There was the $1.02 Summer Jams , so many great concerts at Louisville Fairgrounds. My favorite was Black and Blue , Black Sabbath and Blue Oyster Cult... you had to be there.
On this tour, it was Metallica that stole Ozzy's show. He was really phoning it it at this point. Ultimate Sin is a career stinker -- the Ozzy brand taken over by the marketing department.
Motley crue opening for ozzy had to be bad ass. I seen ozzy with black sabbath twice and as ozzy Osbourne once saw motley crue twice both great great shows fn awsome🤘

I disagree with your take on Jake. I love his playing, he knew how to cover those solos without fully changing it but also adding his own touches. compare his solo on Paranoid to Randy. Randy went out of key not sure if he wanted to piss off Ozzy or just he did not know what to play. Randy was better in the studio and can play unaccompanied stuff, but I feel like Jake was better live as his playing was much more wild, and unorthodox as he was influenced by EVH.
I forgot how much of a great showman Randy Castillo was behind the drum kit. Really charismatic, from the stick spins, and hitting himself in the head, all that stuff. Tommy Aldridge is a helluva hard act to follow behind the kit since Tommy is all charisma and showmanship behind the kit himself. Funny thing, Randy's double kick Yamaha drum kit reminds me of Tommy Aldridge's kit. Except it has a few more drums, and Zildjian cymbals instead of the Paiste cymbals, which Tommy prefers. I'm liking Paiste's great cutting power myself. Cuts right through all those amplifiers in ways Zildjian and Sabian just don't seem to anymore. Anyway. Phil Soussan is looking great here, that's for sure. He definitely has such great stage presence. I forgot Jake was there through a couple of personel changes in Ozzy's band. Was sorry to discover Don Airey wasn't playing keyboards on this tour. Oh well. Take what you can get. The band and Ozzy both sound great here, 80s hair metal fashions and hairstyles and all. Oh. And cannot forget to say Rest In Peace, Randy. He's drumming for the angels now. Right alongside John Bonham. (Also a longtime stalwart Paiste cymbals advocate, now that I think of it.)

Jake is smokin here. He is playing R.R . parts without a bit of a problem. In fact ,I hate to say it he sounds even better. He is cleaner then Randy , and throws in little fills that are in time and sound great, I am stunned.
I remember having The Ultimate Sin Vhs Concert Tape when it came out in "86" along with Dio's Sacred Heart video! To me The ultimate sin album would always be xtra special since i discover Metal around that time! I most have watched those 2 videos a thousand time! I ofcource went to see the Dio many times but only saw Ozzy until 1992!
The Ultimate Sin is my favorite Ozzy's record, Secret Loser, Killer Of Giants, Fool Like You, Shot In The Dark, the title's track, lots of great songs, and the guitar's playing is insane!

Howard Leeds randy only has mythical status because he wasn’t around longer...truth is for the type of music Ozzy wanted, jake was the better fit. He had style, the flare, and great at improvising.

Live you have to change keys to keep the drama going. Music is all about drama. Also, because they led from Iron Man he had to be in a lower tuning. Iron Man is ineffective in standard tuning if you want to get the whole effect.
The '86 Ultimate Sin tour was the last great Ozzy solo tour. It's been a steady decline since. After Jake left I never paid to see another Ozzy solo show. Sabbath yes. For me, the only legit solo Ozzy is with Randy or Jake.
Jake gets kicked out of the band cuz the dumb@$$ bassist convinces ozzy and sharon they don't need Jake anymore cuz the bassist wrote some of the songs on The ultimate sin and since it did well they didn't need Jake anymore who wrote most of bark and sin. So Ozzy fires Jake but lol unbeknownst to the stupid bassist Ozzy had thought about getting rid of him several times during the making of and touring support of Sin but that Jake kept telling Ozzy to keep him and which Ozzy did. But now without Jake there to protect him Ozzy kicked dummy bassist out of band and replaced with Geezer. Foolish bassist broke up great band because of greed and pride. Not totally his fault since ozzy did the firing but he certainly planted the seeds. That said the world was better off with 3 badlands albums and 2 very good zack albums.

Jake gets kicked out of the band cuz the dumb@$$ bassist convinces ozzy and sharon they don't need Jake anymore cuz the bassist wrote some of the songs on The ultimate sin and since it did well they didn't need Jake anymore who wrote most of bark and sin. So Ozzy fires Jake but lol unbeknownst to the stupid bassist Ozzy had thought about getting rid of him several times during the making of and touring support of Sin but that Jake kept telling Ozzy to keep him and which Ozzy did. But now without Jake there to protect him Ozzy kicked dummy bassist out of band and replaced with Geezer. Foolish bassist broke up great band because of greed and pride. Not totally his fault since ozzy did the firing but he certainly planted the seeds. That said the world was better off with 3 badlands albums and 2 very good zack albums.
