- Judge Maya Guerra Gamble reprimanded right-wing conspiracy theorist Alex Jones, saying he violated his oath to tell the truth during his defamation trial. The trial will determine how much in damages Jones will have to pay Neil Heslin and Scarlett Lewis, the parents of Sandy Hook shooting victims, who won a default judgment against him earlier this year. #CNN #News
The lying is bad enough.
But the blind cruelty, for whatever reason, by people like Alex Jones is not only immoral, it is inhumane.
Years ago little sinister punks like Alex Jones were dealt with very severely and very brutally, and it wouldn't take a court or a judge to set things right. He would be made a very serious example of.

10 Years ago I lost my son during his senior year of high school. He was playing soccer at an away game. Mid run he just collapsed and died. After the autopsy was concluded it was determined he had a heart defect. Needless to say ever since that day for the rest of my life I will never be right. Luckily my community surrounded me with true agape love. Which is why I can at least function. What I don’t understand is how there are always the people who make it their objective to make other people suffer after the loss of their children. Nothing about that will ever be even remotely OK. People in the comments message I’ll call a bunch of Infowars lunatics. It’s about money. I’d like to conclude by wishing this pain and suffering on no one.
I think it must scare them. It reminds them of their own mortality and that of their loved ones. There are egos that are so fragile they must convince themselves they are immortal. Peace be with you.

This is, obviously, quite a different thing, but in one way similar... When I was seven, I was to get a little sister. I was so happy and excited and told the other children in school, of course. But then, she was born too early, and only lived three days. (That was more than twenty years ago, the preemie care back then was not as good as now, maybe today she would have made it). I was heartbroken and when I went back to school and told them what had happened - which I felt I had to, because I had told them I would have a sister, you know - one girl said she didn't believe it and I had only made it all up. Like, invented that my mother was pregnant, too, and that there had never been a baby. I freaked out and yelled and cried. I think I even tried to hit her. Somehow, to me, that was the worst idea anyone could have suggested. That she was never real. It felt so terrible, I never forgot it. And mind you, she only lived for three days. To have someone say that about your child that you had for more than six years... I can't even imagine.

She called objection then sustained it, she clearly played prosecutor over judge, there is also a huge conflict of interest where this judge should never have resided over this case. Every person deserves a fair trial even someone like Alex Jones, I mean even his lawyer was working against him.
As a parent who lost her only child, the parent testimonies just tear me apart. During yesterday’s testimony by one of the moms, that mom said so many of the things that I’ve been feeling and trying to say. She said there is no word for the type of person who has lost a child, as there is for a person who lost a spouse. Also, when people ask how many children you have, how do you answer? I still haven’t figured that one out. Do I have any children? I raised one. But he’s not alive anymore. How am I supposed to answer.
But for these Sandy Hook parents: this horrible man and his followers amplify those feelings so profoundly it could drive one to suicide. Honestly. We bereft parents want to keep our children’s names alive. We like to talk about them. We love to hear their names and others’ memories of our lost children. We need to know our children’s lives mattered. To be told that your children’s lives are likely unreal. To have to feel like you have to prove that your child even EVER existed? It’s so wrong that it should be criminal for someone to perpetuate such things. I wish for Alex Jones to lose his platform. I wish their were a way for this court to be able to do that. But yes, he does still have his right to free speech. But not this type of speech, as I hope he learns.
May I copy and paste this to Alex Jones' Facebook page? My wish for him is that he becomes increasingly unable to live with himself. He is a prisoner of his own evil. Oh, my dear, I am so sorry! I have a friend who tragically lost both her daughters, her only children. She has turned her grief to love and compassion just as you and the Sandy Hook families have. As a parent myself....it just hit me again the utter HELL that these people endured....and I shed a tear. And for this guy Alex Jones to COMPLETELY politicize this horrible event, and ADD to their grief....that indicates to me that this callous jerk REALLY needs to be taught a lesson!! Alex Jones claiming "I never meant to hurt" is the same as the SHOOTER saying "I NEVER MEANT TO HURT."
"Remorse" is suspect when you only show it when you got caught.
He DID intend to hurt, and profit from it, and based on his behavior in court, he still does.
Since Jones profited from people's pains and used that tragedy for his own personal gain, it is only right that those profits be taken from Jones and given to those he has harmed.

These ppl showed him so much compassion after all he has done to them. She offered him water, because he was coughing and they both shook his hand. He went on to his show and insulted the father. He implied the guy was being manipulated and was on the spectrum. There is no bottom for ppl like him or his supporters. No decency. What 's even sadder is there are so many others like him that it made him a millionaire several times over. What does that say about us as a society.

The other good thing is that the plaintiff's are well funded and can keep his feet to the fire. He can't stall them out of court or bully them.

When you lie in court you get refered for criminal charges right?
When a parent loses a child they grieve three times not just once. They grieve for the loss of their child, themselves, and the situation. It should always be met with compassion. To do otherwise is to invalidate that child's life. I realize your pain is your pain, but I extend my sympathy to all of these parents.
