This Friday April 7 hoping I pass last year of 2021 I failed but nearly passed it so hopefully I pass this time for sure
I was released from prison after serving 6 years and I failed the first four times I took the renewal test. I woke up this morning at 3 A.M and saw Liz videos and I started to watch all of them. I went today and I'm happy to say that I passed because of her and these videos. Legit and so happy.
And when I get home I get a call for a job that requires a driver's license so things are looking up because of Liz and these videos. Don't give up don't ever give up. You can do it. Believe me.

@@araceliperez6389 I don't think you know what adhd or autism is like. Its easier to get distracted and overstimulated while driving if you're adhd/autistic which can affect you, along with many other things rooted with those two disabilities

When I started studying for the test by watching your videos I realized there was a lot of stuff I did not know in question form. @@boouquetxo9282 Sorry. I responded back to Liz but on a different video i guess. Yes. Yes. Yes. I passed. Missed one. And Liz's easy-hard- and harder tests were the really helpful ones. There were a couple of the harder ones I surely would have missed if I hadn't watched these videos. The questions were not on any other tests. Do read the manual if you can. There are some tricky ones about like bicycle protocol, where the lights are on a bike etc. and what the penalty is for a hit and run which doesn't seem to be relevant to a knowledge test about driving. But Liz's questions really helped. And yes read all the answers and the questions carefully. Good luck.Thank you for asking.
Hey Jeanne, I am in CA and we don't have to take the test until we are 79.. I am reviewing everything helping my son take his test, it is for sure a different test comparatively. We had a VERY easy test in the 70's. it's been great for the review- I have learned a lot even after taking Drivers Ed several times for tickets..I have no accidents but several tickets - 50 years of driving - knock on wood! Good luck!
You'll have 25 questions and allowed 5 incorrect answers to pass. Most of the questions are not here or in any other website.
Just renewed my CA DL today and there were two questions that I had never seen before. One question concerned NEV signs and what they mean. The second question concerned how long can a vehicle remain parked on the freeway. According to the DMV Handbook, NEV stands for Neighborhood Electric Vehicles and the time for a vehicle to remain parked on the freeway before being towed in 4 hours. Hope this helps.

*Illegal Parking*
If you must stop on a freeway, park completely off the pavement and stay in your vehicle with the doors locked until help arrives. A vehicle that is stopped, parked, or left standing on a freeway for more than four hours may be removed.

Cannot express my gratitude! 3rd time and passed! Look I let DL lapse years back...went back, renewal and new real ID paid my fee and just needed to take the knowledge test. First test, I took some practice tests and FAIL. 2nd time I studied the driver's handbook... 2nd FAIL. 3rd and final time. DID a full read thru manual wrote things down (it helps!) and watched all your videos and even listened to them on the way to the DMV....PASS!!!!! It's just a relief and thank you. People don't think twice about watching ALL her videos! Do it!

It makes sense why #1 is the most missed question, the handbook fails to mention it. For a WHITE CURB the handbook says "stop only long enough to pick up or drop off passengers". A mail truck is never mentioned which makes it confusing and causes you to rule that out as a possible answer. The tip was incredibly helpful but that part being included in the handbook would have been most helpful.

Parking At Colored Curbs
Painted colored curbs have the following special parking rules:
• *White-Stop only long enough to pick up or drop off passengers or mail.*
• Green-Park for a limited time. Look for a posted sign next to the green zone for time limits, or locate the time limit painted on the curb.
• Yellow-Stop no longer than the time posted to load or unload passengers or freight. Drivers of noncommercial vehicles are usually required to stay with the vehicle.
• Red-No stopping, standing, or parking (buses may stop at a red zone marked for buses).
• Blue-Parking is permitted only for a disabled person or driver of a disabled person who displays a placard or special license plate for disabled persons or disabled veterans. A crosshatched (diagonal lines) area adjacent to a designated disabled parking
space is a no parking area.
@@DriversEdDirect thank you for providing the DMV link. I see that mail is clearly stated but in the tangible handbook I was recently given by the Ca DMV (pg. 42), it is not. People are not getting the same information which is problematic because that could be the difference between them passing or failing. I'm thankful to have gained a better understanding to eliminate further confusion but this will undoubtedly be an ongoing issue for Californians looking to acquire or renew their license until both sources of information are on one accord. 🤔

