- Hey guys! This is Driving TV and welcome once again to our channel. In todays video we will go over the Road Test or Driving Test maneuvers to assist all new drivers in obtaining their driver’s license. By now you should be familiar with everything you are about to see on the test. Hope you already practiced each technique a few times and you are comfortable performing them. While it’s completely normal to feel a bit nervous before the Road Test, some students find test anxiety debilitating, unable to concentrate. This is normal, just try to calm yourself down, keep in mind that the more relax you are the better. If you don’t pass the first time for any silly mistake, don’t worry, it happens. Just learn from it and go try again as soon as possible. Hope you enjoy our video and don’t forget to subscribe so you won’t miss out on any future video! Let’s get started.
The big day has come, let’s go over everything you are about to see on the Road Test. Once you get to the DMV Office and meet with the DMV examiner you will go to the testing area where your car is, hopefully this is the same car you have been practicing with. If not, once you get inside make sure you adjust the seat, mirrors and put the seatbelt on and wait for instructions from the examiner. One important thing you need to know is that obtaining a perfect score while it is certainly possible during a driving evaluation your examiner doesn’t expect that or requires it, all that is expected or required is a passing score. Contrary to what you might believe the DMV examiners are not out to pass or fail anybody they are out to assess performance and if the performance is good enough you will get a passing score and if is not enough you will get a failing score. Through my experience this is what the DMV examiners are looking for, is more than just proper driving mechanics, there are certain clues and signals that the examiner will be looking for to develop an overall picture of your driving ability, the command that you show over the vehicle and to make sure you have proper awareness of your surroundings.

Here in Pa you don’t even go on the road cause of corona. You’re in your car by yourself with the instructor watching from outside and all you do is parallel park. That’s literally it 🤣

I was here a day ago, before my road test- thanks to some of these videos they actually helped me have a little more confidence on what to expect, and happy to say I actually passed. For anyone who gets extreme anxiety like me, relax, don't worry about what you can't control, and honestly the test is NOT nearly as hard as your brain makes you think it is. After getting my learners permit it turned to hell for me,passing the written test wasn’t as much hurdle as the road test. I failed thrice!!! Those supervisors are a thing, kept on failing me until I was recommended to this Test drive Professional who without much stress from me and more effort from him helped me and I was able to get my license without the road test, glad I was able to finally find a way lazy me lol

No seriously same.
Here's the tips:
1. Be able to perform the following: u-turn, parking, reverse, 3 point turn, parallel parking, checking your mirrors, accelerating, braking, and using your turn signals
2. Relax. Don't be nervous!
3. Make sure seat, mirrors and seatbelt are adjusted correctly.
4. You will probably not get a perfect score on the test, and that's okay!
5. Once in the car, wait for the examiner's instructions to turn on the car.
6. You will be asked to turn on turn signals, hazard lights, emergency brake, etc.
7. Use reverse to slowly back out of the parking space, keeping aware of your surroundings. Make sure to turn your head and look out the back window.
8. Stay in the center of your lane.
9. Pit on turn signal when asked to turn, and stay on the correct lame when turning.
10. Stop on red lights, don't stop on green.
11. At stop signs, make sure to stop completely in front of a stopping line or crosswalk, or before the intersection.
12. Signal immediately after asked to change lanes. Check blind spot each time.
13. If you have a backup camera, you are not allowed to use it. Use the mirrors and windows.
14. In a three point turn, look both ways on the street. Avoid hitting the curb.
15. Make sure you know how to use your parking brake.
16. You should park 9-18 inches from the curb.
17. Good luck with your test guys, I believe in you! Just make sure to listen to your instructor, follow the traffic rules, and be very careful and aware of other cars. Don't be nervous! You can do it!

you can use your rear view camera, you just can’t rely on it alone. it’s important for k turns especially so make sure if you use it that you check both over your shoulder and through your mirrors at the same time.

Edit: I FINALLY passed like 2 weeks ago after failing two times over very minor mistakes. I passed with a 90% and have been driving my car to and from work and getting around whenever I want. It’s a different kind of freedom!!!

