My dad's petition asks to upload parents' marriage certificate, but my mom's petition does not. Is there something wrong or does the system just figure out these 2 beneficiaries are married and only need marriage cert on one petition?

I have submitted my petitions to USCIS for both of my parents however I forgot to add my name as one of their children on “beneficiary’s family”. I just realized it now that I should have put my name too together with my two siblings. Is there any way to correct it or add my name on it or should I wait for the USCIS if they requires/ask for it? Thank you so much! 😊

Hi! I just filed a petition for my minor kids yesterday, and I think I made a mistake by skipping the part where they are asking for my employment history. I've put on unemployed on the first child but skipped that part when I was doing it for my 2nd child. 😢 Initially I thought it should be fine because it isn't marked with asterisk but now I'm worried knowing I've made a mistake. To be honest, I was rushing because I was doing childcare to my babies. Please don't judge me and please advice me on what should I do to correct that.

For example, I worked from March 2024 to the present, but I was not working in January and February. Before January, I was employed at a different job. For example, if one parent is a step parent, then for the relationship to beneficiary, there is only one selection stating "stepchild or stepparent" which doesn't make sense if only one parent is a step parent. Also, what if you are self-employed?

Hi @kseniyainternational. Thanks so much for your efforts and thorough explanation. I’ve always been nervous to start this process but your videos have given me the courage to begin just like you say at the beginning of your video, “ to enable us do this ourselves”. QUESTION: My parents have been married before I was born and still married, but from my country, marriage certificate is not such a big deal so they don’t have it. But because I have to start this process, I asked them to get a marriage certificate which they did but the certificate has been dated for the time they showed up for the certificate which was December 2023 which is recently. I’m 26 and not sure if that’ll be an issue because I think I saw somewhere that it says if parents are married before you turn 18. They were but just didn’t have a cert then. Please from that knowledge you have about this processes, what do you think it should be. Will it work for the application or not. For the current certificate they have. THANK YOU.

Hi kseniya , I need your guidance asap please, I took mom for the medical exam yesterday and they ask me for her vaccinations record, I provided them with her 2 shots of Covid document only , I don’t have her other vaccinations documents everything is back home so they ask me for at least 4 vaccinations .
The question is can I get her those vaccines documents from back home where she has her primary care doctor and medical history, I don’t want to put her in any risk for making her receiving those vaccines twice she is over 80 she just got here to the USA 3 months ago and I’m trying to adjust her status.
I will really appreciate your response or any other advices from anyone who’s been in same situation as me .

How do you prove a common law marriage when there was no marriage cert. My parents were married locally and traditionally. It was a verbal marriage and there was no documented proof of marriage. But she she changed her last name to my father's name in my birth cert.
I don't know how to continue this I-130 form without this piece of evidence

Hi Miss Kseniya. Thank you for your great informative video.
Just a quick question. I have filled and just submitted the first petition for my father and working out on filing the second petition for my mother.
Do i need to mention my father petition in the “prior petition” section on my mother’s i-130 form?
    When petition filed?
Where petition filed? I dont know what to put here (my city and state)?
Petition decision.? Should i put processing?
    Waiting for reply. Thank you

This section is very confusing for me, please can i have some more clarity because some people online said that the previous petition needs to be mentioned on new petition.
Im doing both parents petition on same day, and the first petition is already submitted with receipt number issued.

Thank you for the information but still have a question: my husband (us citizen) petitioned me in 2019 I got my green card and in 2020 petition for my daughter who are his stepdaughter and she got a green card too due to my husband is not her biological father she was not able to get the citizenship. I removed the conditions on my green card and applied for my citizenship and got it last August and my husband applied for removed the conditions on my daughter green card and still no decision was made just got an extension of her green card but since I got the citizenship I summit the N600 for my daughter under her own uscis account because she is 11 yo and still has no answer but the question here is now I’m applying for my mom I130 what I should answer if I have petition for somebody else!? Filed the N600 for my under 18 daughter count as a petition or no!?
    Thank you in advance 😅
