It is hard. Some people were saying price based on stitches. Now I’m doing more like you do and I’m getting customers before I wasn’t. I was told to charge double for blank to replenish stock. It’s caused me to buy cheaper shirts…so far people are ok with it but once you add digitizing that prices can get up there. I’m doing my best to price so I get lots of business but not so I’m working for free either, definitely a balance.
You're dropping gems in every video, will you be at ISS Long Beach this year?? Will it be a good time to check out the LA fashion district that weekend??
Where did you get 320 I did the math and it was 100 dollars hats and 120 dollars labor and 20 digitizing .. total 240… where did you get the extra 100 ?? Thanks for the info
all vinyl cutters come with their own free software to create and cut decals. if your outsourcing to another company to have decals/stickers made, adobe illustrator is an industry standard software to use
@@BigBrandoh So I'm looking at New Era 9Fifty snap, so space available to embroider on is the distance from the front left side stitching to the right stitching? Is there a height restriction on most embroidering machines?
no i dont. if the mistake is operator error meaning i messed up. i wouldnt charge the customer for my mistakes. but when i order blanks, i always order over, incase i mess up. if i dont mess up, the extra blanks go on the shelf for future use.
I sell my hats for 27-30 bucks to leave room for discounts…if you selling your hats for 15 you losing out…you can easily sell them to any nieche for 20-25 bucks

Nice video! Do you ever build in the cost of equipment to help repair or replace machines when needed?
not into my per job pricing, not worth it. i price by volume so my bases are covered on the bigger scale.
What is the best program to put on your computer to make your own decals

I you may get this all the time, but what are the dimensions of space available for embroidery on hats? I want to create a template.
all depends on the hat. get the blank hat you wanna use, measure the front of it and then design to those dimensions.

Did you buy the heat press from HPN with Sure Pressure feature?
Do you factor in the cost of mistakes made on hats into your priceing?

Any profit on material? Wheres the business profit if you only charge your labor? How do you reinvest in business?
$120 was my profit. i can roll it back into the business, save half, go out to eat, use it on gas.
