@XoGabeyy I live in Canada so I’m not sure if my advice fits but, make sure you always use the parking brake when you park the vehicle. Point your tires in the correct possession on hills to roll off the road/into a curb in the event the vehicle starts moving when it shouldn’t. Also exaggerate your shoulder checks before and during lane changes/going around corners. Also do 360 checks even when you think it’s pointless. @@codygoold8877 I PASSED!!!! honestly thought i wouldn't bc i had trouble doing parallel parking since i didn't park beside a curb but rather a driveway... thank you for asking!!! :) I HOPE YOURS WENT WELL?? :)
Yes mine was one of this reason , the main reason was busy traffic and cars in right lane did not let me to change lane for about 2 lights, even i kept my turn signal on, finally i increased speed to go in and then car honked at me - and examiner intervened to prevent it. Was automatic fail. It for advance road test , its challenging more than i thought.
Today was my G test. I failed only because I was feeling nervous. I didn’t make any mistakes as such. It was raining and traffic was bit slow and foggy on the highway. So I had to use breaks to slow down. This made me fail as I should go with whatever the traffic is and shouldn’t go much on breaks but just leave the accelerator. So be not nervous is the first lesson and don’t use unnecessary breaks on highway to slow down just come out of gas pedal.
I failed my g2 road test 2 times. First time I was not able to do the parallel parking. Second time I was confident and I prepared a lot for my test but the day I had my test it was snowing and second time I did parallel parking, three point turn and reversed parking and I did all these like a pro but bcoz of snow that when I was asked to make a left turn from signal I could not see the dotted line( left turn lane). So unfortunately I made a left turn from the passing lane and bcoz of that the examiner failed me. My examiner was also impressed by my driving and by my parking skills but I think that day was not for me. Now I have booked my exam again, I have learned a lot from the previous test so I will try my best third time. Hope for the best😌
My son was failed because he did stop at a yellow and his tires went over the line. Obviously the alternative would hav been run ing the yellow. Seems like there’s no way to handle this situation correctly.
Dear Harminder Jee, your video presentations are awesome. I recently started watching and love these as these instill excellent training values and safe driving. Keep up the great job man.
I failed because of being overcautious. As I was approaching a green signal from a little distance I saw the timer going 3..2..1... Wary of running the soon to turn Yellow light, I slowed to a stop as the light turned Yellow. Examiner screamed You should have crossed. I have a strong feeling she'd've failed me had I proceeded too. Timer at near 1 second is really a tricky situation.. Doomed if you do, doomed if you don't!
I totally would’ve argued with the instructor!! Driving is all about perception and stopping at a yellow is better than running a red and possibly causing an accident :))
@@chrismarlatt1345 It's not that simple. I know a guy who failed as the light turned yellow right after he entered the intersection. The examiner shouted at him for not seeing the timer to gauge it was about to go yellow and thus prepare to stop. There are factors (even if minor) beyond one's control that may cause one to fail. The traffic situation, behaviour of drivers around you, examiner's mood (they are humans) are some of the little nagging issues that on a bad day can ruin your prospects.
@@chrismarlatt1345 Really? My driving instructor has actually encouraged me to glance at the timer to see if I have time to make the green or not. It’s useful to see remaining time. Staring at it is dangerous, but a blank stare at anything while driving is dangerous
Failed on my road test this month, Mistakes: 1. Theres a guy try crossing the road, theres no pedestrian lane but i stop and let him cross. The examiner told me you should not stop because theres no pedestrian lane there. Im trying to find the rules about that but cant find anything. Can u explain it to me? 2. Rolling stop Examiner told me turn right and its on red light. I thought what i did is full stop, so he ask me the rules about that and I answered it. And he ask me again do u think its a full stop for you? But when i watched your video today, i understand now that what i did is rolling stop. 3. Uphill parking with curb On that curb theres a big snow bank, examiner told me park on that side. I parked but after that he told me i failed you there because youre not too close on that curb. So im confused now how much distance should be? Especially theres a snow bank and im too scared. Hope you read my message. Thank you for making videos. ❤️
Congratulations on passing your G2 on the first try! 🎉 That’s an amazing achievement! I’m so glad to hear that the video helped you out. Keep up the great work, and enjoy your driving journey ahead! If you need more tips, you know where to find them! 😊🚗
I don't agree with residential area and 50. "Obey the maximum speed limit posted on signs along the road, but always drive at a speed that will let you stop safely" When I see lots of parked cars and kids playing, I'd prefer to slow down to 40 or even 35
One more reason I would like to add is - Not stopping for emergency vehicle. My co-test taker failed because he didn't stop while para medic van passed by.
If he wasn't in the ambulance's way, there's no need to stop, dude is going 65+ km/h, he's not gonna cross you unless he has at least 6 m, especially on emergencies, all emergency vehicles leave at least 3 seconds on each side on average, so there's no way the ambulance would brake in front of your co-test taker. I know because I have an emergency vehicle license myself. That was a bad forced failure.
For all those who gonna take their drive test and got cancelled due to this pandemic, it might be a good chance to keep practising. Practice everything until it's second nature to you, cuz it's all about muscle memory. When your test comes, it will be almost nothing to you and your nervousness will be little. Trust me on this, I did practice everything over and over until I got sick and tired of it but hey, it paid off and I passed my G. Good luck to all of you ^_^
Yes, practicing... In my country(Israel) you can't drive unless you have a license, and there is no lessons on this third lockdown. So, for the next few weeks there is no driving wheel...
@@kiril1 doesn't stop you from practicing, you don't need a car to practice driving, trust me. I learned to parallel park a pickup truck, without ever touching the pick-up truck, until they made me patrol with a pickup, with a huge blind spot/side, first try perfect parallel. Pickup was a 2008 Ford, 920° steering lock. To be good at driving, you have to understand driving, once you understand driving, you'd be surprised to see how you come up with driving techniques and solutions on your own and on the fly. Example, how to make a turn smaller/tighter? Turn the steering wheel more, what about high speed? You need less steering at high speeds. How do you control traction loss? If you lose traction, do weight transfer. What if my wheels spin? Put it in a lower gear, you'd get unstuck easier, or put your traction control on. Etc.
Thank you for such a heartfelt message! 😊 I’m honored to be able to help and share these tips. It’s wonderful to hear that the guidance is making a difference. I’ll keep sharing and doing my best to support everyone. Wishing you and all future drivers all the best! 🚗❤
Today I failed my road test, she states “fail to observe (FOB), Impedes” I have over 20 years and plus experience driving. That was so embarrassing. They have to make money for MDV. 0:13
Passed on my first try for my G. I sort of came to a rolling stop at a stop sign but the examiner must not have caught it. They also gave me wrong information on where to merge on to the highway and I asked to clarify at the risk of sounding combative. I was right, he made a joke and we both chuckled. Lightened the mood. I also clocked myself going 105 when getting on the highway. They didn't mention it. I was very nervous because there is so much construction on Hurontario, a lot of foot traffic in the area and the 401 is always a parking lot. That particular day it wasn't. THERE IS AN EXTENSION ON THEIR REVISED ROAD TEST THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO END IN MARCH. I WENT TO THE MISSISSAUGA LOCATION AND DIIDNT HAVE TO PARELLEL PARK, EMERGENCY STOP OR REVERSE PARKING.
Your videos are very informative. Keep up the good work. I failed the exam because I entered the bike lane unknowingly (had not practiced on roads with a bike lane)

