For me it is the deception, he was really leaving her for another woman not because she was infertile! How can you trust someone who does that, again? When he realized what a horrible human this person is he tried to change his mind. But the fact that he tried to blame it all on her was the worst part. Again how can you trust this person and what they say? Good job not deleting his messages and calling her lawyer. This is in reference to the fertility story.

      @KawaiiPockyEater Год назад +16

Plus, maybe the infertility isn’t even her fault! It’s so common for the fertility issues to be with the man, and they may never know, and continue placing blame on the woman as it MUST be her fault cause there’s NO way it could ever be HIS fault.

I had the same thing happen when my father passed away. While it wasn't 4.2 million dollars, my father stipulated that his savings would be given to all of us kids that were biologically his, and my sister accused my mother of cheating and that I wasn't my fathers kid because I was much different looking a nd personality wise than my siblings. So me being petty, went into the bathroom, got some q tips, put each one in ziploc bags and named each one, then got the test. Every single one of us kids were my fathers except, you guessed it, my sister. She immediately quit speaking to me, her mother left me nasty messages and I finally told her and that woman off because this has been a thing since I was a child.

The story of the found missing brother really got to me. I was removed from my home as a kid with my sister and put into foster care. We were living with my uncle when we were removed. I loved that man. He was the only father figure I ever had. I think about 15 years later I was working as a cashier at a grocery store.
I the man down my line and though he looked familiar. I continued my work and finally got to that man. I rang him up and just dismissed The thought on why he looked so familiar.
I finished ringing him up and told him his total. He handed me his card with a smile and said “Here you go”
In that instant I frozen and stared into his eyes. I didn’t say anything and stared for what felt like a long always time. He was very confused until I uttered his name
    “Donny?”
It took him a moment but then he made the connection that I was his niece he lost all contact with all those years ago. His eyes lit up and he smiled which confirmed to me I just found my uncle.
I was so filled with emotion all I could do was cover my face and run away. My manager saw me bawling my eyes and running away. Caught up to me and I explained her what just happened as I can faintly hear my uncle doing the same in the line laughing and smiling as he always does.
So hearing that story about the brother who went missing all those years ago, god I know that feeling of reuniting with someone you lost at such a long age and have no idea on what happened to them. Those emotions of that first phone call they made are emotions of another world

My grandmas family were evil vile creatures. Her mom was severe bi polar and was an addict. She would show up on her parents farm high and about to give birth, she’d hve her baby and stay for a little and then dip out. Anyways, my grandma lived with her grandparents until they died when she was 11. Her aunts knew her dad. They told him that my grandma died at birth, they always told my grandma that her dad never wanted her and because of that lie she was orphaned at 11, ended up living on her own and got taken in by a family that let her clean the house in exchange for food and a room (they were actually incredibly good to her).
Fast forward to my grandma being mid sixties and someone knocked on her door. It was her Dad, the last living evil c*nt aunt told him the truth because she was dying and knew she was going to hell and she thought this could save her soul, I hope she burned. But my grandma got to have just over a decade with her Dad before he died.

As for the story about sending in fake resumes- I can't fucking STAND the job recruiting algorithms, so I flat out refuse to apply online anymore. I realized that those algorithms were a bunch of B.S when I applied online for a specific job, and they called me in for an in person interview. The interview ended up going great, and the interviewer even told me that I was the only one who followed instructions and sent in my application online prior to coming in for an in person interview. However, as the interviewer and I were wrapping up, she told me that she actually couldn't hire me even though I seemed like a great candidate. Why? Apparently because I failed the "personality test" that I took as part of the online interview, and the hiring software wouldn't let them hire me if I failed that personality test. So even if they thought I was a perfect candidate, they couldn't override the personality test.

    • @LisjeVal
      @LisjeVal Месяц назад

I have always understood that applications/resumes were simply the way to get in for an interview. If I could get the interview, I had a 90% chance of being hired - but off a resume? No chance whatsoever.
And those personality tests are SO flawed. Basically, they want you to guess their ideal corporate structure when you have never been part of it.
I even had to take a lie detector test for a convenience store job back in the '80s. I passed (and told some small lies to test its validity) but refused the job - I found something less insulting that paid the same.

