I like that in the latest cinematic they demonstrated what her strong point is and how she should be played. By the looks of it, she is good with isolating the entry duelist from the rest of the team so that she can kill the entry without being traded. The cinematic also showed what agents are good to counter her. Yoru, Chamber, and Omen can bypass her traps or escape easily if they get trapped. Chamber can also use his abilities if he gets ulted. The cinematic comes with a lot of good tips.
Another thing the wall seemed good for, in my mind, was post-plant, where the enemy attempts to push you instead of sticking the spike and is unable to get back to the spike regardless of whether they win their fight or not. This assumes the wall stays up after Vyse's death.

Chamber might a great counter to Vyse as his tp can get out of the wall, dodge the flash and his Headhunter (maybe) can be used in case his main weapon is disabled

These abilities are actually so powerfull for holding sites. 1. The wall makes movement duelists useless since the wall triggers upon entrying, making the team unable to follow and making the entry value wasted 2. The flash is self explanatory, the amount of setups and outplays you can do is insane. 3. The thorn trap is good for countering surprise floods since the thorns forces the attackers to retreat or push but get damaged. 4. And the ult.. basically free retake and free round.

This agent is a really good option to use with other agents at the same time! Very nice, Kayo and Vyse and Raze ultimate will be indeed very effective DEADLY cocktail :D . Can't wait to try it and make some nice clips for on youtube for it.
Vyse is definitely gonna be above average but whether she’s good or very good depends on some stats and minor details. 1. Does her flash recharge and how quickly? 2. What is the lag time between placing and popping the flash? 3. How long exactly does the wall last? 4. Can the wall be triggered by util e.g Clone, Dogs, Wingman? 5. Can the slow be broken/ is it invisible like KJ Molly or fully invisible? 6. Can the enemy see the wall’s mark or is just allies? Personally, I think these questions would define if the agent could be very good or just barely under killjoy and cypher.
I think her lowest low is a lot lower than "just barely under killjoy and cypher". Her slow not being auto-triggered like their util is a huge downside. It makes her much more similar to the barrier sentinels than to KJ and Cypher. She can't trip flank on attack, she can't solo hold a site with a trip long while playing short on defense like KJ/Cypher can. She can never give confirmation that an enemy can't be somewhere. The downside of that is hard to overstate. It's a very different kind of agent than those two for a lot of reasons, and IMO barrier sentinels will always be a little less annoying to play against than those two "true" sentinels, who can actually solo-hold a site. Was very much hoping for a third one of those, and we very much did not get that.

I'm going to try to ask different questions than some other top comments: 1) How does Arc Rose flash activate? Is it sound, line of sight, a field of range, etc? 2) From the game play shown, it seems like Arc Rose is hidden. Is there a way to find it based off sound like Cypher's trips, KJ's nanoswarms and alarmbot, Deadlock's sound sensor, etc. Is that similar for Razorvine? 3) How does Shear activate? Is it sound, or some else? 4) Can other abilities activate Shear? 5) Can a preplaced Shear be broken before activating? 6) How much HP does Razorvine and Arc Rose have? Can they be broken with abilities? 7) Does Steel Garden only affect the weapon you are holding when it activates, your strongest weapon, or primary weapon only? For example, if you only have pistols and the enemy Vyse ults you, does it affect your pistol? 8) What is the range on Steel Garden? Is the size similar to Breach, Fade, or Iso ults? 9) How long do you have before Steel Garden activates?
i got a few to test out vyse c ability plus sage slow, double slow+damage vyse c ability plus kj alarm bot+nanoswarm vyse c ability plus kayo molly vyse q ability plus sage wall
Srsly though imagine, chamber is unaffected by vyse, he can tp out of walled, he can use his headhunter if ulted, most of his abilities are just counter to vyse's abilities

