There is a plate my Mama had hanging in the kitchen. I remember she's always had it in any kitchen we'd move to. It said: "Thank God for dirty dishes, for they have a tale to tell. While others may go hungry, we're eating very well".
Love it
So true!!!
Mrs. Lori, how would you store your fresh tomatoes ?
"If you don't have dirty dishes you aren't cooking" so true! I need that sign in my kitchen.

Prayers for God's Guidance and safe keeping, Love from Arkansas, xoxoxo
Praying for you and the people suffering there.
This video is worth its’ weight in gold. First, the casserole looks delicious. But, most of all, the information to store produce in jars is awesome. Thank you.
I really enjoy watching you Ms Lori and Mr Brown. I understand about the long days. Mr Brown I drove a school bus for 11 years. When I first began I second guessed what I was doing. I soon found out that I loved the kids and the job, making sure that those kids made it home safely was my number one goal, and I’m proud to say they always made it safely home. Bless you both for your hard work and dedication. I too preserve as much as I can. I’ve lived that life since I was born. I’m now 63. Keep bringing the wonderful videos, I miss when I don’t see you on here. Take care.
I was never close to my Mom. She was a narcissist Mom. I've spent a lot of time in counseling and am much better. If God would have allowed me to pick a Mom, it would have been you, Miss Lori. You touch my heart. I feel loved. I hope this isn't too personal. Hope your allergies are getting betting.
Bless you sweetie, I was without a mom growing up, I feel your sadness, but just know you are Loved, xoxoxo

You are adorable in your scrub top Lori! In my younger years I worked for a Veterinary hospital until my back gave out, I still have my scrubs with doggies and bunnies on them, that looks delicious and thank you for sharing with us when you have such a busy, long day ahead !
Hello Dan & Lori. What a great casserole for the grandkids. Just add those veggies they really like with the meat, onion, cream soups, cheese, sour cream and hashbrowns. What a good idea when all eleven of us are together and we need a hearty dish to serve. Long with some homemade biscuits! Be well and safe.🥰
Ms Lori I am sitting here enjoying every minute of watching you put that delicious casserole together!!! Sooo enjoyed my time spent with you!!!
Thanks so much
Mrs. Lori....You are my little kitchen Fairey!!! I lean on you for so much because you KNOW so much and you are excellent at all you do....and you are a great teacher. I can't wait to throw this slow cooker meal together. I might throw some green beans and corn in there too. Yum!
Thank you so much💓
And please gives us another update on the piggies🐷❤ soon!
Take care you two! God Bless and keep you!❤🙏
I’m sooo glad you all were spared the storms that passed through Arkansas. I had you on my mind and in my ❤️. 🙏❤️🙏❤️
Thank you so much!!
I so enjoy watching your videos, especially when you and your husband joke around. I’ve been married for 42 years and you kid around like my husband and I. So good to see other couples enjoy each other after so many years; but the food looks delicious and I’m excited to try your recipes. God bless you and your family.
Love throw together casseroles-they usually turn out awesome but you can never replicate it exactly.
I use my crockpot so much they have names. Caroline and Ken. They cook for me 3-4 days a week. My rice cooker is named Rita.
Ms Lori, thank you for sharing your crock pot recipe. I love that you work with children. I was an elementary teacher for 20 years. I am sure the children love you:)
Whenever I have a crockpot meal after a long day it feels as if someone cooked dinner for me. Thank you for all your cosy videos.
"Be doing something in a couple of days." How about you two doing some more dancing together and having a little fun? I love seeing you two in the kitchen together and cutting up, reminds me of my hub and me when he was alive. Such wonderful memories! Thank you for sharing this recipe. You have given me some ideas on making a couple for the freezer. God Bless you two and stay happy and warm!
I love being with you when you make this type of food. Well all the time really.
Love you Miss Lori and Mr Brown. Pray all is well with you and your family! It’s almost time to get busy planting!!
Lori I enjoy being a part of your RUclips family. I have missed you but I just thought you had a lot to do and I totally understand. God Bless You Lori and Mr Brown
Hello Ms. Lori. I’m glad to hear that you’ve had pretty weather there in Arkansas. Here in Ca. We are having one heck of a winter! No one will be able to claim we’re having a drought-that’s for sure.
I’ve been looking forward to your slow cooker recipes so thank you.
God Bless Whippoorwill Holler & The Brown Clan. Xxoo
Hello from So. California!
@@jenniferbower2545 hello from San Joaquin Valley, Ca. 😊
I heard yall were getting blasted with cold!
@@WhippoorwillHoller yes! It snowed here and we never get snow! Flooding, freezing. It’s the coldest, most wet winter that I can remember and I’m 64! Lol
I love this! My husband and I absolutely love your channel. Finding anything to watch on television is so frustrating. You guys are so wholesome and uplifting. My husband and I will get our dinner and we plop down to watch Mrs. Lori and Mr. Brown! Thank you for all that you do and for loving us.❤❤❤
Thanks so much!!
