The fact that there is no animation to activate the flash is really good and super overlooked, it gives her a level of self-sufficiency that we haven't really seen in a sentinel yet. Imagine a post plant where you have a flash facing the bomb, you can swing as the flash pops and guarantee the enemy is flashed or facing away.
most if not all sentinels have this, deadlock, cypher, killjoy, chamber, and MAYBE sage have the ability to place something prior so it can be used later on its kinda what makes a sentinel, a sentinel
@@mantkle that's not what being self sufficient is, it's being able to create favorable 1v1's for yourself. The only other sentinel abilities that do that are a cypher ping (only if the enemy doesn't know where you are), and a chamber tp.

It is interesting to me that they give vyse a rechargeable flash that tells you if you hit somebody with it but took away skye flashes being rechargeable for that exact reason
skye's problem was thw fact that you can control the bird and pop it for info far away with this agent it requires to set the play or be close to where you place it not really why skye was nerfed

Multiple Skye flashes could provide significantly more info throughout an entire round than what was fair - checking areas you don’t have control of, and obviously functioning as a flash to set up fights. Vyse’s Arc Rose is restricted to one area alone, and its design encourages it to be used more for combat rather than info gathering.

people really underestimate the power of the shear huh. It can not only just be used as a wall for a site to stop entries but ALSO a wall to force enemies to not use corners as a hiding place since anyone can throw a molly at them after getting stuck.
I think it'll work really well on B Long on Bind. You can trap any attacker in that hallway if they're flanking from fountain with shear, then you can flash them and get a pretty free kill.
paired up with kj would be a diabolical combo, Vyses c ability paired up with the mollys would destroy anybody in seconds, imagine being shot by a kj turret while being already slowed down by the vines whist stacking the damage of trying to escape sed vines and nanoswarms as well as the turret. The alarmbot also pairs well with the idestructible wall since not only are they going to be vunerable but also forced to take a bad 50, specially if paired up with turret or other util. Plus, both of her ults are broken paired up togather, they cover a huge area and those who are not affected by the kj ults will have to protect their teammates with worse guns. Broken duo
@@yourbelovedautumn ig the reason could be that this sentinel has some initiator qualities? cuz i think the idea behind the cypher + deadlock combo that esports teams were experimenting with was that deadlock had a seize ability similar to fade, so that you could combo that with other util like a raze nade, and a wall that would stop ct from flooding in. so maybe op was relating vyse to that meta. thats the idea anyway, i dont think its practical since that would also imply that when you have double senti, you better hope that every site is held down to a crisp. otherwise, retaking would be impossible without the 2nd initiator/controller.

Vyce does seem quite useful for defending, but on attacking it does seem harder to watch flank, similar to deadlock. The shear ability is an option but like u said its better for using on post plant. Two sentinel comps might become more prevalent, like cypher+vyce where one gathers info and the other is more focuised on stopping the push.

I think people are forgetting about mollies when they talk about her razor wire because combine mollies with Vyse’s razor during pre-plant on the bomb when they try to step away from the mollie they’ll get hurt along with the mollie and her razor wire lasts longer than most of the mollies so if they try to re enter they’ll get damaged again if they weren’t already damaged by the mollie and razor wire so that’ll be really good for attackers side tbh so I’d probably put Vyse with Brim or any character with mollies but I think brim is better since his mollie lasts for like 8 seconds
Also I forgot to say it’s even better that there is two razor wires so she can just put them for longer if one runs out and alsooo if you come to them and they try to tap fake it and move out boom damage damage damage so that’s a plus and yeah so many other things that people might find out

Can we talk about that fact that you can choose on which side of the Wall you want to place the flash. 7:23 You can See the she wanted to Place the rose first on the inner Wall and the Shell Switches and the flash is outside of the Wall.
Another thing to mention - the razor wire are projectiles so you can chuck them into the opponent spawn to slow down a rotate by 20 seconds (imagine Bind CT). Also her wall isnt visible until you get close to it, so attackers can’t see where you placed it early on. Overall really powerful stuff.
I think the 7 seconds on top of being very visible won't be a problem for most good players. It tells you they are there so knowing the map you could just predict their hiding spots. On top of just one person passing the rest could just rotate without any punishment because you don't know if they there