@@TorontoDrivers I needed some advice from you. I live in Montreal. I did not have any driving exp before coming to canada. It took me 5 attempts to clear the QC knowledge test which was very demotivating. I have failed my driving test twice (both at Henri Borussa which is generally considered quite strict) and have my third attempt in Feb. After diligently following all the driving rules, making notes, taking enough pratice classes, watching numerous driving videos, I still make mistakes. I do not how I get better even after devoting my 100%. I feel I get a bit anxious and thats the reason I make mistakes. Do you have any suggestions to get over it.
@@dylanfernandes342 Montréal SAAQ Dorval first time pass here, 1) give yourself a break, 2) give yourself a break 3) ok, I won't troll, the reason you need to give yourself a break is because, the more you are focusing on driving, the harder driving is, and mistakes are bound to happen, think as a 4A licence holder I don't make mistakes? I still do, for example not going at the far most lane while doing U-turns, or not honking at dreamy pedestrians crossing in front of an Econoline going at 40km/h, slowing down to change lanes, driving too slowly before merging on an highway (that nearly got me hit by a truck), coming too far from a no lane road with a vehicle with no C pillars, giving my blind side (still an Econoline) to a truck (really bad move in an emergency). So yeah, mistakes are bound to happen, if you're having difficulty parking, that's another story, if you want advanced knowledge on driving, that's also another story, if you want the story on my driving tests, which was full instant failure mistakes, and how I managed to pass first try still, try looking in community or at my other comments on the channel.

