      @@theshiznick67 100% true. However, it appears that Osbourne has backtracked and given songwriting credits to Lee and Daisley for that song. At least, that's what Wikipedia said. They should have been credited for writing the WHOLE album... there's no way Ozzy wrote all that by himself.

    • @shawndressman614

      Think about it the most iconic opening for a metal tune as we all know is Randy’s
      Crazy Train it has been played at almost every sports venue since it came out its been known and loved by millions around the world

    • @johnhagan582
      @johnhagan582 2 года назад +5

      Yes it definitely is . But several of songs from those first two albums are just as iconic like Crazy Train and the gong and opening fiff to I don't Kno and that wheel spin and rif at the beginning of Flying High Again . I actually think Randy's riffs are more identifiable than Jake's . Think Zake playing is probably more distinct than any of Ozzys past guitarist .not better than Jake or Randy but Zakes pentatonic picking is so identifiable from the first few notes on any of his songs .

      I liked the music Lee brought to us for sure but for one thing, live he didn't sound 'right" It could have been gear or venue it was at the US Festival 83, outdoors and all. It wasn't bad, just odd. I saw Randy x2, Zakk x2 and Jake x2, in each one Jake was a bit off from the recorded stuff. Randy was flipping perfect in everything, Zakk could ad lib well and early on just SHREDDED raw guitar tone. Jake sounded like it wasn't tuned right and like he was playing through heavy flanger, maybe phaser and while he hit the strings in awesome fashion it just sounded odd. Mind you, I was 16 and it was 1983. lol

      I believe it’s because he’s got a natural voice and not one that was “worked on” in the sense that the singer was trying to find a voice to set them apart. I saw Ozzy live back on the No More Tears tour and Alice In Chains opened. Layne and Ozzy killed it and you could tell Ozzy was just singing instead of “vocalizing” like a lot of others do. That’s my opinion anyway. Layne had a natural voice as well. Neither one ever lost control.

    4:36 that guitar needed a cigarette after that.
    Also at 4:44, when I say that Jake E. Lee’s guitar playing transcends his era, THAT’S HIM TUNING HIS GUITAR ON THE FLY, and every. Single. Time. He would do crazy shit like that, he would mail it dead on. He was an engineer almost like EVH was. He didn’t just play guitar. Jake changed his guitar.
    4:56: he hits a harmonic note, then bends the string behind the nut at the end of the guitar neck, which makes him be able to bend the string without killing the harmonic ringing.