She's a way more interesing agent than Clove or Deadlock. I love all of her abiliies which is designed to isolate and kill enemy duellists especially when they're trying to rush into site
Some kit interactions and things id like to see: Can vunerables deal extra dmg in the trap, and how much dmg can the trap deal if you stay in it for the whole duration Does Iso's shield break on the trap How thick is the wall and is there a max height we can place it, does it allow players to move through the wall How far can her flashes be thrown How fast is the activation time and flash duration for the flash, If the flash is placed on the other side of the wall and there is an enemy, does have a windup before flashing Can any of her util be broken How long does her ult's primary weapon restriction last for And lastly, how much is the util Kanga if you see this firstly, please test these out and secondly, love that your always the first person I can find to have these details up, ur a goated guy
Something about the long wind up time of Vyse's blind ability makes me think that you can destroy it in time before it flashes, like most other utilities of every Sentinel
Super super risky to try to shoot it instead of turning it. If you try to flick up to where it is, take the shot, but miss, you're just fully flashed. I assume it would almost always be better to not take the risk and to just turn the flash. If players could reliably hit flicks like that, everyone would be Immortal+. It ain't happenin
Cool things for you to test Sunday/Monday! - If you put your primary gun down right before Vyse's ult, can you pick it up and it still works? - Does Vyse's ult counter Chamber abilities? The trailer suggests his ult is countered, but is his Q ability also jammed? - Would be cool to see the damage of Vyse's thorns in combination with Clove's or Iso's vulnerable abilities - Kayo and Vyse ult combinations! Allied combo and an enemy Kayo ult after Vyse ult - Cypher and Vyse combos
1. does ult affect chamber guns and raze ult? 2. for the thing which does damage when moving, does it do damage if i) they crouch or plant spike ii) if jett updrafts/sage walls/yoru or chamber tps is things like wingman and boombot also affected? 3. does signature flash team mates? 4. does wall break sentinel utility if placed correctly? I have so many questions....
the main question should be that this agent is not gonna fill a sentinel role properly because she doesn't have a flank trip that covers our backs like cypher does i don't think she'll be used in VCT as much but I'm just going off on a whim here as the abilities shown are vague with information (side note I'm still maining her regardless)
Shear is gonna be crazy when it comes to getting picks at the start of rounds. Like, and indestructible wall that can isolate players and allow the team to peek and pick? This is crazy good.
The ultimate site control using agents with this now: Viper, Kayo, Vyze, Breach, and Fade. Blinded, can’t use util, can’t use primary guns, stunned, decayed to 1 HP, and knocked up into the air to find out where they are. Playing Post plant is gonna be absolutely wild lmao
Please test these: Razorvine + Any abilities that forces movement (I.g. Astra's pull and Breach's knockback, etc.) Razorvine + Dash abilities Arc Rose and Shear, Sage wall interaction Shear and Wall abilities colliding That's all I could think of for now.

