I guess what the examiner was trying to say is that she started slowing down while still on the fast lane before making a turn on the slow/turn lane. You should start slowing down after you have entered the lane where you should make the turn from.
While her errors were minor, they are enough to piss other drivers off because they are unpredictable and hold up traffic. You can drive faster than what she was driving and not be reckless. When you are driving, you need to have a balance of confidence and cautiousness. It's basically homeostasis.

I passed the test on my third attempt (last week), and my advice is to just don’t think to much about the fact that it’s a drivning test( easier said then done) I was so nervous the first two attempts that I started imagining how it was to fail the test. The third time I instead told myself that there was no reason for me to fail as I knew how to drive, and it totally worked! @@boithefinger6535 I passed with 0 errors, you just need to practice driving in the same area as the dmv and drive before your test to warm up. That’s what helped me a lot tbh
For me it’s mainly been anxiety thing, anxiety for car accidents mainly hasn’t made me wanna get in the road that much but I have tried this year and had the worst driving instructor and when my mom tried to teach me, she only made my anxiety worse. Unortunately I needed my license sooner because of few reasons, which I later got after the help of a private licensed DMV attorney who helped me write a provisional letter to bypass to the drive test and now I got my license. Now I can still learn how to drive in my comfort time with a person of my choosing, till I gain enough confidence to be behind the wheels.
It's great to hear that you've overcome your anxiety and obtained your license! For those who have faced multiple failures, it's important to remember that everyone learns at their own pace.
Wow, I totally relate to this! Sometimes it feels like everyone else has it all figured out, but we all have our own challenges. I’ve failed 4 times, and it's definitely not easy to pass.
It’s been pretty horrific for me, either I was with a bad supervisor or I’m just the problem, failed thrice and I gave up on driving test but seeing this now, I feel slightly relieved that it was possible. Now I just need you to help me.
I got my permit at 16 and I'm now 18 and I'm so scared of driving I never went back. I probably need to tho cuz my permit expired and it's not like I can use it for the rest of my life but I also can't even park a car. So they'd probably fail me if I went since I haven't even been on a road with more than one lane and I need my license for my car insurance. Please can you recommend the test drive attorney who did yours?
I have my test in a week from now. These videos definitely help me feel ready and confident. I learned how to navigate left turns at intersections, the pre drive inspection, being vigilant with your mirrors and looking over your shoulder, and much more. I really appreciate the help you gave me and many others. Update: passed with a 95/100
Don’t stress it, drive like you would normally,m. My test was 8 minutes long and I drove 35 or 38 mph on the streets lol they didn’t care. Remember to stop before the white lines and don’t freak out on turns. Scan the area and proceed normally. Just don’t accelerate too hard neither accelerate to slow. And also if you’re concerned about turning, I never used both my hands to turn. I turned with one hand like I usually do and they didn’t care about it. And I don’t mean I drove with one hand on the steering wheel, when you’re not turning and driving straight use both hands. Good luck!
I passed my driving test on the first try watching these videos! Thank you!!! I had a pedestrian jump in front of my lane from an island where there’s no crosswalk and an accident happened in an intersection just as I was going back to the dmv. I really thought I failed but I didn’t!! I tried to stay calm and drive as normal. To everyone taking their test, exaggerate all head movements and check your blind spot!!! Stay within 5 miles of the speed limit plus or minus. Come to a full stop before the limit line and look left, right, left then go when safe. Make sure you do your traffic checks before going on a light in case of red light runners/ pedestrians. Signal anytime you lane change or make a turn, when you signal you need to do your S.M.O.G. Signal, check mirrors, look over your shoulder and go when safe. Make sure you enter the bike lane before making a right turn!! You have do your s.m.o.g. And enter when you have the dash lines for the bike lane. Drive safe and good luck everyone!!! 🚗
@@joseguelen5979 it seriously happened. The pedestrian was someone waiting at the dmv so they crossed the street from a center island to the dmv. So they crossed paths with me since I was driving near the dmv. I took my test where it was busy with cars and people so it’s not uncommon for people to jaywalk. The accident was a weird instance but still not out of the realm since there was traffic.
From a 17 yr old girl who passed and was NERVOUS for test day: 1. make sure to schedule during a good time that is not so busy, I chose like the earliest time and the roads were not as bad 2. get in good amount of practice before hand 3. watch these driving test videos good luck u got this :)
