    i think the minute the instructor basically threatened to fail her at the beginning, she felt anxious and began making mistakes. it’s understandable why she got the deduction, you’re supposed to drive slow in a parking lot especially if there are pedestrians. however i don’t think the way he warned her helped during the test. i’m grateful that i had a driving instructor that was nice and understanding and when he tested me he had the same attitude. good attitude = good driver = pass test. i’m surprised she passed but hopefully she improves the more she drives.

      Okay, so he/she was going 2 MPH faster in the parking lot, and he advised him to slow. The driver wasn't going that fast, and there wasn't anyone there, other than a car or two parked. Everything else was fine other than the long delay to turn left at near the end, but, I do get why he did, he was so paranoid of this test driver, he figured he'd wait. If that intstrutor wasn't in the car, do you think the driver would have waited so long? Helllll noooo!

    After 5 fails I finally got my license! It’s pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn’t necessarily mean you’re a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You’re bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 years then I renew again.

I also get anxious but I do not blame my instructor, if I know I am anxious, I shake it out and rub my hands on my legs at red lights to get any sweat off of them and take a few breathes. He treated her fairly and I would not want to be tested by someone who sugar coated my actions, when I know I am using a heavy operational machine that can harm or kiII people, he did his job and she has one more chance to take the test and pass, I think the student driver needs more practice and ways to ease their anxiety, we cannot see how she was handling the wheel, left/right signal, or the gears so let’s not judge and blame the examiner for the student driver being a risk to people around them if the student driver makes a mistake.

    I'm just gonna say this. When the examiner freaks tf out and get mad it makes most extremely nervous and unable to focus especially if they were already nervous to begin with. The first time I took it I had the most rudest examiner ever. Yelled at me because she wanted my dash cam to be completely removed which was literally installed into my tail lights. Couldn't remove it so basically broke it and shoved the camera inside my car then I complemented her hair when we got started to lighten the mood and she didn't even say thank you she just looked at me like she didn't gaf. From there she criticized every small thing I did on the road and it caused anxiety and errors I usually wouldn't make but I got so out of character because this person was on my butt and commenting on every small thing I did. I mean really lady you're supposed to give me directions and judge my driving not yell at me and tell me every error I make while I'm trying to focus and stay calm. I get it we are supposed to drive well under stress but my goodness some of the examers are complete jerks and feel like they also disregard people with anxiety disorders who are just trying to survive life like everyone else. Im pretty good at handling mine but when i can tell someone doesnt like me to begin with then it makes me worry. She literally made me debate on if I ever wanted to drive again tbh.
    The 2nd time I got a nicer woman who mentioned that that same lady basically fails almost everyone 😂 go figure. I passed ! I also found out that it wasn't necessary to break my dash cam because I only needed to just unplug it and didnt need to remove the camera etc that lady was so extraaa and most likely just wanted me to cancel the test

      whats crazy is I live in washington and most people agree we have the strictest driving test in the country, but with the way the test is laid out you can literally fail *all* of it as long as you don't break a law between the testing section (parking on hill, backing round corner, parallel parking, lane changing and turning.
      Each section is worth 5 points, and you start at 100 and can lose up to 20 points (resulting in 80) before you automatically fail. So you could completely fail all four sections losing 5 points each and still pass as long as you're perfect between each section.
      As a student I thought this was super strict, but as a driver with a few years of experience now it seems borderline insanely lenient. And to think most think it's the strictest in the country...

    • @cieliacasaway745
      @cieliacasaway745 2 года назад +2

      I agree that the tone and attitude of the examiner can make a big difference for a nervous driver. They might not even be a nervous driver, just a nervous test taker. If they're not ready, the student driver will fail no matter what but it doesn't cost the examiner anything to be more friendly and not threaten the student by saying they'll stop the exam.

      @lotus4699 2 года назад +4

      @@gardenstatePR @Garden State NJ "You kinda have to be a bit firm with these road tests some people don't take it seriously". Yea no wonder, I can easily make the argument that the reason nobody takes driving tests seriously is because people like this driving instructor don't know how to properly educate them about it without yelling in into their ears and trying to control them with fear. If you continue to just control somebody with fear, in what world are they going to learn? They're already nervous as it is due to it being a test, yet it makes it 10 times worse when the examiner acts like a toddler and gets mad at you for every single thing you do even if it isn't that big of a deal. So while you're over here thinking "Wow I must've really taught them well" they are scared of you and most likely never want to work with you again. Then we wonder why unemployement is so high and ect. How can someone be so ignorant? It boggles the mind, I mean common sense should tell you that people learn way more from being a role model.
      No one wants to learn from the mean old grumpy dude who doesn't care about job and only does it for the money. If that's the case how about you go get a different job since your current one is so "stressful". Stop acting like examiners are marines over here fighting for our country. They get an easy job that most likely pays way more then it's supposed to. Maybe if they were a little more motived and had a better attitude the examiner wouldn't have this problem of people being in so much fear they can't even drive properly.
      This girl was clearly in the wrong and they still let her pass, which even further proves my point.
      "most people don't take driving tests seriously" most people? Where in Miami? Most people who are trying to get their license have been studying and putting in as much work as they possibly can to pass that test knowing if they don't they have to pay for another one. Why would someone go through all that trouble of paying for more and more appointments if their goal wasn't to get their license?

      @@lotus4699 you know I originally intended to agree to disagree to your reply, but after re reading this a few more times you’re right. I think the issue is that instructors are a bit harsh. My instructor was fantastic and I remember being so calm and clear minded during it and I passed with ease. This of course is not the case with other peoples experiences so I was being a bit naive. I do however think that people should have to take a road test every few years to renew their license like most have to do with other forms of machinery or equipment (forklifts come to mind) but that might be a bit too much. But he’s you’re right driving instructors and those who conduct tests should be a bit nicer.

    When i took my driving test the first time i had an instructor who must've had a bad day. Dude was throwing unnecessary comments and trying to bash how i was driving even though i was being 100% aware and careful. He even went as far as randomly hitting the brake when i was making a turn when it was safe for me to turn knowing he didn't need to.
    We got back to the spot he went on a 5 minute rant on me being difficult with him. He was throwing his arms around and yelling. All the other instructors and students saw this. I told him if he was miserable he can quit his job no one pays money to deal with people like him. I guess it struck a cord in him and he stood quiet. Ended up getting out the car and forcefully slamming the door behind him with both hands.
    Some of the other instructors noticed and flagged down the supervisor to speak about what just happened. On the drive back my instructor got a call and from someone saying the guy apparently got sent home and terminated on the spot.
