth what you pay for them. I prefer opals over anything else. But we aren't traditional anyways. We exchanged bracelets rather than rings and had a handfasting rather than a wedding. Our ceremony was literally just family as my daughter was our officiate. She, like me, is certified clergy so we both can officiate over weddings.
sent this to my 3 sons.. (you're welcome for the new viewers lol).. they all 3 said they'd split it 7 million 3 ways. OP is getting MILLIONS he did nothing for other than visit with who he claims was just his fav uncle. personally, i think he visited to set himself up to get that money so he feels like he worked for it. it's harder to give it up with IT WAS A JOB
I was taking pics with my grandmother. Her thing is spontaneous flower field pictures. So she was sitting behind me and I'm in between her legs. She then said SOMEONE HELP ME UP! I HAVE TO PEE! Before I could get up I felt my back get suddenly wet and warm....... This was the first time. After that it was a joke that she peed on me til the third time. I will admit the third time was on me cause I shouldn't have trusted it but STILL! Now my grandmother has asked for her to do those pics with my kid and I said no cause she might pee on my toddler and my grandfather laughed so hard
I don’t think I would give money away that was gifted to be by someone who loved me exceptionally much and that I had a wonderful relationship with. I would however invite my family to luxury vexations and stuff like that. If it’s gifted to me, that person wanted me to have it. If others try to force me they are just showing a ugly side, wanting to take what’s mine. That is at least my view on it. The same would of course go in the opposite way. Like, my dad has a painting I love. I’m artsy and paint myself, I’m the only one in the family who has an interest in art. And this painting is of my favourite subject, an old ship caught in a storm. I can stare at it for hours. But my dad want my oldest brother to have it. My brother, who knows nothing about art, who can even write in a readable way. Have a said a word against it? No. Because it’s my dad’s painting and he want my brother to have it. End of story. Am I sad about it, of course. But it is not up to me, it’s up to dad.
I decided to buy my own engagement ring. I know my husband would have spent a lot more than I was willing to part with as we even then shared an income and also I never wanted a diamond and prefer other precious stones. Also I'm not fond of gold and prefer silver. I think for me it's less how much you spend and more about just a representation of a love to one another. Also my ring was handmade and it was a newer jewelry crafter so it had mistakes but I think that makes it more unique ☺️
26:47 I think this is the only time iver ever had a story. This story isn’t about me but about my sister and her husband. I was at there house and we were talking. Somehow the topic of dennys came up. I told them about this one particular one that I always go because the staff is so nice, and then they told me a story. So apparently my brother in law had the runs really bad and they pulled into this dennys to use the restroom, unfortunately that’s not what happened. According to him it was coming that moment. So they parked his truck, he dropped his pants, opened his door and shit from his truck onto the pavement. Then proceed to yell for my sister to grab something to clean it up. This was the middle of the day, think lunch rush. That my brother in law shit from outside his truck widow, wiped it but with a couple of socks and high tailed it out. The worst part about it was when I went to dennys the next time after learning this story. I decided to ask if they had any wild stories (looking to see if my brother in law was infamous amount this dennys) she proceeded to tell me that some man once took a shit from out of his truck and left.
My mom was suing the state we live in for not treating us properly during our time in foster care, and was doing interviews and was about to take everything national. She had lawyers and private investigators. our family is black and doctors misdiagnose black woman all the time. if the doctors hadn’t misdiagnosed her with muscular problems and gave her wrong medication instead of her literal brain tumor she would’ve lived and I would have a mom and 25 million dollars to help with college. Edit: my dad is still alive and sold her computer that my big brother was helping her with, “lost” her stuff in storage and I had nothing to remember my mother by but her ashes mg dad doesn’t put in an urn
John and Sam were talking awhile ago about making longer videos. I didn't think that meant taking all the vids through the last week and throwing them into 1 long video. I feel cheated.
@jirup3107 I do not see these as "recaps." Have you ever watched a TV show that has recaps? They play highlights from the previous episode. Could you imagine watching a recap on an hour long show and them replaying the entire episode and call it a recap?
The last story, he never abandoned his son after finding out his son wasn't his. His son literally cut him out of his life because he seems like he would rather be with his bio father - which is why he is changing his name, and icing out the man who raised him.