25:39 I am mixed race but fair skinned, my fiancé (Pete, 20, Caucasian, redhead) knew this, i hid nothing, I am proud of my heritage. I had an unplanned pregnancy at 19. My fiancé and his family’s my were happy. I was very nervous as I had no experience with babies and was living away from any of my family. Pete (false name) was however the eldest son in his huge family he had already got 12 siblings and his parents were actively trying for another as they felt 13 was unlucky. We decided to get married after baby arrived to help with finances and so I didn’t have a bump on the day, could drink at the wedding etc. Also Pete’s baby brother was very unwell so his parents were excited for the family to have some joy to look forward to in the shape of a new baby and a wedding… jumping forward approximately 7 months, my son was born, fairly dark skinned, big brown eyes, thick and long black hair. The accusation came in right there in the delivery room, Pete said “that is not my son” and stormed out. I was an exhausted, hormonal, emotional wreck. Pete’s parents who had been waiting in the family room then came in, I was momentarily relieved feeling I would finally get the comfort, reassurance and support I desperately needed. So I was expecting a hug from globs mom but instead got a barrage of “how could you?”…”Who’s is IT?”…”my poor son”…”you need to find somewhere to live before you get out of hospital” etc, etc. my heart broke. My poor son was denied by his entire family and my family were in a different country. Obviously the wedding was off. Pete allowed me to come home for a couple of weeks to get other arrangements sorted. Pete completely refused to believe that he was the father and claimed to be “broken” by my infidelity. The first 6 months were hard, but the love for my son gave me the strength to keep trying every day. When Callum (false name) was 7 months old Pete finally agreed to take a paternity test. Obviously he WAS the father. He felt terrible and wanted us to go back to how it was before Callum was born and proceed to get married. I couldn’t, to much had been said and done, his parents had said the most painful things imagined. I was struggling financially so agreed to move in with Pete to co-parent only so our son had the support of both parents, also the help with baby care meant I could go back to work. So things were ok-ish with Pete but I had not been able to forgive his parents for how cruel they had been to my son and I. I still allowed them to see Callum. Pete decided to cut contact with his family for a while to focus on Callum and I. I still felt bitter towards them but tried to hide it. I didn’t want to influence his decision.
Things were definitely getting better every day with Pete and I, we were starting to feel like a little family, finally! One Saturday morning when Callum was almost 11 months old (2 days off) 😮Callum didn’t wake us up at 04:30 as usual, he was about an hour late, I went in and found him blue, not breathing, screaming for Pete I pulled him from his crib, Pete took him from me, and started cpr I walked ambulance, Callum was rushed to hospital and stabilised starting breathing for himself on the way. When we got to the hospital he went down hill again, long story short Callum was now on life support.
I don’t feel it right to post any more of the medical stuff only to say that 8 days later we were asked to make that decision no parent should ever have to make. We agreed for Callum to be a donor for all organs. The date and time was set . Our hearts were breaking, how do you say goodbye to you child like this, this was torture, every second was like an hour but at the same time I felt like time was passing too fast and that moment was approaching too fast, I wasn’t ready, how could I ever be? Pete was amazing and got me through, it somehow helped knowing that at his time of passing he was going to give the gift of life to others through his organs.
We heard that there had been a successful transplant of Callum’s liver into another child, a toddler actually. We were asked if we would be willing or like in time to be introduced to the family we agreed to this idea, and about 13 months later we travelled back for a meeting on what would have been Callum’s 2nd birthday. We met at a quiet room near the chapel at the children’s hospital where both Callum and the recipient had been treated, we waited in the room with some of the staff that were there to support us, they included a dr, case worker, a lady from the transplant team and a psychiatrist (I think) we only had a short wait then we heard, “they are here, are you ready?” Looking at each other, Pete and I said yes. I couldn’t breathe as our case worker opened the door and said “hello”and “please, come in” I couldn’t look up, I studied the floor for a moment trying to remind myself how to breathe, just then I a heard a gasp, followed by another, this one from the direction of the door, I looked up at Pete, his eyes fixed upon the people in the doorway, I dared to follow his gaze, to my shock, there stood his Mom and Dad holding his youngest brother. Our boy Callum had saved his own uncle, Pete’s baby brother!!!!!!!! This was when the families reunited and relationships began to me end. Even I wanted to spend time with them because being around Pete’s baby brother made me feel closer to Callum. Even though they were so cruel, they denied him from his birth, he still saved their babies life!!
(In the interest of private this may have been my story or that of a close friend, I cannot say but I can tell you it DID happen) Callum’s illness and subsequent passing as believed to have been a SIDS episode but that we caught it in time to resuscitate him, unfortunately his brain Ahmad been starved of oxygen for too long, he could not recover, also theses events happened almost 22years ago Callum would have been 24 on his next birthday had he survived. This story shows how much you can regret denying a child based on their skin tone/features. His grandparents still don’t forgive themselves for missing out on Callum’s life. And Pete’s youngest brother is still with us and heading towards his mid twenties, a milestone he was never expected to reach…..moral here, never judge a baby (or their mother) on the babies appearance. Looks are deceiving at times, and sometimes the babies race isn’t the surprise it’s sometimes the parents who don’t know their own racial heritage