Yoru seems like a prob decent counter to her: his clone can trigger the wall so you dont get stuck on the other side after entry, and he can easily TP in or out of site whenever he has 1 of his 2 TPs up
I guess you could slap chamber in instead of Deadlock, but considering Vyse already does some stuff similar to sage and healing is just more comfort rather than nescessary he could replace her as well
The one flaw that I kinda find with vyse is if you setup your util on one site and then you realize the enemy team actually pushed the opposite site of you. You can’t reclaim all your util to the other bombsite where the enemies are except your flash. Does anyone else notice that
Hear me out… this could theoretically lead to a team comp of Raze or some duelist, Omen or some controller, Vyse, Cypher, and DL to make it almost impossible to retake against. Omen and Vyse flash + raze util and DL nades to get onto sites. Cypher trips, cams, and Vyse flash in order to gather info for the team.
Actually i think her c ability, it'd ve good to put on the spike on attack for post plant. Most people fake defuse at least two times. So, if they tap, you activate your razor thorn net, they cant strafe or get off spike without getting damage so it gives you an advantage.
She is pretty strong defending a site, my only issue with her is that usually a sentinel will have a way to stop/spot flankers: kj turret/cyp wires/chamb trap/deathlock sensors/sage wall(?) With vyse there is not such thing, even her wall will only activate AFTER the enemy passes through and you will probably will want to use the wall to take space. I don't see how she will be used in pro play where the main thing is to gather info, will pro teams be going double sentinel 1 smoke and 1 initiator? I doubt it but we will have to see
Well the DL Sensor isnt good to watch flanks, 'cause you can just shift past it and Sages wall is in no way a thing to stop flanks. KJ turret/alarmbot have a range, so its only good in a area. Vyse is a different type of Sentinel (more initiator than pure sentinel), so I get why she doesnt have a thing to watch flanks good.
Nah she definitely gonna get alot of play in vct , the flash is insanely good , the fact that u can get info from it with 20 sec cooldown AND u can take it back without waiting for cooldown and through the walls , don’t think she is not that good to compete with the other sentinels

I think a slight buff to the slowness of the vines and a visual upgrade to the ultimate is needed. I think its very dumb that you can flash the enemy, pick up the util, place it elsewhere, flash again, pick it up and repeat (maybe 3+ times) and get INFO out of it, but Skye having a 40 second regenerating flash that also gets info is bad. I understand its stationary but cmon, just give us back our regenerating flash and make it 60 seconds or something.
I feel like the flash is gonna get nerfed like chamber's trap where it'll have a radius to be activated and deactivated. The vineswarm does seem like a good ability that might not have any changes. The wall will probably get a nerf where it'll be breakable like a sage wall just a bit more harder to break. And the ultimate might get a buff where it'll probably activate in a shorter time since it seems pretty slow for now.
I hope that this concept of more universal agents won’t kill previous agents with time and addition of new even more universal and powerful characters so that balancing all of this roster becomes a menace
I think the razor vines r good as just a deterrent. It’s not a pure damage ability but it makes a subconscious area that people won’t want to willingly walk through

