Agreed. First of all, they said that cutting off a cyclist is an automatic fail. There was no cyclist. Second of all, cutting into the bike lane over the solid white line illegally has a way higher chance of causing a bike to be cut off and/or being struck.

Do not carry with you an expectation of failure… but I will say if you make a mistake (like me) keep that “I’m gonna pass” mentality. I took mine today and passed!! Don’t stress guys, it’s a short period of time. Check mirrors, breathe, make casual conversation if u can, and take deep breathes. They want u to pass!!
After 2 fails I finally got my license!🥳 It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again. My little advice. * If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.

I'm gonna be 27 and still don't have my license because my family always keeps me inside the house. Luckily I applied for jobs to find my way out of this cage. Its been a horrific process for me, i have failed thrice and not like i am proud of myself but i think sometimes the evaluators knowingly fail you so you could retake and it lines their pocket doing that. Speaking of which, i would love to know if getting the whole provisional license thing is legit because i would need you to point me in the direction of the professional.

But at the same time, I believe that some of these errors that you're marked down for are so trivial. Why do you need to check your left shoulder for bikes? Its not like any unseen bikers can bike 40+ mph and catch up to you.
My advice, don’t speak unless spoken to. Not every instructor is this nice. Mine definitely wasn’t. When they get into the car just say “hello, how are you?” and not a peep after unless spoken to. When you are given a command, say it in your head. Then in your head say what you need to do to follow that command. Ex: “turn left on sunset”. In your head think “turn left on sunset so I need to turn my blinker on, slow down as I approach the turn, and make sure it’s safe to turn”. This helped me a lot so I didn’t forget any steps.
My instructor sounded mean initially (strong polish accent and was very direct). I picked up on the accent being eastern European and inquired more. After she told me she was from Poland, I pulled out any and all knowledge I had about Poland. I started talking to her about anything I knew about Poland and Polish culture etc, and kept talking to her about it. She became extremely warm and nice to me during the ride from then on. She passed me even though I made some mistakes like rolling through a stop sign. I would say it doesn't hurt to try to talk to your instructor, they're human after all. Just don't keep pushing if they aren't reciprocating.
Today it was my test and it sucked, I was about to start by backing up from the parking spot and I checked my mirrors and there was nobody and as soon as I backed up a lady started to do so too, but I was focused on my left side so I bumped into her, she was really nice and apologized to me for that happening on my very first time and she gave me a hug, even the cop, but lmao I didn’t even get a chance to drive, got immediately disqualified, I felt so stupid lol
If you're even looking up how to prepare for the test, trust me you're gonna pass. It shows that you care enough to do some research. So go get that license!

I just passed my test with zero mistakes! MY ADVICE IS TO NOT GO OVER THE LINE ON THE STOP SIGN. Traffic Checks- Make sure you are alert of your surroundings ALWAYS ALWAYS LOOK OVER YOUR SHOULDERS WHEN CHANGING LANES. Reversing- DO NOT LOOK IN REAR MIRROR, Look behind and right mirror. SPEED LIMIT.

Damn your driving instructor was so nice and patient. Mine called me “a nervous wreck” and scolded me several times to slow down, even thought I was going 5 miles under the speed limit the entire time. At least I passed lol.
Sometimes it's the little things that get you, like when I drove over the inspector's foot as he was checking lights. This made him grumpy I could tell because he immediately told me to put out the weed I was smoking. So I bent down and stubbed it out on my shoe bottom causing me to pass a stopped school bus. I only hit one kid in a kind of glancing blow but the inspector had a bad attitude and I didn't pass. I guess it's the luck of the draw with which inspector you get. I'll try again in five years when I get out of jail.
To everyone who has to take a test soon, I believe in you all and I think the hardest part is overcoming your nervousness. I’m a wreck myself but I thankfully passed last week and realized it wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. Just get enough practice. Goodluck !

