Self Release Your Lower Back in Seconds

- Dr. Rowe shows a lower back exercise that may end in a satisfying self pop, crack, or release.
This is known as the corkscrew, and it's a great daily mobility exercise that can be done in bed.
It requires no equipment and may help release muscle tightness, aches, and stiffness in as little as 30 seconds.

One night I was worry because the next morning I had to work and my lower back was hurting me, and I found this youtube video, I did the exercises and the next morning I was fine, I thank very much the effort to help people, God bless you.
One thing I love about your videos is that there isn't a lot of preliminary talking. You're always into the exercise/stretch itself within the first 10 seconds. Thank you very much for doing your channel because it has really helped my lower back.
I find it helps if you also breathe in deeply before you do it. The added pressure from my expanded lungs makes for a better pop sometimes.

It just wasn’t a severe injury because I’ve always stretched since the second time I broke my back and still have severe issues 20 years later
We do this in the Army everyday. It's called the Single-Leg Over.

I do this type of stretch every day. I love the big pop I hear every time. 😍 Wish I could afford the Chiropractor but this really helps get me through the day, though.
Look up “the joint”… I have a monthly membership with them for only $69. I get four visits a month. So you can go each week 😊. It’s very affordable.
Practicing this daily now, and it relieves a lot of pain.

I'm a gymnast and dancer with a lot of pressure on my back. i do this every night and breath deeply in it. i find the pressure to help the cracking and create more relief

I actually do a version of this -I don't have enough room to stretch my arm out so I have to improvise your recommendations to accommodate cramped quarters -it's really effective! I combine this with a curling of the lumbar move "to take it to the next level" which releases more impacted stress in my sacrum. LUV all the work that you've done and continue to do!
WOOOOOOOOOO just got a nice pop in my back! I knew to rotate my hips near the edge of the bed but didn’t know the arm and head trick. That’s what gave me the deep release. My husband heard it from a few feet away Lmao. thank you

This feels so good after a run
Omg why have I not found your videos so much sooner. Tried a few of them thry are great. I have a slipped L4 in my spine but not bad enough for surgery but the epideral has been eating away at the disc so my back always hurts and i broke my neck when i injured my back. You are life saver thank you so much for all your worl and making your videos

This is crazy bc you seem so calm with these movements and everyone I see stretching or cracking their back always seem so violent or aggressive with doing it. It always made me feel like it was as safe as stopping on a dime while going 70mph on a motorcycle.
Slow and controlled, the best way to do back exercises. Hope this one helps!

Thank u. I work on a farm. I did the lower back and neck thing u said. I used a cat to put under my neck instead of a water bottle. It worked well. And I thank u I have been in pain last few weeks. U didn't say to use cats. Now I'm all messed up with barn cat scratches:) I feel better now thank u. I forgot about butt stretching, I do all of them legs and neck stretching. As soon as I did what I said it made relief. I will use this video for life. I can move now:) keep stretching hope all is well, thanks man!

Love all your videos!! Can you do a video on pain all the way the right side of your body?? I lift and roll people a lot and I've been in pain for YEARS! It hurts on the right side of my body from the bottom of neck to my shoulder blade and rib muscles really bad lower back and all the way down to my ankle!! It always feels like my right side is so tight like it just won't relax!
That was standard warm up in basics before our morning exercises.

My lower back is hurting dieing to be poped and this didn’t work at all thanks a lot all it does is stretch my stomachs side muscle literally how is this supposed to pop my back didn’t work at all
I just happened to have your video come up at the perfect time. I herniated 2 discs in my lower back while giving birth to my 11#4 oz son. I have to be so careful with any lifting or my lower back becomes a fiery monster which it was today. .! thought I was going to need a walker to get around redbut I just tried this exercise and the pain has definitely improved greatly! I just subscribed and will be doing these exercises daily! Thank you for making these videos! Also a fellow Michigander near Coldwater.