El agente no esta "broken" porque la flash es muy facil de esquivar y el que de info pues es normal ya que vyse es un sentinel y ya estamos acostunbrados a eso por los cables o camara de cyher, bot de chamber, etc la pared no es tan complicado simplemente se le busca la manera de jugar, ejemplo: yo juego yoru entonces lanzo el clon primero y asi como el clon ayuda a pasar por los cables de cypher, quitara la pared. el aoe del suelo es sinplemente una granada de kj. y su ulti es "pobre" porque si el site es "abierto" sabiendo que vyse tiene ulti yo me compraria una sherif o ghost si no soy un agente como chanber que puede usar habilidades para matar y simplemente darle HS a la vyse, si es un site "cerrado" compro una shorty y insta kill a la vyse. Resumen; Vyse es incluso peor que el harbor o igual en mi opinion, va a necesitar ser buffeada para ser rentable en competitivas. -ahora si lo pickean siempre y cuanto lo allan estudiado esta bien pues es nuevo y por eso la gente no sabra como jugarle (por eso dicen que esta "roto" cuando no lo es) pero ya un tiempo despues de que alla salido si lo pickean yo dogeo (dodge) sin pensarlo porque va a trolear y es una tonteria de agente.
I think people are underestimating razor vine a lot. What makes it really strong is when you pair her with other agents. Clove, viper, gekko, astra grav well, would make it really strong. Now lets say you mix it with a flash, most people wont even know which way to run to get out of the vines and most people wont wanna stand still while flashed
A sentinel should be overpowered since they have to hold a site on their own. I think after cypher and kj riot have released a good third option in that category
Sentinels probably shouldn’t be OP, but the competition compared to Cypher and KJ is null, nothing else has been able to act as competition for them. Im hoping people will pick up Vyse because i feel that she can moreso break the current dive meta as opposed to simply holding down a site

Vyse can hold and push alone. She is like child of early Skye and Sage. Weaker than both but can do 2 job. I wonder how long will it take to Riot to nerf her.

Im wondering how her wall works with verticality? Seems like you only need to connect the bottom of the wall to the ground but does the top of elevated boxes count as a box? Like can i put it in hookah on top of the box or on the box in a short? Will the wall extend downward till everything is covered or will it just be a straight line where the bottom part might have a gap underneath? If you read this please try to cover this in ur mythbusting series (theyre always useful when new agents come out)
i’m so excited to have another sentinel, but i think she’s going to struggle as a solo sentinel from the lack of “trips” ig, compared to cypher or kj that have great kits for gathering info that are more autonomous. doesn’t mean she has to be like them, she’s just going to require a bit more intuition.
Another question about the ult I would have is what happens when a player ONLY has a pistol, so its useless against an eco? Does it simply have no effect, or does it jam the strongest weapon they have on hand? I assume based on the fact it keeps jamming whatever is in your primary slot, it never effects pistols?
4:23 ascent clip just brings to light how broken the flash is. If setup before round it is 0 equip time, 0 reequip time and can be in a perfect oneway flash spot that blinds the entire site. Just think of jett dash pre-nerf where it can be used spontaneously and requires 0 setup time in the moment, rather you set it up reround
that flash is definitely gonna get nerfed similarly to how Cypher's camera mechanic. my prediction is that they're gonna add a range to how far you can retrieve it and they will increase it's cooldown too
Vyse and Cypher are going to be a demonic combo on defense, you just put the wall and if they try to break a trip from an angle, they are stuck and ded
another useful way to utilize the ult is by keeping it. If you know you're playing against a team that pay attantion, you can keep your ult for a couple of rounds, so the enemy need to keep buying a pistol like sheriff and wasting some money each rounds
The only real issue I see with her kit is that it doesn’t give flank watch or hard info (like a cypher trip or KJ turret/alarm bot), meaning that (besides no sentinel maps like bind), she’s competing with characters like viper, kayo, breach and gekko for the flex slot in pro team comps. This means she won’t be good on maps like ascent, icebox or haven (possibly lotus too) because teams will have to sacrifice something for her, deadlock-style
It would be nice if you can place the flash anywhere on the map meaning outside as well, so it won’t be easily spotted and can be used similarly to yoru because some of the best yoru flashes r outside of the map.
I think it might even be better to keep the ult if you already killed a few enemies to force them to buy secondary’s. tho if it is the deciding factor you should still use it.
I do think she will be pretty balanced, although i do think her mollies are gonna be on the weaker side. Theyll be good to stop pushes. But the chip damage is kinda iffy bc of the fact it only does damage while ypure moving through it. Her wall seems cool and is good to isolate fights and her flash is a good combo with the wall.

The thorns may not seem so effective, but in combination with a Raze nade, Breach aftershock, Molly or a few other abilities and things are going to get ugly. It buffs a LOT of other utility from other agents. In coordinated play, she is looking very overpowered. Casual play, less so. The flash cool down is definitely getting nerfed, 20 seconds is madness.

