- Hey friends! here's the reasons why I quite my previous career path, and made a new one recently. This is me opening up about the hard truths I learned. Enjoy!
Instagram: www.instagram....
Always appreciate your honesty and transparency!!! We haven’t had a brick and mortar home since April 2017. It’s definitely not easy! Happy you are finding some balance!! Happy for you! It’s not all about money! Life’s too short for that! Taking care of yourself physically, mentally, and emotionally has to be top priority! Thanks for sharing your experience and thoughts.
Thankyou for your thoughtful words!! I think it’s totally a younger mindset we had when we thought all that mattered was money. Sacrifice it all!!!! But eh it’s a little bit of everything we see now. 🫶I hope you guys are at the right place for you right now too 💜☺️
I am so happy to come across your channel Natasha
Congratulations Natasha! There's so many paths in trucking. Reefer is good money stay safe and keep the frozen side running and the greasy side down.
Hehehe will do!! 😊
Im 25 and delivering gas local, pay isn't bad but I've always felt the same way, I want to do something else eventually and this isn't permanent.
I can completely relate to this, this is something I have been struggling with recently with my career in trucking.
Oh I’m so glad to hear you can relate to this! This is why I make these videos 🙌you will figure it out and find what works best for you
You got to do what you have to,
I’m glad you guys found something
Being a o/o is definitely hard , I just added a second truck , running local flatbed , definitely love being home every night,
good luck guys !!!
I love hearing you’re able to be home every night! 🙌it’s amazing lol
🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 keep it up! The wife and I always enjoy your journey!
I appreciate that
Congrats! Congrats! Congrats! You guys did it! Sold that truck on time and now you can enjoy each other. If you live near an airport Turo car rentals do well if you can work out the timing for pickups. So happy for you two!
WE LOVE YOU TWO PEOPLE ! GOD BLESS !
WE LOVE YOU TOO!! 🥰
Good job selling it at the point you did, you guys are set up for success and you can always get back into if you miss it like I did after I took a 2 year break
We definitely lucked out and we sold to the a great trucking couple just like us great karma 😊
Same bro, i had to stop my company and got into the legal sector(Got my first case already filed in Federal Court! :D). I didnt quit, i saw how fucked up things were getting and made the decision to put myself on a time out for now. Other people didnt, and they crashed and burned because their pride got in their way! Even tho im not in logistics anymore, i still see the trends, the markets, the load to truck ratio and so on. Once i finish my case and i see that markets are starting to need and pay the price, ill be back and better lol. Good luck to you and your man, you know ima still f**k with you guys even if the channel is not about trucking anymore!
Hahaha we’d still f*** with you even tho you’re not in trucking anymore. Dayumm mad respect that takes a lot of guts to do what you did! Ugh I saw it happen to so many friends the last year. But what doesn’t kill us makes us stronger! Thanks for being such a cool die hard watcher 🙌🙌🙌
Great show! Thank you for your story! I am getting ready to start my third carrier! I was a chef then worked on ships and traveled the world. Now I am going to drive! Are you driving a company truck or did you buy another? Thanks and be happy!
I understand the couple months it takes to decompress from the trucking business world. I have been off since December 21 & I am just now getting to a normal state of mind. I still love trucking but it does require attention to be successfull.
Yes! 🙌I’m glad you made it to your normal state of mind
Ok you answered my question, I just had to wait until the end. What advice would you give before someone dives into being an entrepreneur?
Good for you Tash, at least you both are enjoying yourselves, I don't miss my hand truck days though, the stairs on Front Street Lahaina was enough, take care, be safe!
Please tell us more about PPJ.
Like hometime?
Work/Life balance?
Sounds like the $$$ is there.
My Wife and I are trying to finish this race we're in too.
Team OTR isn't easy.
I’m sorry to hear that! I hope you two take care of yourself out there I know how it can be 💔And Yes I can Vlog more of the day to day job. We just got a new schedule that we’re gonna have 4 days off a week now!!! It was quite hard in the beginning, but once our bodies got used to it after a few months, it got much much easier. Now we’re just chillen and love all the home time 🙌I will update you all
Idk but maybe is a consequence of the economy that many people saw the opportunity and jumping on trucking. And I guess now people that accumulated revenue, it’s the time for them to get out before they lose money. I’ve seen many TDriver RUclipsrs that were OOp that sold their truck and got on to another business. What I’ve seen as a common denominator is the mental health toll. Being OTR driver for that period of time on the road in isolation will take a mental health toll specially in your case being with your husband 24/7 is another layer on top.
