      Congratulations on passing your road test! It's a significant achievement and a huge relief, especially considering how stressful the examiners can make the experience for new drivers. Do you have any tips for others who might be nervous about their upcoming tests?

    • @Rarisasa6846

      @@Canadiandrivers Thank you! Here are tips for new driver who are booking for road tests:
      1- Practice a lot and drive in the area where you are doing the test.
      2-Avoid focusing on the examiner's movement (writing), focus on the road instead.
      3- Be alert on school zones and "Maximum speed limit 30" signs because it an auto fail if you exceed the speed limit even 1kmph.
      4- When turning left, make sure you move when the traffic light turns yellow in traffic jam. If you stop and wait until the TL is red and the examiner tell you to go "you failed".
      5- Turning left is the most dangeruous one and it is the most important turns that examiners use to check your skills so be prepared for that in advance.
      6- Do a mock test 2/1 days before your test day.
      7- When turning left do not forget the TLP " On coming Traffic, Light, and Pedesttians.
      8-Do not slow down too much for no reason and do not speed up. Stay in the limit.
      9-if the examiner asks you to change lanes, do not forget to view the rear view mirror, Side mirror and shoulder check.
      Good luck

    My driving instructor voices his thoughts out loud when I make mistakes and it’s definitely not in a positive way. Makes me feel 10 times worse and nervous. I get I need feedback but to yell out loud “What is this girl doing?!” “What’s wrong with this girl?” “Oh My God!” does not help. I’m already a nervous driver and honestly have a hard time paying attention to my surroundings. I just wish I can pay attention to my surroundings better. Part of me thinks I have ADHD. Any tips?

    • @Canadiandrivers
      @Canadiandrivers  2 месяца назад +1

      I'm really sorry you're having that experience with your instructor. It’s not okay to make you feel worse when you're trying to learn. A supportive environment is key to building confidence, especially if you're already feeling nervous. If possible, consider finding another instructor who is more patient and understanding. As for paying attention to your surroundings, try breaking things down into small steps: focus on scanning intersections, checking mirrors regularly, and practicing in low-stress environments. Stay patient with yourself-you’re learning, and that takes time!"

    • @Canadiandrivers
      @Canadiandrivers  2 месяца назад +1

      Yes, even with a green signal, she should still check left and right for any potential hazards or unexpected cross-traffic. This helps ensure safety, as other drivers may run red lights or make unexpected moves.

    Hello sir, I have practiced a lot, I drive better when I am with another person, but when the examiner comes in the car, it makes me stressed. I took the road test twice, but unfortunately I did not pass. Can you tell me what to do to get rid of this situation?😔

    • @Canadiandrivers
      @Canadiandrivers  6 месяцев назад

      Thank you for sharing your experience. It's great that you've been practicing a lot and feel confident when driving with another person. Stress during the road test is quite common, and many people face the same challenge. Here are a few tips that might help you manage the stress and improve your performance:
      Practice Mock Tests: Try to simulate the test environment with a friend or family member acting as the examiner. This can help you get used to the feeling of being evaluated.
      Breathing Exercises: Before the test, practice deep breathing exercises to calm your nerves. A few deep breaths can help reduce anxiety and improve focus.
      Positive Visualization: Visualize yourself passing the test and driving confidently. Positive visualization can boost your confidence and reduce stress.
      Know the Test Route: If possible, familiarize yourself with the test route. Knowing the route can help reduce surprises and make you feel more prepared.
      Focus on the Road: Try to concentrate on your driving and not on the examiner. Remember that they are there to ensure safety and fairness, not to make you fail.
      Learn from Mistakes: Analyze what went wrong in your previous tests and focus on improving those areas. Constructive feedback can be very valuable.
      Remember, persistence is key. Many people need multiple attempts to pass their driving test. Keep practicing, stay positive, and you'll get there!
      Best of luck,

    hey Alex, how long does it usually take for a little to no experience driver to be ready for G2 based on your experience?

    • @Canadiandrivers
      @Canadiandrivers  2 месяца назад

      It really depends on the individual, but generally, for someone with little to no experience, it can take anywhere from 20 to 40 hours of practice to feel ready for the G2 test. Consistency and focusing on key skills like parking, lane changes, and driving in different conditions can really help!

      I'm sorry to hear that your road test last Thursday didn't go as planned due to speeding. It's completely normal to feel disappointed, but don't get discouraged. Use this experience as a learning opportunity. Keep practicing, especially focusing on maintaining the correct speed, and consider scheduling another road test when you feel ready. I'm confident that with your determination and continued effort, you'll pass next time. Keep your spirits up!

    what are the exceptions when stopping where there are no stop signs? (uncontrolled intersections and parking lots wise)

    • @Canadiandrivers
      @Canadiandrivers  4 месяца назад +2

      Great question! At uncontrolled intersections and in parking lots where there are no stop signs, you should always yield to the vehicle on your right if you arrive at the same time. In parking lots, be cautious and yield to pedestrians and other vehicles already in motion, especially when crossing main thoroughfares. When in doubt, it’s safer to stop and assess the situation before proceeding!
