      And according to Corabi and what has been hinted at by other members of the band, "they weren't that sober!". What I mean is the intention was to stay sober, but it was (more or less) a merry go round of the members falling on and off the wagon the entire time and the band toured on two buses..Nikki and Mick were on the "sober" bus and Tommy and John were in the "drinking" one.. I believe the most sober member during these years was Mick!. Corabi has claimed he and Tommy drank on the bus, went to clubs, etc and Nikki was known then to fall off the wagon many times and later during the "New Tattoo" era, went totally off the rails with the drinking and blow, but contrary to what some think, claims to have stopped heroin in January of 88' and never went back!.

    I saw Ozzy twice with Jake E. Lee. He is just a phenomenal guitarist and musician. He is the only one who could play Randy's songs without sounding like he's attempting to put his own signature or copying the solos note for note. Jake is able to make them sound natural. As for the Ozzy and Sharon........probably the worst people in the industry. Or at least at that time. As said by Ozzy, "I want doe. I want lots of doe".

    • @dgenerated
      @dgenerated Год назад

      I guess if you blame one you have to blame the other as no matter how screwed up Ozzy was, he had many moments (from what ive heard) of clarity and sobriety and numerous members come to him over the years over royalty disputes and this is right out of Sabbath, when the band was supposed to be "Blizzard of Ozz", not a solo band and how every musician on those first few albums got royally screwed by the Osbourne's!. I reference this era as im most familial with the shenanigans that went on during this period and all the shady business deals of Sharon Osbourne, who was/is obviously the mastermind and she is her fathers daughter, so much of this is to be expected!..The Osbourne's made a fortune in screwing over the musicians the wrote and played on these albums and I doubt over the years much changed in that department..

    I went to the show in Cleveland (Richfield) on Feb 7, 1984. What I remember the most was waiting for my other high school friends to pick me up. I got into the car and half-way to the concert I couldn't locate my tickets!! I panicked. I made us all drive back to my house in a snow storm. I remember running around my house like an animal looking for my tickets! Finally, in despair I faced my fate of going back out to my friends and telling my girl we couldn't go because I lost our tickets. I opened up the front passenger door and there the tickets were on the ground in the middle of the snow! I picked them up got in the car and said, "Got em! Let's go!!"
    That panicked state I was in I have never forgotten and forty years later I am nearly OCD checking my items before I get into the car.
    About the concert: I remembered thinking that I am watching a rock legend in Ozzy. His voice. At the same time I also remember we all joked about how he was an "old man" which is what he looked like next to Vince Neil and others on stage. Ozzy was 36 at the time.
    I don't remember being blown away by Jake E Lee like I was with Randy but it was a good show.

      They did what kiss has been doing since they started...relying on hype because the talent is long gone.

    I'd say ozzy and Nikki were acting like idiots, they weren't acting.

    Saw the tour stop in Memphis. Mick Mars was the only member of the Crue not too fucked up to pull it off. Ozzy’s band was great but he also was in full buffoon mode. He sang the same verse for the entirety of the song “Believer”. I was f’d up as well, just not on their level. Scale of 1 to 10?…4

    Im always a bit disappointed in Ozzy when I hear things like that. But bad alcoholics do embarrassing shit. I think hes a pretty sweet guy at heart overall tho. It is disappointing that they shafted the people saving his career too. She seems to have a spending problem. Its unfortunate he has not been unbefuddled enough to do something about some of this stuff.
