Trying to get a learner's permit and not sure what road signs to study for the knowledge exam at the DMV?

Don’t get confused everyone. I believe one of the questions about divided highway is wrong.
The divided highway begins/ends signs are similar but just remember this.
If the marker is on the top, it begins.
If the marker is on the bottom, it ends.
Simple.

The Road Signs Tests are basic and good tests. The stop sign mean to come to complete stop. A One Way Sign, means traveling on that road is only permitted in the direction of the sign. The Solid yellow line indicates that no passing is allowed from that side; and a broken yellow line means when it is safe to do so, only passing is allowed from the left broken line. When there are two solid lines and on coming traffic on both sides of the road, no passing is allowed. When there is a broken line, and traffic is on going in both directions, when safe to pass, it is allowed, with the right or left signal to indicate in time that you are passing.

At 16:38, the sign should be W6-2 (Divided Highway Ends) instead of the incorrect sign W6-1 (Divided Highway Begins). At25:30, the Divided Highway sign is correct. Just search W6-1 or W6-2 to see the image of the signs. Memorize: 9 and 3 o'clock and 8 and 4 o'clock steering wheel hand positions (CA DMV Handbook 2023) page 11-12) , is on the renewal knowledge exam.

The answer "A: A divided highway ends" is wrong. It is "begins" but not "ends"

29:33 to make a left turn you may cross double solid yellow lines! I thought is prohibited if the double solid yellow lanes cannot pass in both lines

It says in the booklet “only when it’s safe to do so” So they should explain that here. Because there’s houses on roads like this and obviously you have to drive over those lines to get in and out of your house

I believe you can cross double yellow when turning in or out of private driveways only.

Many fail these signs everyday. Just running through stop signs following the vehicle ahead like train; some don't yield to pedestrians legally crossing, and many stop beyond the bold white markers and into the crosswalk area; many, many don't know how to merge and yield or stop, if necessary, to the right-of-way on interstate highways, etc. But, somehow the worse maintain a valid driver's license.

Your answer of "you enter a no passing zone" is wrong. A sign board must be ahead of you then you can see it. If you have already driven into the no passing zone, how can you see the sign board? So the ansew of " a no passing zone is ahead" is correct.