Looks good. I love my slow cooker. When I was working, or having doctors appointments it always came in handy. Put your meal on to cook while you're gone and come home to a meal already fixed. Even when I know I will be working out in the yeard, just put something to cook and go about your business. God bless you both
I use the slow cooker setting on my instant pot and it works really well. I never knew there was a difference between a crockpot and slow cooker...good to know. Looks yummy.
Peace and Blessings my friend, thank you for another amazing dinner recipe. Comfort food at its best!! 😋
Thank you for the tip. I enjoy watching you and Mr. Brown. Supper looks delicious.
While I'm not gone all day a lot, I love slow cooking supper because it usually tenderizes any cut of meat and I love being able to go outside to putter around and not have to keep an eye on the time to go in and start cooking...and coming into the house to that smell is the best part! 😋
Oh my stars! I have tried keeping my celery in the foil, too, but I LOVE the idea of putting them in jars. What a great idea, and so thankful to learn a better way to keep fresh foods longer without spoiling! Great money saver. Thanks, Miss Lori. And here it is, bedtime, and I'm watching you dip up a larrapin supper as I'm heading for bed. It such looks fantastic. And a great idea for the slow cooker!!
I just love watching your videos. Hearing you talk abt how Mr. Brown and Miss Lori cook and run your land and animals is so sweet. It shows what a loving relationship you have with each other. Thank u for your hard working kind and interesting life stories. Love your recipes. Used them a lot they are delicious. I’m older than you I’m sure, but I feel a kindred spirit to you. Maybe it’s because you have given me hope There are still good people out there with moral values and doing what must be done.
Thank you for your efforts in making all the videos to help many of us.
Thank you for the great meal ideas and vegetable preservation tips!
Mrs Lori you have almost 400 thousand subscribers!! That's so awesome !! Congrats .. I love your videos and channel ! God Bless you and Mr. Brown
Thank you! I can't believe it!
Lots of good tips in this video. I throw away so many vegetables that go bad before I use them. I'm going to definitely store them in my canning jars. Thanks for sharing your morning with us.
I also use jars to store my veggies and also jar separately the different things my family likes in salads. Because not everyone likes the same things in their salad. Separate jars of cakes, tomatoes, chickpeas, olives, onions. Keeps all fresh. As always thank you for your tips.
Hello Lori slowecooker is always fantastic ideas for busy day. have a lovely week:)
Thank you, Ms Lori! It's been a while since I've "visited" your kitchen. Busy season of life! Thank you for this go-to, quick, family-friendly recipe. Blessings to you and Mr Brown.
Great recipe. Love anything in a slow cooker. Also the storage tips on vegetables will be helpful to me since I all too frequently have produce that goes bad on me before I can use it all. Love your channel.
Thank you Ms Lori for another dinner inspiration. Looks delicious. I love all your suggestions for substituting this for that - that's real life!
Thank you Ms Lori, love your casserole, you and Mr.Brown are so precious.God be with you aiways.💓
Thanks so much
Oh yum! Another great meal from Ms. Lori!! I'm writing recipes in speckled notebooks. This one will be there soon!! Going to make this soon. I already have most of the ingredients. Thank you.
Hope you enjoy
The newer Crock Pot brand are slow cookers now. The newest one comes with a cast iron pot that can be put in the oven. I have the IP Aura that has stainless but they don't seem to make that anymore. It's interesting to me (an admitted kitchen gadget addict) how new stuff makes its way back to the tried and true eventually. I never knew how much I would miss good old cast iron, stainless steel, and stoneware but I sure have made my way back to it! Thank you for sharing Ms Lori!
God bless you and all of the others, that are helping so many in need.
Stay safe. 🙏
Thanks Miss Lori for the tip on storing produce. Bless your heart you are such a hard worker. I need some of yours and Mr. Brown's energy. Enjoy your beautiful weather. Mrs.Steve
Love learning things from you and thank you and God Bless y'all ❤️ !!
I am absolutely loving your nails Mrs. Lori!
Thank you! That looks delicious! And kid friendly! And thank you so much for the storing vegetable tips! That’s awesome! God bless you and Mr. Brown.❤
This just up my alley. Love this kind of meal. Thank you.
Thank you! I can't wait to make this! I just so happen to have everything on hand. The tips on storing our produce was needed. I just hate when I have to throw items out too soon.
Thankyou aims Lori. I broke my shoulder and my oxygen and electrolytes have been down for weeks now and I'm starving for real food. Living vicariously thru your cooking , it looks so good .
Prayers for quick healing
Miss Lori this sure looks good another recipe that I know we will just Love!
GOOD MORNING MISS LORI AND MR BROWN YOU 2 SHOULD MAKE A JOINT COOKING BOOK LOVE YOU ALL IN THE KITCHEN GOD BLESS GLAD TO SEE THAT YOU ARE FEELING BETTER
I love being a part of Your RUclips family! Thank you for sharing!
Since I started this new job, I have been searching for slow cooker recipes! Thank You Miss Lori!!! I can’t wait to try this!