@@DriversEdDirect I am presently reviewing the CA Driver's Handbook 2023 edition for my driving license renewal. Page 30 says that for the color white "Stop only long enough to pick up or drop off passengers." There is no mention of mail.
Hello Dalawa, thanks for reaching out! We 100% see what you're saying and it looks like the DMV dropped that bit of info from the DMV Handbook, which means they may have adjusted their test questions regarding white colored curbs. However, it is still true that white curbs are for both passenger loading and mail drop-off, as described by California Vehicle Code 21458 (3)(B), so it's a good piece of info to know in case it's still on the test. I've pasted the current vehicle code below so you can review it, hope that helps!
*CVC 21458*
(a) Whenever local authorities enact local parking regulations and indicate them by the use of paint upon curbs, the following colors only shall be used, and the colors indicate as follows:
(1) Red indicates no stopping, standing, or parking, whether the vehicle is attended or unattended, except that a bus may stop in a red zone marked or signposted as a bus loading zone.
(2) Yellow indicates stopping only for the purpose of loading or unloading passengers or freight for the time as may be specified by local ordinance.
*(3) White indicates stopping for either of the following purposes:*
*(A) Loading or unloading of passengers for the time as may be specified by local ordinance.*
*(B) Depositing mail in an adjacent mailbox.*
(4) Green indicates time limit parking specified by local ordinance.

Sure glad I found this video! A LOT has changed since I took my last test 7 years ago! I am 85 years old and do not smoke, do not drink, do not drive at night, do not have young children, so most of those questions were new to me. Got to do a lot of memorizing now! Didn't know it was illegal to smoke in a vehicle with a child under 19 years old. I missed a few because I never heard of such before but reading carefully lets one make a good guess. Eliminate what you are positive is NOT the answer first.

I'll be 72 this month and have been a California driver for 55 years. I haven't had to take a written drivers' test in over a decade, until this morning. Thanks so much for helping me pass it on the first try! I had already taken the sample tests on the DMV site, but a few of the questions I got from your site were the ones that helped me pass the test. What a relief!

For anyone about to take permit test I failed once my first try but this will be my second try and hopefully I pass this time don't get discouraged you will pass eventually keep practicing and never give up believe anything is possible good luck to beginners

This is for everybody this is the best advice I can give I studied 3 hours a day every day for three months and I passed you can take as many times you need to until you pass it then you pay so don't worry and the DMV will let you take as much time as you need just know certain time then they put you out know you're you're fine don't worry

Great job. I appreciate your good humor, excellent DMV handbook presentation, and teaching skills. My driver's license expires this month, and your excellent explanations and suggestions will help me pass the test. For "mature" drivers like me, I haven't taken a DMV written test since I got my license as a teenager. I floundered on the initial written test, trying to understand DMV's confusing and conflicting questions and "correct" answers. Thanks for shedding light on the DMV "quiz." As a college teacher, I would give DMV a "D" for lack of clarity and poorly written questions.

Agreed. The CA DMV tests are written by idiots and are highly ambiguous. As a CA commercial driver license holder since the 1980's and a Class C driver's license holder since 1967 Commiefornia's written tests are made to trick you into failing because they probably think there are too many drivers on the road. I can't wait to join the exodus of California residents to another state! No wonder that Governor Gruesome is a "student leader" of the totalitarian World Economic Forum.

i just wanted to say thank you for making these videos!! i watched almost all of them and they were super helpful and i passed the permit test on my first try! i probably missed like 6 questions but it was because i second guessed myself and two of them i don’t think i’ve seen before. one of them said something like “the court will notify the dmv after a moving citation when” and then something about cargo on the back of a truck. anyways thanks again, and for anyone who’s going to take the test make sure to read the questions carefully, take your time, and try to imagine the scenarios in your head :)
also i used 2 of the skip buttons to save till later and that helped me to be less anxious

taking my permit test tomorrow! really nervous but im watching all these videos, studying the book, and taking permit practice tests to pass! one of my tips for remembering #5 is: under 4'9 you can't ride (in the front seat) 6,7 under 8 you need to wait. I'm not sure if that helps too much but its there!

Honestly, how am I supposed to focus on the test questions? Even though the questions are clear and large, the answers are nice and bold. I'm still failing to retain any information. Why? because the host of these video's is too damn adorable. Seriously think I lost about an hour daydreaming. Liz is too cute. Anyone who fails the test after watching these video's should blame her.

omg i took my permit test today and passed this video is so helpful and most of the question are on the test or worded out differently. But i do reccommand trying this method out if u hate to study!! THANK YOU SO MUCH LIZ YOU ARE THE BEST NEVER STOP MAKING THESES VIDEOS!!!!!