I bet you now you feel way lighter (mentally speaking).
May God bless you guy whatever path you take! Be safe!
Yes much lighter! Thankyou for your thoughtful comment ☺️yeh it’s funny cause we started when the trucking rates were bad before Covid time and we thought it was good. And then when it got actually good after Covid we were like WHOAAA 😂
I am so happy for you and your husband that you found some happiness in this life. Maybe this is just a step towards something better. Maybe this is that one thing you need in your life, who knows, for now I'm glade you guys are happy. I have two jobs, I drive a school bus as my regular job, which I could never give up, but I also deliver pizzas for Papa John's, when our truck comes in I am so excited and happy. Sometimes I think, well, maybe I could one day, but then I'm like, I'd have to stop driving the school bus, so that doors kind of shut. I admire you both for this job. P.s. if you ever have a chance to deliver to the Kingsley Papa John's, probs not, but if by chance I look forward to meeting you.
No way! That’s ironic I hope your one of the nice delivery guys for papa johns 😁we deal with all sorts of them every day
I don't blame you, I was an owner operator for over two years and I bought my truck brand new in 2020 and sold it for 70k more than I paid for 2 years later. I'm gonna tell ya.. I gotta hand it to you I can't do team driving cause I can't sleep in my apt much less a moving truck.
If I was gonna be a company driver I'd go back to Walmart (easiest and highest company paying job) I've had just gone 5 days a week or go back to hauling fuel.
Wow…congratulations both! Love your videos and always good information. I am OTR truck driver and I am starting to feel some kind of way and more in winter 🥶. Thank you for your videos waiting for more to watch 👏🏼
I know that ‘feelin some kind of way’ haha 🥲best of luck to you you got this!!
Congratulations, we are so happy for you guys.... ❤️ William
Hell yeah get it girl, I’m at Sysco now for 9 months, crazy y’all don’t use scanners wtf 😳
Lmaooo, I applied to Sysco at first. Luckily I enjoy writing with a pen and paper so it’s all good. But yeh it’s a newer company so their still catching up I guess
Can you do a video on how you got into vacation rentals? How did you manage them while being OTR? It’s something I’ve been interested in doing for a while.
Yes! Totally I’ve been planning on vlogging next time I go there soon
Congrats on the job!!!
Thank you!
I still do the same thing with my pillows, 1 year after I sold my truck...
Interesting story Natasha good luck in the future I always enjoy your content
Thankyou 🥰

Hey trucking is cool but it kind of sucks for some…I first started 7 yrs ago over the road only did one month over the road I quit that asap!! lol started with cheap ass CR England waited for my license to arrive..had no experience ! Lol I stay in Compton ca I didn’t last for nothing over the road heck no to that shit! A company gaved me an offer with no experience insurance didn’t say anything I started doing rails and port here 12 hours top no pressure for nothing then I decided to buy my truck last 2 yrs ago hauling for a company to do port work here and rail where I live so I’m doing moves from Long Beach to Compton or Compton to Commerce that’s it making pretty ok money is not that bad easy work real easy I take my daughters to school at 8 start work at 8:20am and by 12:30-1pm I’m out do 2-3 full rounds before 1 pm drop and hook all yr long and I get to go home to my family everyday i only work 4-5 hours every day im still taking more than 3k per week tops 5k Monday thru Friday but right now since it’s a bit slow I take around 3k like your videos just giving u some of my experience and shit lol but anyways F over the road besides trucking is pretty cool well stay safe natasha you and your homeboy husband 💯🦾
That’s why they try to pay extra for OTR! But I don’t really think it’s worth it, you have no life 💔
That’s awesome man keep up the good work!
@@natashatrucking yea but there’s always better things that we figure out what’s good so many rookies doing over the road thing that’s the only option they think they have and na that life ain’t worth it for nothing girl plus i have my hobbies i love soccer and boxing and takibg my girls to there soccer games lol names chuy tho natasha I even follow you on the gram lol but yea it’s always better to work closer to home and still making your bag 😌😊
Can you choose your own team driver, as if me and another driver were to apply there. Can we roll together?
Congrats..private fleets are consistent freight. All the best.
Thanks 🙌🥰
Thank you
Miss N..1st. Why not have keeped ur otr Permitts and rented them out 2 other owner operators. Or had some drive for u. 2nd. Why not contract leasing with ur own fleet.