Some months later, finds out it was all edited images from the husband's sister because she wanted her brother and friend to get together. And OP is feeling so guilty and getting all the slack from every side, but if she had come to the sub or anyone else with that much proof, everyone would have called her an idiot for having doubts that he was cheating. It's terrible how mostly woman are thought to be infertile ("unable to give man a child" 🤢), when statistically its mostly men. Quality of sperm, the number of sperm cells, it is a problem. Plus its easier to tests the men, so that should be the first step to go for, when you have problems with getting pregnant.

@@JessieDaBaddest1 @yoohsuke I will try to make this a short summary.
My older brother was 19 when he went missing. He had started to act a little strange the year prior, we chalked this up to lifestyle change after he graduated and still lived at home but had to work and pay his own way. Didn't really talk to anyone, cut off all of his friends, read the bible a lot (we're Jewish) so that was different, wore very bland looking clothes when he used to wear a lot of colorful clothing, etc. We both speak German and would always exclusively speak German to each other. My brother and I were best friends and very close after growing up in foster care and moving around a lot as kids. Everyone else in our lives seemed temporary but we always had each other.
I dealt with those childhood angsts a bit more destructively than he did. I was out partying and getting into trouble, and he just buckled down and always followed the rules. I was growing out of it when he went missing but the difference in how we acted that last year he was there had created a bit of distance between us, so it wasn't rare that we had a few days without seeing each other. When I was 16, I was a foreign exchange student in Germany as well and had only been home for a few months when he went missing.
One of my normal daily routines was to check the mail when I got home from school. My brothers and parents would all be at work or still in school, so I had the house to myself. This day, I checked the mail and saw a letter addressed to me, my brother's handwriting on the front of the envelope with no return address. I hadn't seen him at home for a few days but like I said this was normal with our schedules at the time. The letter was very obviously written in haste and had several mis-spelled words and grammar mistakes which was not like him at all, and the envelope had tape on it where it had been re-sealed (obviously not the first draft). The letter explained that he couldn't stay in that house forever and God had shown him that it was time to leave. It had instructions on where to find his car so that we could sell it and which book in his room to find the key in. His car was parked at a bus station, he did not take any of his things with him: no toothbrush, car, clothing, shoes- nothing. It was as if he just evaporated with no way to track him down.
In disbelief I went to his room and got the car key from the book he had placed it in, it was there. I re-read the letter a few more times looking for clues; nothing. It was then that his boss called, and I answered the phone. They were asking if my brother was coming in to work today because he was late for his shift. I told him I didn't know where he was and hung up. It became evident over the next day that he did not tell anyone he was leaving at all. My mother seemed more upset that the letter was written to me and not her and my parents did not contact authorities about it at all, didn't even try to look for him. I did file a missing persons report myself but since they could not determine any foul play and he was over 18 they couldn't do anything.
I spent years searching, I had to see every stranger on the streets face to make sure and I continued to check the mail everyday just in case there was a new letter, never did get another letter. My parents sold the house and moved away when I moved out the next year, which made me angry- how would he find us if he came back? When I got married, I kept my surname in case he ever tried to track me down. In November of 2012, I had just had my second child and was still at home on leave when I finally got a hit online with his SSN for a property out of state. I always tracked his identity to make sure no one stole it or see if we could find him. We were able to get in touch with the property owner, who was very shady and seemed to be hiding something. He said he was letting a group stay there for free in exchange for maintaining the property.
My stepdad got in his truck and drove to the property that night and knocked on the door for 3 hours before someone answered. He could clearly see my brother in the back of the house but was not allowed to talk to him. They did set up a time to meet for coffee the next day, my stepdad thought for sure that my brother would blow off the meeting, but he did show up. My stepdad recorded the conversation with his phone in his pocket (that was my birthday gift that year, hearing his voice for the first time in 11 years). The details of the conversation were odd and worrisome, he mainly wanted to know how we found him and seemed scared. With not much else he could do my stepdad drove home after that meeting. I started to research more about the property owner, but it wasn't until I was watching a documentary about cults that it clicked in a very eerie way. One cult in particular, The Jim Robert's Group, who officially has no name. Everything matched up: the way he was acting before he left, the clothing, the manner in which he left home, the letter, all of it. I was able to track down a support group for people who have family members in the group which was also a great resource.
The group is mainly nomadic, it seems that all they do is recruit but no one knows exactly in what ways the leader was exploiting the members. They are celibate and not allowed to marry after a large portion of the group left after having children back in the 80s. They are 'modeled' after the 1st century church, started by Jim Roberts an ex-marine when he came home from Vietnam in the 70s. They are not allowed to work, own possessions, a bank account, get medical treatment, have close relationships, they even have to change their names when they join the group, etc. If 2 members are getting close, they are re-assigned to new locations. This is often done by being instructed to hitchhike to a new location and wander in the woods until they find the group. They are told that their families are trying to track them down and kidnap them, and that if they are found they will lose their salvation. They are not allowed to read the bible themselves but rely on the leader's interpretation of the KJV of the bible. They hang out around college campuses to recruit and often have to dumpster dive for food, live in tents in the woods, etc. My main worry was that the leader was 72 in 2012, what was his endgame? Was there a new leader to take over after? or some kind of mass murder plan? The leader did end up dying at the end of 2014 and the group still seems to be doing their thing.
Every couple of years I find an article about my brother in some small-town paper in a new state but I'm always about 2 years behind his steps. I'm really not sure what he's been doing ever since Covid started, he doesn't seem to still be in the group but still lives in the same manner independently. I haven't had any news since 2018. He is 40 years old now. I still keep his first haircut and my mother has his old toothbrush just in case we ever need his DNA, morbid but yeah.

