This gave me the outline and confidence I needed to make Mexican style rice with brown rice instead of white to try to make healthier choices! Thank you ❤️
I love how you featured all of the ingredients in the beginning. That is super helpful. This dish looks delicious. I love Mexican food and always have to have rice on the side!
Sarah Casto Awww 🥰 thank you for your beautiful comment and for watching my video it is very helpful to mention ingredients at the beginning even for me when I go back to my own recipes 😂❤️
I'm excited to try this recipe, I love rice, i'll not be able to use so much garlic or jalapeono's bacause of my digestive issues but I will try this. thanks for doing it in time so we could see the process.
@@hearviewb123ontarget Thank you so much for watching my video, I truly appreciate it. Just in case you need to add extra water or leave the rice more time is up to you. Since is brown rice sometimes it might need extra water or extra time to cook more softer. You can always change any of the ingredients 🤗
Maria Guzman Thank you for always watching and for your support. Gracias por tu apoyo hermarna. Saludos a todos y muchas gracias por mirar mi vídeo 😊💖❤️
Yup. Lol, I have the jasmine rice, which I love. But I need to try it with the brown rice so my family can eat more healthy. Thank you. I enjoyed the video.
Thank you so much, for watching the video. I hope you like the recipe if you feel like the rice is hard, just leave a little longer until you see is soft. You can always let me how the recipe went. I'm also in Instagram @nutrylily if you ever want to send me a photo of the brown rice or any questions just send them to me here too. Thank you 🤗
@@nutrylily I literally just finished eating it and it was delicious. Thank you again very much. I love your soothing voice and will definitely be watching more of your videos :)
It just takes practice to make it, and adding small amounts of water if it needs more at the end. Thank you so much for watching my video I really appreciated. 😊
Thank you for the video, I love my own mexican rice but was wondering if it could be made with the brown rice as a healthier alternative...I am just going to add the spices I would normally use, cumin and garlic salt in addition to the ones you included...
Hi! Thank you so much for watching the video, truly appreciate it. Yes, it can be done with brown rice for a healthier alternative, you might just need to get used to the texture and taste. Also it does take longer than regular rice 45 or more depending how much you make. Definitely you can add your own ingredients, too 🤗
Blk 48 The rice has a different flavor than the white rice. I already got used to it because I really try to eat healthy, not perfect 😂 but I try. To be honest some brands of brown rice have different tastes. I usually buy mine at ALDI or in Trader Joe’s. Is just your preference. Thank you 😊💖
TY for the video. Only confusion is frying the rice vs rinsing. Do You still rinse the rice and let it drain before adding or skip that step and just fry it as dry rice?
Thank you so much for watching the video 🤗. If you want to skip that step is fine, you can just fry it when is dry. Also if the rice is still hard leave it for up to 45min depending how soft you want it. Let me know if you have more questions.
Yummy! I love Mexican rice! I just never knew how to make it. I am definitely going to be trying this! Can you do a video on the cheese dip they have at the Mexican restaurant?? ☺️ Store bought never taste the same
Hi, thank you for watching I put it on low simmer. My stove has number so is about in level 2. Regular stove it’s on between medium low. Hopefully this helps, let me know 😊
Thank you so much for watching the video! Is actually your preference of how much oil you want to add. If you want to add 1 TBSP that’s totally fine. 😊
Do It With Rina Hi! I usually don’t precook the peas they are frozen I just give it a quick rinse and put them in the rice to cook there. That was a great question 💖 thank you so much for watching 😊
@@nutrylily i get peas ( fresh + frozen) and I soak them overnight and then pressure cook for 6 whistles. Even then it doesnt get properly cooked thats why I asked you how you cook the peas 😊
Thank you so much for watching my recipe truly appreciated. Sometimes I use the frozen ones, I wash them before putting them into the rice and it works wonders. Try the frozen ones and see if it makes a difference. 😊
QUESTION! Does your jalapeño tree attract any insects or bugs and if so how do you get rid of them? I wanna plant some vegetables but i know they some attract more bugs than others
Hi! Thank you so much for watching the video truly appreciated 🤗. I believe we don’t get insects with the jalapeño plant, but just in case my husband puts cal mexicana, is the powder to make tortillas is something more natural to add to the plants. Let me know if you want to see a picture of the Mexican Lime powder, I can send you a picture if you have Instagram, my account is: nutrylily.
Hi, thank you so much for watching the video, you can put as much as you want. Start by adding 1tbs to 2tbs and add more if the rice starts getting too dry. Thank you 😊
Thank you so much for watching my video truly appreciated. Yes, tomato sauce will also work for this recipe. If the rice is still hard leave a little longer brown rice tends to be harder. 😊
You can leave it for more time and just add water when is almost done. Sometimes I leave it up to 45minutes and if water is observed I add more water and check when it’s soft enough then turn off stove. If you have any questions let me know please 🤗💖

Thank you so much for watching truly appreciated. It’s simple to make, just add extra chicken broth if you feel your rice it’s still a bit hard.