Failed my first, critical driving error, failed to check bicycle lane before merging to turn. I am re-testing tomorrow because literally, had I not made that error, I would’ve passed and got my license. This may seem small and some would say stupid, but the truth is though that, imagine if there was a bicyclist there, and I really didn’t see, that would be terrible PS: I got my test done at the Charmichael DMV, and all of the Examiners are SUPER NICE, oml! My examiner Brian, delivered the best encouraging vibe during the exam.
@@andyfridays5253 Great’ i took my second one and failed unfortunately. I believe it was the examiners fault though, she clearly wasn’t in the mood to examine others. Literally, if you treat others the way they want to be treated, then, without a doubt, things would go more smoothly.
My test was today at this location and I passed . Some tips to past: - Make sure to practice a lot before your test - Be nice to your instructor before the test. It will make the atmosphere less awkward. - During the test, be CONFIDENT. You got this!
I feel like her being extra cautious on those narrow roads were a good thing, the instructor was definitely being a bit harsh for docking points for that. But overall I’m really glad sis got her licenses! Good job girl!👏🏾❤️
Tip for all the peeps taking their road test, drive tons the day of your test, let whomever took you there to drive to get the last bit of practice in before your test, so you’re calm, collected and refreshed. You all got this! Most importantly, good luck! I passed 09/14/2023 at 30 years old. If I can pass, so can you!
I just want to say that because of watching your videos I passed my physical driving test today. I am officially a licensed driver. I am so excited. I am so happy and I would just want to say thank you for having these videos out there for us to watch you’re amazing.❤❤
OMG I PASSED YALL, remember to stay hydrated, but not too much water because you might need to pee! remember to check your mirrors and everything y’all, good luck ;)
I passed my test with no errors and I had one week of learning on the road. Only was on the main road once. Y’all got this! I now drive myself to work and everywhere. It’s been a week, I’m doing just fine!
This lady should not be a driving examiner at all ! She deducted points every time the girl was being cautious and I feel like she crushed what little driving confidence this, overtly nervous, girl had.
Yes, I feel she was mean. Being cautious and a defensive driver is good. No need to be out here speeding and tailgating people. If the person in front of me is going under the speed limit either it's cause there a hazard up ahead, Traffic, On their phone, etc. Just keep your space and you'll be fine. I think the girl was doing fine for the most part. Even when she slowed down to change lanes people do that all the time. Just need to be sure no one is behind you if you will do that otherwise just speed up or wait for a gap.
So it’s the instructors fault for the girl being nervous? maybe gain more confidence before taking your driving test. They’re not gonna hold your hand when you do this
I was stress-watching videos like these last night but I passed today! You are going to feel like you don’t know enough and that you’ll fail but let your skills take over and you’ve got this!
I got so annoyed with the examiners tip of staying in the center of the lane, how was she supposed to do that when there were cars blocking the lane?!! What the heck
Well you have to stay as center an you can. The driving was clearly nervous and i wouldn’t put in past them to go to much into the other lane. It’s a fine tip. Not like she’s failing cause of it.
I passed my commercial drivers test on the 3rd attempt earlier this week. With a truck I never drove before and a rude instructor :( but I stayed focused and just got the job done.
For those who see this, I was paranoid to no end when I took my test, like white knuckles from gripping the wheel so hard, but I passed, with only two deductions, for shoulder checks. You can pass, you can, it’s all just a mental game; best of luck!
I passed so easy!! I recommend going to a driving school, instead of a dmv to do the test. They are way more chill, and i noticed some things that the dmv would’ve failed me for, that the school didn’t. The instructor just said i need to work on some things and passed me, the test was literally 5 minutes.
Dang. I learned something important from this about not slowing down for red lights too early. I always enjoyed the slow crawl to a red light thinking that the person behind me shouldn't mind cause we're going to have to stop anyway. Now I see that's selfish and causes problems for other drivers.
Depends. If the person behind is riding too close for comfort I would think it to be wise to slow gradually a little early to give them a hint. Other than that yeah it would probably be a bit much.
@@nanc2236 i was just nervous. the first time it wasn’t really my fault. i did good but at the end she had to tell me to stop for a stop sign that she thought i didn’t see and the last time i was just really nervous and got too close to a car.
Man watching this video made me realize the examiners at my DMV are actual robots. I think that contributes a lot to my nervousness, they show absolutely no indication of whether you're doing well or not, and there's no small talk either. I can understand the small talk part, but when they're all just reading off of the same script incredibly fast and they're basically barking the directions at you, it's hard to NOT be nervous 😓😖
@@Chippy451 I know it's not true for all instructors, because the instructor in this video is nice. That's why my comment said "at my DMV" in particular, I WISH I got one of those small talk instructors LOL

