OKOP okay op okay storytime ok storytime
First story: that push is literally assault and battery. The Supervisor should be fire immediately for not acting and OP should be threatening charges if Karen is not fired.
Agreed. I suspect the heads aren’t doing anything because they figure the pregnant woman will only be there a few months before taking off for maternity leave, whereas Karen is not pregnant and not likely to be, so is a reliable worker than can expect to keep for a while. It is so not ok, but it wouldn’t surprise me if that was the case. Companies are shitty like that
Lawsuit! The company is allowing someone who assaulted a pregnant woman to continue working there.
1000000% assault and she has an eye witness
Yeppp thays what i was thinking, rwpprt them as an unsafe workplace
7:41 when you write a letter to managers and ask for bank president, bring a lawyer.
Bypass management and file a police report with the coworker as a witness.
This is a CRIMINAL act! How tf did they not do anything at the moment?! That supervisor needs to go too! And this is a BANK, they have to have cameras, I would be like “Roll the footage!!!”
And I bet it does have to do with the fact that she is pregnant. I would go after the bank for discrimination/retaliation against a pregnant employee
She needs to reach out to corporate .
"I have an ok op storytime"
"Ok" *keeps reading*
This killed me 😂😂😂
😂😂😂 I realize they do this because theyre saving storytime for the end but it still cracks me the hell up
@@abbynormal6183same 😂😂😂
They do them at the end of the
Conspiracy on the first story. I think the supervisor and the karen are sleeping together.
I thought they had some embezzlement scam together or something, but I might just watch too much TV. 😂
I fully agree. This seems like a witch hunt
Or the two are related.
For real, that seems to be literally the only reason why they aren't doing anything. Maybe they broke up and that's why Karen is so mad but she's blackmailing the supervisor into not reprimanding her for anything, threatening to out their relationship.
"that's like the worst person to throw hands with, a pregnant woman? she has the power of one and a half people!"
😂😂😂😂😂
Looked up the bank teller story the Karen’s family has been apart of the bank since it opened.
Its not just banks. Most offices are like this. And not to.sound like I'm downgrading my fellow women - but its worse when its all or mostly women working there. When I started working my first office job at 19, the 30 - 50 year olds that worked there were absolutely AWFUL to me and another coworker who was also young. Im now 50 years old and still have hard feelings about the treatment. The offices i worked at after that job also were incredibly drama filled - but in those offices there were not usually specific targets. Supervisors need to pay more attention and stop this bullying behavior before it gets so out of control.
It’s not degrading of its true. And sounds like it’s pretty common still tbh
oh yeah, I used to work in a school and yep, it was the women all bullying other women. The men would just keep to themselves and not talk to them unless strictly for work matters
I much preferred working with mostly men over women. Most of the women in my office settings were drama filled. It’s disappointing as a woman. We can be better than that.
1st story, all you gotta do is go above the supervisor and just drop the words lawyer/osha. Watch how fast they switch up lol
Conspiracy Theory: What does Karen know on the management that they don't want to be public? 18 years is a lot to get dirt.
Karen has relation with manager or has something on manager to control him
Maybe they take on so much stuff they feel untouchable. I’ve met a few older women like that who had bad attitudes.
it's a bank. aren't there cameras all over the place?
Not everywhere
not in offices like break rooms
One time while working for starbucks, i had an older lady (had to have had dementia or alzheimers) who yelled at me for 20 mins about how my name was Sloan and i slept with her husband and the whole church saw the sex tape... i was absolutely floored LMAO in agnostic and my name isnt Sloan so i was very confused. My manager and i just kinda laughed it off, even though we felt bad for her :(
That's so embarrassing though, even though you didn't do it. 😭 Reminds me of the time an old lady started loudly accusing me of stealing her hay as I sat in a crowded urgent care waiting room. Then I had to sit there waiting for like 2 more hours with all the people who had just heard me get accused of being a hay thief. 😢😂 I definitely didn't steal hay though, I didn't have a farm or animals or any use at all for hay.
I would call the police and file a report on Karen. Amy is the witness.
Thank you! I can’t believe there’s any hesitation
First Story ….