Just practice and you’ll do fine on your test I passed my first time with a 79 and he said I was a good driver I just got points for a few very minor things. The test is really not that bad at all it was way easier then I thought. Seriously I know everyone says it but just relax and be confident it seriously helps and talk to the instructor especially if he/she is a friendly one and you’ll do fine. The people at where I did mine were all very chill and cool and it made me very comfortable and I wasn’t really nervous at all when I actually did the test even though I was terrified the week before

Advice for everyone... take your time... especially the parallel parking. No rush. Make sure to get rid of those nerves before you start it can really take over you and make you make nonsensical mistakes. Good luck 🍀👍🏽

I take my test this Thursday. I feel ready, but super nervous. Just finally ready to get my license. I procrastinated getting my license for two years because I honestly was just terrified of driving, but once I practiced for the first time, it was definitely all in my head and it was easier than I made it out to be 😅

There's hope for me then. I'm a procrastinating myself.
A few years ago when I was getting my licence , my teacher told me to put my arms behind the seat when I was backing out (as you instructed) but when I went for the test , the examiner told me to keep both my hands on the wheel.
That's how I learned to drive also. I am not able to put my arm over the seat while driving. I've always been told to keep both hands into the wheel

I took my test today and nearly passed but failed because of going through a yellow light. Next time I’ll definitely STOP because if I would’ve stopped, I would’ve passed. My test is rescheduled for next month because that’s when there are openings and I’m confident that I’ll pass

I watched this video and others like it to help me pass (in addition to lots of time on the road). It wasn’t as hard as it seemed like it was going to be, at least for me. It’s better to be over prepared than not. I would encourage looking at videos of actual people taking the road test and seeing how they passed (how they turn at intersections, etc). That was very helpful for me. Good luck everyone!

I'm really happy today, I got my driver's license delivered to my mail. I had my driving test twice and failed both time because I get super anxious!
And I will love to share my steps and tips with y'all.
Try to focus on increasing your confidence levels. First, if you absolutely cannot control your anxiety like I, taking a few deep breaths usually helps in relaxing. Whether that helps or not, I HIGHLY recommend watching RUclips videos of road test recorded using a dashcam or you pay a professional dmv attorney that can walk you through the process of skipping the test drive to get your license. Are you worried of failing, Are you worried of being in the vehicle with a stranger? Combo of both? Something else? paying an attorney to do that work is just the best way to overcome your worries and get your license like I do.
Remember
"Practice makes Perfect."
............and there's nothing to worry about if you did it well on your own!

This helped so much! I passed today sept 7 2022 and it was thanks to God and your videos! I only had 8 hours Of driving and when I took the mock test the day before, I failed. But when taking the actual test the following day, I passed. This shows anything is possible! I watched your videos right before my test!
Tips: It’s better to go a little under the speed limit than a little faster.
Make sure to scan the road everytime you approach an intersection.
And make sure to FULLY STOP at a stop sign and look both ways before continuing.
Be calm because if you’re not it can cause mistakes.
If I can pass with little practice, so can you!

Just passed my road test today and cannot believe I passed because I saw the instructor marking things down on the paper and was very nervous, but I only got marked on 2 or 3 points and If I would’ve got marked off on 6 points then it would’ve been a fail, but I nailed it like a boss. To those who are nervous about taking the test, my suggestion is that you practice driving everyday before taking the test, practice the parallel parking which is what a lot of people fail at, and just keep them eyes on the road and be prepared for any driving questions that the instructor asks.

I’m taking my test today at 3:10, I’ve been stressing over how I’d do since last night and I have been practicing but I think I might mess up my reverse parking because I’m using a 2003 nissan truck, works like a charm but I always have to look behind me when reversing since the mirrors are confusing sometimes 😅 I’m really nervous but these videos do help with my confidence

I passed my road test today after watching and practicing all day yesterday and these videos really helped me
took my test this morning, i got my permit almost three months ago and passed the written test with a 100%. i never took drivers ed so most of my knowledge is self taught or from parents/friends. I've been practicing my driving every single day and was honestly very confident i would pass. WRONG!! i didn't even make it out of the parking space because i didn't put my hand on the passenger seat while backing up. plus the lady doing my driving test was really mean. but I've rescheduled another test for 4 days from now and hopefully watching these videos will teach me the things i wasn't fortunate enough to learn in a driving class.

I passed. I failed 3 times, one bc of parallel parking and the other two bc of silly mistakes. I was nervous the whole test but you can be nervous and attentive. It also really depends on location. Try to find the easiest course possible and go at a time the road isn’t busy. This time I passed I drove to a dmv 1+ away. If ur reading this good luck.
