    What about Electricity ? Heat Press takes 15 to heat up each use, how much to run 16x20 press for 1 hour ?
    - Gas ?
    - Bags ?
    - Tags ?
    - Business Cards ?
    all these need to include in your cost to know what your really spending vs profit

      That's really if you're working with an overhead. I do this from home so electricity really wasn't much more. Business cards are minimal when it comes to pricing so I don't count those. Bags are like $1.25 and I use tote bags. I pack orders of over $100 in them so the pricing also comes out minimal. It's too in depth in my opnion to factor in every single cost

    I’m confused. How is 10 x 12 2 shirts? Most shirts have around 8x8 or bigger design?

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  8 месяцев назад

      Just the example I'm giving. Sometimes a customer might order just pocket logos which you can fit multiple in smaller spaces. It really all depends on your job specifics.

    How do you calculate if they supply their own shirt?

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  2 месяца назад +3

      I just subtract what I would normally add for shirts from the pricing. So if I charge 18, I'd charge maybe 14

    How do you calculate it with smaller order like 2?

  • @DesTv.

    Sorry I don't have Facebook or discord so I'll just leave my questions here if that's okay . Your video is very helpful but there's still some things I'm confused about. When it comes to shipping costs when ordering materials like blanks or htv to make the products I'm selling, does the shipping cost come out of my pockets or do I somehow add that into the expense for the product i'm selling ? Also , what if I got a 3 foot roll and only used 24 inches for my design. Does that leftover 12 inches become money wasted ? If you're reading this and trying to help , thank you for your time !

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  7 месяцев назад +1

      Glad to help! So I usually include the shipping cost in the total price so it comes out of the customer. But then again, if you have a small order of maybe 2 or 3 shirts then you can't really do that since it would increase the price too much. What I did when I stated was just cover the cost of the shipping myself. Even if it cut into profit. At the end of the day, the next order I would get would bring in the profit and cover the other costs since I already had the material. So if you can, order larger quantities of the basic or popular htv colors to have on hand. As for how much to use, it's never money wasted since you have left over for a different job. Even if you don't use much at the start, by the end of the roll, you'd be in the positive rather than the negative in terms of profit. Hope that made sense!

    I’m sorry, I am having a hard time understanding this. I have a design that is 4.5 x 4 the vinyl is 15 yards but I’m still not understanding what I would calculate based on my measurements.

    So, we do not worry about width? Just length?

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  6 месяцев назад +1

      Hi! Thanks for watching 🙂
      I only go by width because in my case, the rest of the vinyl I didn't use will go into a scraps box and probably won't be used for a loooong time. And honestly it just simplifies it for me.
      Of course, if you purchase a large roll of vinyl, a small design like the one you mentioned won't make your money back when you calculate it. But after using a certain amount of the roll you'll see it adds up as you use more and more.
      I hope that makes sense 🙂

    Sorry my English so what I understand you saying I have to charge 7dollars for T-shirt with T-shirt and everything? That is kinda … super cheap I mean I’m wasting my time and when the logo requires Two colors and bla bla bla you say 0.50 for white ? I mean 12x12 htv costme like 3dollars mínimum and my T-shirt I bought from alibaba o other sellers cost like 2-4dollars and more the SHIPPING THN IS NO CHEAP … 7 dollars for T-shirt??? Nah

    • @NekoPrints
      @NekoPrints  8 месяцев назад +1

      It's OK! And no, the $7 is how much you are paying. You can charge whatever you want for the shirt. Maybe $18, $20, $25, whatever you feel is best. The $7 is what the cost is for you. And that is apporixmate. Not the exact price.