A few ways to handle it from the point of being assaulted
1. Document Everything in Writing
2. Collect Witness Statements
3. File a Complaint with HR
4. For each in-person meeting, always follow-up with emailed correspondence
5. Email both the Supervisor & Branch Manager discussing your concerns and follow-through regarding incident
6. Follow company procedures for incident report, maintain documentation.
7. Go to the hospital for a check-up & keep records
8. File a police report for assault.
If there is no action taken by the your upper management, you may be able to file a lawsuit as well. The documentation will also help if you decide to resign from your position & you want to claim UI compensation.
Edit: Oh yeah, and record the meetings if you allowed to based on your State’s recording & privacy laws.
Sophia's voice for the last Karen sounds just like my frog when I don't give him his mealworm fast enough
“She has the power of 1 and a half human beings” ☠️ sad I never used this phrase when I was pregnant 😂
I have been at the bank for 5 years and I can attest there is SO much drama. Always about client stealing or missing an opportunity and blaming it on someone else. But I am always here to hear the tea!
Side note: I’ve been a manager at every job I’ve worked at and then when I got into banking, I realized very quickly I will never want to be a branch manager. Dramaaa
My mom was head teller at a bank that got robbed once. She handed over all the cash from the front desk and told the guy to get out, and he did... luckily, since the REAL money was all in the time-delay vault which only she had access to.
During the second story (is when I noticed it anyways lol), Riley has this one curl that when he’s facing the camera just the right way actually makes it look like he has eyeliner on lol 😂
The story about the old Serbian Karen is absolutely accurate! I'm from Bulgaria (which is also in the Balkans, Serbians are neighbors), and old ladies genuinely see young people who go outside after 7PM and are talking loudly, or wearing hoodies and headphones and think they're addicts and deal H. Basically everyone under 20. :D It's ridiculous. My own grandmother thought I was sleeping around and dealing H when I went out to play Counter-Strike with some neighbors once a week when I was still in highschool. :D
This first story is so triggering for me on a personal level! I was attacked at work in front of EVERYONE by my boss when I was 3 months pregnant(which HE knew) and he wasn't fired for another 2 yrs! And yes you guys read my comment on another episode about this "situation"!
Story #1: I found out I was pregnant within 3 weeks of getting a new job. 3 days after I announced it, I was fired. The excuse given was that I had had a customer complain & since I was in my probationary period, they had to let me go. Mind you, I had worked retail before and have since, with 0 complaints anywhere else.🙄 Ik they used that excuse bc I had no way to disprove it.
She’s 19 weeks pregnant. That’s a felony to lay hands on her. She totally needs to press charges
I'm so lucky I had my job when I was pregnant all my coworkers were wonderful and the company gave me 10 paid weeks off. I couldn't imagine being treated like OP. I probably would have found a new job and quit!
As a former bank teller, I can confirm there is in fact a lot of drama at branch level. Luckily, I now have a back office position and it’s so much more chill. The drama is the reason I left. I definitely would’ve filed a police report if I was OP. HR will take it much more serious if law enforcement is involved.
I love Sophia's voices in this episode-- especially the Karen in the last story. ❤😂
I'm with the Aussie guy and his clap back! 👏
she should file a police report right away. If she waits too long, it may be late to file it
Flat, letting office, garden, solicitor…….def British.
As someone who works at a bank and was a supervisor at one point, I would never have supported that Karen after she literally assaulted a pregnant woman. Not to mention the fact that she is creating a hostile working environment for everyone else 😅. It’s wild that she is still working there. Also yes, bank workers love gossip lol
10:03 If i ran a company, that supervisor would be terminated from their position for that. Your job is literally to take responsibility for the employees under your supervision.
I love Riley's face at 21:52
Hearing you guys mention the Untitled Goose Game gives me yet another reason to love the OK Fam (as if I didn’t already have enough lol you guys are the best😊)
As someone with an autoimmune disease. I understand both sides. We do need better healthcare.
2:36 I love this close-up of our cutie Wormphia! 😂❤
The cameras should have been pulled to show OP trying to
Leave rooms and avoid the situation.. That would show her being the aggressor
For the PO Box story: I think it is very reasonable for OP to snap at her like that. You can only be rude and belligerent to someone so much before they clap back. Especially since OP was trying to HELP HER! lmao She truly sounds like a nightmare person, and OP honestly was much nicer about all of it than I would have been lol
I’ve dealt with screeching Karens at my bank job. I’ve literally been trained to never apologize or be too nice because they WILL take advantage of you. They can threaten to call whoever they want, management supports us and would be more than happy to lose time wasting customers like that. They also aren’t valuable customers on average so good riddance. We’ve had some be so belligerent cops were called, at a BANK. Sometimes people were so bold, it felt like a bar. Wild.