All of my instructors don’t like the jolt lol. That’s how my driving became smooth and jolt-free. They rather make me do the gradual speed decrease. I still remember the times I made a jolt, the change in their faces were turning me crazy 😂
I failed for not waiting for enough cars to pass when turning right like at 6:20 I saw a gap and took it but it looks like I didn’t wait long enough. I waited for 5 or 6 cars to pass but I guess that was not enough. Be patient and wait for all cars to pass but I don’t know if the cars would ever all clear it was a tricky situation. Also NEVER tell them you are nervous! If they ask say no or they will try their best to fail. The person also got mad at me for clicking done when signing my name in the box which is dumb
Hello! I have a question. Should I wait till both lanes are clear before making a right on red.. a lot of people are saying no, but others say yes turn right when only that lane is clear. But I’ve had instances where the people in the left have swerved mid intersection into the lane I’m trying to turn into..? What do I do
i failed my G2 test because i yield the right of way to a J walker that jump in-front of my car and the examiner told me you have a right of way and he failed me because of that i think that’s not fair to risk to kill a J walker because of a G2 test.
Hi harminder. i Always face hard time while turning left on road from any plaza, can you please make a video on lane understanding, even at intersection, i can’t understand the road and i can’t estimate the lane in which i need to go while making left turn, which results in slower left turn. I failed my test 2 times because of lane problem. Can you please make a video on lane understanding on 4 lane road. Thanks🙏🏽
Going in for my 2nd G2 road test tomorrow. Failed my first one for the following: We were coming up to a fairly busy street-3 lanes going each way, separated by a median. This was one of those intersections with the little triangle islands for right turns, and I was turning right. Traffic was flowing well, nothing crazy, no accidents, quite smooth, but obviously anything can change (spoilers: it didn't). Anyways, I saw one car coming from the other side of the intersection turn right, so I crept up a bit. Then the car behind that also turned right, leaving a decent gap for me to merge into. So I merged. That's what failed me. Not waiting until AAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the cars were done and gone before moving on was what failed me; gotta wait for every single car to be totally gone, apparently.
I failed my road test because I didn't stop on a narrow two-way road where a truck was trying to turn into the road. The truck was waiting for me to stop so it could turn, but I didn't stop, and it turned without noticing me, causing me to fail.
if you use a regressive braking technique you wouldnt have a joilt and joilt it is not good; it means that driver wasn't taught how to properly braking and overpressed braking pedal
braking and crossing the yellow light is a law violation and this is when police officers pull you over and give a ticket. And you can not fight it in the court. It is also an automatic fail in a test. Braking at a yellow light means you are hesitant and you don't know what to do.
During lane change my blind spot monitor system started dinging .. then I speeded up and at the same time the examiner told to speed up. This was the reason she failed me. However the situation was very tricky there were lot of cars standing at traffic and when it turned green and traffic started moving she asked to do lane change. What is the best in this situation?
You're welcome! If you found the content helpful, don't hesitate to check out more of my videos for further tips and tricks. Happy driving, and stay safe on the roads! 😊🚗
Sir I have been watching videos on Parallel parking and reverse parking but I still am struggling with it when I go for my Training and my instructor does tell me and yells if I get those wrong I am good with front parking though are there any other tips on how to learn these? Also there are times when my instructor has to intervene when I am leaning in car it most happens when the roads are curve so are there any videos where I can learn how properly maneuver the car when this happens sir?
Hi Neil! You had mentioned in a text earlier that this is your 4th instructor. Changing too many instructors is also not advisable. Sometimes we as learners could be making repeated mistakes which causes some instructors to lose their patience. So I would recommend asking your instructor what your core areas of improvement are and then work with him on those. The students I liked teaching the most as an instructor were the ones who took great interest in learning and were inquisitive.
Hi there, you can explain any technique that is necessary in driving for those of us who have never driven before! I have an exam in November next month, please!!
I failed because...I passed someone who was parallel parking, driving down the middle of the street when there were cars parked along the right side, and stopping at a stop sign to close to the intersection because I didn't see the white line due to all of the wet leaves on the ground.
I failed because my instructor abandoned me on the day of the road test and I was handed off to someone else who did not go through the route before the test. I lost $275 that day because I had to pay him
It's a judgement call, rule of thumb: don't confuse others. It is advisable to put it before you reach the dashed lines, EVEN when there are no cars, this saved me at least 4 accidents from the 3 last consecutive days. If your blinker stays on too long, people will just pass you. Not enough, you get into a crash.
I failed when I was signaling to the left he said I cut the guy behind me now that u explained it I was supposed to go in when I had enough space not a minimum
I'm sorry to hear that, but don't be too hard on yourself. It's natural to want to drive cautiously, especially during a test. The key is finding the right balance between safety and confidence on the road. Take this as a learning experience, and next time, try to focus on matching your speed to the flow of traffic while staying within the speed limits. You’ve got this, and I know you’ll do better on your next attempt! 🚗✨

