Basically here's how to pass your road test summed up. Drive cautiously and like you are constantly very aware of the dangers of driving. The instructors don't want to see how good of a driver you are. They want to see how cautious/careful of a driver you are. There's plenty of drivers in all different kinds of races and supercars that are phenomenally skilled drivers but they drive dangerously as hell at the same time due to having to drive as fast as possible for their sports. That's a great driver but not a careful/cautious one. On you're road test, be a careful driver, better to exaggerate it than not.

I just passed my driving test this morning. I missed a few points on the parking but it turned out okay. Making tiny mistakes is okay as long as you realize your mistakes and go on. Its not as hard as some people say. You got this buddy!

1. 2 shoulder checks for lane changes!!!
2. keep a 2-3 second distant between the car in front of you
3. Have correct lane positioning
- Don't stay too close to parked cars, shoulder change and move to the other lane if needed

rule #1- NO namby pampy bidness.
After 2 fails I finally got my license! It's pretty easy for the evaluator to fail you for simple mistakes so keep your head up if it happens. Failure doesn't necessarily mean you're a bad driver. Keep practicing and go at it again. You're bound to get someone who believes in you. But for me I took a step further by contacting a private license and professional dmv agent that helped me to write a provisional letter to bypass the test drive and i was given a provisional driver's license which will last for 12 months. I got a license now and it will serve for 1 year then I renew again.
My little advice.
* If you think are too nervous for the test drive then you can easily switch to a provisional driver's license which you won't need to test drive.
I’m seriously in need of my license now. I live with my grand mom and she’s a cancer patient and I need to work but I need my license ASAP please can you recommend me to your professional
I'm gonna be 27 and still don't have my license because my family always keeps me inside the house. Luckily I applied for jobs to find my way out of this cage. They only taught me to drive i neighbourhoods and shame me for not getting a license like my younger cousin who's mom is less strict. I'm tired of it and am tired of my life being drained, I want to take action for my own life and am doing it slowly but believe soon I can at least get my license if I keep it up with studying and practicing but I don’t think I can cos I got a lotta work to do. Can you help?
Its been a horrific process for me, i have failed thrice and not like i am proud of myself but i think sometimes the evaluators knowingly fail you so you could retake and it lines their pocket doing that. Speaking of which, isn’t the permit the same as a provisional license

I failed my test today and can’t stop crying. I feel like an absolute failure. I was driving too slow but I didn’t agree because I hit all the red lights on that street so I didn’t want to have to make an abrupt stop if I started going too fast. None of my family failed their test and everyone is making fun of me, which just makes me feel worse. I’m taking it again on the 24th, so we’ll see if I fail again

Doctor Rick, I took my driving test an hour ago in WV and I passed on first try. Your videos were a tremendous help, specially parallel parking, I aced it! I practiced almost everyday for two weeks and it paid off. I am ecstatic because I no longer will have to depend on Uber or anybody to get around from now on.

Just passed my drivers test and the main advice I would give to anyone taking the test is to breathe, stay calm, and be alert. As long as you do that, and have had proper practice, you will crush this test. I did just that and I passed with flyig colours. Practice, and stay calm.

Thank you so much! Watched this video this morning and then I passed today after failing twice. Every time I failed I would get so discouraged I would stop practicing my driving. Even if you've failed before it's important to keep practicing and trying again. Know that you are not defined by those failures, that they are learning opportunities for the next test. I did almost everything wrong last time, ended up over the curb when parking, and knowing that I already failed caused me to mess up a lot of other things. This time I learned from my mistakes and only lost 5 points for signaling too early, thanks to watching a lot of your helpful videos and practicing every day. Passed my test today! Thank you so much for this video. I failed my first test, and was feeling like maybe driving just wasn’t for me after all. I’m 46 in a month and I just got my N today! I was SO nervous, I almost didn’t go to my test. When all was said and done, I had 3 minor mistakes. I’m sure these were due to nerves. I was so happy when she turned to me and said congratulations! I still can’t believe it. Thank you SO MUCH! And for anyone out there worried if they can pass it. You can, just breathe and remember to do all your mirror, signal, shoulder checks and obey all laws. When he was talking about the difference between 2-way stop and 4-way stop signs, he might as well have been speaking Chinese to me because idk why it just doesn’t go through my thick skull 😭 I have so much trouble understanding what to do at complicated stop sign encounters. Who goes first? Which direction? I have a feeling I’m gonna fail the road test over this. 😢
Hello! On a 2 way stop sign, traffic at the intersection ALWAYS has the right away. Only proceed when it’s safe and if you were the first to get to the stop sign. Usually on a 2 way stop sign, there’s a stop sign on your side of the street, and for the cars in the street in front of you. Cars going from the left and right have the right away because they don’t have a stop sign. On a 4-way stop sign, the first person to stop at their stop sign gets to go first. HOWEVER, if there’s a situation where you and a car to your right stop at the same time, the car on the right gets to go. It’s called the right-hand-rule.