Me in 2014: rolls my ankle walking in properly in well tied sneaker, so bad I needed to get X-rays cuz my GP was worried I had a hairline fracture. Me in 2023: still has permanent nerve damage in my right foot and in a wheelchair because it feels like I'm walking on Legos at all times.
its impressive how you defend the kid trying to change its last name. look i didnt do that even after all my childhood trauma. a parent should be straight with their child, yet lenient. you are literally asking him to forget 22 years of child raising. i personally would not only tell him hes not my child if he doesn't want to, because hes cutting into our father son realationship with changing his name and treating me like a guarantee... i am a living human being, i feel. If he decides its enough that i have his best in mind to tell me i will never be his father again.. i will tell that to your face, i am a human. You have to show me that you love me sometimes. If MY grandma is just a cashregister for you.. and i am just good in the backhand I don't want to be there for the time being. HES WELCOME to come back.. but until the moment he realises hes giving up all his childhood over a stupid name change . Its like i am your atm... and a strangrr comes into OUR LiFES and the first thing you do is ignore me.. and tell me you dont want to bear MY Name.. the person you STILL ask to love you unconditionally
my first boyfriend while I was in college and I gave an entire DJ set for his birthday. He broke up with me right afterwards😢. Mind you I was in college paying my own way through college working full time and paid for my own apartment. This was literally all of my money. 😢
My ring was around $150. He offered to pay for something more expensive but I didn’t feel comfortable having something expensive knowing how rough I am on my hands on the best of days. (I’ve broken the ring already, so now I wear a $15 find at a local shop because I don’t want to risk losing my original ring)
My sons father spent hundreds on my engagement ring. It was a black diamond in platinum because i dont like yellow gold, i only expected silver but was pleasantly surprised by my dream ring. He dumped me the month before our wedding after 4 years together (2 years of engagement) a child and over £10,000 spent on the wedding, because he couldn't handle my health degradation anymore. My husband and i spent £100 total on my engagement ring and our wedding rings. We got married in the court house with just our parents, he wouldn't even let me invite my sister, never mind my freinds. We're in the middle of a divorce after 4 years of increasing abuse. I don't think its how much you spend, its the intention behind it.
The inheritance story,.. giving money to the brother would generate huge income taxes as thats a cash gift and cash gifts are taxable. So still wouldnt have half and you just handed tons of money to the government needlessly. Just give brother things in life like go on family vacation and pay for his share. Though interesting 1 brother gets 39% the other 9% do you suppose theres a typo in the will? Where did all the rest of the money go? Maybe both were supposed to get 39% or just 9%?
26:50 similar story to sam, but unfortunately i didn't notice the swimming dookie until it bitch slapped me. It made contact on my left cheek ran across the makeshift Bridge that was created by my voluptuous lips and skyrocketed off right before it made contact with my right cheek.😃😃
I have a ring that was good for my grandma that I joked around if a partner ever asks me to marry them but they would have to size it to the right size because I love fantasy and it looks like a ring that has come out of a cursed lake. And if they can get away from me for longer than 15 minutes, I would generally be surprised.
With the engagement ring, i dont think she wanted it to be for ome specific amount of money but just for it to be pretty. It could have different stone than diamond which would make it cheaper, or this kind of diamond that they make in lab. I think not the price was an real issue but the fact that it was ugly.
That’s what I’m thinking. I could not care any less about how much a ring would cost, but if I am to ever be engaged, I just want it to look pretty and be long lasting. I think she would agree.
So the only "honorary" thing I did at my wedding....if you can even call it that....was asking one of my oldest friends to be the honorary maid of honor. Back story, my best friend had passed 7 years prior. I asked my other best friend Erica to hold that spot in honor of Robyn (who passed) and I'd do all the work of the maif of honor. She was still in my wedding though!!! She stood next to me as I married my wonderful husband and held Robyn's spot. She was never called the MOH but she definitely was next in line for the job. The 3 of us were insanely right growing up and she fully understood that Robyn and I had always planned for her to be the MOH and Erica to be my #1 Bridesmaid. Not even sure if that counts
This is my emergency bathroom story. I used to work at wingstop and after work we would all stay in the parking lot, drinking and smoking. Well, after closing, we wouldn't leave the store open so you wouldn't see us on camera going in and out for the restroom after hours. Luckily, I always keep toilet paper in my car, but my DNA is probably still chilling behind the wingstop trashcan in my city..
