This is definitely the best piriformis video out now - June 22.
1.Everything is concise and to the point.
    2. He doesn't waste time with jokes and bla-bla, yet he is very friendly and accessible.
    3. He immediately states that the remedy contains two parts: stretching strengthening.
So many therapists don't state that, with the result that many people overstretch and never strengthen.
    4. Each excercise stands on its own with a clear beginning and end... and in between what you aim for.
    5. Duration of exercise and repetitions specified.
    6. The simplest and most accessible exercises were chosen, yet the ones that, in their simplicity, yield maximum effect.
    7. Filmed with different angles - so you really can work out what to do!
    8. No confusion.
    So very well done!

I totally agree with this! Not just stretches, but good exercises for the smaller muscles in the but. I've had piriformis problems since my teenage years. I've got very mobile joints and a naturally very flexible spine. My muscles need to work a little harder for that reason. The bigger muscles can handle this, but the smaller muscles often get overloaded. I've been doing rotator cuf exercises for years and this has been helpful for my mobile shoulders, but I had trouble finding good exercises for the piriformis. Most of the times they just tell you to train the big muscles like the gluteus maximus, but this completely useless in my case since they are already very strong. I do strength training 4-5 times a week and I'm going to add these exercises to my programm for sure.

About 4 months ago I started getting alot of pain in my lower spine, hip and leg which I assumed was sciatica. After a couple of months the spine pain eased but I was literally left with a pain in the butt which wasnt going away! I'd never heard of piriformis until I very luckily came across your videos about two weeks ago. It all made sense and I realised that after sitting on my butt for the best part of two years due to the pandemic I've done myself alot of damage. These piriformis exercises have shown me how much pain I'm actually in but boy are they helping. I'm still having pain but doing some of your exercises every couple of days is helping.
I have to be careful as I had an upper spinal fusion with rod 45 years ago (I'm 58 female btw). While everyone is different what I would say is all the exercises in this video I feel safe doing as they are lower body and love the fact I can do them on the bed before I get up!
Finally, thank you so so much, you're a lifesaver. Your videos are clear, concise and very easy to follow. I'd give this 100 likes if I could! Please keep them coming and if you could ever do one relating to scoliosis that would be amazing!!!☺️

IVE TRIED EVERY EXCERCISE ON RUclips INCLUDING THESE GENERIC BASIC EXCERCISES WHICH DOES NOTHING AT ALL TO HELP! That's why I find it really weird that people here above who've been suffering for a long time did 30 seconds of these excercises above and HALLELUJAH A MIRACLE,,, THEY'RE CURED😮!! YEA,, I'M SURE!!! NOTHING will cure pain that fast if the Pain is REALLY Severe,,

As I have been aging now 64 years old the pains in my body have been gradually increasing. I have been living with pains in my gluts, feet and neck for over a year. I thought the pains were from age, driving, sleeping wrong, and past overuse. I learned from your video that my pain is from my muscles getting weaker and I don’t have to live with it. I researched and found solutions for the pain in my feet. Through that research RUclipss algorithms recommended your video to me. Before watching your video I thought the pain on my right glut was from either sleeping wrong or a bad mattress . Your video convinced me that I was wrong. . The progressive pain has made me feel older and is tiring. It is preventing from doing things that I enjoy. The pain has been compounding because without taking care of it I am becoming weaker. I tried stretch exercises and discovered that my flexibility has declined significantly. I am confident that overtime following your instructions will make me more limber, stronger, feel a lot better and feel younger. Thank you!

It always starts of with my left buttock going into spasm where the piriformis muscle is. Some of your stretches really felt good for me. Sometime the spasms resolves. But sometimes if I can’t get it to calm down I get extreme burning sharp pain right above my coccyx. When this happens i get into terrible pain. I have started these excercises and I will bookmark your video. The strangest thing is one day it just happened and I’m really hoping you are right that I can get rid of this forever. I just drove 4 fours last week to pick up my kids from university without a "pain in the butt". My suggestion is to stop doing any activity with the legs and butts that may trigger the problem like deadlifting or running for about a month until you feel 75% better than gently getting back to yr routines. Use that time to work on the upper body and strengthen your core. I added martial arts groin and leg stretching exercises too.

I used to not be able to walk the day after completing a class at the gym, took doctors years and still no formal diagnosis. It’s been so disheartening. Anyway, tried these for the first time 2 days ago after finding your video. Very sore the next day. Hips lock during some expertises and some sharp groin pains. Just done them again now. Praying the pain will go for good. I have a lot of hard work to eradicate the years of pain. So happy to have an option other than surgery to try. Love the detailed explanations and that you go slow enough so I can pause to complete all the reps. Thank you so much.

Did something to my lower back (left side only) right around my waistline area deadlifting about a month ago. Have been dealing with some stiffness/lingering pain/soreness since then. Finding you channel and these exercises have been my only saving grace for relief!! Thank you so much!!!!

What if the clam shell November , first repetition, already triggers more pain? Shall I still continue the whole 15 reps?

Hello, I enjoyed this video & am sharing it with a friend complaining of severe hip pain. I have noticed my spine, neck & hip pain gets worse if I don’t stay at least mildly active, meaning if I spend two or three days laying around & not using my muscles all my aches and pains scream for attention.

I saw your initial video picture and it looked like where I was experiencing pain. Just wouldn’t go away. I watched and immediately participated in the stretches…the pain was not as noticeable. I plan to do the exercises as well, fingers crossed this eliminates what I’ve been going through. Thank you!

Dr. Rowe! Miracle! The only treatment that worked! I tried acupuncture, physiotherapy, years of yoga, pilates, loads of medication, nothing worked. First time doing your video and instant relief. I'm going to work on the strength exercises and fingers crossed my lack of estrogen due menopause will not stop me to get a bit of muscle. Thank you so much!

I've never listened to anyone speak so articulately and without a single blip or stumble over words. Incredible 🫨🫨
3 years of pain (diagnosed hip impingement yet piriformis symptoms (?)). Right side.
Thousands of pounds later, after chiropractor sessions, massage, dry cupping, private physios....and I'm no better at all.
Every day is miserable and takes every bit of my energy to get through it. My hip also needs clicking a few times a day by externally rotating it whilst standing. It feels like it constantly gets stuck.
Every now and then it flares up so bad it prevents me from weight bearing. My glute (also right side) is constantly aching, has a numb feeling and cramps. Piriformis or hip impingement?? As I'm still no closer to an answer, despite this diagnosis. Everything I've tried hasn't worked.
I'm here in desperation after so many treatments, and after watching so many videos, all which fail.
50 year old female - previously very active.
    Help 🙏

Hi Doc .. I had this pain yesterday while walking home. Never had anything as painful as this. I could hardly lift my right leg up and step on my right foot .. 🤦🏻‍♀️ .. Home .. had to literally crawl up the stairs. Couldn't go to work today .. and thought to search for an answer here. Happy that I found your videos .. and desperate to be loyal and do it. Thank you for sharing step by step. Really appreciate. 🙌🏻