You’re nervous until your actually in the car. I took my drivers test a couple months ago and boy was I nervous. As soon as I was about 10 minutes into the drive, it felt like I had done it a million times. My driving instructor even told me he’d be comfortable enough to fall asleep while I was in the wheel. It’s all a mental game guys, you just have to over come it! Good luck to anyone who’s taking theirs soon!!!
If you know how to drive, and can manage stress, you’re gonna kill that shit. I wouldn’t consider myself a great driver but I passed with only 3 points off. Everyone reading this right now who has their test coming up, you’re gonna do just fine. Trust me.
@@samantharaedunn I am absolutely terrible under stress like this. I failed my first test because of this said stress (I made a lot of stupid mistakes). You will probably be fine as you said you have been practicing a lot. If you fail your first time, the second time is much less stressful as you know what to expect. A tip, If you get there early, have your parent tail someone who is taking the test so you can see what the route is like. (MAKE SURE YOU ARENT SEEN THOUGH lol)

@@Deadricblood I misjudged where I needed to stop for a light at an intersection (I was unfamiliar with the testing area). The road was under construction so there were no lines painted to designate stop line/crosswalk and the light was opposite the intersection so I couldn't use it to gauge very well. I ended up with my nose in where the stop line would have once been and it was counted as running the red.
When you've done your test 3 times, practiced several hours, read through the handbook and still lose all sense of knowledge when you step into the car because of your crippling driving anxiety

Best thing is to always stay alert on the road. I learned when I was a teenager by my old man that it doesn't matter how good you drive it takes one dickhead to either ruin your week or end your life. But like anything else the more practice you get the more comfortable you get also.

Tips: Know the speed limit (They ask you sometimes what the speed limit is, DO NOT guess), good following distance, good round turns, stop before the stop sign, say out loud: "Clear left, clear right" at a stop sign (some make you do it, some don't, they appreciate you doing that.

Yes, I'm from Sweden and got mine last summer. the test requirement is about the same but we have to go on the highway and do a roundabout and reverse behind a corner. Also pretty much everybody drives manual here so you have to worry about managing the clutch and change gears as you are super nervous you can barely hold your foot still.
Bro I just did my second drivign test and it was ez but I got one critical error lane violation. I swear I’m good at driving idk what went wrong . The test was so ez too but I failed a 2nd time. They also said I was inch out slow from blind spot or something? All I did was stop at a stop sign and after crawled up to see if there were cars and I failed like how am I suppose to know if there are cars if I can’t crawl up?

Tip: just drive, dont think about passing the test, you already know the rules, just drive. The instructor is only a GPS. Make smooth and consistent inputs, ive been driving since I was 13 and have studied many techniques for racing and thats given me much confidence i would recommend everyone to learn the basics of vision and car control and go try going above your comfort zone in a parking lot or an empty road. its all about confidence. I'll be getting my license in January finally!

Did my test for the first time a couple days ago and failed, the instructor was rude and would give directions right before I had to execute them. When I asked for clarification he got flustered and started yelling. Hoping the next test I get an instructor like the one in this video, I know I'm being tested but at the same it doesn't help to stress someone who is already nervous and stressed. Didn't get it till 25. I know age is embarrassing for some things like driving but no one knows your story. Any age (above 16) is a good age for a license
Why do I even look at tears? What a good examiner, responsible, considerate and sensitive to the student's feelings. My examiner yelled and made exaggerated arm movements because there was a bump and I didn't slow down in time.

I passed my test with 2 errors first try an hour ago and the only advice I can give is stay calm and know what you’re doing. I was nervous as hell the night before and the same morning. I realized how good my ability was at driving so obviously I took advantage it. Pay attention and keep your eyes on the road at all times. Do all of the necessities and stay calm throughout the exam. My instructor sounded mean initially (strong polish accent and was very direct). I picked up on the accent being eastern European and inquired more. After she told me she was from Poland, I pulled out any and all knowledge I had about Poland. I started talking to her about anything I knew about Poland and Polish culture etc, and kept talking to her about it. She became extremely warm and nice to me during the ride from then on. She passed me even though I made some mistakes like rolling through a stop sign. I would say it doesn't hurt to try to talk to your instructor, they're human after all. Just don't keep pushing if they aren't reciprocating.

Today it was my test and it sucked, I was about to start by backing up from the parking spot and I checked my mirrors and there was nobody and as soon as I backed up a lady started to do so too, but I was focused on my left side so I bumped into her, she was really nice and apologized to me for that happening on my very first time and she gave me a hug, even the cop, but lmao I didn’t even get a chance to drive, got immediately disqualified, I felt so stupid lol
He said “Lets go get your license!” I want that same energy today !!!!

I passed today and had 2 errors. Surprisingly during the test I wasn’t nervous at all in fact I was more nervous the night before. Whoever sees this you’ll pass trust me, just stay calm and breathe it really helps. Good luck.