Hey Juan since we we’re leased on to silver they weren’t our permits, and we honestly wouldn’t truck anyone being responsible for our equipment 😄 we’ve know too many company drivers and they’ll just wreak the truck
What is the name of your new channel? Been missing your videos!
Ok. Can we appreciate that eyelash game? I guess we're never gonna see you on Shipping Wars again? 😢
Estoy buscando trabajo Cdl A..... alguna referencia para un Recién graduado?
You both could do linehaul and be home daily. Make 6 figures in 2-3yrs.
I’ll check it out!
have fun with it
congrats !!!!!
AWESOME JOB
They sell weighted blankets that help with stress when sleeping
I totally see you and hubby doing a trucking mukbang. 🤣
Hey that’s a good idea, ordering the ENTIRE papa Johns menu lol
Natasha The Boss, ,, follow you and Zoom anywhere, congrats with your new job. I will patiently wait for your next video. . Big Love. 02/01/2023. Wedns 8:47 pm. EST. . Blessed. 1
What a great honest video!!!!!
Thank you! Really put my heart on my sleeve on this one 🥰
I hope you go back to owner operator like me lol... your channel really helped me when i started alot of insite 👁👁💭 . But get with the times and get a Telsa Semi truck. EVOLVE with the times. ⌛️🌎.
Hey I’m glad it helped you 🙌😍
Run a truck as a team for a year and a half and sell it for 20k more than you paid for it. That’s timing! Good for you!
Wow, thank you!
Everything for the happiness of the dogs 🤭
Thank you for sharing!
Sure thang 🥰💜
new subscriber!!
Shoot, I'm a company driver and make 6 figures. Also, if it works, it works
I am looking for a truck as of right now and I only have 7 months experience what would be your advice for me?
Ps: Your Chanel and Ken V Chanel made me go get my CDL back in May 2022, Keep up the great work.
Thank you! 🥰 my advise probably start off slow get a feel for the water before you jump and buy equipment at least until economy takes a turn for the better
natasha you are soooo tof 🧡💚💛💙🙏
DO YOU GO THE GYM ? WHAT ARE YOU READING NOW ? HOW TO COOK ON THE ROAD ? I LIKED AND TRIED TO COPY YOU TWO . IT CAME OUT GOOD ! MAYBE A COOK BOOK ?
Haha! Yes I only need to go to the gym once a week now on Sundays. It’s so nice cause I used to get so bored going to only the gym too much. The newest book I’m reading is called ‘The compound effect’ and ‘the power of one more’. I listen to it when I’m driving on audible. And omg we have a whole new meal prep I’ll have to show you all!
If it's a team job. Are you both allowed to do the delivery at every stop or is it only the person on the clock. Trying to figure out how that works.
I’m making a Vlog where I go through the ins and outs. There some grey area (as you know most trucking is) technically we have to abide by DOT laws. But on the job it’s mostly up to us, our company doesn’t force us to do anything we’re not comfortable with doing.
Great video
What do your hours look like ? Start/ end times, overtime? I'm trying to go local food service after I complete my otr experience. Would love feedback, thanks.
Hey sorry for late reply! I’m making a Vlog right now about the day to day duties, and home time. Hopefully it will answer all your questions in better detail. Stay tuned 😊
so even though its Refer its actually 2 zone? Refrigeration and Freezeer?
Yes it’s a 2 zone but just a fridge 34 degree and the other side behind the bulkhead is just dry goods
Glad you guys are young, no unloading trucks for me
I know what you mean we think about that a lot lol
Are you back 'Home' in KC or StL ?
Home is KC now 🥰
Do they have a terminal in west Texas
They have one in Texas, I’m just not sure where
Do you guys work one 14 hour shift together or do you all still team?
We still team we usually do a 24-34hr shift 😱
Papa Johns Rulez! I will eat more cuz of you! Papa Johns oughtta pay u more for the advertising 👍🏼. God Bless to u nd urs.
Omg! I just thought the same thing hehe it’s hard not to when we live papa John’s too!🥰
That’s the minimum in Australia some make way more. Plus the shortage of drivers from cute dude ❤
Oh dang! Thx cute dude ❤️
@@natashatrucking 😘

Can I use your wifi hotspot please?
- Hobo
How did you find this job ?
Got lucky on indeed 😊it’s still a newer company we didn’t know papa John’s had a private fleet
Why did you quit your owner operator job?
11:20
otr wears on you, i do it every 2 or 3 yrs only for 1 yr
That’s a smart idea 💡