Third story, depends on how exactly it went down. Details are a bit sparse. Putting myself in the husbands position I am assuming:
    1) that I attempted to contact my wife many times over and she simply refused to talk to me
    2) had she spoken to me, I would have sworn up and down that I did not cheat, that I had no idea what was going on, and would have offered her whatever evidence I could procure.
If this was not the case, it changes things, but let’s go with this.
I would need to hear these things from my wife if there was any chance of reconciling
    1) I should have heard you out
    2) when you swore up and down you were innocent I should have at least tried to work with you
    3) I did neither of these things and am utterly ashamed of myself for doing so
    4) I will become a better person, someone who, under those circumstances, would have acted differently
    5) I am actively seeking therapy for myself to become said better person, to address the shortcomings of my character that lead to me not doing 1 & 2
I would need to hear all of these and be convinced that she really means it. Otherwise, there is no possibility of reconciling.

Ooo. So the story with the brother's party - here is what I would do. First, make reservations somewhere significantly nicer and more up market and romantic than where the party is happening. Get dressed up appropriately for the nicer place.
    Go to the surprise party.
Hang around long enough to go 'surprise, love u bro!' and then feign sadness and disappointment that there is not enough room for me after bro gets there.
Grab girlfriend, get to nicer restaurant. Eat a good meal, then maybe move onto a cute activity, possibly bang afterwards if she was also game for it. Put pictures of our beautiful dinner and activities (minus the banging) allllll over social media next morning, so its obvious to everyone at the party I was lying through my teeth, knew about the incorrect seating plans, and instead of getting upset had made my own plans. Give an explanation and appropriate apology to the bro, but no-one else.
Then decide if I wanted to just quietly leave the social circle, or blow it the fuck apart by spilling tea everywhere on my way out, OR use them as a platform to get into another social circle, THEN blow it up. Depends how much spare energy I got and how spicy I'd be feeling.
... for reference, I have been in a similar situation before, but instead of being excluded from a dinner I was excluded from a carpool in a beat up old rolys royce to a friend's 18th party. Just so happens my dad owned a 1986 Jaguar in outstanding condition, a la Shaun of the Dead. Me and another girl who had been excluded turned up in that fucker instead. The look on the faces of the other group still keeps me warm at night, 15 years later.

    Hi!
I'm the sister of identical twin brothers.
I can tell you three things.
    1. When one brother was single and the other wasn't, it was easy for the one with the girlfriend to be excluded from things planned by females. Why? Single guy getting a party from single women? Potential girlfriend points.
    2. It's easy to be excluded when you're a sibling of twins. I've been excluded plenty but people ask me for advice or questions about what my brothers liked or do or whatever because I'm close to them.
    It got annoying.
and 3. Being in the same friend group as your siblings is never an easy thing. People came to me about everything my brothers did and expected me to solve the problems.
I couldn't. It was beyond my control.

If it was my twin I would simply sabotage the surprise birthday party by surprising him with a super cool holiday/roadtrip that would start on the day before and finish on the day after.

Ummmm I’d be worried what else G was doing, I’d doubt it was just the keys. He could have been spending her money and blaming it on her memory!! Or planing things into her head like you did this yesterday or you bought me a car or you sold me your car etc so screwed up.