I would do an honorary bridesmaid or matron of honor if they had a new baby because I would want them to be acknowledged as a friend/family member worthy of the position but wouldn’t want them to feel obligated to participate in everything while having the stress of a new baby too.
54:04 I can't believe OP believe that's where she was. He's so sure she's being faithful he'll buy some BS "I blew you off completely because of someone random person dying that I didn't even know". Even if that's true, dead random people she doesn't know are more important than you are. Talk about having zero self respect for yourself.
Last story: OP is giving out some serious narcissist red flags; son didn’t tell op about changing major until a year later, isnt open about his life and friends anymore etc, this hints at op being very controlling or at least talking negatively about any aspect of the sons life that op can’t physically control or influence, son didn’t even introduce his gf to op, op is holding this inheritance as a hostage and last opportunity to control the son, no normal person would just change their last name without an actual reason, I think having this new male role model made the son realize just how bad op was as a dad, and op making the name change all about himself AND imposing ultimatums is the nail in the coffin. Good on the son for cutting that dead weight off and I’m sure op will fight dirty and ruin the last chance he has at a genuine relationship with his son just to “teach him a lesson”. Anyone else agree? Give me your opinions.
If you can’t respect your uncles wishes don’t give all of the money to your brother. there’s still one way that you can do both. Help your brother with things he would like to do and supplement them so that he can hang on and invest his inheritance. And tell your parents to mind their own business. The things you do for your brother or your and your brothers private information. things like treat him and his family to some vacations. Give him the down payment for a house. Set up college funds for this children as you do so for your own. But don’t split the money. And have a long long talk with your brother. It’s clear he’s a good brother.
The story of the youtube pranked brother,.. op should also file charges against the parents for not protecting her as a minor, seeing as he stipulated so much she did not want o be on camera it was against her will. She is also a minor so it’s a form of child abuse to force her to continue going on camera as a victim of these pranks. They also punished her for his prank but didnt remove the punishment and punish the brother when it was proven her grades were excellent. That’s child abuse too. It’s emotional abuse which since she was grounded then could be sad to be emotional abuse form the brother causing op to be confined unjustly. She could really f them up.
Worst Gift Ever: One uncooked steak from the grocery store to cook and share for our FIRST anniversary. Yes, we were poor students, but a single rose, even just a card and a free date like a walk through the park or along the river would have been great, or matinee movie tickets, not something he wanted to eat. No the marriage didn't last.
My husband sent my SIL and I to a jewelry store to find something I’d like. I picked a ring that was maybe $6000 which still felt like a lot. My husband kept the setting and chose a much larger diamond. It was16-18k when he was done.
The guy that hid the millions he won…I have never had that kind of money and never will but I hope he also has it invested well because it sounds like he may not understand how much the rest of his life is going to cost.
My husband didn't have to buy an engagement ring or wedding band for me. He bought me a $1k promise ring that I love to death. it was me 100% and I knew he knew me very well. I love it so much I refuse to take it off so I wouldn't let him buy me any other rings. He proposed with my promise ring. He wanted to buy me a new ring but if I won't take it then why waste the money? So technically he spent nothing and reused my favorite ring. A ring I haven't taken off in over 13 years.
My husband only had to pay for the setting for my ring because family heirlooms and they are less than a karat and I honestly don't even know how much they are to be honest but the setting was $1000 for white gold.
The cost of the ring is not something important to me, I just want it to look pretty and last forever. If the ring is less than $100, that’s cool with me I just want it to look pretty.
simple. 150 dollars are a solid engagement ring amount. because its the engagement ring not the wedding ring i keep forever. i would be fine with a 20 dollar emotional piece as its for me to keep collected and wouldn't it be nice just by chance to keep something no one is fighting over.
I think OP’s problem was less about the cost, and more about the fact that it was ugly and looked poorly made. It probably straight up looked like it cost less than $150, you know? And I personally think you should be allowed to have/bring up aesthetic problems with your engagement ring if you have them, since most people want wear them all the time.