Sofia I love the bunny sweater 🥺
Yea being kind to your enemies is like dumping hot coals on their head. It’s a verse. Can’t remember which one
I know 4 friends who work for banks and they said that there’s similar drama to working in restaurants bc everyone dates eachother lmfao makes sense that there’s so much drama if there’s sex involved
20:45 when you are dealing with someone who is not in reality, you do not immediately try to orient them back to reality. They are in their own world, and you go to their world to see their views. Empathize, validate, and gently guide them.
That's how we were trained in the lock down/dementia units. Also works with my husband who has episodes due to his schizoaffective disorder and ptsd.
I was assaulted at work and now i work one day a week while she works full shifts
What’s bad is that there is no way they wouldn’t know this Karen’s previous behaviour after 18 years. There is no way Karen wouldn’t have done this before.
I worked at a bank when i was pregnant and i confirm everyone working there sucks and is miserable cause of their job
Management can not do anything if outside shop. But OP made a phonecall. Maybe that is why management did verbal repremand
Story 1: file a grievance against the company and file a police report. The fact that she assaulted a pregnant woman is just beyond the pale.
As a cleaner of a bank, I personally know there are cameras EVERY.FUCKING.WHERE. except inside the bathroom. Go directly to the CEO and demand the
Footage bc it's there and I guarantee there are cameras even if they say there arent
As someone who has worked in banking off and on for 20 yrs....and yes they act like they are still in high-school. Even Management....I ended up switching job fields
13:47 that is exactly what I was thinking.
I love the Sophia and Riley videos!!
The first story is wild. I wouldve have lost my mind (like psychosis). being gaslit by everyone wtf. Am I living in a genjutsu
I can confirm auto immune will make you mean and maybe a little crazy sometimes
49:10 onwards lololol she sounds like a troll under the bridge
She has a power of 1,5 people
The moment it happened you call the police. The longer you wait the more difficult it becomes to prove or take seriously. I would take to documenting everything going forward. Once new employment is found I would quit without notice
20:54 pepper spray or liquid ass 😂😂😂 both are great self defense
This supervisor is insane. I wonder if the only reason they aren't doing anything to Karen is because they were sleeping together. But she's so angry because they broke up but now she's using it to Blackmail the supervisor threatening to out their relationship so she's basically getting away with whatever she wants.
If I was OP I would use the pregnancy as a crutch, cry, & say “she attacked me a pregnant woman,” bc atp OP tried to do things the right way by reporting etc & Karen keeps getting away with it smh
It's highly possible that a lot of these "Karen" issues are caused by dementia or even a reaction to medications. At least for some of the stories presented here. People with dementia are often quick to anger and mistake people for being someone else. They can also be paranoid and think that everyone is doing something bad. It's very frustrating to deal with, but I think approaching these stories from that angle might provide some understanding and empathy.
It's called hostile work environment. She should always stay in camera view and document every interaction with her
I thought it was said that the landlord was for the neighbor's property and OP's rental had a management company. That makes this way worse as it's criminal trespassing.
oh my goodness. How does the first OP not have a lawyer yet? I definitely believe that OP worked for a smaller bank, I pretty much clocked it from the first sentences as larger locations would probably recommend a transfer to a nearby location to swap staff. I worked for a bank for years, and it wasn't as gossipy as other jobs I have had, but it was a combo of low pay/high stress. I listed out my responsibilities because I was forgetting things and there were 50 side tasks other the "here's your money" task people think of. (That's when I started job searching)
And yeah, OP did respond inappropriately by cussing at the older woman who shoved her. I understand she was mad, but unfortunately in a professional environment, it's not's the right thing to do because she gave her attacker more to work with and weakened her case.
Anyway, the very first thing she should have done was sought out a lawyer's advice to get the camera records and get the witness statements. The bank might just give her some money to get her to shut up and move on rather than risk the press.
