In this exercise video Meredith is guiding you through an advanced level HIIT (High Intensity Interval Training) cardio workout using resistance bands for added strength training. This workout is part of our popular "No Squats, No Hops, No Floor" series which means all movements are designed for safety and minimal impact on your joints and muscles.
HIIT exercises are a great way to build up your cardiovascular health as it uses short periods of intense exercise followed short periods of rest. This kind of activity is great for blood flow and breathing work. This routine is also incorporating resistance bands for additional strength building during the movements which also is an added benefit.
This is an advanced level workout so be sure to preview this video before hand to see if you are able to perform these movements. Remember to always go at your own speed and never force anything that may cause pain or discomfort. Take water breaks when you need to and have a great workout!

I did not think I was going to like this workout, probably because I haven't worked with bands much and only at PT. But this was a good workout. By incorporating the bands and doing the movements while standing, and your reminders to tighten up the stomach muscles and keep proper form, I know I'm also exercising everyday muscles that I don't give a thought to, and that's a good thing. :)

My therapist asked if I had trouble w exercises that crossed the midline of my body. It's because trauma especially in dealing w ptsd keeps you in one side of your brain. Now I can laugh through doing it since I get some things take time 😂