I'm fairly certain that Yoru's clone will probably activate the wall trap considering that it activates KJ's alarmbot as well. But that could be something worth testing just in case
This was leaked 3 days ago on Twitter, the E abilitie had a 20 second cooldown and you can use it unlimited times, as far as the enemy doesn't destroy.
hope she is good. people have always been hyping up how overpowered agents are, then deadlock and iso being absolutely useless... gekko is the only one who actually made an impact in comps from the start
The fact that the 2 mollies of vyse is invisible, indestructible and can provide info is kinda crazy ngl You can know there location while they don’t know that you know their location as long as you don’t activate them?
so this agent is not supposed to watch flanks like sage/dl but I can prevent rush and normal executes with dive duelist pretty well. Her wall will basically block anyone trying to follow up after jett dash or raze satchel. Her ult can counter any odin site holds so every round she has ult/close to her ult the enemy team will be forced to buy another secondary which I guess is the only counter. Basically a better version of deadlock.
Looks like a fun sentinel to play by non-sentinel players, simple but still doing the job. Thinking of studying her up so I can just main Clove, Omen, and Vyse (i've realised they seem have to similar colour pallettes too, guess i am predictable)
they should make it so when you're in the vines, since you can only get damaged moving, u should also get a penalty from standing still. I was thinking that since her ult's thing is taking away weapons, maybe if you shoot too much, it could overheat your gun and you can't use it for a few seconds, so that the vines aren't rendered useless
it seems around the same reaction time as a Phoenix flash i think good players will dodge it easily but the fixing your crosshair placement will be the major factor in getting kills
Vyse is a very strong area denial sentinel and anti-flood sentinel but she can’t get passive info like KJ or Cypher. I was really hoping for a sentinel that can challenge those two in terms of info gathering utility, but Vyse seems much more akin to an initiator/sentinel hybrid where teammates would swing off of Vyse’s utility from a defensive position, whether that be on defense holding down a site or on attack protecting the bomb plant. Definitely very akin to Deadlock; super strong post plant and bad info gathering utility.
Pretty sure Sheriffs are just going to be the go to strat against the ult so idk if comboing with kayo ult is really going to be a staple setup unless you’re countering an enemy teams ult as well. Guess we’ll see soon enough.
Hmm i think and unless proven, Vyse's ult moreso disables the current gun that is equipped, so if the enemy has their secondary out instead of their primary then it could disable their pistol instead of their primary but unless we actually get our hands on the agent we can't say for certain
I think I have a new omen based team comp lol Team: Omen, Vyse, Fade, Yoru and Gekko Explanations: Omen: Can play off of Fade (no sound TPs) and Vyse (unkillable TPs) ults Yoru: Can play off of Fade and Vyse ults same as omen, silent TPs/ults or unkillable TPs/ults he can also ult to help Gekkos ult Vyse: Standard sentinel stuff, but can also support with ult, or combo razorvine with any lineup for insane counters Fade: Can scan for Gekko ult, can ult for Yoru, omen or Gekkos ult, line ups with sieze plus Gekko Molly hit hard Gekko: Vyse ult makes Gekko ult basically unkillable, only picked because he’s good initiator
I hope the visuals will be polished up before the release but I doubt it. The 2D vines are very disappointing, especially on the ultimate. Was it really so difficult to make them sprout up in 3D?

Vyse’s ult only affects primary weapons, not utility, so raze, chamber, deadlock, jett and sova can all ult and use their abilities

This agent is a really good option to use with other agents at the same time! Very nice, Kayo and Vyse and Raze ultimate will be indeed very effective DEADLY cocktail :D . Can't wait to try it and make some nice clips for on youtube for it.
Vyse is definitely gonna be above average but whether she’s good or very good depends on some stats and minor details.
1. Does her flash recharge and how quickly?
2. What is the lag time between placing and popping the flash?
3. How long exactly does the wall last?
4. Can the wall be triggered by util e.g Clone, Dogs, Wingman?
5. Can the slow be broken/ is it invisible like KJ Molly or fully invisible?
6. Can the enemy see the wall’s mark or is just allies?
Personally, I think these questions would define if the agent could be very good or just barely under killjoy and cypher.

I think her lowest low is a lot lower than "just barely under killjoy and cypher". Her slow not being auto-triggered like their util is a huge downside. It makes her much more similar to the barrier sentinels than to KJ and Cypher. She can't trip flank on attack, she can't solo hold a site with a trip long while playing short on defense like KJ/Cypher can. She can never give confirmation that an enemy can't be somewhere. The downside of that is hard to overstate.
It's a very different kind of agent than those two for a lot of reasons, and IMO barrier sentinels will always be a little less annoying to play against than those two "true" sentinels, who can actually solo-hold a site. Was very much hoping for a third one of those, and we very much did not get that.
Already mid, kj and Cypher are higher up, even brim is higher lol the new molly has a x condition to it too
@@Deifiable you could use her flash or wall as potential trips for flank so i believe she will be viable in that sense plus it seems shes not going to have a range problem like kj others with that problem

