My name is James Aubrey IV and I just recently graduated college from Iowa State University. After college I decided to take a leap of faith. So I moved to San Diego California to pursue my passion for videography/ RUclips. Overall I'm a pretty chill person, outside of RUclips I like to longboard, dance, play video games, lift weights and hangout with my friends. Rome Life is something I started during my Sophomore year of high school (one of the worst times in my life) it started off as me documenting my journey to recovery from my shoulder surgery but eventually it turned into a platform that I could use to encourage myself as well as others to chase our dreams.
Rome Life isn't just a saying it's a way of life and for the people who want to be apart of it have to realize that. Rome wasn't built in a day it took a lot of handwork time and most importantly patience. So you can't expect your dreams to be any different

I still find it bizarre that there’s any adult in the western world that hasn’t heard this song 1000 times.
I think nine out of ten "reaction videos" have heard this song....they just do it for the views. :)
I don’t. I’ve gone years between hearing this at different times of my life - and I know and love the song. Also, there are popular performers of TODAY (hiphop and other) who have probably sold hundreds of millions albums who I have never heard a song by. We all live in different bubbles. Musically. Culturally. Religiously. Politically. Etc.

I saw them in concert in 1982. Definitely, one of the best concerts I've ever been to. Freddie was amazing. You tell kids today about how good the music was back then, not just rock, they laugh and blow you off. UNTIL they actually listen to it.
Their talent was so far above rock. They wrote entire orchestra parts to many songs like this one, So sad Freddie died too young

Brits are Rock gods. Their “we will rock you” song is great.
Amazing fact about Queens' lead guitarist Brian May. He was actually working on getting his Ph.D in astrophysics when Queen was formed. Music meant so much to him so he put his doctorate on the back burner. After Freddie Mercury died, Queen disbanded. Even while still part of the group Brian and his father designed and built a new kind of guitar. Brian's IQ has been measured in the 160's. That's even beyond Big Bang Theory smart. So he was a real genius on top of being a musical genius. after Queen disbanded, Brian went back to working toward his doctorate. He finally got it in 2006 or 7. He's now Dr. Brian May Ph.D. He's also written about 6 books on the subject of astrophysics.
And he is an absolute gentleman and wonderful spirit.
You have just seen and heard a musical masterpiece. Bohemian Rhapsody, is considered today one of the best songs in world popular music.
I would love to see the both of you react to Queen Live Aid '85. Twenty plus minutes of greatness described as the best live performance ever.

Dr. Brian May really makes the Red Lady sing.. I mean, Freddie is beyond compare, but it's the combination of four musical geniuses that makes Queen what they are.

This was one of their longer songs, which is why it wasn't played very often on the radio originally. Most of their songs are of average length. It was only after Classic Rock became popular, followed by it being used in the movie WAYNE'S WORLD, that BohRhap gained the recognition and popularity it has today.
Brian May is not only one of the best guitarist in the world, but he also has a PHD in astrophysics.
If you do “We will rock you” follow it up with “We are the champions” this two songs always would accompany each other on the radio b/c they are shorter songs.
I still find it hard to believe there’s people out there, that haven’t heard of Queen!

I clearly remember the first play of this on British television (Top of the Pops, if I remember correctly). The following day at work, this was the main topic of conversation. Just so different from anything we had heard before. Still in my top 5 pieces of music ever.(I’m 68 so quite a few to choose from).

John Deacon is one of the best strummers of fish EVER. He's a bass fish Master, for sure. I would say that after a song as epic as this that John's fish is probably sufficiently steamed - remember, bass aficionados: if the flesh looks translucent then it is NOT quite done. John has had MANY years to master his preparation of this divine fish. Don't undercook your bass.

People who haven’t heard Queen before as an adult still baffles me because back in 2016 when I was around 12 I discovered Queen by myself and I was a fan already even though Freddie died years ago. And I found out almost all my peers (young children new into this world) have even heard this song and we even sung it together on a party (just a few didn’t know the lyrics). So to think that a lot of the new generation even caught up with Queen but an adult (in the west) hasn’t heard Queen before really shocks me.

Saw Queen live in the 70's. They left the stage and played a tape during the chorale section, then came back for the hard rock part. Freddy Mercury was a theatrical dynamo on stage.

According to FANDOM: Queen Info Database, Freddie recorded The Show Must Go On in 1990. The song was released on October 1991, 6 weeks before Freddie died. So although he was very ill and could barely stand, he recorded the song in 1990 (no month stated).
Great choice, I recommended it too! I know many say he did the whole song in one take,, details often get mixed up, like the game broken telephone!. I have yet to see anything confirmed by Brian that it was done in one take (happy to view if someone has seen it..not Wikipedia...), but he did say the recording of it was like the performance of his life. Recorded about a year before he died. His last recording was made in May 1991(Mother Love) and died in Nov 1991.
Can't listen to this now without that Waynes World car scene...and I was around when this album first came out, and at 62, it is still a song that takes me back to my teen years

Freddie Mercury was born on the Island of Zanzibar on the 5th of September 1946, he passed away on November 24th 1991 aged 45 from AIDS, Brian May was born in 1947 and is 73 years old, Roger Taylor was born in 1949 and is 71 years old, John Deacon was born in 1951 and is 69 years old, Bohemian Rhapsody is from the 1975 album Night at the Opera, this song reached number 1 in 1975 as well, Queen are still touring with Brian May and Roger Taylor today, they are also one of my favourite bands, RIP Freddie!! Gone but never forgotten!! 😀 😀
