  • In this video I break down how I charge customers for a custom shirt. I only charge for Material Cost (Blank T Shirt and Vinyl) and charge for my Labor (how long it takes me to design, cut, weed and press)

    I'm only half way through the video... you hit the nail on the head... this is exactly my day... 2 orders... 1 @60shirts... 1 @34 shirts... both needed redesigning from the designs they set... and BOTH wanted a logo on the back. I design slow... therefore I won't charge by the hour... lol... I let both company's know... this will add additional funds as well as another day. Both agreed...

      Congratulations! 👏 How did you get them to order from you? Do you do vinyl or transfers? How much will they pay for their order?

      I charge initial design fee for eg 25.00 depending on design and then 25 setup fee which is for turning that design into a cut or print design for use on whichever cutter. These are one off costs and then the rest is charged per shirt for the printing and pressing and ink etc printing in multiples etc.

    So on point 💜💜! I like that you don’t give specifics in certain areas of this business. The knowledge that you share with us is invaluable but people should understand you still have to do your own research and learn through their own experience and adapt to the business practices that work best for their personal situation. You have definitely taught me about knowing my worth but not over promising and under delivering. 🙏🏾 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾

    Appreciate the knowledge man, I just started shooting photos and video of my T Shirts but im using printful for now. I was thinking about charging 30 dollars for the T Shirts I'm selling. I came to this price because I want to profit 10 dollars on T Shirts that seems reasonable to me.

    Hi BB. Do you have a pricing chart for standard EasyWeed HTV ? I do contract work and I would love a simple formula that I can plug the numbers in. For example: 50 decals 5" x 5" one color (labor not included) Thanks for you input!!

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  3 года назад +2

      i have a video showing how i break down vinyl cost. but i do not have a chart or list for that kind of stuff. if you wanna make one on your own, figure out how much your vinyl cost. break it down by yard then break it down by foot and then break it down by inch. theres your material cost. example 15"x5 yard roll of decal vinyl is $15 that comes out to $3 a yard. 3 ft in a yard thats $1 a foot and so on and so on.

    Hey man Love the videos. I know you like the alstyle 1701's, I was looking at the alstyle 1301's because of the larger sizes and it is a 6oz instead of a 5.5. Are these shirts comparable? Thanks for your time man appreciate it

      yo i got vids about both shirts. hahaa type in "Big Brandoh Alstyle" in the search bar. the vids will pop up.

    Thanks for this video with honesty. I just came across this video. I know you don't speak specifics and I hope my question doesn't come off as being specific. This is where I get confused, if I know my worth and I put a cost on it (labor cost), how do I factor that in with the customer cost? I hope this makes sense.
    For example: for custom design I charge $15/hr (labor cost) and my material cost is $5 (include vinyl, blank tee, shipping, and taxes). Do I just add those 2 numbers together to get the customer cost? If so how do you make a profit?
    Thank you in advance

    what about the other video you have where you talk about how you price......gotta be consistent to be reputable

    • @BigBrandoh
      @BigBrandoh  Год назад +1

      custom shirts vs. contract printing vs. retail pricing are all different. different businesses, different over head, different customers. my reputation with my clients is based on my service not on my pricing.

    if a kid can get the same price as you right off the bat more power to him. It all comes out in the wash, so to speak.

      hahaha yeah that aint somethin i can stand behind. set a kid up for failure or set a kid up for success? i say this in alot of my videos, i dont get rich off of one transaction, i make my money on returning customers.

      i dont know. how long does it take you to make that hoodie? what is your time worth to you? how much is the blank? how much was the vinyl? i cant answer these things for you cuz i dont know what you value your labor at. you have to factor all these things into your own pricing. know your worth and knowing your value is crucial when it comes to pricing
