@@kimopuppy You could save the link to the file and author name as a text data block in the Blend file or even better paste it to a .txt file that's in the same folder as the asset files. I usually have each 3d scan in it's own folder which contains the fbx/obj and the blend file I make as well as a texture folder.
Hello, how do you make your value menu (principled BSDF with all the settings displayed directly?) I'm obliged to open each setting to see and make my settings. Thanks by advance
The textures may not have been setup correctly ahead of time. What program was it created in or site was it downloaded from? Also how many texture images are there?

@@davedave510 was it a zip file, fbx, or obj file? In the import menu be sure to use the right option or it won't see the file you're looking for. Also if it's in a zip file be sure to extract the 3d file and any textures also so blender can access the files you downloaded.

I don't have any "blender" folder like you have. Used windows search, no results. And I just installed blender last week. There's a "Blender Foundation" folder, but nothing in there looking like your path.
@@jensdaems6913 If Blender can't open TGA files in an image texture node you'll need to convert it like you said. Irfanview may be able to do in in batch (it's free also) if you have a bunch of images to convert. I use it to resize large amounts of photos from weddings and photoshoots. As for importing them as assets images cannot be assets in Blender. You can have materials using that image/images and the material can be an asset though. I keep all my images organized in category folders and can easily find them that way. I have a video on how my files are organized if you're interested.
You can't. You must extract the files from within it to a normal folder then blender can see the files. I'm assuming the contents are blender friendly filetpyes. I usually drag and drop the contents to a custom made folder for my zip downloads.

Yep to organize assets you have to be working within that blend file. That's the most annoying part of the asset browser hoping it can be changed soon.

@@Saadan-1 Oh yes those are folders I've created myself and filled with content I've bought, downloaded, and made myself. I'm a very organized artist and it pays off! But if you're importing an asset it doesn't matter where it is though I do suggest you get in the habit of organizing things early on.

Are you using Blender 4.0+? They changed the BSDF to have separate panels. I don't yet know how to expand them all at once.

Fbx is a 3d format. Use the Fbx import option in Blender.

There are some addons for just that! Sketchfab has their own now. Blender kit is another good one. I'm sure there are various others available.
