This coaster is so different than the typical coaster I think it would be in my top 10 easily
It’s very strong. Most comparable to something like Kumba imo. It does have a nagging vibration that takes away from the experience a little bit, but other than that it’s absolutely fantastic.
This coaster looks amazing sounds so smooth the first inversion and drop is awesome and the ride stays intense to the very end

It’s literally sorta new and it’s never open …. So the paint held up well

Had the chance to finally ride this just yesterday. Wait was an hour and a half but it was 100% worth it.
I went on Thursday. I went into kennywood with a fear of roller coasters, only going for my friend and I left riding it. I think I had a better time on it than her. 100% worth the over hour long wait we did

Yeah it’s huge. It’s also like 70 seconds long and loud af.
I rode this 1 Hour after it was closed for maintenance. The scariest part is the 1 Minute lift hill and the possibility of having to walk down haha. Very fun ride and lots of inversions.
@@gogousa6661 As an employee at the park I've done test rides before where they stop you on the lift! It's pretty cool being that high up, and you can even feel a little of the ride's sway from the wind!

Went to Kennywood back in the 1980s at an A.C.E. (American Coaster Enthusiasts) event. Great rides but sadly never have been on this one.
It only opened a few years ago

I wonder why this coaster doesn’t get more recognition. I live in California but just happened to be at Kennywood on the day this coaster opened. Didn’t even wait that long for it :) no grand opening or anything, they just opened it and we rode!
During Halloween they can give it a horror theme by renaming it “Iron Curtain”.

So, I would have to compare cause they both have great drops but is Gatekeepers or this first drop better?
GateKeepers feels a DROP, Curtains is almost more akin to Dragster where youre spiraling down because od how the track-twist is profiled, but you more notice yourself inverting than you do dropping. I like the winged trains with these dive-drops, they just go so well together. Not having track below you I think really helps the disorienting effect these kinds of drops produce. Both are phenomenal in the back row

I have been on both many different times and I would have to say steel Curtain has a better Drop. They feel similar but I think curtain is better and more unique.