But that's just something you learn through time, unfortunately. Trouble at work, you have to document and report and trust no one because it's business and not your friends. And you start telling customers that there's a room in the back that doesn't have cameras and you would never bank there because employees could just stash money there and get away with theft.
LMAO
there are always 2 sides and I am not convinced the person who wrote the post was being truthful.. if she was she would have been able to bring charges against her employer
You can sue for breech of lease terms and get your rent money back and move without giving 60 day notice.
I work at a bank, I’m a fuller time personal banker and do teller work as well. And I will tell you, it sounds like OP works at a branch and most branches now days work with skeleton crews. Online banking these days is used much more then actually walking into a bank. For the most part I see older folks who refuse to change and businesses. Most branches have a max of 10 people in them, and that’s actually a busier branch. My branch has 5. And things can def get tense. You have to imagine 5 people who are around each other for 40+ hrs a week. lol u see these people more then u see ur family sometimes. I have a coworker who I’m,..not particularly fond of and we butt head sometimes. I don’t care for her n vice versa. But we’ve never come to blows about it…yet 😂
The guy from last story should wave and smile at Karen every time he sees her. 😂
I bet Australia Karen just said it was never delivered and got it sent again.... hopefully with the right address this time.
If I get the wrong order and I can’t eat it or don’t want it, I’m absolutely going to say something but I’m going to be nice.
I work at a bank. It’s a national one but I work at a tiny rural branch. We get along great, and our management take on feedback. Some of that interpersonal stuff does exist but I guess the place and the people make it a good place to work. I just can’t imagine going to work to have a shit time, why do these people come in prepared with a bad attitude and make their own day shit?
Karen probably had blackmail on the supervisor honestly. Especially since Karen had been there for 18 years
The frist stoy: she should of called the cops and screamed for help for her baby. Then go to the hospital. Then the bank would have no choice in reprimanding the Karen and it would have been very hard for the Karen to change the story.
“Don’t feed the Karens.” You feed them by being nice instead of neutral. If neutral is too nice, be blunt.
I wouldn’t have ever told her a location to pick up the package until I got a gist of her behavior. After getting nasty grams like that I would’ve bluntly told her, “I’m sending it back. Don’t ever contact this number again.” Then block. Life is too short to deal with that, especially when I’m not getting paid to do it!!
I subbed solely for Sophie X Riley reads, only ones I watch!
Pregnant woman needs to file a police report. See who from the lying Karen side, will keep lying when under oath in court.
Let me clue you two in on something about Karen’s. To their core, they want to get something done their way. It doesn’t matter how illogical or nonsensical their tirades are. They strobe people with confusion and terror, so that they eventually give in just to avoid the conflict. She knew she had no leg to stand on. She was simply trying to bully that man into hand delivering the package for her
1st: OP tries to stay indifferent to the coworker, but she still says OP has attitude? I hate when people do this, as if my being flowery to you is a bace line? Or are they just imagining attitude? Unfortunately, I see this policeing of attitude a lot with women in the workplace as if they are children.
42:18 This sounds like it is in the UK.
The first story…..I don’t wanna raise my blood pressure. Is this real life?
In the first story, if Karen pushed her and she happened to fall, it can result in the death of her unborn child. File a police report because being pregnant has way more at risk
That second story could've been prevented had he just told the post office in the first place.
That grandma voice 😮
Sophia has the best Karen voice
oh im early... hi lil sillies!
Hi fellow lil silly
Hello!
PO BOX Karen: package in trash after the first yell at me on the phone. Problem solved
In some countries, it's normal to start a family at 21 years.
1st story go to EEOC!!
Aussie Karens are like US Karens, but armed with a bogan accent, and will throw snakes at you
Riley…the *love* of money is the root of all evil. Not money itself. If you’re quoting, at least make sure it’s an accurate quote. Lol
Caren is good security " camera"
Is there an update for the first story???
4wd is short for 4-wheel drive.
This company is not gonna punish Karen at all they are on her side. Change jobs as fast and possible
Maybe Political report will be neccesary in case Caren harass her at home
silver lining? more like flat lining
Ok. The garden part is childish on both sides. The fact that they had someone there to fix the problem yet didn’t open the door is CRAZY. It’s not like you always get head notice with places. Also, it’s weird that you waited till the end of the story to say he could have used his property??
Rare plant like canabis LOL joke
Ay yo the dude dropped dead...