Passed on first try at DMV whittier! 28 years old and just started driving 3 months ago when i got my permit. One week before my actual behind the wheel test i had anxiety and nervousness and i cant really sleep. Just had 4 hrs of sleep everyday for 1 week lol just for the 15 mins of behind the wheel test hahaha. Thanks God I passed on the first try and won't feel the same anxiety and nervousness again. Advice: Don't think of the test too much as long as you have practice driving. I know you can't stop yourself to feel nervous and it is completely normal, i am actually shaking on my test but one thing you need to do is focus, Choose the time that is not busy on the road when you get your appointment schedule. When there is a sign "keep clear" dont step into it. Note: on Laurel street there is keep clear sign. Dont step into it until your light is green. Just wait on the white line before keep clear when the light is red then yield to the cars in front let them go first. The test is so easy dont overthink. You can absolutely do it!!!
Don’t want to be one to brag but I was able to pass first try just because of confidence behind the wheel, as long as you’ve been driving for a while go into the test manifesting a pass. Treat it like another day of you driving just with someone else this time💯
@@nickwiggins2211 you were probably nervous trying not to speed and ended up growing way slower than you needed too, not a huge problem bro you’ll get it next time 💯👍🏿
I had my test today and failed because I accumulated 42 points. Passing is below 21 points. I thought I did okay but did really bad. Wish me luck for my next test!
11:36 - 11:39 Yes she made a fully complete stop, If you turn it back and look all the way to the right at the red side walk you'll see that the car had stopped and when it stopped it rocked back and when it rocked back than she accelerated.
Ok, places like 9:13 and 10:25 just piss me off. Why would the instructor act like it was her fault? Both times the cars were super far out into the lane. The first time she even made a comment but the instructor still marked her down. Seems unfair. I don't see how the instructor would have gotten around those any differently tbh. I'd rather go into the other lane a little bit than risk side swiping two different cars. Stupid deductions.
I passed my test today on the first try; YOU CAN DO IT! Just practice as much as possible with smooth turns and maintaining your speed. Don’t forget to just breathe, be confident with your instructor, and use common sense on the road. You’ll be just fine :)
I passed mine 2 years ago and couple days ago, I passed motorcycle test. I hope everyone will pass to get there driver license and drive safe. GOOD LUCK!
The only thing I disagreed with the examiner on was the speed through intersections. While yes, You don't come to a full stop if there is a green light or no traffic in front of you BUT, you DO NOT! go the same speed if it is 35mphs or faster, taking a sharp left or right turn at that speed is completely dangerous, you are either going to swerve the car into another lane, crash into someone, jerk the car to fast and hurt your self or passengers. When coming to a turn with a green light, at full speed, slow down a little bit, enough so you can make a smooth and controlled turn. A curve is different than a turn, dont mix them up. A curve is a smooth transition that allows you to go the same speed and slow down nice and easy. A turn requires you to slow down to some extent, unless of course the speed limit is around 15-25MPH.
Just passed, I only missed 2 if I could give any advice I would not worry about what the instructor is writing down just be confident and focus on driving well.
I take mine Sunday, I really want to pass first try...Got my permit back in July...Wish me luck I’ll update! Edit-I passed got 0 points for the parking and only 2 deductions for the driving part…Going to get my license tomorrow💪videos really helped
I know that feeling! I passed my drivers test on the third time! I went from getting automatic fails twice to getting a 100 on my third test! Just know that practice makes perfect 🙃
Just any fyi about the turning spped thing. You have to slow down a little bit to turn smoothly. Dont ever go into a turn at full speed, unless of course you were already going a slower speed like 35 minimum, where it is easy, smooth and safe to make turns. Dont try making a turn going a full 55...it wont feel to good and maybe it will be smooth but it is not safe what so ever. Slow down enough to make the turn smoothly, but do not come to a full stop unleas you have to.
I feel this instructor was a LITTLE too strict. Really glad she passed, though. I bet she drives a lot better when not under pressure from the examiner. When she slowed down a lot to do the lane change, though, it was kind of scary. It could've gotten her in trouble if someone reckless was behind her.
I passed my on 05-07-21(first try!) Just be calm. There’s no need to be nervous. When the examiner gets to you be as nice as you can be and just relax and do ya thing! Good and best of luck to y’all. You can do it!!!! Also if ur in LA county I suggest u either go to Inglewood or Torrance.(Did mind @ Torrance)
Congrats! I passed mine with first attempt 5 months ago and almost failed but I knew my rights and wrong. Please be safe on the road and don’t be those ppl who put themselves at high risk!
Your videos are really helpful. I been nothing but watching most of your videos to help me learn in hoping to past my road test. I'm in my late 30's who never had a driver's license. In the past few year's backs in my early 20's I have failed twice in my road test. I lost all confidence in pushing myself in trying again. It was not until I reach my late 20's when I decide in trying again. But I could not past the permit. After that I again put that aside and a few years go by where at 39 I about time, complete my driving permit and pushing strong in shooting for my driver's license. I have at least 3 months to work on it and take the damn road test. Please pray for me everyone. If you all don't see my update after my road test, please reply to me. Good luck to anyone at any age who about to take the road test and god bless.
@@aaabbb-vi1cp That's amazing congratulations. I am really hoping to pass just even the first time. Back then I did not look up youtube videos or online anything to help me. Matter of fact, I just took a few driving classes here and there and just rush right to it. But, I am working on learning the right way and get my license. :D
It is justified that the examiner is being harsh because she realizes that this driver is not confident and safe to drive. She should have practiced more before taking her previous tests
Most people failing just fail to move with the flow. Driving is not all about following the book. Get a feel for the car's acceleration and braking and learn to apply it smoothly. Dont drive like a turtle in traffic, look at your rear view then whichever side mirror and then blind spot before turning. Its just being logical to make sure you dont hit whatever
The big tip is scanning ahead. It’s easier to pass the test. That way when a turn, stop sign, pedestrian etc comes up you already see it. Drive the speed limit.