1) How does Arc Rose flash activate? Is it sound, line of sight, a field of range, etc?
2) From the game play shown, it seems like Arc Rose is hidden. Is there a way to find it based off sound like Cypher's trips, KJ's nanoswarms and alarmbot, Deadlock's sound sensor, etc. Is that similar for Razorvine?
3) How does Shear activate? Is it sound, or some else?
4) Can other abilities activate Shear?
5) Can a preplaced Shear be broken before activating?
6) How much HP does Razorvine and Arc Rose have? Can they be broken with abilities?
7) Does Steel Garden only affect the weapon you are holding when it activates, your strongest weapon, or primary weapon only? For example, if you only have pistols and the enemy Vyse ults you, does it affect your pistol?
8) What is the range on Steel Garden? Is the size similar to Breach, Fade, or Iso ults?
9) How long do you have before Steel Garden activates?

She's a way more interesing agent than Clove or Deadlock. I love all of her abiliies which is designed to isolate and kill enemy duellists especially when they're trying to rush into site

Can vunerables deal extra dmg in the trap, and how much dmg can the trap deal if you stay in it for the whole duration
Does Iso's shield break on the trap
How thick is the wall and is there a max height we can place it, does it allow players to move through the wall
How far can her flashes be thrown
How fast is the activation time and flash duration for the flash,
If the flash is placed on the other side of the wall and there is an enemy, does have a windup before flashing
Can any of her util be broken
How long does her ult's primary weapon restriction last for
And lastly, how much is the util

Something about the long wind up time of Vyse's blind ability makes me think that you can destroy it in time before it flashes, like most other utilities of every Sentinel
Super super risky to try to shoot it instead of turning it. If you try to flick up to where it is, take the shot, but miss, you're just fully flashed. I assume it would almost always be better to not take the risk and to just turn the flash. If players could reliably hit flicks like that, everyone would be Immortal+. It ain't happenin

the main question should be that this agent is not gonna fill a sentinel role properly because she doesn't have a flank trip that covers our backs like cypher does i don't think she'll be used in VCT as much but I'm just going off on a whim here as the abilities shown are vague with information

She is actually really good, its a combination of a sentinel and initiator.
This was leaked 3 days ago on Twitter, the E abilitie had a 20 second cooldown and you can use it unlimited times, as far as the enemy doesn't destroy.

so this agent is not supposed to watch flanks like sage/dl but I can prevent rush and normal executes with dive duelist pretty well. Her wall will basically block anyone trying to follow up after jett dash or raze satchel. Her ult can counter any odin site holds so every round she has ult/close to her ult the enemy team will be forced to buy another secondary which I guess is the only counter. Basically a better version of deadlock.

Looks like a fun sentinel to play by non-sentinel players, simple but still doing the job. Thinking of studying her up so I can just main Clove, Omen, and Vyse (i've realised they seem have to similar colour pallettes too, guess i am predictable)
I can just sense my future teamates using the ult on the enemies' full eco
they should make it so when you're in the vines, since you can only get damaged moving, u should also get a penalty from standing still. I was thinking that since her ult's thing is taking away weapons, maybe if you shoot too much, it could overheat your gun and you can't use it for a few seconds, so that the vines aren't rendered useless

it seems around the same reaction time as a Phoenix flash i think good players will dodge it easily but the fixing your crosshair placement will be the major factor in getting kills
Vyse is a very strong area denial sentinel and anti-flood sentinel but she can’t get passive info like KJ or Cypher. I was really hoping for a sentinel that can challenge those two in terms of info gathering utility, but Vyse seems much more akin to an initiator/sentinel hybrid where teammates would swing off of Vyse’s utility from a defensive position, whether that be on defense holding down a site or on attack protecting the bomb plant.
Definitely very akin to Deadlock; super strong post plant and bad info gathering utility.
Pretty sure Sheriffs are just going to be the go to strat against the ult so idk if comboing with kayo ult is really going to be a staple setup unless you’re countering an enemy teams ult as well. Guess we’ll see soon enough.
Hmm i think and unless proven, Vyse's ult moreso disables the current gun that is equipped, so if the enemy has their secondary out instead of their primary then it could disable their pistol instead of their primary but unless we actually get our hands on the agent we can't say for certain