Being in the job market after major layoffs at my former employer, I have seen how messed up the job search and hiring system is. OP is doing some Robin Hood level bad@$$ery here. I love it, and I love that OP is writing about it.

Always put your resume on neon paper. I used to hand out boring resumes like normal people do (because once upon a time, we humans did these things in person, not online😂) but I was tired of checking up on a job I'd applied for only to hear that they lost or couldn't find my resume. This happened a handfull of times at different places so I started printing my resume on highlighter yellow and green paper, making sure everything was still legible. I got SO many calls back and job offers. I even got calls from places that had already filled the position but asked if they could keep my resume in the event another position opened up. The job I ended up accepting was one I delivered my resume to in person. I walk in, ask the receptionist if they were hiring, she says "no but you can always leave a resume" so I pull out a neon green resume and hand it to her woth a grin on my face. She looks perplexed and I just smile and say, "At least you won't be able to say you lost it". She died of laughter, shook my hand and introduced herself. I had handed my resume directly to the business owner who had just decided upon meeting me that she needed a secood receptionist (inclusing herself). I was hired on the spot, given a full tour and a brief rundown of the job. I worked there for 2.5 years, right up until I moved out of the state. That was a WILD job that nobody had been able to keep. After hiring me, boss lady stepped back and focused more on administrative tasks. I was 1 receptionist running 2 computers and 2 phones at the front desk of a well known, well established flower shop that had been handed down several generations. I became the everything position. When I wasn't running the front counter, I was delivering floral arrangements to events like weddings, funerals and residences etc. I was responsible for cleaning the entire store front and florists bay. I opened AND closed the store every day of the work week. I even started designing arrangements using flowers the florists had discarded and the owner liked them so much, she asked me to keep making them to reduce waste and sell them out of the glass display case out front! Don't even get me started on holidays like christmas, mother's day and valentine's day! That was the best and most demanding/hardest job I've ever had. If you want a job that feels good, go become a delivery driver for a florist because the people you deliver to are always happy to see you even when you surprised them or catch them on a bad day. Also, be prepared to meet with lots of very excited dogs when you deliver to residential areas. You are essentially a mailman with delicate flowers and water in a fragile glass vessel 😂 you also have to drive like you are transporting explosives that will detonate if you hit a bump too hard or take a corner too hard. Nothing as embarrassing as delivering broken flowers to a funeral, or a wedding for that matter.

This is regarding the twins.... Since the uninvited brother knows where the party is and what time the invited brother is supposed to arrive, I would contact my brother and say, "hey, what are you doing for our birthday?" Then when he mentioned his plans, I would suggest to him that we go together. Even if he doesn't mention what his plans are, you could "coincidentally" arrive there at the same time. Not only does this make the party for BOTH twins but imagine the looks on everyone's faces when the two of them walk in together!😲🤣

33:10 i cried so hard at the end, my twin brother is gay, our family hates him for it so he kept it a secret for most of our relatives.
He's my best friend and my only family (I'm trans and haven't tell the family for obvious reasons). I remember once, years ago he told me that he wanted to escape the family that he couldn't live here and i was in tears at the thought of my brother despair to have to think that the only way he could be free was far away from our relatives (parents, cousins and uncles are homophobic) at the time he told me the only thing that kept him from running away was that he didn't wanted to leave me alone with this scumbags and i cried so hard when he said that.
It sucks that it's so common to be left with no family just for who you are.
I confessed to him that i was trans a year ago and since then he always calls me his brother (which i appreciate).
Nowadays we are both planning on escape and never contact the family again, it hurts a lot. i Really love one of my uncles and knowing that when i tell him that i'm trans he's gonna despise me.
Life for LGBTQIA+ community is really hard, specially for the ones who don't have the support.
EDIT: sorry if i write something wrong, my native language is spanish and I'm not that fluent in english.

Dang, I would have been sitting next to a cop an awful lot then.. I speak Tsalagi (Cherokee) & would use it to confuse everyone in school.. took notes in it too just to piss off the teachers..😊

With the twins...I wonder if the brother has mentioned to his friends at some point that he has never gotten to celebrate his own bday before (bc twin) and the friends managed the situation terribly. (This DOES NOT make it ok, at all...I just can’t wrap my head around the behavior of the friends...it seems intentionally cruel, unless it’s a well intentioned misunderstanding...)

Like I actually put hours into my resume to make it look good, I even paid someone to help it look better and I can't get a single offer while this person LIED and got so many job offers.