Check your mirrors / over your shoulder
Signal your intentions(use your signals)
When the instructor tells you something, repeat back what they said to do so you're on the same page.
Instructor: "Make a left turn at the light"
You: "Okay, make a left turn at the light"

Sometimes it's the little things that get you, like when I drove over the inspector's foot as he was checking lights. This made him grumpy I could tell because he immediately told me to put out the weed I was smoking. So I bent down and stubbed it out on my shoe bottom causing me to pass a stopped school bus. I only hit one kid in a kind of glancing blow but the inspector had a bad attitude and I didn't pass. I guess it's the luck of the draw with which inspector you get. I'll try again in five years when I get out of jail.

As soon as I was about 10 minutes into the drive, it felt like I had done it a million times. My driving instructor even told me he’d be comfortable enough to fall asleep while I was in the wheel. @@samantharaedunn I am absolutely terrible under stress like this. I failed my first test because of this said stress (I made a lot of stupid mistakes). You will probably be fine as you said you have been practicing a lot. If you fail your first time, the second time is much less stressful as you know what to expect. A tip, If you get there early, have your parent tail someone who is taking the test so you can see what the route is like. (MAKE SURE YOU ARENT SEEN THOUGH lol)

@@Deadricblood I misjudged where I needed to stop for a light at an intersection (I was unfamiliar with the testing area). The road was under construction so there were no lines painted to designate stop line/crosswalk and the light was opposite the intersection so I couldn't use it to gauge very well. I ended up with my nose in where the stop line would have once been and it was counted as running the red.

Best thing is to always stay alert on the road. I learned when I was a teenager by my old man that it doesn't matter how good you drive it takes one dickhead to either ruin your week or end your life. But like anything else the more practice you get the more comfortable you get also.

Tips: Know the speed limit (They ask you sometimes what the speed limit is, DO NOT guess), good following distance, good round turns, stop before the stop sign, say out loud: "Clear left, clear right" at a stop sign (some make you do it, some don't, they appreciate you doing that.

Yes, I'm from Sweden and got mine last summer. the test requirement is about the same but we have to go on the highway and do a roundabout and reverse behind a corner. Also pretty much everybody drives manual here so you have to worry about managing the clutch and change gears as you are super nervous you can barely hold your foot still.
Bro I just did my second drivign test and it was ez but I got one critical error lane violation. I swear I’m good at driving idk what went wrong . The test was so ez too but I failed a 2nd time. They also said I was inch out slow from blind spot or something? All I did was stop at a stop sign and after crawled up to see if there were cars and I failed like how am I suppose to know if there are cars if I can’t crawl up?

Tip: just drive, dont think about passing the test, you already know the rules, just drive. The instructor is only a GPS. Make smooth and consistent inputs, ive been driving since I was 13 and have studied many techniques for racing and thats given me much confidence i would recommend everyone to learn the basics of vision and car control and go try going above your comfort zone in a parking lot or an empty road. its all about confidence. I'll be getting my license in January finally!

Did my test for the first time a couple days ago and failed, the instructor was rude and would give directions right before I had to execute them. When I asked for clarification he got flustered and started yelling. Hoping the next test I get an instructor like the one in this video, I know I'm being tested but at the same it doesn't help to stress someone who is already nervous and stressed. Hoping I get lucky with my next instructor!

For anyone taking test: Remember to look over your shoulder when merging into bike lane to make a turn or anytime you have to turn into bike lane to get to another lane. That is why I failed the test the first time. Treat bike lane like an actual lane. !!!!

I passed my test with 2 errors first try an hour ago and the only advice I can give is stay calm and know what you’re doing. I was nervous as hell the night before and the same morning. I realized how good my ability was at driving so obviously I took advantage it. Pay attention and keep your eyes on the road at all times. Do all of the necessities and stay calm throughout the exam. My examiner was really chill so that eased my nervousness fully. Stay confident and don’t let your nervousness take over you. Good luck to anyone who has their driving test soon. You got this!!! :)

For anybody taking their test , I took mine today and some tips are
Make conversation with your instructor, it makes the environment feel more friendly and relaxing , like you’re driving with a friend! Ask about their day and ask how many tests they take per day etc. Why they like their job
Check your blind spots even if you feel like it’s unnecessary!! And make it dramatic to make sure they see
Make sure you go slow on turns
The best way to possibly pass is to tell yourself you’re okay and it’s better to get it done now than never.
I was super stressed and felt like puking before my test but once you get into the car you feel much more at ease