@@codygoold8877 I PASSED!!!! honestly thought i wouldn't bc i had trouble doing parallel parking since i didn't park beside a curb but rather a driveway... thank you for asking!!! :) I HOPE YOURS WENT WELL?? :)
@@Tonytoejam omg i missed your comment but i passed and is finally a G2 driver lol! how did yours go??
Ohh really I failed 2 time now booked for 3rd time same mistakes I made.
What about ur 3rd test ??
My son was failed because he did stop at a yellow and his tires went over the line. Obviously the alternative would hav been run ing the yellow. Seems like there’s no way to handle this situation correctly.
Dear Harminder Jee, your video presentations are awesome. I recently started watching and love these as these instill excellent training values and safe driving. Keep up the great job man.
Thanks a ton! 🙌😄 Your kind words mean a lot! I'll definitely keep the content coming, and here's to safe and awesome driving! 🚗👍
That examiner was an asshole!
I totally would’ve argued with the instructor!! Driving is all about perception and stopping at a yellow is better than running a red and possibly causing an accident :))
drivers are NOT supposed to look at the timers, they are not there for that reason and as such this is why you were failed on the test.
Failed on my road test this month,
Mistakes:
1. Theres a guy try crossing the road, theres no pedestrian lane but i stop and let him cross. The examiner told me you should not stop because theres no pedestrian lane there.
Im trying to find the rules about that but cant find anything. Can u explain it to me?
2. Rolling stop
Examiner told me turn right and its on red light. I thought what i did is full stop, so he ask me the rules about that and I answered it. And he ask me again do u think its a full stop for you?
But when i watched your video today, i understand now that what i did is rolling stop.
3. Uphill parking with curb
On that curb theres a big snow bank, examiner told me park on that side. I parked but after that he told me i failed you there because youre not too close on that curb. So im confused now how much distance should be? Especially theres a snow bank and im too scared.
Hope you read my message.

I passed my G test today. Thank you 🙏🏽 ❤️
I passed my road test today too !!! 🍾
I don't agree with residential area and 50.
"Obey the maximum speed limit posted on signs along the road, but always drive at a speed that will let you stop safely"
When I see lots of parked cars and kids playing, I'd prefer to slow down to 40 or even 35
I think it all depends on the context. Similar to how you’d drive slower in the rain

Etc.

