      @brandondickie3456 2 года назад +7

      @@michaelehrhart9670 yep. People say Ozzy got blown off stage by Metallica back then, and that might be true. But it wasn’t because ultimate sin was bad. Besides the mixing and the fact the lead singer and main figure of the ‘Ozzy’ show at that time was fresh out of the Betty Ford clinic, after missing the writing for the album because he was still in the clinic, and just was overall a mess, the album was amazing. I believe Daisley’s and Jake’s part of the album (everything except ‘shot in the dark’) aged a lot better than ‘shot in the dark’, and that’s not coincidence. They got blown off the stage because Master of puppets was/is something divine. There was NO competing with that.

      I had a brief tryst with metal in the 80s, punk was more my thing, but damn, Bark at the Moon is still one of those songs that just bludgeons me with awesomeness every single time. The guitar at the beginning of the song is just about one of the most bad-ass ever. The solo is fantastic and bassline playing as the solo progresses just kills and to then revert to the riff of the start of the song to come out of the solo? Insane. And the outro guitar? daym...it's as if an algorithm of awesomeness came up with the song...

      I love and respect and miss the shit out of Randy, i really do... But keep on dreaming he was an other-worldly player, Jake s playing s from another planet, you're just a Randy s orphan as we all are, but too proud to say that Oz s best axeman s Jake, not Randy, and i feel you, but PHUCK u, Jake s got, objectively, the soul, the chops and the creativity granting him the upper hand. Only thing Randy s got on Jake, while with Ozzy, is his melodical crafting to compositions, but on solos and technique, Jake s waaaayyyyy ahead by his own right. Now, Randy s playing, had he stayed with us, would be, i bet, clearer and more melodically oriented, he picked up neoclassical heavy rock from what Blackmore left, and he d be an american perfect timing to save yourself era Michael Schenker before Schenker arriving to his McAuley Schenker Group days. Randy s style and playing was as formidable as it gets, but Jake was THE shredder humbler, bigtime. The most original and formidable axeman, in this style back then, period.

      @@nathaninostroza7655 Between 1980 and 1984, before Yngwie made it big, i don't think there was anyone in Jake's league really, not even EVH himself, he was off the charts. And by the people in the business he was rightfully considered "the best guitarist in LA" at that point, confirmed by mister Greg Chaisson himself.
      I love Rhoads writing and what he created with Ozzy, Diary Of A Madman in particular is a masterpiece, but really just watch and hear the live performances of both guys, Jake is on another level technically and shred wise, much cleaner and more accurate player.

      I disagree! Jake and Randy wrote the music. Bob wrote some of the music,but there's no way he came up with riffs like Bark At The Moon,or Crazy Train. Bob also tried to manipulate Ozzy into getting rid of Jake,so he could be the sole songwriter.

    Jake E Lee is and has always been my favorite guitar player from Ozzy Osbourne's solo band. Bark At The Moon album is the first Ozzy album I ever listened to back in the mid 80's at nine years old. I was already a Hard Rock/Heavy Metal fan before I listened to it , but it made me become a huge massive fan ever since. Bark At The Moon album changed my life, and it is still just as amazing today as it was when I first listened to it over 35 years ago.

    I met Carmine Appice, just after he left Ozzy, he did a drum clinic in my hometown in about 1985. He was in King Kobra at the time. He had a big cherry red, double bass drum kit. He is a “killer drummer” and he has a great voice too. When he played without the PA system, you could feel the floor pumping with his heavy feet. Very nice guy, I couldn’t believe I was talking to the drummer of “Vanilla Fudge” - “Keep me hangin on”.

    When I first heard Crazy Train, I knew that's what I wanted to do. Mr. Rhoads inspired me to play the guitar. He was the best at writing compositional music, being classically trained. That being said, Ozzy's music had more energy with Jake than any of his other guitarists, because of Jake's unique techniques. And both are masters of their craft. I will listen to Jake's era if I want a blast of energy, and Randy's for some brilliant musical compositions. Some days I prefer Jake over Randy, and I hate to admit it, but it is more enjoyable for me to listen to.

    His riff and pull of neck bend show how play whit out a tremolo!
    I started playing a Gibson les Paul 1978 and soon after this I swapped over to a 1959 stratocaster who I'm still own today!
    Master class.......
    Best regards from Sweden 🇸🇪

      Twotontessie still is.hes playing like he did back in the day again.remember when was out of music all them years there was a two year period that he didn't even touch a guitar.his comeback was awesome and now he has his flexibility back in his hands and fingers and is kicking ass all over again proving each show that Ozzy is a dipshit for firing him because he didn't want to give him his credit for writing back at the moon and pretty much everything else on both albums they did together.ozzy and Sharon can go eat shit for the way they did this guy fuck them

    Jake здесь чертовски хорош, но обратите внимание и на барабанщика; здесь стучит Carmine Appice, он снимался в клипе О zzy "Bark At the Moon" 83,и больше на видео с Оззи нигде не запечатлен, за исключением редких эпизодов. Ветеран американского хард~рока, игравший во многих известных гр. С Оззи он посрался и был заменен на Randy Castillo, тоже известен в "тяжелой'тусовке.
    Ну, а Оззи, как всегда великолепен!

    Jake is awesome . very much underrated guitarist. Incredible technique and this bluesy feeling. Rory Gallagher and Malmsteen in one man. Despite of this, Zakk Wylde was not able to play this stuff, but got an new style to the music of the band, which entered the doors to modern music style.Must be sad to such an incredible talent like Jake.