Razorvine might not do much damage, but Phantom players can 1-tap at any distance off it. And with a 10s duration and large radius, you're applying that to most of the team.
I believe the first thing theyll nerf after release is the flash. Maybe increase CD., and need to be within range to pick up the flash or something like that

As a yoru main, I’m wondering if it can be triggered by the yoru clone as every enemy ability except a couple notable exceptions affect the yoru clone but every single sentinel ability can be baited out with it.
I just don’t see the agent being used in pro play, I feel like it will be similar to deadlock where it won’t really be that crazy until buffs later but a cool agent with a bit of uniqueness.
Wait for her ultimate, couldn't you just swap to your pistol while the windup is happening so that it gets jammed and then just swap back to your rifle?
the only change I see it going through is maybe a longer cd, its strong yea but it can be broken and once its broken i don't think you get it back plus it seems easy to turn and bait out, its like a breach flash. and I don't really see the info gathering part to be as strong as people are saying it is it doesn't have the range like a skye flash did so the only info it could really give is of anyone's close. could be wrong but thats just how it feels to me

as a yoru main can’t wait to go past the wall to activate it while tping out just to annoy the vyse players
Can we talk about that fact that you can choose on which side of the Wall you want to place the flash. 7:23 You can See the she wanted to Place the rose first on the inner Wall and the Shell Switches and the flash is outside of the Wall.
Another thing to mention - the razor wire are projectiles so you can chuck them into the opponent spawn to slow down a rotate by 20 seconds (imagine Bind CT). Also her wall isnt visible until you get close to it, so attackers can’t see where you placed it early on. Overall really powerful stuff.
vyse wall can literally block an entire entry point, good for post plant defense or defense in general
I think the 7 seconds on top of being very visible won't be a problem for most good players. It tells you they are there so knowing the map you could just predict their hiding spots. On top of just one person passing the rest could just rotate without any punishment because you don't know if they there

Yoru seems like a prob decent counter to her: his clone can trigger the wall so you dont get stuck on the other side after entry, and he can easily TP in or out of site whenever he has 1 of his 2 TPs up
If they buy a sheriff when you are close to vyse ult then the enemy’s economy would be destroyed if the did it multiple rounds in a row
Jump-peeking can bait shear. It is pretty difficult though, as you have to do it in an incredibly small amount of time. (You'll most likely get stuck)
The wall might not be that strong if drones/ dogs from initiators activate it early
i just can't wait for full sentinel comps
kj, cypher, deadlock, vyse, sage would be very horrible to play against

Passive abilities are the reason sentinels are obnoxious to play against. Every other role has to time their abilities but sentinels

I guess you could slap chamber in instead of Deadlock, but considering Vyse already does some stuff similar to sage and healing is just more comfort rather than nescessary he could replace her as well
The one flaw that I kinda find with vyse is if you setup your util on one site and then you realize the enemy team actually pushed the opposite site of you. You can’t reclaim all your util to the other bombsite where the enemies are except your flash. Does anyone else notice that

Hear me out… this could theoretically lead to a team comp of Raze or some duelist, Omen or some controller, Vyse, Cypher, and DL to make it almost impossible to retake against. Omen and Vyse flash + raze util and DL nades to get onto sites. Cypher trips, cams, and Vyse flash in order to gather info for the team.
Actually i think her c ability, it'd ve good to put on the spike on attack for post plant. Most people fake defuse at least two times. So, if they tap, you activate your razor thorn net, they cant strafe or get off spike without getting damage so it gives you an advantage.
I feel like the biggest drawback of the flash is that you only get one of them. It can do everything the others can and better, but only once.

She is pretty strong defending a site, my only issue with her is that usually a sentinel will have a way to stop/spot flankers: kj turret/cyp wires/chamb trap/deathlock sensors/sage wall(?) With vyse there is not such thing, even her wall will only activate AFTER the enemy passes through and you will probably will want to use the wall to take space. I don't see how she will be used in pro play where the main thing is to gather info, will pro teams be going double sentinel 1 smoke and 1 initiator? I doubt it but we will have to see
Well the DL Sensor isnt good to watch flanks, 'cause you can just shift past it and Sages wall is in no way a thing to stop flanks. KJ turret/alarmbot have a range, so its only good in a area. Vyse is a different type of Sentinel (more initiator than pure sentinel), so I get why she doesnt have a thing to watch flanks good.