Keep watching this video .. taking my 4th road test next week..
Hello! I have a question. Should I wait till both lanes are clear before making a right on red.. a lot of people are saying no, but others say yes turn right when only that lane is clear. But I’ve had instances where the people in the left have swerved mid intersection into the lane I’m trying to turn into..? What do I do
Turn right on a red only if the lane is fully clear. The light is red anyways, so no one can complain if you dont turn..
Thank you so much ☺
Thanks a lot for watching, friend!
what if we are able to stop when the light is turning yellow? even if its a sudden stop wil that cost demerit points?
i failed my G2 test because i yield the right of way to a J walker that jump in-front of my car and the examiner told me you have a right of way and he failed me because of that
i think that’s not fair to risk to kill a J walker because of a G2 test.
Omg that is totally wrong. You need to hit the brakes at such times and honk.
Thanks🙏🏽
is the parallel parking mandatory during the road test? If yes, why they don't teach me it in the driving school?😮
Going in for my 2nd G2 road test tomorrow. Failed my first one for the following:
We were coming up to a fairly busy street-3 lanes going each way, separated by a median.
Did you pass
@@ezorist The 2nd time, yes, but that was after a lot of crunch time practice and general learning
I failed my road test because I didn't stop on a narrow two-way road where a truck was trying to turn into the road. The truck was waiting for me to stop so it could turn, but I didn't stop, and it turned without noticing me, causing me to fail.

Can you fail due to been too much conscious and obeying the rules or been slow not much slower
dont count on a stop sign, look left, center right!!! That'll automatically be 3 seconds while actually serving the purpose of the stop
if you use a regressive braking technique you wouldnt have a joilt and joilt it is not good; it means that driver wasn't taught how to properly braking and overpressed braking pedal
Can I use my own car during the road test
hello sir car test me students ke pass car nahi hoti hai to car hame kon provide kar ta hai driver test centre?
braking and crossing the yellow light is a law violation and this is when police officers pull you over and give a ticket. And you can not fight it in the court. It is also an automatic fail in a test. Braking at a yellow light means you are hesitant and you don't know what to do.
Can someone help with speed limits in Ontario? So 100 on highways, and on streets 50? Even though one way single line
Gracias my friend
During lane change my blind spot monitor system started dinging .. then I speeded up and at the same time the examiner told to speed up. This was the reason she failed me. However the situation was very tricky there were lot of cars standing at traffic and when it turned green and traffic started moving she asked to do lane change. What is the best in this situation?
Thanks lot!

Hey, there I have G2 as well and have never driven before. The best bet is to take lessons and practice as much as you can. Being confident is key.
are you still an instructor? or do you have any recommendations on who to go to? please help
I am afraid, I do not teach driving anymore. You could try Raza from Globe Driving Academy. He is a good instructor.
I failed because...I passed someone who was parallel parking, driving down the middle of the street when there were cars parked along the right side, and stopping at a stop sign to close to the intersection because I didn't see the white line due to all of the wet leaves on the ground.
Not all stop signs have a white line, if you cant see it stop before the sign itself
please make a video on all the road signs with explanation
I failed because my instructor abandoned me on the day of the road test and I was handed off to someone else who did not go through the route before the test. I lost $275 that day because I had to pay him
Hi harminder, when is the time you gonna signal, how many meters, before you go to the left or right turn?can you make videos for that..Thank you
I was going to ask the same question sir how would I know how many meters should I keep
It is advisable to signal after the driveway closer to the stop sign otherwise do it about 30 to 40 meters before that.
@@TorontoDrivers Thank you sir
It's a judgement call, rule of thumb: don't confuse others.
It is advisable to put it before you reach the dashed lines, EVEN when there are no cars, this saved me at least 4 accidents from the 3 last consecutive days.
If your blinker stays on too long, people will just pass you.
Not enough, you get into a crash.

I failed because I was driving too cautiosly in G test and not fast enough. well I just drove at a speed that I felt its safe :(
I'm sorry to hear that, but don't be too hard on yourself. 🚗✨