My engagement ring is expensive. But he proposed with a Walmart 8.88 dollar ring he had carried on deployment. His parents thought he got too big of a stone. I wasn't asking for it and they said it was a 10 year ring ... Well we are past ten years and I have to be honest I would be upset if he spent that much on a ring now. So holding off to give jewelry is dumb in my opinion. I don't think it's how much you spend it's what it represents. If he had got me a simple heart shaped ring with no gems I would have been happy because the relationship is important. But then again I am low maintenance and don't wear a lot of jewelry.
Engagement ring is supposed to be 3 months of your yearly salary. It’s meant to be an exchange in case the man dumps woman before marrying her and doesn’t leave her without anything and having wasted her time.
Hell no, I'm not giving half. No way! If my uncle wanted him to have half he would have left him half. However, I'd probably gift the downpayment (and not expect to own any part). That, or I'd top up his part to an even $1mil, because it would be more fun to say "our uncle made us both millionaires" - that would be great!
I’ve only heard of honorary bridesmaids for siblings who are perhaps too young to participate in things like the bachelorette and all that. But they get to take pics and be in the wedding as a bridesmaid. Otherwise, that sister had NO excuse to be a b*tch to Naomi!
I don’t want a ring, I want an engagement ring tattoo! If I get divorced I plan to laser through it to represent the divorce, then, can tattoo over the lasered part if I remarry. I hate jewelry so, this is my idea!
If your partner likes the ring and is comfortable wearing it, it’s expensive enough. Spend what you need to fulfill this rule. Though if it gets more than say, two months rent, serious questions should be asked.
if i ever did get married... something off of Etsy cuz i like off beat things and a nerd.... so anything doctor who related or really unique and gothy.
When family has kids work is a time off from madness, especially when special needs child enters the picture. Wife needs more time off if she is using a bloody funeral as an excuse to get out
I think the husband is downplaying the 'old boss', like if they were close enough to go to his WEDDING, I can see how the wife would want to go to this man's dad's funeral! I mean, even if she didn't really know the dad, they probably met at the wedding? Like idk, but I wouldn't go to someone's wedding unless we are close friends.
My engagement ring was less than $200. But the stones are lab created and the ring is beautiful. I picked it out myself, I didn't want stones dug out of the Earth with slave labor. I love it very much ❤

SAME. I suspect the brother even told her to go ahead (with the way he took her side). Not cool at all
Im willing to bet it was waaay more than a couple times she said how much she loved it in the reddit post so i bet her husband really knew important to her. Hes a scumbag for not telling his sister to pay her for it!!
If someone asks for you to not use THEIR things you say, "Okay." That's it. The end. They don't even need to give a reason.
you a real one!!!
You guys are great. I agree with @LadyKris3345. I never went to reddit. But you give my daily guilty pleasure.
@@jessicatorres9501 i was banned. Lmao. From AITA community on Reddit. Trust me you are better off bc it's so toxic. These guys are still my favorite. I try to watch an episode everyday to get my fix still. Can't help I love the AITA stories and these 2 are the best! Lol
The most interesting things I have inherited are my ✨mental health issues and chronic pain✨
My engagement ring is a rat. It's silver and has black diamond eyes. What can I say call my husband knew me? 😂 It was less than 150, but its exactly what i want. I don't think the cost matters, I think it's her getting what she wanted that matters.
It’s the fact that both of them had similar values about this that made him the AH. She clearly knew something was wrong because it was lol.
John and Sam make so many sexual innuendos that I'm starting to think they're actually pretty vanilla in the bedroom. 😅
Best comment ever
My ring set was under $200. It looks like a tree branch with the knots being rounded moonstone. Gorgeous and economical lol
Ohhh do you might have a link or something? I'm looking for some inexpensive ones! Thank you and sorry for bothering you!
My ring is $20, it's the best thing in the world! Also, the best gift I ever got, my husband bought me a star in my favorite constellation.
OP'S brother had the same opportunity to have a relationship with his uncle. I don't think that he should get the same amount of money since he didn't.
Exactly. Uncle knew who was there for him. I think it would actually be disrespectful AF to give him more.
I picked my ring out of the "promise" ring section. It cost a little more than I wanted but at the end we paid $500 at a no taxes sale 😊
I inherited some of my grandpa's taxidermy tools, like needles and hooks etc. Also a couple goat hides and deer antlers. 😊
1:16 you just know she got hit with “Oh, well as long as you’re happy.” 😂🤣
john being a RIDE OR DIE for sam i love it
My ex-husband gave me a toaster for Christmas… a fvcking toaster!!!!! I accepted it but I cried to my sister… 😅
Husband spent $300, and that was only to replace 2 diamonds and resize it since it was a family ring.