Nah she definitely gonna get alot of play in vct , the flash is insanely good , the fact that u can get info from it with 20 sec cooldown AND u can take it back without waiting for cooldown and through the walls , don’t think she is not that good to compete with the other sentinels

I think a slight buff to the slowness of the vines and a visual upgrade to the ultimate is needed. I think its very dumb that you can flash the enemy, pick up the util, place it elsewhere, flash again, pick it up and repeat (maybe 3+ times) and get INFO out of it, but Skye having a 40 second regenerating flash that also gets info is bad. I understand its stationary but cmon, just give us back our regenerating flash and make it 60 seconds or something.

The cooldown might need to be 30 seconds instead of 20 but the lfahs looks very cool and strong
I feel like the flash is gonna get nerfed like chamber's trap where it'll have a radius to be activated and deactivated.
The vineswarm does seem like a good ability that might not have any changes.
The wall will probably get a nerf where it'll be breakable like a sage wall just a bit more harder to break.
And the ultimate might get a buff where it'll probably activate in a shorter time since it seems pretty slow for now.

Another thing to note is that you can't break her flash once the windup of the flash starts
I think the razor vines r good as just a deterrent. It’s not a pure damage ability but it makes a subconscious area that people won’t want to willingly walk through
Razorvine + Poison orb or any decay ability is deadly if they push through it.

El agente no esta "broken" porque la flash es muy facil de esquivar y el que de info pues es normal ya que vyse es un sentinel y ya estamos acostunbrados a eso por los cables o camara de cyher, bot de chamber, etc
la pared no es tan complicado simplemente se le busca la manera de jugar, ejemplo: yo juego yoru entonces lanzo el clon primero y asi como el clon ayuda a pasar por los cables de cypher, quitara la pared.
el aoe del suelo es sinplemente una granada de kj.
y su ulti es "pobre" porque si el site es "abierto" sabiendo que vyse tiene ulti yo me compraria una sherif o ghost si no soy un agente como chanber que puede usar habilidades para matar y simplemente darle HS a la vyse, si es un site "cerrado" compro una shorty y insta kill a la vyse.
Resumen; Vyse es incluso peor que el harbor o igual en mi opinion, va a necesitar ser buffeada para ser rentable en competitivas.
-ahora si lo pickean siempre y cuanto lo allan estudiado esta bien pues es nuevo y por eso la gente no sabra como jugarle (por eso dicen que esta "roto" cuando no lo es) pero ya un tiempo despues de que alla salido si lo pickean yo dogeo (dodge) sin pensarlo porque va a trolear y es una tonteria de agente.

I think people are underestimating razor vine a lot. What makes it really strong is when you pair her with other agents. Clove, viper, gekko, astra grav well, would make it really strong. Now lets say you mix it with a flash, most people wont even know which way to run to get out of the vines and most people wont wanna stand still while flashed
A sentinel should be overpowered since they have to hold a site on their own. I think after cypher and kj riot have released a good third option in that category
Sentinels probably shouldn’t be OP, but the competition compared to Cypher and KJ is null, nothing else has been able to act as competition for them. Im hoping people will pick up Vyse because i feel that she can moreso break the current dive meta as opposed to simply holding down a site

U correcting me saying sentinel shouldn't be OP, well guess what, they are OP which is what game needs
@@varuhash50 sentinals should be op. Because most of their abilities are useless while taking sides. If you can't hold side alone, player will choose other sentinal. This is why deadlock had so much suffering. She was hybrid but sucked at both of these. I think Vyse is what Riot had in mind when they were designing Deadlock. Good working hybrid. Vyse can hold and push alone. She is like child of early Skye and Sage. Weaker than both but can do 2 job. I wonder how long will it take to Riot to nerf her.

