You know what's even more crazy? The fact that no one ever talks about his defensive capabilities which in my opinion is one of his strongest assets and one of the best amongst the tennis world. His ability to go from one side of the baseline to the other so fast and with efficiency is so good and crucial to his game. Even if he's backpedalling or defending a super powerful shot that hits the corners of the court, he's still agile and quick enough to not only return the ball, but return it in a way that makes his opponents uneasy allowing him to recover and get back to the centre of the baseline. If any one hasn't payed full attention to this, I recommend you to watch Alcaraz's movement, especially when returning shots and try to notice his incredible defence to prevent winners for the opposition

One thing that no one ever seems to talk about is Alcaraz and his defensive capabilities which in my opinion is one of his strongest assets and one of the best amongst the tennis world.

The rest of the tour for the most part is hoping to hit a winner or get an error of their opponent without coming in.

Alcaraz played in God mode at times. Sinner played pretty much evenly throughout the match. So when Carlos lowered his level a bit Jannik was able to come back on the score.
They both showcased amazing tennis, but those peak moments by the Spaniard were just impressive.
I loved the match, like everyone after all.

Thats what I've noticed too, Sinner is more consistent, but when Alcaraz is in the zone he's almost unstoppable.

someone needs to hone Alcaraz a bit more.
the guy can win using half the energy he currently does.
he needs a coach who understands this and helps change.

The big three were something else, but i think it’s time to recognize that this is a new level of tennis, a sport that as any other, evolves. This was an otherworldly display. Comparisons are a lot of times detrimental, but the baton has been passed in spades.

Alcaraz is a special player! Happy that he won this .him winning this actually is important. Some people really forgot how good of a player he is because of the rough past few weeks he had ... ppl started overly criticizing & nitpicking everything he does as if he is not one of the best in the world right now .Ppl tend to forget what he achieved at 21 years is nothing short of extraordinary. The players are humans too .even with the year Sinner having & alcaraz having rollercoaster kind of year , he managed to go 3-0 against him. The way sinner is playing even with all things he is going through is very impresive . Hope everything gets resolved as soon as possible & ppl stop attaching everything he does with doping ... Its getting ridiculous. These two gentlemen are supremely talented & kind .wishing them nothing but to be healthy & play some amazing tennis.

Carlos is much better when he is motivated, which is often when he is behind. When he leads he tends to release his focus a bit. But when he has to play well at all costs, he delivers.

@@ali...1237you are too biased. You also have to think about the fact that the indications for alcaraz from his coach were to hit every ball as hard as he could from every position. So he was clearly taking many risks. This isn't a video game were you just have to press something to hit a perfect shot from every position