What are the different classes?
@@treyway1043 class 7 for Novice license and class 5 for full license. That’s how it works in BC Canada
@@jacobpitre1900 oh it’s different in US. They just have the paper test which is about the road signs and questions regarding merging and stuff like that and then you have to do the road test which is the driving part to get your full license

Dear Rick, I took my road test today and passed with flying colors according to the examiner! I was a nervous wreck getting into the DMV here in Tennessee but I made it! My examiner even went up to my husband after the actual test to chat. He first made it look like I failed. He said, ' are you sure you want her driving you?'. It was hilarious!
My written test also received high scores (although the actual number wasn't shared with me). Your channel helped me a lot to prepare for both. You explain everything so quickly. Thank you for all you do. God bless you always and be safe!

This video really helped me lot before my drive test. I was so nervous on drive test day as I failed on first attempt and it was my second attempt. I watch this video and all videos posted under sub head , It contains minor details to avoid the mistakes. Thanks for the tips, I had to go do my G drivers test in Canada and there were a few things you said that I did not think about (and now will start doing) I got almost perfect on my test, only demerit point was due to me merging on the QEW highway and the truck in front of us slammed on it's breaks so I had to break hard, tester said it was not my fault really, but that I should give trucks a wider birth in the front AND back (we were behind it) just in case something like this happens.
Was very pleased with my ability to drive, your video really gave me the boost of confidence knowing I was doing the proper way of checking things before turning / merging / accelerate fast enough (I realized I was going slower than normal because of nervousness but put my foot down to speed up ) Thanks for the tips! :)

Thanks for the info. My driving test is 3 weeks away, I am still not very confident. My driving teacher told me that I don't need to should check when turning left, but I guess I will do all shoulder check everytime I turn
I just wanted to say thank you for this video and all the other ones that you posted. In my final required 2 hours before my road test, I made several mistakes that would have cost me dearly if it were my actual road test. Things such as not checking for incoming traffic properly when making a right turn after coming to a complete stop, driving too slowly (its not just going too fast that will get you in trouble), not doing proper head checks, and worse, changing lanes in the middle of an intersection during a turn! After I was done, I was a nervous wreck, and wondering how I was gonna be ready for my road test since as a working adult, I didn't have access to a car to practice with from friends or family members, or as much time due to work. I also didn't have extra money to cough up to rent another car from my driving school, so it was now or never if I wanted to pass. Next time was not an option for me. So I found this channel and watched each and every video that I came across, reviewing several times before work and right before bed. Then, after about 2 weeks of mental practice, it was test time. I went in at about noon earlier today, and passed on my first try!

@@smartdrivetest Just came back home after...passing my road test! My nerves were in a knot but I felt better once further out on the drive. I still feel like jello but I'm so happy it's over.
I just passed the test (it’s really not as bad as you think). I was in the same shoes as a lot of people frantically searching for how to pass and what not to do and blah blah, and I passed with a 96 or something. Dont over-stress yourself. Be confident (not stupid) and just appear in control the whole time. Also use your manners because the person testing you has the power to fail you at any point. YOU GOT THIS!

Took my driving test today in Findlay, OH. The only thing they marked me off for is wrong use of turn signals. I passed the maneuverability with flying colors. I couldn't have done it without your videos!

I passed my Driver's License Road Test yesterday and I'm so thankfully to this channel for that. In the last moment, I mainly took lessons on-line from two channels and this is one of them. I passed even though I've been behind a wheel in my entire life no more than 5 hours. I don't recommend going to the test without any practice at all but in my case, I couldn't afford to drive a car for several reasons in a long time until now. I spent hours even by the early morning, watching these videos on RUclips. Despite of I couldn't go out to practice in a car I got in my brother's car parked on the driveway and although inside my mind, I render all maneuvers again and again to get proper assimilation. That was my attitude and if I could do it, you can too! Best wishes and Good Luck!

Excellent advice! And I was impressed how he pointed out the need to signal before going around an obstruction; in his case he was passing a stopped recycling truck. I’m stunned at how many bad drivers today fail to signal, especially if it involves crossing solid lines into what could be oncoming traffic. Likewise holding the steering wheel with both hands. You lose count as to how many reckless drivers steer with one hand (or just a wrist!), often just at the top of the wheel. If what you’re doing would have made you fail the driving test, then you probably never learned how to drive correctly.
Everyone drives with one had dude, unless you’re so weird mf
Sometimes, my dad steers with his thigh while distracted. It's a miracle that he has his license still.
