9 inch deep prebaked crust
2 pints strawberries, washed, sliced up
1 cup water
3/4 cup sugar
2 T. cornstarch
3 oz. pkg. strawberry Gelatin
sweet tea
gallon water
6 tea bags
1 1/2 cups sugar
sunshine
lemon slices
pea salad
2 cups thawed frozen peas
2 cups cooked elbow macaroni
1 cup cheddar cheese
3/4 cup chopped ham
green onion or red onion chopped
2 tomatoes chopped
1 stalk chopped celery
1/2 cup mayo
salt pepper, dill weed

I'm a 10th generation Texan, our family recipe on both sides made a very different pea salad. We use pea's, pimento and grated cheese and miracle whip. Delicious 😋
We live in Texas, and put red onion, cubed mild cheddar cheese, bacon and Miracle Chips in our pea salad. Fun to see how things are made in different places. 🌷

I’ve never seen pea salad made with macaroni added but next time I make it I will use the macaroni! This looks delicious!

My cousin makes the best pea salad. It's so simple. Just defrost frozen peas and mix them with ranch dressing (she uses Hidden Valley in the bottle). Put roasted salted cashews over the top. That's it. So simple and so good!

I've committed to a couple of dishes already for our church's potluck and now I'm looking at that pea salad and wondering if I can find the time to whip that up. I haven't had pea salad in years. Yes, we must keep our heads about us and keep our faith strong as it is going to get very rough. We can focus on what Jesus has done for us.

Glad you guys were spared during the storms! We didn't get anything bad here, thank the Lord. Hubby and our oldest son went up to Little Rock today to help with some of the cleanup. Some of the videos were just jaw-dropping.

My Grandma used to use 2c sugar for a gallon of tea. Plus her secret was "a drop or two of nilla flavoring" as she would say. She also would add slices of frozen lemons. I still make mines the same way. I often think, our children stops by our house for the sweet tea 😉 It still reminds me of her with every sip. 🥰

Made you strawberry pie, it went so fast it didn't even last 3 min in the ple plate. It was a hit, and you were right I should have made 3 or 4, no 5. When strawberries go on sell I'll make a bunch so nobody misses out. HE'S risen, His love for us is overwhelming

Mmm peea salad!! Looks so good!! I make this strawberry pie every father's day for my father-in-law. We make a ton of sweet sun tea in the summer. The sweeter the better!! Have a wonderful Easter Miss Lori and Mr Brown 🕊️✝️💟
Everything looks delish. I have always used Tetley tea. I love the flavor also the tea bags without the strings. When I make mine I use 3 family size or 10 regular bags. Like my tea strong with no sugar. Do always add lemon slices or Nellie and Joe’s lemon juice. 360 days iced tea, my coffee. I pray you have a blessed Easter and everyone else that follows you. Also boil my water and add about 3 cups let steep then add more tab water to my gallon pitcher.

The Pea salad looks wonderful with everything I love in it. And the pie! We had our Easter today to have everyone come. Great grandkids had the egg hunt and then the adults turn. We've been making pea salad in my family since I was a child! Love it! My partner, who was born and reared in Berkeley, CA, thinks my pea salad is perhaps one of the best things he's ever eaten...and he, too, is a mayonnaise person!

Some people don't understand that who are not southern born raised in Michigan but got southern roots and I was raised on sweet tea. It's not summer without it!
Enjoyed this episode so very much! Your recipe for Pea Salad gave me ideas to modify my Pea Salad recipe that I have utilized for more than 40 years. I had never thought of adding any kind of pasta/macaroni to my Pea Salad, but will try that the next time I make a batch -- the one difference in my recipe is that I mix my Mayonnaise with 2-Tablespoons of Honey Dijon Mustard, 2-Teaspoons Apple Cider Vinegar, and 2-Teaspoons Balsamic Vinegar to dress my salad.

I absolutely LOVE pea salad! It looks fabulous! Your strawberry pie looks wonderful, and I'll bet it tastes amazing! I love how jello tastes, but to avoid the dyes, I just mash strawberries with sugar and thicken that.

Hey Lori, that pie looks amazing. Our strawberries here in middle Georgia are ready to be picked all over the area. I have made a strawberry pie similar to yours but was wondering, do you think you could just add the strawberries to the cooled filling before adding to the pie crust? Have a blessed Easter Day!
I can remember having people over after Sunday night church service, and my mama would serve cold plates, pea salad, maybe tuna salad, crackers, cheese, celery and carrot sticks, and plenty of iced tea. Simple fare, but always a blessing to our company. Your cutting board is beautiful, was it a gift? I’d love to have one like that!

The strawberry pie looks so good. I agree about the farmers. More to pay to grow and have trucks for delivery. But things are delicious. Never thought to put macaroni in pea salad. A good idea. First time I had pea salad was about 45 years ago. The hostess used a pound of bacon in it. It was out of this world!! I am going to try making this salad. I’ll pay attention to your tip about the bacon not standing up by adding the bacon right before serving the salad. God bless you and your family. I just never saw or read where anyone used noodles. But, I want to try that, too. Life is about being able to learn and do things differently. Who knows? We may like some other way the best. :)

I’ve added a little curry powder in my pea salad. I use Miracle Whip.
So HAPPY to see you use TETLEY Tea! That's what my Mom always used to make her iced tea. We lived in NJ and never called it Sweet Tea... but it sure was. She used a 2 qt pot of boiling water, only 2 tea bags and let that sit. Never really sure how much sugar she used as she had a scoop. Half of a Lemon and a tray of ice cubes. Delicious "Ice" sweet tea !
My hubby always tells about the time he stopped in to visit my Mom and have some of HER Tea.
He said... At work I'd been thinking about having a glass of her ice tea all afternoon! But how disappointed disappointed he was when he opened the frig and there wasn't any! NO TEA???
She told him.. "it's after labor day.. no more tea!!!" WHAT? What does it being after labor day have to do with having tea? Nope! You'll just have to wait till next SUMMER.
That's when I had to really start making it for him myself. She's been gone now over 20 years...he still says YOUR Mom made the BEST tea!