Im wondering how her wall works with verticality? Seems like you only need to connect the bottom of the wall to the ground but does the top of elevated boxes count as a box? Like can i put it in hookah on top of the box or on the box in a short? Will the wall extend downward till everything is covered or will it just be a straight line where the bottom part might have a gap underneath? If you read this please try to cover this in ur mythbusting series (theyre always useful when new agents come out)
i’m so excited to have another sentinel, but i think she’s going to struggle as a solo sentinel from the lack of “trips” ig, compared to cypher or kj that have great kits for gathering info that are more autonomous.
doesn’t mean she has to be like them, she’s just going to require a bit more intuition.
Another question about the ult I would have is what happens when a player ONLY has a pistol, so its useless against an eco? Does it simply have no effect, or does it jam the strongest weapon they have on hand? I assume based on the fact it keeps jamming whatever is in your primary slot, it never effects pistols?

4:23 ascent clip just brings to light how broken the flash is. If setup before round it is 0 equip time, 0 reequip time and can be in a perfect oneway flash spot that blinds the entire site. Just think of jett dash pre-nerf where it can be used spontaneously and requires 0 setup time in the moment, rather you set it up reround
that flash is definitely gonna get nerfed similarly to how Cypher's camera mechanic. my prediction is that they're gonna add a range to how far you can retrieve it and they will increase it's cooldown too
Vyse and Cypher are going to be a demonic combo on defense, you just put the wall and if they try to break a trip from an angle, they are stuck and ded
another useful way to utilize the ult is by keeping it. If you know you're playing against a team that pay attantion, you can keep your ult for a couple of rounds, so the enemy need to keep buying a pistol like sheriff and wasting some money each rounds
The only real issue I see with her kit is that it doesn’t give flank watch or hard info (like a cypher trip or KJ turret/alarm bot), meaning that (besides no sentinel maps like bind), she’s competing with characters like viper, kayo, breach and gekko for the flex slot in pro team comps. This means she won’t be good on maps like ascent, icebox or haven (possibly lotus too) because teams will have to sacrifice something for her, deadlock-style
It would be nice if you can place the flash anywhere on the map meaning outside as well, so it won’t be easily spotted and can be used similarly to yoru because some of the best yoru flashes r outside of the map.
Combining vines + gekko molly is gonna be nuts haha
I think it might even be better to keep the ult if you already killed a few enemies to force them to buy secondary’s.
tho if it is the deciding factor you should still use it.

I do think she will be pretty balanced, although i do think her mollies are gonna be on the weaker side. Theyll be good to stop pushes. But the chip damage is kinda iffy bc of the fact it only does damage while ypure moving through it. Her wall seems cool and is good to isolate fights and her flash is a good combo with the wall.
Sorry if this was mentioned in the video but is the shear wall destructible pre activation? Or is it something you’ll have to bait out by like jump peeking or smth.

The thorns may not seem so effective, but in combination with a Raze nade, Breach aftershock, Molly or a few other abilities and things are going to get ugly.
It buffs a LOT of other utility from other agents.
In coordinated play, she is looking very overpowered. Casual play, less so.
The flash cool down is definitely getting nerfed, 20 seconds is madness.

Razorvine might not do much damage, but Phantom players can 1-tap at any distance off it. And with a 10s duration and large radius, you're applying that to most of the team.
I believe the first thing theyll nerf after release is the flash. Maybe increase CD., and need to be within range to pick up the flash or something like that

As a yoru main, I’m wondering if it can be triggered by the yoru clone as every enemy ability except a couple notable exceptions affect the yoru clone but every single sentinel ability can be baited out with it.
I just don’t see the agent being used in pro play, I feel like it will be similar to deadlock where it won’t really be that crazy until buffs later but a cool agent with a bit of uniqueness.

the only change I see it going through is maybe a longer cd, its strong yea but it can be broken and once its broken i don't think you get it back plus it seems easy to turn and bait out, its like a breach flash. and I don't really see the info gathering part to be as strong as people are saying it is it doesn't have the range like a skye flash did so the only info it could really give is of anyone's close. could be wrong but thats just how it feels to me
i think that if they pick up the opponents primary weapons when vyse ulted, they should still be jammed till time runs out