Great! I failed but that was over a year ago now, I feel like I have a fighting chance if I tried again. I just need more practice and to find a way to not let everything fall apart when the examiners are in the car. I’ve heard the new examiners (I’m told everyone has changed) are all pretty nice. The lady I got last time was unbelievably crabby and snappy. Rude right off the bat meeting me without any patience.
When I had the last driving exam, I had too little confidence. But I passed that exam. After a bit of driving experience, I had more confidence. Now I am a very experienced confident driver. Even when I drive in Western European metropoles.
The girl did fine. The residential area, speed bumps, no stripping, a lot of parked cars on too narrow streets, better to not insist on the right of way than to assume an oncoming driver will squeeze over -she wasn't sure -she did the right thing.
Edit: didnt pass because she had to stop the car at one point. We were 2 turns from the dmv. I was behind a student driver car and they were taking a while going right on red. After they went, I was already impatient and followed. Right as I did the cars making a left turn from the opposite side of the intersections light turned green and gassed it. They would have hit me if she didnt stop the car. It was my fault for pulling into the intersection because I was impatient. She said "you were doing so well" as she stepped out of the car. Hit me like a truck. But I rescheduled for this next thursday around the same time. Assuming it's the same route, I should be able to pass no problem.
Love how she deducts for leaving the turn signal on for a few seconds while she was distracting her with small talk on top of the nerves and pressure.... if you're an instructor stop talking let them focus

