These two will be rivals for a long time. Glad to see a new generation of talented players who will have many years of tennis ahead of them and more exciting games against each other.
People forgetting just how Good Carlitos was until Wimbledon last year and also in large parts of 2022. No guarantee at all he beats Sinner, but he looks more like his old self in Indian wells. Total coin flip.

Completely agree. I stopped watching him after his recent struggles; but watched some of his Indian Wells matches and was reminded why when I saw him at the U.S. Open vs. Sinner in 2022, I thought he had the most raw talent of any player I'd ever seen. Obvious Sinner's climb has been relentless, but Carlos at his peak is better than anyone in history. And I say this as a HUGE sinner fan. Alcaraz simply has the most complete game of all time. I have never seen anyone put so much pressure on other players and be so DEMORALIZING in his defense.

if there's one player that has read the book concerning alcaraz, it's Sinner..at times he makes Alcaraz look uncomfortable and awkward.. great match!!
It's true. We should remember too though that Sinner is almost two years older than Alcaraz, and look at the huge strides Jannik has made in just a year. This rivalry could go anywhere. Thrilling to watch it evolve.

Its not on purpose. It happens naturall when you're swinging hard off the back foot. Every pro on tour hits that shot at times. Its just a question of how open they get into a situation where they need to hit like that.

It looks like Alcaraz's supernatural recovery shots in the first two sets hurt him physically in the end (maybe the ankle or the foot) and it's pretty clear to see in his movement. It's just too bad because he played so well and would have gotten that extra nobody else has to beat Sinner.
