Simply fucking brilliant. Seminal song. Demonstrates real musicianship (those unreal chord changes with that soulful voice) - and these so many idiots nowadays call themselves musicians.
The greatest song of love and loss ever written.............bar none. London lovely, fantastic voice, pure soul, and just a great sequence of clever haunting chords. I know where Glens going. I've been there. His song can never ever be bettered.
Always takes me back to the little boy i was in the 80’s. Best times of my life. My 4 yr old has started to listen as well. These songs will never ever fade as long as people remember them.
Paul Carrack’s voice more than wonderfully covered by Glenn, him and Difford approached Lennon-McCartney songwriting magic. Plenty of wonderful perfect pop tunes, this one the pick of the lot.
thanks.. we're hoping to do doing a music salon with Glen in few months.. vip concert with a select group of fans... stay tune for more info... everything is still pending.. great guy and super talent.
So many chords... its rare for a catchy pop song to be so complicated musically.
A really unusual and complex song chord wise.....played and sung by a real professional. Brilliant.
Notes can only be stretched out even more by Glen's vocal dexterity each time he has a go at this tune. Pure Brilliance.
Well said!
Yes it's like it's been written on 🎹
That chord progression is amazing. And tough! Brilliant...
That guy way too much talent. Who says all men are created equal?
Thanks for posting.
OMG Squeeze/Glenn Tilbrook are far and away my favourite band of all time. I wish they would come back to Orlando and perform again... sigh :(
The man is absolute quality, would love to see him live.
He lives!!
I could listen to the acoustic version of this song a million times :)
One of my favorite Squeeze songs. Man can this guy sing!

What a fantastic musician Glenn Tilbrook is. Thank you for this.
Now THAT'S the way an acoustic guitar should be strummed! Excellent! Oh, the memories.

Cripes, this is bleedin epic.
I'm so sad for the five people who gave this a thumbs down. I can't imagine what it's like to live without joy in your life.
Those 5 people are tone deaf.
one voice with one guitar , amazing
Bloody hell. Fantastic!
Dad brought this back when he was in the UK. now I’m playing for my son cuz I want him to know what his father felt.

I've always loved this song. Harmonically beautiful, great lyrics too! Now I can learn how to play it.... Thanks for posting!
Good luck mate, I'd be constantly stopping/starting this - take me years!
I have seen Glen preform with Squeeze and when its just him and a acoustic guitar and he never fails to amaze me with his talent.
This is amazing. Popped up in my suggested videos in 2021. How have I not seen this years ago? Love the chord changes too, definitely one to learn.
Wow. What a fantastic performance of this amazing song. Thank you for sharing.
absolutely brilliant - off the cuff - what a Master 🤘xxx
Beyond incredible! Just amazing!!
I met him last night in the village with the fluffers. ;-)
Thanks for posting. Tilbrook has the total package.

Reproduced very eloquently in all it's rawness.Which takes some doing believe me-Glen that was awesome!

As always, fantastic! Thanks for being there to record it. You've got the vibe, and my boomer respect. ;)

Hi richard - love the Tilbrook work! I sent over response to your media-match need for Shooter/FCPX Pierre
Can someone help transcribe this? Amazing, Glenn....
Sean Beecher Glen Tilbrook posted a video on RUclips on how to play tempted. Look up Glen teachs Steve Poltz on you tube.
Brillian, just wish your camera was slightly more to let hand.
How do you learn that
Loud voice kind of cool distorsion
1 person is Paul Carrack
Great song and playing of.
Lousy abrupt cut off at the end.
oh well you can't have everything!
Sung how it was supposed to be. .
Much prefer Glenn singing this song, not Paul Carrack.
It’s just piano chords. . . On guitar😂
If he dumped the fake American accent it would be perfect.
Not when he's singing this!
if the original is american, then I understand tbh, but generally fake American accents are annoying, heh
@johnbrodeur1 its not it's definately a TAYLOR.