@@angelsweet9611 It’s not part of the test- mine kept quiet, as he should’ve. The test itself is different. There is pressure and nerves. Good luck to anyone doing their test soon! I passed a few weeks ago on my 2nd attempt but I still love these videos.
Conrats. Mine is in May so scared
What is the information of the attorney the helped you?
Update: passed with a 95/100
Best of luck!
Good luck!
Update: I passed with a 95/100
@@Waeffles_ congrats!!
Yeah right
@@joseguelen5979 it seriously happened.

From a 17 yr old girl who passed and was NERVOUS for test day:
1. make sure to schedule during a good time that is not so busy, I chose like the earliest time and the roads were not as bad
2. get in good amount of practice before hand

Failed my first, critical driving error, failed to check bicycle lane before merging to turn. I am re-testing tomorrow because literally, had I not made that error, I would’ve passed and got my license. This may seem small and some would say stupid, but the truth is though that, imagine if there was a bicyclist there, and I really didn’t see, that would be terrible
PS: I got my test done at the Charmichael DMV, and all of the Examiners are SUPER NICE, oml!

Some tips to past:
- Make sure to practice a lot before your test
- Be nice to your instructor before the test. It will make the atmosphere less awkward.
- During the test, be CONFIDENT.

I feel like her being extra cautious on those narrow roads were a good thing, the instructor was definitely being a bit harsh for docking points for that. But overall I’m really glad sis got her licenses! Good job girl!👏🏾❤️

I passed so easy!! I recommend going to a driving school, instead of a dmv to do the test. Unfortunately only some states allow this...

This video gave me so much anxiety. This is literally going to be me on June 15th. It'll be my third and final try. Wish me luck!

Dang. I learned something important from this about not slowing down for red lights too early.
I always enjoyed the slow crawl to a red light thinking that the person behind me shouldn't mind cause we're going to have to stop anyway.
Now I see that's selfish and causes problems for other drivers.
No bro you must drive 120 mph ignore red lights bc who cares it's lame stick your head out the window and yell gtf out my way show them you're alpha
Depends. If the person behind is riding too close for comfort I would think it to be wise to slow gradually a little early to give them a hint. Other than that yeah it would probably be a bit much.

Advice: Don't think of the test too much as long as you have practice driving.
I know you can't stop yourself to feel nervous and it is completely normal, i am actually shaking on my test but one thing you need to do is focus,
Choose the time that is not busy on the road when you get your appointment schedule.

Stupid deductions.
fr how they suppose to keep center if it’s blocked
Ikr? So I guess the examiner just wants the girl to be 1 inch away from those cars as she passes them

I passed today! I'm grateful for the videos.
I passed my test today on the first try; YOU CAN DO IT!
Just practice as much as possible with smooth turns and maintaining your speed. Don’t forget to just breathe, be confident with your instructor, and use common sense on the road. You’ll be just fine :)
Nice work!
I failed my test yesterday and I went today and pass it!! Let go!

Keep practicing - you can do this!

I have my test tomorrow, Friday the 26th. I'm hopeful