Make the sister pay for that broken swing.
41:16- *AWW KITTYY* little tail just popping up
26:47 I think this is the only time iver ever had a story.
We didn't do engagement ring but we have matching resin cast rings with ruby and meteorite. They were 200 each and are lovely
But at least you know what "recap" means now.
@jirup3107 I do not see these as "recaps."
Have you ever watched a TV show that has recaps? They play highlights from the previous episode. Could you imagine watching a recap on an hour long show and them replaying the entire episode and call it a recap?
@@marcoponchoduo9368Well they could call them weekly roundups then. I get your point though
They’ve been doing this for months if not the last year lol
No engagement ring and 120 for both wedding bands. I paid
I 💩 in the empty fair grounds horse stall. It was winter and everything was locked.
My family decided I didn't need anything of my gmas when she died. I was 7. So I stole something (bracelets). 😅
HES WELCOME to come back.. but until the moment he realises hes giving up all his childhood over a stupid name change
Insanely tight**
At this point I'd take any ring. Lol. 😅
Last story: OP is giving out some serious narcissist red flags;
son didn’t tell op about changing major until a year later, isnt open about his life and friends anymore etc, this hints at op being very controlling or at least talking negatively about any aspect of the sons life that op can’t physically control or influence, son didn’t even introduce his gf to op,
op is holding this inheritance as a hostage and last opportunity to control the son,
no normal person would just change their last name without an actual reason, I think having this new male role model made the son realize just how bad op was as a dad, and op making the name change all about himself AND imposing ultimatums is the nail in the coffin.
Good on the son for cutting that dead weight off and I’m sure op will fight dirty and ruin the last chance he has at a genuine relationship with his son just to “teach him a lesson”.
Anyone else agree? Give me your opinions.
The Bottom G song! XD

Holy shit, that's pricey as hell. Husband sounds like a baller. Congrats girl! Lol

35:50 it's not tricky no one needs to watch or take care of an ex who cheated on you
The cost of the ring is not something important to me, I just want it to look pretty and last forever. If the ring is less than $100, that’s cool with me I just want it to look pretty.
S1 yes evil and stupid are a bad combination and in retrospect after time and healing pretty funny in some cases
"Eyonce thinks i am a golddigger" Beyonce!?!?!?!
I would not want a ring worth more than a 1000 dollars...i dont want a thief target on my hands
Love you guys and hope scope
I bought mine abs he bought his engagement ring I spent around $900 on mine he spent around $1.2k on his we’re very happy about it
Engagement ring is supposed to be 3 months of your yearly salary. It’s meant to be an exchange in case the man dumps woman before marrying her and doesn’t leave her without anything and having wasted her time.
About the second story, no offense but i am not giving shit to my brother😂😂 he should’ve been there.
That sounds pretty cool and badass. Tattoos are not my thing personally, but that is the coolest engagement “ring” I have heard.
my parents regularly locked me in my room as a a little girl at one point i needed to shit and so i shat out the window thru a hole
If your partner likes the ring and is comfortable wearing it, it’s expensive enough.
Spend what you need to fulfill this rule. Though if it gets more than say, two months rent, serious questions should be asked.
32 years old and i have never had to shit outside. However i have misstaken a fart from a shit in the saftey of my own home at the very least.
if i ever did get married... something off of Etsy cuz i like off beat things and a nerd.... so anything doctor who related or really unique and gothy.
When family has kids work is a time off from madness, especially when special needs child enters the picture. Wife needs more time off if she is using a bloody funeral as an excuse to get out
everyone loves Mary Poppins until u get hurt which sucks
I think the husband is downplaying the 'old boss', like if they were close enough to go to his WEDDING, I can see how the wife would want to go to this man's dad's funeral! I mean, even if she didn't really know the dad, they probably met at the wedding? Like idk, but I wouldn't go to someone's wedding unless we are close friends.
I set that plate of Frenchfries out on the table and you stole one, You must be a Serial theif!
The brother could give his brother some money , but not half - a third or a forth??