Miss Lori, the instant you came on I said I LOVE your scrub shirt! I was in the nursing home a few years ago for several months & one day I found the cutest scrub shirt with the Jetsons on it in my closet. I finally got one of the girls to admit she got it for me. We had talked about how back when I worked there we all wore plain white instead of the cute choices nowadays. I still have that shirt and occasionally wear it...I'm just home, at doctor's appointments or with Daddy in that same nursing home so I fit in anywhere. I want one of the shirts most the nurses at my orthopedic surgeon's office wear. They say 'Movement is a joint effort'! I use a crockpot all the time & always wondered what the difference was with a slow cooker, thank you! I never make anything the same twice with my soups or stews because I use what I have. I do the same with my pot pie fillings. I use the same whole wheat crust recipe but the filling is always different.
I think I would need some sliced mushrooms and some mixed veggies in that casserole but what a great base to build off. Thanks for sharing another easy peasy dinner recipe!!!:):):)
Many years ago, I picked up a little kitchen sign at a garage sale that said: "Thank God for dirty dishes - They have a tale to tell - While other folks go hungry - We are so very well. - With food and warmth and happiness, we shouldn't want to fuss - For by this stack of dishes, God blessed us very much!"
Love it!
I look forward to all your videos...thanks for your information to give us some great ideas 💡
Hi Ms. Lori, I love visiting with you and Mr. Brown. Casseroles are really good. Yours looks yummy, with the cheese, sour cream. I enjoy learning the different recipes that you make. Love to you Ms. Lori and Mr. Brown.🕊💖🌷🐝
That casserole looks delicious. Definitely going to add this to my line up of good things to eat. Y'll have a Blessed day.
I have the exact slow cooker and absolutely love it!
What a great idea, especially for the "leaner" days ahead. Thank you Both and May God's Love & Peace fill your hearts & homes
Hello Brown Family . Thanks for sharing your Casserole . Look so delicious and easy to make . Probably do this recipe . In a few days for family . Glad you got some beautiful days . Take care of your self . And God Bless You Both .😊
slow cooker recipees are so great, especially when you work long hours!
Miss Lori, I just love your tip. I'm keeping produce fresh. Not only is the price of produce ridiculously high right now, but who wants to throw it away? I don't. I want to save as much money as I can. And it's a waste. Anyways, I'm going to try this. Thank you so much for that. God bless you and your dinner looks yummy
Newer crock pots have different settings such as a timer etc. It's those old/basic crock pots that only have a high/ low and on/off buttons. I love your Cuisinart slow cooker !
Bless your heart I know all the people at school love you you are so sweet and special love Sally
Love slow cooker recipes. So nice to come home open the door and smell a wonderful dinner already done. I especially like to use them in the summer so the kitchen doesn't get hot. Til next time, God bless
Thank you so much! Always good to see what y’all are up to!❤
Ms Lori, I love my slow cooker too. I used it so much back when I was working. Now I'm retired but the slow cooker is still my friend. I need to try this hash brown and beef casserole. It looks so good. Thank you for sharing. God bless you and Mr Brown.
The casserole looks yummy!
I also store most of my vegetables and fruits like that.
With my apples I wash, let dry, wrap them in plastic wrap and and store them in the crisper.
They stay fresh and ready to eat. I have three left, that I purchased on January 6th.
My granddaughter put her apple that she didn’t eat for lunch one day in the fridge and it got pushed back.
After 3 weeks in the fridge it was still like the day I bought.😊
That casserole sounds so yummy thanks for the tip about storing vegetables I'm definitely going to do that
I love the way you give great tips to change the meal your making. Nearly every time you give suggestions I admire. Thank you
Love that I found y’all, finally someone cooks stuff I like to eat. Born in Harrison and live in Hot Springs and I love this ❤️🙏
Thank you! Going to try this recipe it looks 😋 Going to start storing my bell pepper like you showed. Not promoting but Deep South Bama with Mr. Tom showed a good way to store celery a couple days ago. I liked his video because he went through the "science" of the tin foil method vs storing it in a glass of water with a bag over it.
I love watching him too!
Oh my goodness! I already ate my supper, but that casserole looks SO delectable I'm planning on making some tomorrow. Also, please show us how to make cream of soup. Thanks! 🥰
I have a old video making cream of something mix
@@WhippoorwillHoller Thank you!
LOVE LOVE IT!! Thank Y'all for sharing this video with all of us and the recipe for the casserole and your beautiful life, God Bless you and Mr Brown 🤎 !!
Great easy recipe...thanks!
Ty for explaining about a slow cooker and crockpot. I’ve wanted to make something that I could come home from church and have something ready to eat. I’m so glad I found you. God Bless
That slow-cooker casserole (minus the soups) could actually be good to wrap up in a tortilla for breakfast or supper tacos.
Blessings for all the hard work you do every day!
Looks good, will definitely make this.
Looks delicious!
Looks so good!
I store a lot of things in jars. I have a jar sealer attachment, very handy for buying dry products in bulk. Yep, I always have a paper towel in with them. It absorbs the moisture. When you buy lettuce or any veggies, you never want to buy the bag with condensation in it. Wont last as long.
Love it, will try it for sure.
Looks delicious!😊🇨🇦
Thank you for the tips!
Looks yummy!
Looks absolutely delicious 😋
I'll be giving this a try. ❤
Glad to see that the storms did not head your way in Arkansas homestead. Lots of prayers were headed your way.
